Train Concert Setlist Info

The song list for a Train show has only gotten harder to map out as the band continues to explore every corner of their catalog and more. On their 2022 AM Gold Tour, Train began putting a new spin on many of their biggest hits, blending covers of Steve Miller Band ’s “The Joker” with “Meet Virginia,” The Beatles’ “Hey Jude” with “Drive By” and Redbone’s “Come and Get Your Love” with “Hey, Soul Sister.”

However, no matter how unpredictable the journey of a Train live show becomes, all roads still lead to the same, satisfying conclusion: “Drops of Jupiter.”

Below, find a typical Train setlist from 2023’s Definitely Not a Tour, and check back after the Summer Road Trip 2024 begins in July to see updated setlist information.

Train’s 2023 Definitely Not a Tour Setlist:

  • Meet Virginia
  • The Joker ( Steve Miller Band cover)
  • If It’s Love
  • American Girl (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers cover)
  • Save Me, San Francisco
  • Angel in Blue Jeans
  • Play That Song
  • Mississippi
  • Calling All Angels
  • Faithfully ( Journey cover)
  • 50 Ways to Say Goodbye
  • Hey, Soul Sister
  • Come and Get Your Love (Redbone cover)
  • Hey Jude (The Beatles cover)

Pat Monahan, Train

As the world gradually returns to normal, San Francisco rockers Train are getting back on track in 2022 with a new album and tour. AM Gold , the band’s 11th studio album and first in five years, is set to drop May 20 via Columbia Records — and the energetic, lush title track is available now. Not long after AM Gold drops, Pat Monahan and Co. will hit the road for an extensive summer tour featuring special guests Jewel and Blues Traveler.

See latest videos, charts and news

“Writing songs for two and a half years in front of video screens instead of being in the presence of other humans has been a long, strange trip. And now here we are,” frontman Monahan says. “It has to start with love. Love that goes into work comes out of work. We love this song, this album, and our fans. Thank you for waiting so long for us.”

Train's 'Drops of Jupiter' at 20: Pat Monahan Shares Surprising Stories Behind the Smash

As for the tour, tickets go on sale Friday (Feb. 25) at 10 a.m. local times. As you can see in the video below, Masked Singer judge Ken Jeong is already freaking out about it.

Trending on Billboard

Although Train hasn’t released an album since 2017’s A Girl, A Bottle, A Boat, which reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200, the pandemic wasn’t entirely quiet for Pat Monahan. His Taylor Swift co-write “Babe,” originally turned into a top 10 Hot Country Songs hit by Sugarland, found its way onto Taylor Swift’s Billboard 200-topping album Red (Taylor’s Version) last year, marking the first official release of their songwriting collab with Swift singing lead. Additionally, 2021 saw Train celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band’s Grammy-winning radio smash “Drops of Jupiter,” with Monahan telling Billboard he didn’t expect it to hit as big as it did: “At the time I thought, ‘There’s no way people are going to like this song, it’s just too long.'” Clearly, sometimes it’s good to be wrong about your own songs.

Below, check out Train’s 2022 tour dates, featuring special guests Jewel and Blues Traveler with openers Thunderstorm Artis and Will Anderson.

This is the hands down best band! Not only do they have a amazing music, but the lead has the other members sing different songs as well! That is a great secure band lead! He always includes the fans in concert and it is very deliberate you can tell its not staged. I will always follow them and their amazing concert Venus. Thanks Train you are officially my favorite band. If you knew my obsession with music..that's saying a lot!

Pat and the boys at a nice small venue, support was adequate and appropriate for the band

Train played All their best from the back catalogue plus a selection from the tour titled album

Saving the top tune for the encore

A great mix of old and new with Pat interactive with the mixed audience...

Extremely warm especially once everyone started bopping and singing although some breeze eventually started to drift through

Drinks prices were extortionate and the empty plastic glasses caused more issues once discarded on the floor ...concession and security were efficient and friendly ... Park next door .., pre book and save a few quid

Twenty minute walk to the quod along the canal for some pre concert food

Saw OAR, James Bay and Train this past Wednesday at the Hammerstein Ballroom. During the beginning of James Bay's set that there were not enough speakers to fully fill the space, but they figured out how to fix that audio by the end of the show. James Bay - Let it Go brought chills. He is so so great live - and even more talented of a live performer than he is a recorded artist. Extremely talented guitar player, and integrated rock with his adaption of Creedence Clearwater Revival's 'Proud Mary.' The night ended with Train - they were... AMAZING. Patrick Monahan has such a stage presence and was nothing but smiles the entire night. The set list was so on point, and even included an appearance from Matt Nathanson. They finished with Hey Soul Sista and Drops of Jupiter.

justin timberlake forget tomorrow world tour review 2024

Who says the pop star is dead? At his triumphant tour stop in Los Angeles Saturday night, Justin Timberlake led a revival for the reigning Prince of Pop, with a setlist of greatest hits and new material that proves the Grammy-winning entertainer is here to stay.

Related Stories

Justin timberlake unveils tracklist for new album, includes another new nsync song, justin timberlake says he apologizes to "absolutely f***ing nobody" at concert.

Dressed in a glittery black suit and trousers, the singer opened with “No Angels,” a disco-lite cut off EITIW that immediately had the crowd on its feet. Backed by a trio of background singers and a full band (including a four-piece horn section), Timberlake and his “ Tennessee Kids ” followed with a tight triple whammy of “LoveStoned,” “Like I Love You” and “My Love” before slowing things down with “Technicolor,” a seductive slow jam that finds the singer worshipping his “modern day” Marilyn Monroe.

Timberlake has made headlines over the last few months for his off-the-cuff comments , but on Saturday, the singer let his music do most of the talking, while showing off some slick choreography that proved he — literally — hasn’t missed a step. Playful, self-assured and just a tad rambunctious, Timberlake was at his best on crowd-pleasers like “FutureSex/LoveSound” and “Summer Love,” the latter of which gave the star a chance to bust out some rump-shaking moves during a mid-song dance break.

Fans immediately leaped back to their feet when the familiar piano opening of “Cry Me a River” began to play. “That got your ass up!” Timberlake quipped about his controversial track , which came surprisingly early on in the night.

Timberlake didn’t say much else during the concert, though he did note that it was “a special night,” with many of his friends and family in the L.A. audience. Wife Jessica Biel wasn’t seen in the crowd, but an acoustic medley of ballads performed on a side stage included Timberlake’s recent single, “Selfish,” which the singer wrote about his longtime partner.

Indeed, Timberlake has been entertaining fans for a long time, too. “I feel like we’ve grown up together,” the singer said at one point of the night, shouting out “a little group called NSYNC” for giving him his start in the music industry (while NSYNC reunited for a one-off Timberlake show at The Wiltern in March, there was no reunion, alas, on Saturday).

“I’ve grown up with you and you’ve grown up with me,” the singer said. “I’m never going to forget it and I have so much gratitude for each and every one of you here tonight.”

Set List: Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour

Technically, 2024 is Megan Thee Stallion’s fifth hot girl summer in a row: The reigning queen of Houston hip-hop landed her first blockbuster hit with the song “Hot Girl Summer” in 2019. What started as a sticky catchphrase is now a full-fledged movement that represents, essentially, living your best life. There could be no more fitting title for the Grammy winner’s first-ever headlining tour, which arrives in advance of her as-yet-untitled third album. The 35-show tour kicked off in Minneapolis in mid-May and makes pit stops at most major US cities, as well as a few festivals, before venturing to Europe in July. Supporting the majority of the North American dates is Memphis rap phenom GloRilla, who recently enlisted Megan for a verse on the cocky duet “Wanna Be.” Explore the full set list here and put yourself in the crowd.

Rod Stewart is back in Ireland this weekend for a concert at Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin that promises to be a night filled with hit after hit, all delivered in the Scottish troubadour’s unmissable style.

The 79-year-old, who is a regular visitor these shores, has been lauded as one of the finest singers of his generation, selling an estimated 250 million records and singles worldwide. His most recent album is Swing Fever, a collaboration with Jools Holland .

Stewart has garnered the music industry’s highest awards over the years, including being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – twice (once as a solo artist and once with 1970s group The Faces). He also managed to make it on to the New York Times bestseller list with his 2012 autobiography Rod. In 2016, he officially became Sir Rod Stewart, after being knighted for his services to music and charity.

If you are heading to Kilmainham this weekend, here is everything you need to know in advance.

Rod Stewart plays on the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin 8, on Sunday, May 26th.

Are tickets still available?

Tickets are still available on Ticketmaster . The promoters warn about buying tickets from unofficial sources, as Ticketmaster is the official and only legitimate ticket seller for this event. Remember to download your tickets from your Ticketmaster account to your iPhone wallet/Google Pay wallet in advance of show day. Screenshots or printouts of digital tickets will not be accepted, and do not wait until you arrive at the venue to download your ticket as network coverage may not be available.

What time should I arrive?

Gates open at 5pm and last entry is 9.30pm, with the show scheduled to finish at about 10.30pm.

Who are the support acts?

The Trinity Orchestra are scheduled to play before Stewart. They are said to have blown audiences away with sets at Forbidden Fruit , All Together Now and Electric Picnic .

How do I get there and home again?

It is worth noting that there is no parking at the venue and traffic restrictions will be in place on Military Road and Kilmainham Lane. The nearest public car park is Park Rite at 7 Queen Street, Dublin 7. Kilmainham is a residential area and all concert goers are asked to respect the local community – do not park illegally or in residential areas. There are a few options to get to the gig via public transport:

By Luas: Take the red line from The Point towards Saggart or Tallaght – or the other way around – and exit at Heuston Station which is a five-minute walk to the east gate entrance via Military Road.

By Bus: Buses 20, 123 and 13 stop at St James’s Hospital; buses 79 and 79A stop at Saint John’s Road West; and the 25A stops at Heuston Station.

Fans must enter the concert grounds through the east gate on Military Road. There will be signage to direct people closer to the site.

No large bags will be permitted, bags A4 size and smaller will be subject to security checks on entry, and those with no bags will be fast-tracked into the arena.

Items not permitted to be brought into the venue include (but are not exclusive to): glass or cans, alcohol, folding chairs, garden furniture, selfie sticks, megaphones, high vis clothing and flares.

Also, keep in mind that the Royal Hospital is a cashless venue.

Can I take photographs at the concert?

Unauthorised professional photography or use of professional photography/recording equipment is prohibited and zoom lenses, audio visual or cinematic devices will not be permitted on site.

Taylor Swift’s expected Eras Tour setlist for UK as Paris gig reveals huge changes

Taylor Swift performs new setlist with TTPD at The Eras Tour in Paris

The Lover house is burned down, Speak Now is fighting for her life, and we’re all afraid of little old Taylor Swift as she overhauls her Eras Tour setlist.

As the 34-year-old superstar kicked off the European leg of her tour in Paris, fans gathered around livestreams and X to discover what she had in store.

Paris night one didn’t disappoint and ticket chaos was forgiven as the Tortured Poets Department took centre stage and the entire Eras Tour was changed, from bodysuits to choreography.

Fans had already speculated there might be a switch up after she released the Eras Tour film before her tour had finished but this was more than our wildest dreams.

It’s no surprise that Taylor has added in the new album but at already three and a half hours long , some songs were left on the cutting room floor.

The Archer, tis the damn season, and even the last great American dynasty were all brutally ripped from the setlist.

New glittering bodysuits and dresses were rolled out for every era except Reputation, which is the last in the album in the show to get it’s Taylor’s Version.

So far no vault track appears on her main setlist, only core album songs have a permanent place on the Eras Tour.

Swifties have been left in utter disbelief as Folklore and Evermore were combined into one era, known as the sisters era, to keep time down.

Speak Now was reduced back down to one song — RIP Long Live — and debut remains reserved for surprise songs in the acoustic set.

Taylor Swift performs new setlist without the Archer at The Eras Tour in Paris

Let’s be honest Taylor could perform for six hours and fans would still want more but even she would probably find that exhausting.

It’s been a whirlwind 24hours for Swifties so lets see what the setlist has been left looking like and what that means for the UK.

We’re still going strong opening with Lover but even her seventh studio album and big opener couldn’t survive Taylor’s great setlist war. We’ll miss you, The Archer.

  • Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince
  • Cruel Summer
  • You Need To Calm Down

Fearless Era

The album that made her a superstar remains unscathed but since there were only three songs for this era it’s hardly surprising.

However, a new tasseled bodysuit was revealed and it looks incredibly similar to one worn on the Our Song hitmaker’s original Fearless tour in 2009.

  • You Belong With Me

I’m never recovering from this pic.twitter.com/rNTY9smbVH — B R I T T A N Y 🤍 (@sobrittgoes) May 9, 2024

In a position switch up, the setlist now moved from Fearless into Red instead of evermore but the songs remain unchanged and All Too Well remains firmly in pride of place.

  • We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
  • I Knew You Were Trouble
  • All Too Well (10 Minute Version)

Speak Now Era

Justice for Speak Now, already balding but now scalped as Long Live has been once more removed.

We’re begging Taylor, I will sacrifice I Knew You Were Trouble for just one more purple painted dream.

Reputation Era

Yet to have it’s Taylor’s Version released, Reputation remains unchanged on the mammoth set but has been moved to after Red and Speak Now rather than before.

It’s also the only section that has not had an outfit change, the day that red and black bodysuit goes we’re all going to lose our minds.

  • …Ready For It?
  • Don’t Blame Me
  • Look What You Made Me Do

Folklore/Evermore Era

Once separate totalling 12 songs, Taylor’s lockdown albums have been combined into one – with a lot of casualties.

‘We have reunited the sister albums,’ the singer told the Paris crowd, joking it could be called ‘everlore’ or ‘folkmore’.

Removed from the setlist are: Tis the damn season, the last great american dynasty, invisible string, and tolerate it.

  • Cardigan (folklore)
  • Betty (folklore)
  • Champagne Problems (evermore)
  • August (folklore)
  • Illicit Affairs (folklore)
  • My Tears Ricochet (folklore)
  • Marjorie (evermore)
  • Willow (evermore)

Mother’s favourite child remains safe and sound with no changes and still following the Folklore set. Honestly, we would have loved to see some of this swapped out for the vault tracks which stormed the charts last year.

Bad Blood remains on the setlist, we wonder if Kendrick Lamar is free to come do a surprise live feature…

  • Blank Space
  • Shake It Off
  • Wildest Dreams

The Tortured Poets Department

Initially Swifties weren’t sure if this would be added and if so how could the 31 tracks possibly be whittled down into just a handful.

A new era brings blessings of brand new outfits, a floating stage set piece, gun shot choreography, and of course some insane vocal moments.

Taylor has spoken and these are (probably) her favourites off TTPD.

  • But Daddy I Love Him
  • So High School
  • Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me
  • The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  • I Can Do It with a Broken Heart

Surprise songs

Each night Taylor plays two surprise songs from her vast discography, these have included This Love and Clean from 1989 and Dear John and Last Kiss from Speak Now.

She’s taken to doing mashups of the tracks, sometimes leading to fan speculation that the lyrics are somehow intertwined in inspiration.

Also known as the acoustic set, Paris night one fans were (obviously) treated to Paris from her album Midnights played on piano and loml on guitar from TTPD.

Midnights Era

Closing out the show is the iconic era which gave us ‘Karma is the guy on the chiefs ’ and that chair choreography — Midnights.

Her 2022 album gets sparkling new outfits, although the Lavender Haze fluffy lilac jacket has not been swapped out.

  • Lavender Haze
  • Midnight Rain
  • Vigilante Shit

What is the old Eras Tour setlist?

With so many changes, here’s what Taylor’s Eras Tour used to look like for a setlist run

  • tis the damn season
  • champagne problems
  • tolerate it
  • invisible string
  • the last great american dynasty
  • illicit affairs
  • my tears ricochet

When is the Eras Tour in the UK?

The Eras Tour will come to the UK next month , beginning in Edinburgh for three nights before heading to Liverpool, Cardiff, and London .

Who knows what Taylor will have in store for fans given her penchant for keeping everyone on their toes.

Given the huge overhaul, this is likely to be the setlist for the UK gigs and all her European dates but might have minor tweaks thrown in.

Of course, if you’re sad your favourite track is not on there is always a chance it could be one of the surprise songs as she has no rules around what she can and can’t sing here.

We’re hoping for Electric Touch, Now That We Don’t Talk, The Black Dog , or Hits Different but that tells you far too much about us.

What is Paramore's Eras Tour setlist?

The iconic pop punk band Paramore will be opening for Taylor Swift at the UK gigs and they revealed their setlist in Paris.

Of course, it is much shorter but still packed with hits from the chart-topping band, fronted by Taylor’s long time friend Hayley Williams.

  • Hard Times (+ Heart Of Glass)

For Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Tonight Was Not the Night: Concert Review

Neil Young

Maybe it was the chilly temperatures, steady breeze and light spatterings of rain, which take a toll when a person is standing outdoors on an elevated platform — like the stage of a concert venue — for two hours. Or maybe it was just an off night. But the feverishly passionate reviews for the first dates of Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s “ Love Earth” tour — their first in a decade — bore little resemblance to the band that plodded through its set Wednesday evening in the second of a two-night stand New York’s Forest Hills Stadium. And the fact that they were plodding through a stunning setlist of songs from the peak of Young’s illustrious career only made it worse.

Popular on Variety

But a band, especially a live rock band, is only as good as its rhythm section, and on Wednesday night, the once-mighty Crazy Horse began wandering off the track as soon as they’d started. Most of the songs were played significantly slower than their recorded versions, sometimes approaching a sludgey, almost doom-metal tempo. Drummer Ralph Molina and bassist Billy Talbot, both 80, could barely keep things moving, missing beats and losing time. Rhythm guitarist Micah Nelson — country legend Willie’s 33-year-old son, who is new to this band but has been playing with Young for a decade — did his best to hold it together, but Young was cutting songs off at the earliest opportunity, where in the past he’d often just be getting started.

To be fair, the last time I saw Neil and Crazy Horse was in 1996 — when they blew the roof off of Madison Square Garden with an electrifying set filled with so many great songs that you just couldn’t believe it — and a spot listen to YouTube recordings of other concerts on this tour, including the previous night’s , finds the band playing better, sometimes much better. But this show had a killer setlist too — and apparently the tour’s debut of “Mansion on the Hill” — and hearing those timeless songs played by what at times sounded like your uncle’s covers band only made things worse. Young, who usually includes at least some more-recent material in his sets, kept it classic — just one song from the ‘90s, nothing newer — which suggests that maybe he knows this is probably Crazy Horse’s last ride.

It’s a fact of biology to say that elderly rock and roll is always going to be like an old-timers’ baseball game: No matter how much energy they display onstage, nearly all vocalists past a certain age must sing in lower registers. Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Elton John and many others in the 70-and-above group are able to deliver stadium-sized sets thanks to low-key but essential support from auxiliary players and singers — Springsteen’s current tour band totals 18 musicians. Drummers, obviously, have it hardest of all: The Stones’ late, great Charlie Watts must have been a freak of nature to power through two-hour sets into his late 70s; most older bands with their classic-era drummers are supported on tour with percussionists. And let’s be honest, whether we realize it or not, prerecorded backing tracks have become so ubiquitous at major concerts that our ears may be unaccustomed to not hearing them.

Neil Young has never done any of that and never will — he even made a crack about it early in the show, while waiting for his roadie to tune his trusty, battered Gibson Les Paul. “We have to make sure all the backing tracks are in synch,” he joked.

None of this is to say that older humans can’t be superhuman musicians or shouldn’t be touring and performing. But this band has two months’ worth of dates ahead of it, and on Wednesday night, it was hard not to wish that Neil had put the spurs on.

Rolling Stones at MetLife: From tickets to parking, here's everything you need to know

train tour setlist

The Rolling Stones and New Jersey got a thing going on, and rock 'n' roll fans like it.

The upcoming Stones shows Thursday, May 23, and Sunday, May 26, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford will be the band's 27th and 28th concerts in the state.

The Rolling Stones' first show in Jersey was at Symphony Hall in Newark, then called the Mosque Theater, on  Nov. 7, 1965 (they played two shows). A year later, they played the Steel Pier in Atlantic City, and two shows at Convention Hall in Asbury Park.

“It had been the hottest day of the year, and one somehow expected the extreme heat to dull the notorious fervor of the Stones’ fans,” wrote Linda Deutsch on July 3, 1966, for the Asbury Park Press. “But neither heat wave or cadre of Asbury Park policemen did much to calm the over-wrought teenagers.”

The Stones are currently on tour in support of the critically acclaimed album, “Hackney Diamonds,” their first LP in 18 years. The tour began April 28 at NRG Stadium in Houston, and will play 16 cities through the tour finale July 17 in Santa Clara, California. AARP is the sponsor. Mick Jagger and Richards are both 80.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

The Stones these days include founding members Jagger, vocals, and Richards, guitar; with Ronnie Wood, guitar; Darryl Jones, bass; and Steve Jordan, drums.
