Finding the best build for Robin in Honkai: Star Rail may initially seem daunting, as the support operates differently from most of her colleagues in the same category. Robin is a 5-star Physical character who follows the Path of the Harmony, meaning she specializes in providing buffs for her team comp to operate at a higher power level. She offers this support through traditional means, with offensive buffs that make her entire team more powerful. The new character in Honkai: Star Rail 2.2 is also capable of forwarding the actions of her party, allowing them to strike before the enemy.

With her Skill, Robin boosts the DMG dealt by her allies. Her Ultimate, however, is the star of the show. Robin’s Ultimate immediately advances all of her allies’ actions and increases their ATK by a portion of Robin’s ATK plus an extra amount. Additionally, Robin herself deals Physical DMG equal to part of her ATK, which has a 100% CRIT Rate and 150% CRIT DMG. With the Concerto state activated by her Ultimate, Robin also becomes immune to Crowd Control debuffs in Honkai: Star Rail . Robin’s Talent boosts her allies’ CRIT DMG and, when they target enemies, Robin regenerates Energy.

Light Cone Substitutes Can Also Work Well

In order to start working on Robin’s best build, you will need to look out for some of the best Light Cones for her. As of Version 2.2, the support character does not have an abundant roster of options to choose from, as her stat needs are very specific – in spite of how regular the type of support she provides is. When picking a Light Cone for Robin, you will need one that provides a good amount of ATK , since her main ability scales immensely off that single stat alone and, if possible, Energy Regeneration Rate.

The table below lists the best builds for Robin in Honkai: Star Rail , including the ideal Light Cone, best Relics and Ornaments, stats to farm for, and even her Trace priority:

Indisputably, the best Light Cone for Robin is Flowing Nightglow . The character’s 5-star signature weapon provides her a stack of Cantillation whenever an ally attacks and each stack grants Robin a 3% Energy Regeneration Rate boost, up to 5 stacks. When she uses her Ultimate, all stacks are removed and Robin gains Cadenza, a buff that increases her ATK by 48% and the team’s DMG dealt by 24%.

This is perfect for Robin in Honkai: Star Rail since, with her Ultimate, she deals damage based on her ATK and has all allies attacking immediately after when they can take advantage of the DMG buff. Flowing Nightglow attends to all of Robin’s needs in a single Light Cone , which is exactly what makes it the best-in-slot for her.

If you are intent on giving Robin a 5-star Light Cone, a viable substitute for that is But The Battle Isn’t Over. Bronya’s signature weapon grants the user a 10% Energy Regeneration Bump and it regenerates 1 Skill Point when they use their Ultimate. The next character to take action after the user activates their Skill, this ally will deal 30% more DMG for one turn . Although generic and not tailor-fit for Robin, it is still a viable Light Cone with several great properties for her and her allies in Honkai: Star Rail .

Alternatively, you can give her a 4-star Light Cone, and there are a few options to choose from. The best 4-star for Robin is called For Tomorrow’s Journey , an item added with Version 2.2. In fact, this is a F2P (free-to-play) Light Cone that can be obtained by participating in the Clockie: Dreamjoy Memoir event. When equipped, the user’s ATK is increased by 16% (32% at S5) and when they use their Ultimate, the DMG dealt is increased by 18% (30% at S5) for one turn. This is, essentially, the 4-star version of Flowing Nightglow.

Aside from being a free Light Cone, the Superimposition level of For Tomorrow’s Journey can be raised to its maximum, making it, debatably, even better than the 5-star But The Battle Isn’t Over .

If you missed the chance to get For Tomorrow’s Journey and do not have the recommended 5-stars, you can also use the 4-star Light Cone Carve The Moon, Weave The Clouds. This Battle Pass reward in Honkai: Star Rail has a great effect for a support unit like Robin. When entering battle and when their turn begins, the user can trigger one of three random effects: increasing all allies’ ATK, their CRIT DMG, or their Energy Regeneration Rate.

Despite the randomness factor, all effects are extremely beneficial and, as they rotate throughout longer battles, this is a very good 4-star Light Cone for Robin. Other than those, the character does not have too many other options – luckily, her best 4-star Light Cone is F2P and can be easily acquired.

Provide Robin With The Best Stats & Tool Kit

Like her Light Cones, the Relic options for Robin in Honkai: Star Rail are also fairly limited . There are no specific Relic sets that attend to all of her needs and address exactly how she operates on the field, so the best thing to do is to pick a combination that bolsters her ATK as much as possible, as this is her most important stat.

To do this, it is recommended that you mix two pieces of Musketeer of Wild Wheat with two pieces of Prisoner in Deep Confinement . Each two-piece bonus will give Robin a 12% ATK Bonus, for a total of 24% extra ATK that can be extremely valuable toward the damage she deals with her Ultimate in addition to the ATK boost she provides for allies.

Ornament options are also fairly limited for Robin. The best choice for her is a two-way tie between Space Sealing Station and Sprightly Vonwacq – it will depend on whether or not you achieved a satisfactory amount of ATK and want an Energy Regeneration boost or not. Space Sealing Station boosts ATK by 12% and when the user’s SPD is 120 or higher, the ATK is boosted an additional 12%.

The Sprightly Vonwacq Ornament set in Honkai: Star Rail , on the other hand, grants a 5% Energy Regeneration Rate boost and, when the user’s SPD is 120 or higher, their action is Advanced Forward by 40% at the start of a battle.

Regardless of the chosen Ornament set for Robin, always make sure she has at least 120 SPD , though more is recommended so that she can give allies a buff through her Skill before they act.

When farming Relics and Ornaments, be sure to get as much ATK for Robin as possible . This is her most important stat and what determines whether or not she will be effective as a support unit. Energy Regeneration Rate is also very important since it will allow her to continuously use her Ultimate.

You can build a fast Robin with over 160 SPD , which will allow her to act quickly, before the team’s DPS, but it is not utterly necessary, especially if you are struggling with acquiring a satisfactory level of Energy Regeneration Rate in Honkai: Star Rail .

HP and DEF are good sub-stats that can help Robin stay alive in battles, even though they should not be the priority when building her.

Characters Who Synergize With Robin

Robin fits into the most diverse team comps , but excels in parties with a heavy-hitting main DPS – and can grant a bonus to follow-up attacks, so DPS like Dr. Ratio and Topaz can take advantage of that. Robin also works very well in a hypercarry team with damage output concentrated on a single unit.

If you follow the regular team comp structure with Robin in it, you are sure to succeed. She may not fit some specific debuff team comps, as the one recommended for Acheron’s build in Honkai: Star Rail , for instance, but Robin does work well with most standard parties. Do not worry about getting creative , as long as you have damage dealers to buff with her and a means of staying alive, be that with a healer or a shielder.

Unlock Robin’s Best Abilities First

When leveling up the character, you may have to make hard choices when it comes to what abilities to level up first. The skill priority for Robin is as follows: Ultimate, Talent, Skill, and Basic Attack . The Ultimate is the most valuable part of her kit, while her Talent is what grants a consistent CRIT DMG bonus to allies.

Robin and Boothill are two new characters from Honkai: Star Rail 2.2, but players should consider spending their Stellar Jade on some old characters.

Her Skill is also pretty good, and her Basic Attack is somewhat disposable – not completely, though, as her high ATK stat allows her to significantly contribute to the team comps’ damage. Building Robin in Honkai: Star Rail is not too difficult, even with limited options, but you should make sure to optimize her as much as you can.

With Honkai: Star Rail’s patch 2.2, players have finally been blessed with another version of the Trailblazer. By playing through the story on the planet of festivities, players can unlock the Path of Harmony of the Imaginary element—and players can also unlock all of their Eidolons .

How to unlock all Trailblazer Eidolons in Honkai: Star Rail ?

Just like with Destruction and Preservation Trailblazer, to activate all six Eidolons of the Harmony Path, you’ll need a special five-star material . The material is called Shadow of Harmony , and it’s used to unlock all of the Eidolons. Unfortunately, only five Eidolons are available for now, with the last Eidolon being saved for later versions.

Where to get all Shadow of Harmony for the Imaginary Trailblazer in Honkai: Star Rail

The easiest Shadow of Harmony to get is the first one. You can get it simply by completing “And on the Eighth Day” mission , which is part of the main story quest of Penacony . The other four you can collect as rewards from the Clockie Statue , located in Golden Hour area. The maximum level of the statue is 50, and Eidolons are offered as rewards on levels 40, 45 and 50. To get all the rewards and max out the statue, you need Clock Credits , which you get from exploring Penacony, and by doing Adventure and Trailblaze missions .

How good are Harmony Trailblazer Eidolons in Honkai: Star Rail ?

Eidolons are always considered massive upgrades for characters. They are the cream of the crop of any unit, and our main character is no exception. Just like everyone else, Harmony Trailblazer has six of them and some of them are very useful. While all of his Eidolons are decent, his best ones are E2 and E4, which provide Energy Regeneration and Break Effect buffs. This utility, combined with the path of Harmony, make the Trailblazer a great asset to your account, so be sure to grab those Eidolons quickly.

If you find the Hope Is the Thing With Feathers record in Honkai Star Rail, you can play Robin’s music on the Astral Express using the phonograph device. Unfortunately, this record can only be obtained through a hidden quest on the planet of Penacony which, like all hidden quests, is ridiculously hard to find. In case you’re wondering why other Honkai Star Rail players are after the ‘Hope Is the Thing With Feathers’ item, it’s because it allows you to play a song of the same name on the Astral Express. Hope Is the Thing With Feathers is the latest record from the in-game popstar Robin, whom you’ll meet on Penacony during Honkai Star Rail’s main quest.

Hope Is the Thing With Feathers is part of Robin’s ‘Inside’ album, which was released in Honkai: Star Rail version 2.2 on May 8. The album features another new song, called ‘Sway to My Beat in Cosmos’, and a previously released song called ‘If I Can Stop One Heart from Breaking’. You can find Hope Is the Thing With Feathers and Sway to My Beat in Cosmos in the same hidden location. 

Hope Is the Thing With Feathers location

To receive Robin’s latest records, Hope Is the Thing With Feathers and Sway to My Beat in Cosmos, you must find a hidden quest on the Penacony Dreamscape map called ‘Golden Hour’. If you don’t have access to Golden Hour yet, you must follow the Trailblaze Missions (main quests) until you start The Sound and the Fury. This quest will take you to the Golden Hour. 

On the Golden Hour map, look for the location shown in the picture above. It’s on the outside staircase in the northeastern part of the map, next to the map area with the vehicles. Beware that this staircase doesn’t appear on your map unless you’re standing there, which makes it a little bit harder to find. 

After climbing the first set of stairs, you’ll see a woman with a golden head, who goes by the name of Lonely Intellitron, and a child, who goes by the name of Vexed Pepeshi. Listen in on their conversation to trigger a dialogue scene and begin the hidden quest. After a while, a “mysterious dreamchaser” will join in and offer Robin’s latest record at a much higher price. 

How to obtain Hope Is the Thing With Feathers in Honkai Star Rail

You have two options to getting Hope Is the Thing With Feathers in Honkai Star Rail: either threaten to report the mysterious dreamchaser to a member of the Bloodhound Family or ask for a deal. If you don’t want to pay this scoundrel any money, choose the first option and speak with the Bloodhound Family Member standing nearby. You can recognize him by his suit, blond hair, and glasses, as shown in the picture above.

Exhaust the dialogue with the Bloodhound Family member, then approach Vexed Pepeshi again and choose “listen”. You can pick any dialogue option you like during this conversation - it won’t affect the quest outcome. Once the conversation is finished, the hidden quest is complete and you’ll obtain the Honkai: Star Rail ‘Hope Is the Thing With Feathers’ and ‘Sway to My Beat in Cosmos’ records. 

How to play Hope Is the Thing With Feathers in Honkai Star Rail

Once you’ve found the Hope Is the Thing With Feathers the record as described above, return to the Astral Express and enter the Parlor Car (same room as Pom-Pom). In the northeastern corner, next to the door leading to the Passenger Cabin, you’ll see an old-fashioned phonograph. Interact with this phonograph, and choose ‘The Flapper Sinthome’ song collection. Scroll through the song list on the right until you see Hope Is the Thing With Feathers - select it and choose “set coach music”. The song will now start playing whenever you enter the Astra Express. Of course, you can do the same with the other record you’ve found, ‘Sway to My Beat in Cosmos’.

Boothill’s kit is very Break Effect damage focused, and alongside Ruan Mei, he can destroy any elite enemy in the game with his best build. His kit also allows him to apply Physical weakness on enemies, making him a good pick against all types of enemies. Here is everything we know about his kit and how to optimally play Boothill’s best build in Honkai Star Rail.

• Skullcrush Spurs (Basic Attack): Deals Physical damage equal to 100% of Boothill’s attack to a single enemy.
• Fanning the Hammer (Enhanced Basic Attack): Deals Physical damage equal to 220% of Boothill’s Attack to a single enemy. Cannot recover Skill Point and can only target the enemy in Standoff.
• Sizzlin’ Tango (Skill): Forces targeted enemy and Boothill in a Standoff state for 2 turns, the duration reducing at the start of Boothill’s every turn. Boothill’s Basic attack changes to the Enhanced Basic Attack in this state and the enemy target in the Standoff becomes Taunted. When the targeted enemy/Boothill gets attacked by other parties during the Standoff, the damage they receive increases by 30%/15%. If you choose to build a cage for the little Charmony Dove , Sunday will explain that the bird gets nursed back to health and eventually released so it can try to fly. It never succeeds in taking off, though, and it ultimately ends up dead. If you choose to build a bird nest on the spot , Sunday will remind you of the many natural predators that prey on Charmony Doves. The bird will die a painful death before it can fully heal.

Remain Silent or Convince the Bloodhounds?

For the second scenario, Sunday recalls the time he met a desperate Dreamseeker who sold everything — including his two children — to reach Penacony in the hopes of becoming rich. The Bloodhounds are after him for his illegal entry, but he really needs to stay in Penacony so he can make enough money to buy his children out of slavery.

If you choose to remain silent and enforce the law , Sunday will explain that there’s no happy ending in store for the man. If he evades capture, he’ll die from delirium since stowaways can’t enter Penacony’s Dreamscape . If he gets caught, he’ll suffer a severe punishment.

On the other hand, choosing to convince the Bloodhounds to cease pursuit doesn’t lead to a happy ending, either. He becomes successful after all but gets exiled from Penacony after trying to take over the Alfalfa Family. When Sunday meets him and asks about his two children, he simply replies “What children?”

Stop Robin from Going on Her Journey?

Finally, Sunday asks you what you would do with Robin after learning that she took a bullet to the neck while spreading the Harmony throughout the stars. You can either stop Robin from going on her journey or support her . Since this is still up in the air and Robin is out and about, Sunday doesn’t have any outcomes to describe. He can understand both perspectives though, so there isn’t a wrong answer here.

Remember, these choices don’t affect the story of Honkai Star Rail. All that changes is Sunday’s reactions depending on your decisions.
