President Droupadi Murmu to visit Hyd: Here are traffic diversion for 26-30 Dec

In view of this, the following traffic restrictions/diversions will be enforced by the hyderabad city police during these five days:.

Hyderabad: President Droupadi Murmu will visit the city from 26 to 30 December. In view of this, the following traffic restrictions/diversions will be enforced by the Hyderabad city police during these five days:

26 DECEMBER: BOLLARUM TO SOMAJIGUDA

3 p.m to 10 p.m

Traffic congestion is expected between Hakimpet–Trimulgherry– Karkhana–Secunderabad Club–Tivoli–Plaza–Begumpet–Raj Bhavan Road–Somajiguda. The general public are advised to choose alternate route by taking ORR from Shameerpet to Medchal and proceed via Kompally–Suchithra–Bowenpally– Tadbund–Lee Royal Palace–CTO or from Shameerpet take BITS, Hyderabad route and proceed to Keesara–Ghatkesar–Uppal/ Nacharam–Tarnaka route. Those who are coming from or going to Karimnagar route (Rajiv Rahadari) are advised to avoid JBS–Alwal route and are requested to take ORR–Medchal/Ghatkesar exit to reach Kompally/Uppal, respectively.

Junctions to be avoided : Citizens are requested to avoid the following junctions where traffic congestion is expected: Bollarum, Alwal, Lothkunta, Trimulgherry, Karkhana, JBS, Plaza junction, PNT flyover, HPS Out Gate, Begumpet flyover, Greenlands junction, Monappa junction, Yashoda Hospital (Somajiguda Road), MMTS, and VV statue junction (Khairatabad).

Diversion points:

1. Traffic coming from AOC Centre and intending to proceed to Karkhana (Airtel) will be diverted at Laxmi Nagar towards J.B.S. Picket.

2. Traffic coming from Balaji Nagar, Ammuguda, and Nagadevata temple intending to proceed to Lal Bazar will be diverted at Ambedkar statue, Lal Bazar towards KV junction, RK Puram, AOC Centre, etc.

3. Traffic coming from Sangeet junction, Tarnaka and other routes intending to proceed towards Bowenpally via Sweekar Upkar–Tivoli will be diverted at Sangeet junction towards Garden, Patny, Paradise, CTO junction, Rajiv Gandhi statue, Balamrai and Tadbund crossroads.

4. Traffic coming from north zone intending to proceed towards Begumpet will be diverted at SBH junction towards RP Road (Bata/Bible House).

5. YMCA flyover will be closed and traffic coming from north zone will be diverted at YMCA junction towards Clock Tower/RP road.

6. Traffic coming from Upper Tank Bund and Bible House intending to proceed towards Paradise will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.

7. Traffic coming from Shadan College and Khairatabad flyover and intending to proceed towards Raj Bhavan will be diverted at Khairatabad junction towards Panjagutta junction.

8. Traffic coming from Greenlands junction and intending to proceed towards Raj Bhavan road will be diverted at Monappa junction, Somajiguda towards Panjagutta junction.

TSRTC buses plying from Secunderabad towards Ameerpet and Mehdipatnam through Begumpet and Raj Bhavan are requested to avoid the above routes and use Upper Tank Bund to reach their destinations.

27 DECEMBER, BOLLARUM TO NARAYANAGUDA

9 a.m to noon

Traffic congestion is expected between Hakimpet–Trimulgherry– Karkhana–Secunderabad Club–Tivoli–Plaza–CTO– Paradise–Ranigunj–Karbala–Tank Bund–Liberty–Himayath Nagar Y junction–Narayanguda crossroads–YMCA.

The general public are advised to choose alternative route by taking ORR from Shameerpet to Medchal and proceed via Kompally–Suchitra–Bowenpally– Tadbund–Lee Royal palace–CTO (or) from Shameerpet take BITS, Hyderabad route and proceed to Keesara–Ghatkesar–Uppal/ Nacharam–Tarnaka route.

Those who are coming from or going to the Karimnagar route (Rajiv Rahadari) are advised to avoid JBS–Alwal route and are requested to take ORR–Medchal/ Ghatkesar exit to reach Kompally/Uppal, respectively. Tank Bund will be closed for general traffic during this time.

Junctions to be avoided : Citizens are requested to avoid the following junctions as heavy traffic congestion is expected at Hakimpet junction, Lothukunta, Trimulgherry, Karkhana, Secunderabad Club, Tivoli, Plaza, Paradise, Ranigunj, Karbala, Tank Bund, Liberty, Himayathnagar, Narayanaguda, and YMCA.

1. Traffic coming from AOC Centre and intending to proceed to Airtel will be diverted at Laxmi Nagar towards JBS Picket.

6. Traffic coming from Balamrai intending to proceed towards Paradise junction will be diverted at CTO junction towards Begumpet and Panjagutta between 8 a.m and noon reach their destinations.

7. Traffic coming from Upper Tank Bund and Bible House intending to proceed towards Paradise will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.

8. Traffic coming from Ranigunj towards Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and will be diverted at Sailing Club towards Kavadiguda crossroads and DBR Mills.

9. Traffic coming from Telugu Thalli towards Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and will be diverted at Telugu Thalli junction towards BRK Bhavan, Adarshnagar.

10. Traffic coming from Basheerbagh towards Liberty will not be allowed and will be diverted at Basheerbagh junction towards Old MLA Quarters or PCR.

11. Traffic coming from Old MLA Quarters towards Himayathnagar Y junction will not be allowed and will be diverted at Old MLA Quarters towards Cemetery, YMCA.

12. Traffic coming from Crown Cafe towards Himayathnagar Y junction will not be allowed and will be diverted at Crown Cafe towards Bagh Lingampally.

13. Tank Bund will be closed for general traffic and people are advised to use the Telugu Talli flyover/Lower Tank Bund.

RTC buses : Buses plying on Tank Bund are requested to take Begumpet–Panjagutta route (or) Secunderabad–Musheerabad–RTC crossroad and avoid Tank Bund.

27 DECEMBER, BOLLARUM TO ARAMGARH

2 p.m to 5.30 p.m

Traffic congestion is expected between Hakimpet–Trimulgherry– Karkhana–Secunderabad Club–Tivoli–Plaza–CTO–Begumpet flyover–NFCL–Banjara Hills Road no. 1/10 Jn.–Masab Tank–Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital–PVNR Expressway–Araamghar–Katedan– Mailardevpally–Bandlaguda crossroad–Chandrayangutta crossroad–Pisalbanda/ Kanchanbagh.

The general public intending to proceed towards airport/Mehdipatnam Aramghar (NH-44) from IS Sadan–LB Nagar–Sagar Ring Road are requested to take alternative route Manda Mallamma–Balapur or IS Sadan/Saidabad–Nalgonda crossroads.

Junctions to be avoided : Citizens are requested to avoid the following junctions as heavy traffic congestion is expected: Hakimpet Jn., Lothukunta, Trimulgherry, Karkhana, Secunderabad Club, Tivoli, Plaza, PNT flyover, HPS Out Gate, Begumpet flyover, Greenlands junction, Monappa junction, VV Statue Junction (Khairatabad), NFCL, Road No. 1/10 Jn., Banjara Hills Road No. 1/12 Jn., Masab Tank Jn., NMDC, Sarojinidevi Hospital, PVNR Express, Aramghar, Chandrayanagutta crossroad, Pisalabanda/Kanchanbagh.

Diversion points

4. Traffic coming from north zone intending to proceed to Begumpet will be diverted at SBH junction towards RP Road (Bata/Bible House).

5. YMCA flyover will be closed and traffic coming from north zone will be diverted at YMCA junction towards Clock Tower and RP road.

6. Traffic coming from Balamrai intending to proceed towards Paradise junction will be diverted at CTO junction towards Begumpet and Panjagutta between 8 a.m and noon.

7. Traffic coming from Upper Tank Bund and Bible House intending to proceed to Paradise will be diverted at Karbala Maidan towards Bible House.

8. Traffic coming from Attapur/Shamshabad side will be stopped for a while at Aramghar crossroad towards Chandrayangutta/Aramghar.

9. Traffic coming from Old Kurnool road will be stopped for a while at Mailardevpally junction.

10. Traffic coming from IS Sadan/Karmanghat and intending to proceed towards Chandrayangutta will be stopped at DMRL crossroads.

11. Traffic going towards airport from Masab Tank are requested to start early and use road under PVNR expressway or ORR to reach the airport.

RTC buses : TSRTC buses plying from Secunderabad towards Panjagutta, Ameerpet, Mehdipatnam, and Banjara Hills through Begumpet, Panjagutta, and Banjara Hills are requested to avoid the above routes and use Upper Tank Bund.

28 DECEMBER, BOLLARUM TO ALWAL

7 a.m to 9 a.m

Traffic will not be allowed from Hakimpet to Lothukunta. The general public are advised to choose alternate routes by taking ORR from Shameerpet to Medchal and proceed via Kompally–Suchithra–Bowenpally– Tadbund–Lee Royal Palace–CTO.

1. Traffic coming from Trimulgherry crossroads towards Hakimpet will be diverted at Trimulgherry crossroads towards Safe Express, Bowenpally, Suchithra.

2. Traffic coming from Balaji Nagar, Ammuguda, and Nagadevata temple and intending to proceed to Lal Bazar will be diverted at Ambedkar statue, Lal Bazar towards KV junction, RK Puram, AOC Centre, etc.

29 DECEMBER, BOLLARUM TO SHAIKPET

9 a.m to 1 p.m

Traffic congestion is expected at Hakimpet–Lothukunta Y junction–Lal Bazar T junction–Holy Family junction–Trimulgherry crossroads–Karkhana– Secunderabad Club–Tivoli–Plaza–Begumpet– Monappa–Panjagutta–SNT junction–Film Nagar junction (BVB)–Film Nagar–Shaikpet–Oasis School–Tolichowki.

The general public is advised to choose alternate routes by taking ORR from Shameerpet to Medchal and proceeding via Kompally–Suchitra–Bowenpally– Tadbund–Lee Royal Palace–CTO.

Junctions to be avoided : Citizens are requested to avoid the following junctions where heavy traffic congestion is expected: Plaza junction, Ranigunj, PNT flyover, HPS Out Gate, Begumpet flyover, Greenlands junction, Monappa junction, NFCL junction, SNT junction, NTR Bhavan, Jubilee Hills check post, Road No. 45 junction, BVB junction Film Nagar.

Traffic movement will be slow from Rethibowli junction towards Shaikpet Nala, 7 Tombs, Gachibowli under Shaikpet flyover.

1. Traffic coming from AOC Centre and intending to proceed towards Airtel will be diverted at Laxmi Nagar towards JBS Picket.

7. Traffic going towards Cyberabad may use alternative route via Langar House–Golconda Fort–Banjara Darwaza–Alkapuri Colony–Cyber limits to reach their destinations.

8. Traffic coming from Cyberabad towards Shaikpet will be stopped at Raidurgam junction for some time.

9. Traffic coming from Tolichowki towards Raidurgam will be stopped at Shaikpet junction for some time.

29 DECEMBER, SHAMSHABAD TO BOLLARUM

5 p.m to 8 p.m

Traffic congestion is expected at PVNR expressway–NMDC–Masab Tank–Banjara Hills 1/12 Jn.– 1/10 junction–Taj Krishna–GVK–NFCL–Panjaguttta flyover–Greenlands–Begumpet flyover–Prakashnagar flyover–Rasoolpura–CTO flyover–Plaza–Tivoli– Secunderabad Club–Kharkana–Trimulgherry crossroads–Holy Family junction–Lothukunta Y junction.

The general public is advised to choose alternate routes by taking ORR from Shameerpet to Medchal and proceed via Kompally–Suchithra–Bowenpally– Tadbund–Lee Royal Palace–CTO.

Junctions to be avoided : Citizens are requested to avoid following junctions where heavy traffic congestion is expected: PVNR expressway, SD Hospital, NMDC, Masab Tank, Banjara Hills 1/12 junction, NFCL junction, Monappa junction, Greenlands junction, HPS Out Gate, Begumpet flyover, PNT flyover.

7. Traffic coming from airport/Shamshabad on to PVNR express towards Mehdipatnam should proceed from under the PVNR flyover.

RTC buses : TSRTC buses plying from Secunderabad towards Panjagutta, Ameerpet, Mehdipatnam, and Banjara Hills through Begumpet, Punjagutta, and Banjara Hills are requested to avoid the above routes and use Upper Tank Bund.

30 DECEMBER, SOMAJIGUDA TO BOLLARUM

11 a.m to 7 p.m

Traffic congestion is expected between Hakimpet–Trimulgherry– Karkhana–Secunderabad Club–Tivoli–Plaza–Begumpet–Raj Bhavan road–Somajiguda.

The general public is advised to choose alternate route by taking ORR from Shameerpet to Medchal and proceed via Kompally–Suchithra–Bowenpally– Tadbund–Lee Royal Palace–CTO (or) from Shameerpet take BITS, Hyderabad route and proceed to Keesara–Ghatkesar–Uppal/ Nacharam–Tarnaka route.

Passengers are requested to start early to reach the airport, railway station, and bus stands in view of the above traffic diversions on the above dates and timings and use Outer Ring Road to avoid traffic congestion in the city.

Citizens are requested to take alternate routes to reach their destinations and avoid the above-mentioned routes during the specified timings and cooperate with the traffic police during the period of traffic diversion.

HYDERABAD : The Hyderabad traffic police imposed traffic restrictions in view of President Draupadi Murmu 's visit to the city on July 4, 2023. The traffic will either be stopped or diverted due to security concerns from 10am to 6pm on Tuesday.

Traffic diversions from 10am to 10:30am on July 4, 2023

  • The President will land at Hakimpet Air Force Station before travelling to Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bollarum.
  • Hanuman Temple, near Hakimpet Y Junction, Bollarum Check Post, Navy Junction, Yapral Road, Helipad Y Junction, Bison Gate, and Lothukunta will be closed or diverted for a short time.

Due to the movement of VIPs, traffic would be stopped for a short period of time or redirected en route at the following locations/routes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m

  • Trimulgherry
  • Plaza Junction,
  • PNT Flyover
  • HPS Out Gate
  • Begumpet Flyover
  • Greenlands Junction
  • Monappa Junction
  • Jubilee Hills Check Post
  • Road No. 45 Junction.

The Hyderabad traffic police urged the citizens to take note of the above programme and arrange their movements properly during the indicated dates and times, as well as to cooperate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police.

Hyderabad: Traffic Advisory for President's Visit on June-16/17

HYDERABAD: The police would be imposing traffic restrictions in view of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the city on June 16 and 17 for the passing out parade of the Air Force Academy, Dundigal. Restrictions will be in place from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, and 6 am to 8 am on June 17.

Police said moderate congestion and travel delay could be expected in the traffic junctions of CTO, PNT, HPS, Greenlands, Monappa junction, VV statue, Panjagutta and NFCL Junction apart from the Begumpet flyover and Yashoda Hospital road, said Vikram Singh Mann, additional commissioner of police, law and order.

The police directed buses from Secunderabad towards Ameerpet and Mehdipatnam through Begumpet and Raj Bhavan to use alternative routes via Tank Bund from 4 pm hours to 8 pm on Friday, and 6 am to 8 am on June 17.

In case of an emergency, motorists could call the traffic helpline 9010203626, Mann said.

Police said general traffic will not be allowed on the Raj Bhavan road from Monappa junction, VV statue (Khairatabad) and on the Panjagutta-Raj Bhavan quarters road.

Traffic coming from CTO junction and Minister Road will be stopped for a while at Rasoolpura junction; vehicles from Panjagutta/Greenlands junction towards Begumpet airport will be stopped for a while at Prakashnagar T-junction.

Traffic from Kukatpally, Balanagar via Fathenagar bridge towards Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet road, will be diverted at Balkampet Yellamma temple towards Maitrivanam junction via Satyam Theatre.

Hyderabad Traffic Police announced that traffic will be re-routed in several key junctions in the city on Tuesday, December 19, in view of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Hyderabad Public School, (HPS) Begumpet.

Traffic will be diverted or stopped from 11 am to 2 pm to accommodate the president’s visit to the HPS in Begumpet to take part in its centenary celebrations.

Hyderabad Traffic Advisory Issued For PM Modi's Visit on May 7-8: Check Timing, Route Diversions

Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: Traffic restrictions imposed and an advisory was issued in Hyderabad for PM Modi's visit to the city on May 7 and 8. As per he advisory, the movement of vehicles will be restricted, diverted, or rerouted at various routes.

For the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, PM Modi will be addressing public meetings in Vemulawada and Warangal on Wednesday. He will arrive in Hyderabad on Tuesday night and will be staying at the Raj Bhavan before heading for the election campaign the next morning.

Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: Check Timing

The traffic restrictions will be imposed in the city on May 7, 2024, between 7:50 PM and 8:25 PM.

For PM Modi's visit, the additional commissioner of police has issued a traffic advisory for the restrictions that will be in force during his movements on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: Check Restrictions

PM Modi will on Tuesday evening proceed to Raj Bhavan from the Begumpet airport via airport Y junction- under PNT flyover- Shoppers Stop- Hyderabad Public School- Begumpet flyover- Green lands- Rajiv Gandhi statue/Monappa Island Junction- Yashoda Hospital- MMTS.

Then PM Modi on Wednesday will proceed to Begumpet Airport from Raj Bhavan via MMTS- Yashoda Hospital- Rajiv Gandhi statue/Monappa Island Junction- right turn at Praja Bhavan-Begumpet fly over-Hyderabad Public School-Shoppers Stop- Under PNT fly over-left turn at Airport Y junction- Begumpet airport.

The traffic police in the advisory said the citizens are requested to take note of the programmes of the prime minister and plan their movements accordingly and co-operate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police.

Owing to PM Narendra Modi's visit to the city, Hyderabad police imposed traffic restrictions imposed and issued an advisory for the next 2 days. On May 7 and 8, movement restricted, or diverted in different areas.

PM Modi will reach Hyderabad on Tuesday night and he would be staying at the Raj Bhavan for the night. On Wednesday, he will be addressing public meetings in Vemulawada and Warangal for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024

On Tuesday, PM Modi will travel from Begumpet airport via airport to Raj Bhavan via airport Y junction - under PNT flyover- Shoppers Stop- Hyderabad Public School- Begumpet flyover- Green lands- Rajiv Gandhi statue/Monappa Island Junction- Yashoda Hospital- MMTS.

Next day, PM Modi on Wednesday will move to Begumpet Airport from Raj Bhavan via MMTS- Yashoda Hospital- Rajiv Gandhi statue/Monappa Island Junction- right turn at Praja Bhavan-Begumpet fly over-Hyderabad Public School-Shoppers Stop- Under PNT fly over-left turn at Airport Y junction- Begumpet airport.

Accordingly, citizens urged to plan their travel accordingly and and co-operate with the Hyderabad Traffic Police

PM Modi votes in Gujarat

Modi on Tuesday voted at a polling booth in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency in the single-phase voting for 25 seats in Gujarat. Modi reached the polling booth at Nishan Public School in Ranip locality of Ahmedabad city soon after the polling began at 7 am and cast his vote. 

Union minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah, who is contesting to retain the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat, was present when Modi reached the polling booth. Modi greeted people, signed autographs on his way to the polling booth. 

He bowed down to his elder brother Somabhai Modi before entering the polling booth. The PM, who arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday night, cast his vote in the polling booth after getting his finger inked. 

After coming out of the polling booth, Modi waved to the crowd and showed his inked finger. Polling began at 7 am in all the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in Gujarat. Modi is a registered voter from Ranip area. Somabhai Modi lives near Nishan School, which falls under Sabarmati assembly segment of Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.

Hyderabad: Traffic restrictions in view of Vice President’s visit on Friday

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police in view of the visit of Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar, to the city on Friday announced traffic restrictions between 3 pm and 9 pm in different areas.

At 3 pm – The Vice President convoy will proceed to Genome Valley, Turkapally via PNT Flyover, Rasoolpura, CTO, Plaza X Roads, Tivoli X Roads, Secunderabad Club In gate, Karkhana, Trimulgherry X Roads, Lothkunta, Telangana Thalli Statue, Alwal, Ayyappa Swamy Temple, Bollarum check post, Hakimpet Y Junction and Genome Valley where a program is scheduled.

  • Coordination between treasury benches and oppn needed for vibrant democracy: Vice President

At 5 pm – The convoy after the program will proceed to Raj Bhavan via Hakimpet Y Junction, Bollaram check post, Alwal, Lothkunta, Trimulgherry cross roads, Karkhana.

Secunderabad club, Plaza X Roads, PNT Flyover, Begumpet flyover, Greenlands, ITC Kakatiya, Rajiv Gandhi Statue (Monappa Island) left turn, Yashoda Hospital, MMTS, Raj Bhavan. At 7.10 pm.

The Vice President of India will leave Raj Bhavan and proceed to Hitex Exhibition Center, via V V Statue, Eenadu Building, Old KCP, Ansari Manzil, Taj Krishna Junction, Road No. 1/7, Road No. 1/ 4 NFCL Junction SNT Junction, Sagar Society, NTR Bhavan Junction, Jubilee Check Post, Road No. 45 Junction, Road No. 45 Flyover, Cable Bridge and Hitex Exhibition Centre.

At 8 pm – The convoy will proceed to Begumpet from Hitex Exhibition Centre via Cable Bridge, Road No. 45 Junction, Jubilee Hills Check Post, NTR Bhavan, Sagar Society, SNT Junction, NFCL Junction, Punjagutta flyover, Praja Bhavan, Green Lands flyover, Begumpet flyover, HPS, Shyamlal building, Under PNT flyover left turn, Begumpet Airport. The traffic police requested the citizens to take note of the restrictions and plan their journey accordingly.

The Hyderabad city police issued a traffic advisory in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the Bharatiya Janata Party’s public meeting at L B Stadium in Nampally on Friday.

Hyderabad : The Hyderabad city police issued a traffic advisory in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the Bharatiya Janata Party’s public meeting at L B Stadium in Nampally on Friday. The traffic restrictions are to be implemented from 4 pm to 8 pm.

According to police, the traffic will be restricted / diverted or routed from Begumpet Airport to LB Stadium. The Prime Minister will proceed to LB Stadium from Begumpet Airport via Airport Y Junction, Right Turn Under PNT Fly Over, Shoppers Stop, Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet FlyOver, Green lands, left turn, Rajiv Gandhi Statue/Monappa Island Junction, Yashoda Hospital, MMTS, Raj Bhavan, VV statue, Khairtabad Flyover, Necklace Rotary, NTR Marg, Telugu Thalli Junction, Right Turn, Iqbal Minar, Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad Traffic Police Junction, AR Petrol Pump Left Turn, LB Stadium and after completion of public meeting the Prime Minister will return to Begumpet Airport in the same route.

The traffic will be either stopped or diverted on a need basis around LB Stadium. The traffic coming from AR Petrol Pump Jn. towards the BJR Statue will not be allowed and will be diverted at A.R. Petrol Pump towards Nampally. From Basheerbagh towards A.R. Petrol Pump via BJR Statue will not be allowed and will be diverted at BJR Statue towards, SBI Gunfoundry – GPO Abids Circle - Nampally station road.

Junctions to be avoided between 4 pm to 8 pm, including Rasoolpura, PNT Junction, Begumpet Flyover, Hyderabad Public School, Greenlands, Rajiv Gandhi Statue (Monappa Island), Rajbhavan Road, Panjagutta, VV Statue, Khairatabad flyover, Ambedkar Statue, NTR Marg, Telugu Thalli, Iqbal Minar, Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad Traffic Police Junction, Basheerbagh, BJR Statue Circle, SBI Gunfoundry, Abids Circle, A.R. Petrol Pump (Public Gardens), Nampally, KLK Building, Liberty, Himayath Nagar, Assembly, MJ Market and Hyderguda.
