Plus, where you can buy tickets!
This time, he’s delivering a curation of mind-blowing performances and conversations in the new film The Journey: A Music Special from Andrea Bocelli , which is set to premiere starting April 2, Palm Sunday, through Easter Sunday on April 9.

It’s been nearly three years since the legendary singer graced his fans and the world with a 25-minute live performance on Easter Sunday , and now another performance will be available in theaters for a limited time, from Palm Sunday through Easter. Supporters can decide whether they would like to purchase individual or group tickets (which are for parties of 25 or more) by following the link on the film’s website.

The Journey allows us to get to the root cause of our limitations and the shut downs that prevent us from living life to the full – and that can even make us ill. It allows us to let go of the past and the emotional blocks that hold us back. As a result we experience healing and transformation at a cellular level. At The Journey Intensive seminar you’ll use the same tools Brandon developed from own direct experience of healing from a tumor and setting herself free.

Kevin’s main focus is bringing the power of this paradigm shifting and transformative work to individuals who recognise that they are not living to their highest and deepest potential. He is continually developing new work and is currently writing a book on freedom from depression.
Kevin also presents Healing with Conscious Communication and The Enneagram Masterclass and co-presents with Brandon The Journey’s most powerful course, Freedom from the Ego retreat.
He is loved for his disarming sense of humor, his warmth and down-to-earth straightforwardness. His willingness to expose the unguarded truth in himself relaxes people and allows them to personally explore the blocks and veils that have limited them, open into the deepest experience of their own potential and apply it in all areas of life – career, finances, relationship, home, recreation, sport and creativity. Some of his groundbreaking work is included in ‘Consciousness The New Currency,’ a book addressing our blocks to real abundance, which Kevin co-authored with Brandon Bays.
Kevin’s greatest love is facilitating the deepest realization of our human potential.

Shy Janitor Richard Goodall Crying After Getting Heidi's Golden Buzzer Is So Emotional
Richard Goodall had never been on a plane before, but that didn't stop him from chasing his dreams on AGT Season 19.
America’s Got Talent is a place for people with immense talent, but with sometimes limited access to a grand stage to showcase it. Perhaps no one embodied that more than Season 19 premiere superstar, Richard Goodall.
How to Watch
Watch America’s Got Talent Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock .
The humble janitor from Terre Haute, Indiana closed out the premiere episode by kicking the already high talent bar up another notch with a vocal performance you simply had to hear to believe. In fact, it was so good it earned one of the coveted Golden Buzzers from a Judge who was just as moved by his song as everyone in the crowd.
How Richard Goodall made it to AGT
Before he took the stage, Goodall noted he grew up loving music and listening to it endlessly as a kid. When he got older, he needed money so he took a job as a janitor at a middle school just three blocks from where he lived. To pass the long hours, he would often belt out some jams in the hallways, much to the delight of the students.

Eventually, he believed them when they told him he had talent, which prompted Goodall to get on a plane for the first time in his life and audition for AGT 19 — and it's a good thing he did!
What song did Richard Goodall sing for his AGT audition?
When he took the stage to answer some of Simon Cowell’s preliminary questions, it was clear to anyone watching that Goodall was shy and a little nervous to perform in what was doubtlessly his biggest crowd ever.
However, all nerves seemingly fell away when he hit the first note of Journey’s 1981 classic “Don’t Stop Believin’.” The Judges and the audience were shocked to hear this quiet janitor suddenly hit the song’s notes with the talent of a seasoned professional singer. It didn’t take long before the crowd was on its feet, with some even being moved to tears.
Heidi Klum awards Richard Goodall her first Golden Buzzer of the season
Perhaps Cowell said it best (and most matter-of-factly) when he told Goodall he was his hero.
“That was special, genuinely special,” he added. “I think America is going to love you.”
Sofia Vergara agreed, saying: “I mean that was spectacular, that was fun. This was an amazing surprise. I think you are perfect to come to AGT because you made our night.”
Howie Mandel told the singer he “cleaned up” and called him “amazing” before speculating that all his students watching at home were probably screaming for him.
However, it was Heidi Klum who gave the highest praise in the form of one of her two Golden Buzzers of the season.

“Richard, Richard, Richard, you knocked me off my feet,” she said. “I mean we all had the best time with you up on that stage. I really feel something with you up there and I hear you up there… and now, this is what I’m going to do for you, because I love you.”
With that, she pressed her Golden Buzzer and instantly moved Richard to tears.
“I’ve never even been on plane,” he said as golden confetti rained down on him. “This was not on my radar to come to California, this was a dream come true.”
After coming up on stage to hug him, Klum accompanied Goodall backstage where he called his fiancée to tell her the good news. While she was clearly proud of him, it was clear she wasn’t surprised his smooth voice earned him a Golden Buzzer.

Indiana Janitor Delivers Mind-Blowing Cover of Journey Classic “Don’t Stop Believin'” on ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 19 Premiere
by Tina Benitez-Eves May 28, 2024, 9:48 pm
Richard Goodall didn’t know what to expect going into season 19 of America’s Got Talent on Tuesday, May 28 but after delivering a powerhouse performance of Journey ‘s 1981 classic “ Don’t Stop Believin ‘” he ended up with the Golden Buzzer. Before his performance, the 55-year-old Terre Haute, Indiana native told the judges that he’s worked as a janitor for 23 years and that the kids at the middle school where he works know him as “Mr. Richard.” Visibly nervous and sweating, Goodall said that he loved to sing and that it was his dream to get on stage and perform. “I was that kid up in my bedroom with the Radio Shack stereo,” said Goodall in his pre-audition interview. “My favorite thing was just to sit up and listen to my music, and I just belt it out. Eventually, I was like ‘I gotta find me a job,’ so I became a janitor at Chauncey Rose Middle School, which is only three blocks away from my house.” He added, “I’m not a fancy person. I take out the trash. I wipe off the tables, I sweep the floors. I’m just having fun and I’m trying to make people happy. The kids would hear me sing and they tell me that I’ve got talent. That’s why I’m here, that’s why I got on a plane.”
Videos by American Songwriter
Goodall also described how it felt to leave his home state for the first time. “When I took off from Indianapolis, I felt that front wheel come off the ground and you have this floating [feeling], you’re no longer stable,” shared Goodall. “And that’s what this whole experience is like right now. It’s a good off-balance but until you actually do something, you don’t know if it’s right for you or not.” Cowell and the judges picked up on Goodall’s nervousness before his performance and quietly rooted for him. When the first notes of Journey’s iconic hit started, the judges and audience were visibly surprised by the song choice, and Goodall’s vocal range as he started belting out the song, echoing the near-exact sound, pitch, and range of ex-Journey frontman Steve Perry ‘s vocals. In 2022, Goodall received a shout-out from Perry after a TikTok video of him singing the song hit three million views.

At the end of his performance, Goodall received a standing ovation from the audience and judges. “Richard, you are my hero, because that was special,” said judge Simon Cowell. “I think America is gonna love you.” Sofia Vergara added, “That was spectacular. That was fun. This was an amazing surprise. I think you were perfect to come to ‘AGT,’ because you made our night,” while Howie Mandell joked “Maybe it’s because you’ve been doing it for 23 years but you just cleaned up. I would imagine every kid that has ever been in a school with you is just screaming. I just think you’re amazing.” When it was time for Heidi Klum to talk, she said “Richard, Richard, Richard, you knocked me off my feet. We all had the best time with you up there on that stage. I really feel something when I see you up there and I hear you up there.”
Standing up, Klum said, “And now this is what I’m going to do for you because I love you” before pressing the Golden Buzzer. In tears, Goodall said “I’ve never even been on a plane. This was not on my radar to come to California. It’s just a dream come true.” The Golden Buzzer secures Goodall’s spot in the season 19 finale. “Golden Buzzer [winners] are an elite group of people,” added Goodall in a post- AGT interview. “I never in a million years expected to be in that class. And I still can’t believe Heidi did that.”

Artist Profile: Morgan Parker on ‘You Get What You Pay For’ and the Journey Towards Interconnected Identity
Poet, essayist, and novelist Morgan Parker’s collection of essays, “You Get What You Pay For,” dives deep into the personal. The collection sparks reflection and inquiry about the ways our identities interact with each other and broader society. In this collection, Parker reveals the details of such a journey and how she was able to illuminate aspects of her own identity.
Parker's essays present an autobiographical picture of her religious, social, and racial identity. They are deeply intertwined, informing and determining one another. The memoir rejects linearity both thematically and in timeline, as each essay flashes forward and backward to describe a healing process that is messy and tumultuous.
“I wanted something that could be interpreted in a few different ways depending on how you're looking at it. It felt important for me to use the language of economics and money and you know, who was paid what for what? Who's being compensated, what you're getting out of your money, things like that,” Parker said in an interview with The Harvard Crimson when asked about the meaning of the book’s catchy title.
Parker specifically reflected on the importance of returning to past experiences; “I've written a lot about my depression and a lot of other trauma that I've experienced. And I think sometimes, when I'm talking about my books, there's an assumption from audiences that it's like, oh, I'm over it because I talked about it, and it happened. And so, therefore, it's all done now.”
Sharing about the topic of past experiences and the process of healing, Parker cautions against adopting a limited view of what healing can be.
“It's just important for me to remind myself that when I don't feel like I'm moving forward, it doesn't mean I'm going backward and it doesn't mean that I'm not moving at all,” Parker continued. “And that it's okay sometimes to go backward in order to go forward or it's okay to find yourself back in the same place as you were before.”
Parker does not skim over the role of therapy in her journey and speaks to how writing has also served a crucial role in both seeking help and healing.
“It has been the space where I can be honest about how I'm feeling. It was the first place for that. Then there's therapy, but the first place that I learned to be honest about my feelings was in a journal,” Parker said.
Parker also weaves in critical examinations of politics, culture and social theory — all of which she argues informs one’s identity. “It's really for me about utilizing everything that's out there and available, and especially as a writer, it's about utilizing different languages and different vocabularies,” Parker said.
“It's really about having different pairs of glasses,” said Parker, when speaking about the importance of including different lenses such as anthropology and comedy to use toward self-discovery.
Ultimately it is no surprise that Parker’s approach leans towards the cultural or anthropological — her essays speak of a personal growth that relies on community and self-discovery that is informed by a diverse understanding of identity. It is a journey, she argues, that cannot be separated from the humanity of others.
When asked what Parker hopes readers will take away from the book, she explained her hope for an increased curiosity among her audience.
“I would just hope that readers come away from it with a little bit more curiosity about other people, and maybe they feel more compelled to just pay attention to other people,” Parker said. “I think for me, it’s just like, we can maybe look out for each other a little bit better.”
For a memoir that so vulnerably and reflectively begins the task of examining the self, “You Get What You Pay For” reminds all of us about the importance of an empathetic approach.

We are living in a kind of golden age for online fraudsters. As the number of apps and services for storing and sending money has exploded – so too have the schemes that bad actors have cooked up to steal that money. Every year, we hear more and more stories of financial heartbreak. What you don't often hear about is what happens after the scam?
On today's show, we follow one woman who was scammed out of over $800,000 on her quest to get her money back. That journey takes her from the halls of the FBI to the fraud departments of some of the country's biggest financial institutions. And it offers a window into how the systems that are theoretically designed to help the victims of financial cybercrime actually work in practice.
This episode was hosted by Alexi Horowitz-Ghazi and Jeff Guo. It was produced by Willa Rubin and edited by Keith Romer. It was engineered by Neal Rauch and fact-checked by Sierra Juarez. Alex Goldmark is Planet Money 's executive producer.

Connecting communities to care: the pitt vaccine hub's journey of innovation and service.
In the heart of Pitt’s campus, situated conveniently in Nordenberg Hall, across from Starbucks and accessible via public transportation, lies a beacon of community health and wellness — the Pitt Vaccination and Health Connection Hub (Hub). What began as a response to the urgent needs of a pandemic has evolved into a comprehensive health care destination, thanks to the tireless efforts of dedicated health professionals and the seamless integration of technology.
“As the crisis of the pandemic began to ease, we realized that we could play an important role in community health on an ongoing basis,” says Melissa McGivney, executive director of the Hub at 4041 Fifth Avenue. “We quickly realized that the Hub provides an access point to health care for many people at Pitt and in the surrounding communities who are under-vaccinated in general and who may not be receiving much preventive care at all.”
Collaborative Innovation
McGivney reached out to Pitt Information Technology’s Chad Burton, executive director of Transformation and Analytics, and Jamie Craig, associate director of Enterprise Applications, who helped get the Hub up and running in Jan./Feb. 2021. The initial COVID-19 vaccination system was a bare-bones, custom-built web application that took advantage of the University’s existing Microsoft infrastructure. But as the Hub sought to offer additional services, it was clearly insufficient.
As Craig explained, “While our first CoVax solution was effective, it did not feature the functionality needed to expand beyond the initial COVID regimen. Microsoft anticipated that they would not be able to provide the features needed to support booster shots until late October 2021, and the projected costs exceeded the available funding.”
This did not match with the Hub’s schedule or budget. So, the Hub and Pitt IT decided to build their own vaccination management system! Enter Sandy Waterbec, manager of Enterprise CRM, who worked with Kate Brownlee, director of operations at the Hub, and Sophia Herbert, PharmD, a leader in community pharmacy initiatives, to build an MVP solution, or minimum viable product. “We developed a system that could handle the initial COVID vaccines, boosters, flu shots, and then pneumonia vaccines very quickly,” Waterbec notes.
The partnership with Pitt IT has been crucial to enabling the Hub’s rapid growth. The IT team applied an agile approach to develop a unified system that includes a sophisticated online scheduling portal; the utilization of mobile devices for scanning QR codes to welcome registered patients, record vaccines, and other health information; and sending patients HIPAA-compliant email.
Automating State Reporting Requirements
Pitt’s integration with the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s new Pennsylvania Immunization Electronic Registry Service (PIERS) database system enabled automated uploading of vaccine records. This initiative positioned the University as a leader in helping providers interface with PIERS, streamlining a process that was confounding many.
Brownlee knows this couldn’t have happened without the close collaboration between the health and technology experts. The key was taking the time to understand everyone’s needs. Pitt IT hired Evan Johnson to the Enterprise CRM team as a Salesforce developer. With a strong background in pharmacy management systems, he now leads the team supporting the system. McGivney, Brownlee, and Herbert took the lead from a clinical perspective. Together, the IT team gained an in-depth knowledge of what the Hub does, while the Hub participated fully in the development and testing phases.
“It wasn’t our job to understand the tech, but it was our responsibility to not be intimidated by it,” Brownlee explains. “We worked with Pitt IT to explain what we needed to do and provide clear and constructive feedback on the solutions they were developing.”
Craig agrees. “It speaks to the talent of the entire team that we could so quickly understand and translate the clinical needs into a workable technical solution. It required a tremendous amount of creativity and problem-solving.”
A Regional Nexus for Supporting International Travel
The Hub's commitment to care extends beyond vaccines. With a keen focus on patient-centeredness and holistic care, the team goes the extra mile to connect individuals with other essential services, such as health and wellness screenings and helping patients to identify primary care providers. At the same time, teaching and learning are part and parcel of the health services offered at the Hub. It is a hands-on learning for students in a wide range of health disciplines — from nursing and pharmacy to medicine and public health. With faculty and staff oversight, students assist patients in filling out forms, administering injections, taking vitals, and providing patient education.
A Teaching and Learning Center
As the Pitt Vaccination and Health Connection Hub continues to evolve and expand its services, the synergy between dedicated health care professionals and forward-thinking technologists remains the driving force behind its success. With a shared vision of connecting communities to care, the Hub stands as a testament to the power of innovation, compassion, and collaboration in shaping a healthier future for all.
If you require a vaccine or are traveling internationally to a destination that requires specialized vaccinations, let the Hub help you. Go to healthhub.pitt.edu to learn more about the services they offer and to make an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome subject to availability. The Pitt Vaccination and Health Connection Hub proudly serves members of the Pittsburgh public and surrounding communities.
