The IATF-EID is composed of the following executive departments and agencies: Chair: Department of Health Co-Chair: Department of National Defense Members: Department of Agriculture; Department of Budget and Management; Department of Education; Department of Finance; Department of Foreign Affairs; Department of Information and Communications Technology; Department of the Interior and Local Government; Department of Justice; Department of Labor and Employment; Department of Migrant Workers; Department of Public Works and Highways; Department of Science and Technology; Department of Social Welfare and Development; Department of the Interior and Local Government; Department of Tourism; Department of Trade and Industry; Department of Transportation; Office of the Executive Secretary; Office of the Press Secretary; Presidential Management Staff; Office of the Special Assistant to the President; Commission on Higher Education; Technical Education and Skills Development Authority; National Economic and Development Authority; Office of the Chief Presidential Legal Counsel; and Civil Service Commission.

What does Fully Vaccinated mean?

F“Fully Vaccinated” against COVID-19 is defined as a traveler who has second (2nd) dose in a 2 dose series or a single dose COVID-19 vaccine MORE THAN Fourteen (14) days prior to the date and time of departure from the country of origin/port of embarkation (“Primary Series COVID-19 Vaccination”).

Why do I need to register to the eTravel?

Starting 01 September 2021, all incoming travelers to the Philippines are advised to use the eTravel registration system as mandated by IATF Resolution No. 135 dated 26 August 2021.

What is the official website of the eTravel?

The https://etravel.gov.ph/ is the ONLY OFFICIAL registration website for all international inbound travelers to the Philippines.

Do I need to pay for the registration of eTravel?

eTravel registration is FREE OF CHARGE and does not collect or require any form of online payment. BEWARE of fake, fraudulent, or scam websites and entities which require payment upon registration.

Do I need to download an application to use the eTravel?

No. eTravel is an information system that is mobile responsive, and a web based online platform. To use the eTravel, all you need is a smartphone or tablet or laptop or personal computer. You can open the eTravel using a mobile or computer internet browser.

Do I need an internet connection to use the eTravel?

Yes. eTravel is an online platform and therefore can only be used when you have an internet access. It is highly recommended to use eTravel while you have good and stable internet connection.

Can I register few days before the flight (before I travel)?

Yes. You may only register within 3 days (or 72 hours) prior to your arrival in the Philippines. Travelers are enjoined to present their proof of valid eTravel registration prior to flight boarding. It is important that your recent declaration of health condition is within 72 hours before arrival.

Is all information asked in the eTravel relevant to Health Declaration Checklist requirement?

Yes. Although some questions were added so that the system can determine your category based on the IATF requirements such as age, traveler classification, itinerary, etc. so you can be categorized and easily assisted/guided by the health border authorities when you arrive at the airport or seaport.

What is eHDC?

It stands for "electronic Health Declaration Card". This is the same yellow paper form which was previously used to be filled out manually by all arriving travelers in the Philippines and submitted to BOQ upon arrival. Instead of this, the eTravel replaces it digitally and your proof of registration and submission is the QR Code form that you receive upon successful registration with the eTravel.

What is the difference between the Green QR Code and Red QR Code of eTravel?

The GREEN QR Code is issued by the eTravel system when your submission of the required information and attachments are complete and complies with the IATF latest entry protocols ( IATF Resolution No. 2, s. 2022 ) . On the other hand, you will be issued a Reg QR Code in case you have missing requirements and you will be interviewed upon arrival at the airport by a BOQ personnel to manually verify and determine if you will be required to undergo facility-based quarantine and RT-PCR Testing.

What do I need to do after I register?

Take a screenshot or Download of your personal QR Code before closing or exiting the eTravel webiste or application. You will be required to show this QR code to an airline representative before being allowed to board your flight. Upon arrival in the Philippines, you must present this QR code to the BOQ Quarantine officers for verification.

What happens if I have a QR Code issued upon successful registration with eTravel?

If you received a QR Code upon registration with eTravel, you are pre-qualified for the express lane upon your arrival at the airport/seaport. This means that there’s no need to show the other documents to the Quarantine Officer. However, the data are still reviewed and verified by the BOQ before your actual arrival at the airport in case you have submitted wrongful information and/or the supporting documents you have submitted or uploaded, such as the vaccination or COVID-19 test, is incomplete or incorrect, you will be flagged by the BOQ and may still be required to undergo manual verification upon arrival. Therefore, ensure that you have properly filled out your information and submitted the correct document.

What happens if I have a Red QR Code issued upon successful registration with eTravel?

You will be manually verified by the Quarantine Officers and determine if you are compliant with the entry protocol set by the Philippine Government. It is necessary to show the specific documents which will be asked from you by the officer.

What is “Express Lane”?

Express lane has been included in the eTravel process to provide further convenience to the health protocol compliant international inbound travelers. When you are issued a Green QR Code and the information and supporting documents you have submitted during online registration has been approved, you are qualified in the express lane where your Green QR Code will be scanned and tagged for your arrival date and time. There may be no further interview or need for submission of any documents.

What is Manual Process?

Manual process is required for travelers issued with a Red QR Code. This is to verify and determine if you are compliant with the health protocol requirements of entering the Philippines. This also happens when your submitted information or uploaded documents needed evaluation upon arrival.

Does it automatically mean that I will be quarantined if I am manually processed upon arrival by BOQ?

No. If BOQ is able to verify your information and found you to be compliant based on the entry requirements, you will be advised to proceed to Immigration without the need for facility-based quarantine.

Can I print my eTravel personal QR code instead of screenshot?

Yes. You can print this for presentation at airport/seaport of origin and upon arrival in the Philippines. Yet again, for your convenience, you may as well take a screenshot or click download to save your eTravel personal QR code in your smartphone for presentation at the airport/seaport and upon arrival in the Philippines.

I lost the screenshot of my personal QR Code, what do I do?

If you registered within 72 hours prior to your arrival to the Philippines, you may retrieve your personal QR Code and view some of your details using the "Edit Registration” tab in the eTravel website. To open my profile, go to the eTravel etravel.gov.ph/search and enter your reference number and date of birth then press the CONTINUE button as shown in the blue box below.

I made a mistake. Can I still edit my information after I have successfully registered?

For as long as you have not been processed, verified, and tagged as arrived by the border health authorities (BOQ) in the eTravel you may still change some of your information in the eTravel through the “Edit Registration” tab in the eTravel website. You will not be able to edit your data once you have arrived, verified and tagged as arrived by the Quarantine Officer. The editable information are mainly the data that is needed during the issuance of your quarantine certificate (i.e. arrival date, address, other personal info).

I have registered more than once in the eTravel for my travel, which QR code should I use?

You may use either of the QR Code but you should only choose one to present upon your arrival. Only the verified QR Code by BOQ upon your arrival at the airport/seaport is valid for your travel. Presenting different QR code during the process may cause delay or inconvenience for you.

Why can I not use the same QR Code next flight?

In compliance with the Republic Act No. 10173 (otherwise known as the “Data Privacy Act”), all sensitive personal information is immediately deleted from the eTravel database after you have been completely processed based on the quarantine and health protocol set by the Government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and for disease surveillance and response. Your personal eTravel QR Code is therefore issued per transaction in the system and new registration is required for each travel.

How many days is the quarantine period?

1. FULLY VACCINATED- 7 days 2. PARTIALLY/UNVACCINATED- 10 days

What if the result of my COVID-19 RT-PCR is positive?

You will receive a call from the BOQ Operation Center to give instructions on your isolation procedure.

Which COVID-19 laboratory will test me?

There are twelve (12) accredited laboratories for testing of international inbound traveler to ensure service level agreement. These laboratories are required to visit and conduct testing at your quarantine hotels and are mandated to release the result within 24 hours from the time of testing. Here are the list of laboratories: 1. AL MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY 2. CHINESE GENERAL HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL CENTER 3. DETOXICARE MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS LABORATORY 4. FIRSTAIDE DIAGNOSTIC CENTER 5. INTRAMUROS MOLECULAR LABORATORY 6. JT CENICA MEDICAL HEALTH SYSTEM 7. KAIROS DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY 8. PHILIPPINE AIRPORT DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY 9. PHILIPPINE RED CROSS 10. SAFEGUARD DNA DIAGNOSTICS LABORATORY 11. THE LORDS GRACE MEDICAL AND INDUSTRIAL CLINIC

Can I select which laboratory I will be tested?

Yes, but you may only choose from the list of accredited laboratories. You can select the laboratory when you are processed by the BOQ at the airport/seaport of your arrival. You will be asked by BOQ to choose from the list your preferred laboratory.

What will I present as proof that I have completed the quarantine requirement?

You will need the BOQ Quarantine Certificate as proof of your quarantine completion. You will not be allowed by the Hotel to check out unless you are able to show valid Quarantine Certificate from BOQ.

How do I get the BOQ Quarantine Certificate?

You are only able to get the BOQ Quarantine Certificate if you have been tested by an accredited COVID-19 laboratory and you are found NEGATIVE from COVID-19. BOQ Quarantine Certificate will be issued by the BOQ Medical Team in charge at the isolation facility. Your Quarantine Certificate will only be available if your test is NEGATIVE.

Traveling to the Philippines: How to Get eTRAVEL QR CODE Online (Arrival Card)

Traveling to the Philippines: How to Get eTRAVEL QR CODE Online (Arrival Card)

By continuing to read this article, you agree to double check with the authorities or other concerned entities for the latest updates.

Are you traveling to the Philippines? ALL incoming international travelers including Filipino citizens and foreigners, adults and children, must secure an eTravel QR code online 72 HOURS or THREE DAYS before your arrival.

Just like the old One Health Pass and eArrival Card, this new eTravel QR system serves as an all-in-one online platform for the arrival card, health declaration, and contact tracing.

But don’t worry, it’s easy to get one. In this article, we’ll walk you through the process one step at a time. Here’s how to do it.

WHAT'S COVERED IN THIS GUIDE?

1. Go to eTravel official website.

The official website is https://etravel.gov.ph .

Make sure it’s the legitimate website. Note that eTravel QR Code is FREE of charge. If you landed on a website requiring you to pay for the service, it’s a scam.

2. Start your registration.

On the home page, you’ll see the registration section. For Filipino citizens, click the PHILIPPINE PASSPORT HOLDER box. Then, start entering the following details:

eTravel Website Home Page

  • Transportation Type
  • Date of Arrival
  • Email Address

Tick the DATA PRIVACY AND AFFIDAVIT OF UNDERTAKING box. It’s easy to miss because the tick box is quite small, but you’ll find it before the CONTINUE button.

When you check that, a page will pop. Read first, then click the YES, I AGREE button.

Finally, hit the CONTINUE button.

3. Provide your Personal Information.

Enter the following details:

eTravel Website 2

  • Passport Number
  • Citizenship
  • Country of Birth
  • Mobile Number

If the system detected that you belong to the (legal) working age group, it will require you to answer the OCCUPATION section. Choose your professional field. If you can’t find it in the choices, select OTHERS . When you are done, click NEXT .

4. Enter your address.

You will be asked to provide your specific address down to house number or unit number.

If you live in Metro Manila, choose National Capital Region or NCR.

eTravel Website 3

5. Submit your travel details.

Enter the following travel information:

  • Arrival Date
  • Country of Origin
  • Purpose of Travel
  • Flight Number
  • Seat Number (optional)
  • Name of Airline
  • Airport of Arrival
  • Traveller Type (aircraft passenger or flight crew).

When you are done, click NEXT .

6. Accomplish the Health Declaration Form

eTravel Website 4 Health Declaration

This includes your Vaccination Details. If you are fully vaccinated, answer NO for the section asking if you have a negative Antigen Test result. After that are the usual ‘Yes or No’ questions about history of exposure and if you’ve been sick in the past 30 days. After answering all the items, click ‘NEXT’.

7. Review the information you encoded.

Read the summary of all the details you provided. If you need to change or correct something, just click the pencil symbol on the upper right portion of the category you want to edit. If you are good and you have nothing to correct, click SUBMIT .

eTravel Website 5

8. Download your QR Code.

Congratulations! You will instantly receive your QR Code.

Don’t forget to download or screenshot it! You’ll be presenting it upon arrival in the Philippines.

eTravel Website 6

  • If your QR Code page is GREEN , it means you met the travel requirements and you can directly go to express lane where you will have the BOQ officer scan your QR Code.
  • If your QR Code page is RED , you have to let the Quarantine Officer manually verify the required additional documents to determine if you are compliant with the entry protocols set by the Philippine government. Travelers who usually get RED-marked QR Code are the unvaccinated and the partially vaccinated. Again, check the entry guideline set by the Philippine Government first before traveling to the Philippines.

One QR Code is issued per transaction and per entry. You can only use it once and you need to register again and get a new QR Code the next time you travel to the Philippines.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

I want to change something after generating the qr code. how to correct it.

You can still edit your info if you noticed a typo error or you entered wrong data. However, note that you can only do this BEFORE it gets validated or verified by the BOQ officer upon your arrival sa Pilipinas. Ensure that you make your corrections before your flight to the Philippines.

To do this, just go to the main page or home page of eTravel, then click the UPDATE REGISTRATION button. Provide your reference number or transaction number and birth date.

At what point of the airport process should I present the QR code?

From the team’s experience, we were asked to present our QR Codes at these stations:

  • Check-in Counter, before departure abroad (at the country of origin)
  • Bureau of Quarantine Area, after deplaning and before the Immigration counters in the Philippines. The staff/officers will be scanning the QR code. It’s a very quick and smooth process if you have a green QR code.

The staff may also ask for it at the boarding gate (country of origin/abroad), so just ready your copy during these times.

ATTENTION! Travel requirements change from time to time, so it’s best to check with the government of the country you want to visit the updated travel restrictions and requirements before you travel. For the Philippine’s updated entry requirements, you can check the official eTravel website: https://etravel.gov.ph/entry-guidelines.

Do I still need to accomplish One Health Pass and eArrival Card?

No need. The eTravel has officially replaced the now obsolete One Health Pass and eArrival Card starting 2 December 2022.

To be honest, all these systems are very similar. The changes are not too drastic. Some items were removed such as the Philhealth Number, and then some required items are now optional. The noticeable difference is not really the content but the appearance or the user interface.

Do I have to pay for eTravel QR Code? How much is the charge?

No, you don’t need to pay anything for the eTravel QR Code. It is FREE of charge. If you landed on a website requiring you to pay for the service, it’s a scam.

Is there a Tagalog version of this article?

Yes. Ganito Friend has a Tagalog video version on YouTube. You can find it here .

Guide to eTravel (Formerly eArrival Card) Registration for International Travelers to the Philippines—2023

What are the Entry Requirements for International Travelers in the Philippines?

As a traveler to the Philippines, it is important to know the entry requirements to avoid any hassle during the check-in or boarding process. All international travelers are required to register to the eTravel platform and show proof of eTravel registration upon check-in/boarding and on arrival in the Philippines.

Effective May 30, 2022, the Philippine government has lifted the requirement for facility-based quarantine and pre-departure COVID-19 testing for fully vaccinated international travelers. To be considered fully vaccinated, travelers must have received the second dose in a two-dose series or a single dose COVID-19 vaccine more than 14 days prior to departure from the country of origin/port of embarkation.

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travelers , both Filipino and foreign, are required to present a remotely supervised/laboratory-based Rapid Antigen Test administered and certified by a healthcare professional in a healthcare facility, laboratory, clinic, or other similar establishment taken 24 hours prior to the date and time of departure from the country of origin/first port of embarkation in a continuous travel to the Philippines, excluding lay-overs. If a traveler fails to present a negative pre-departure test, they will be required to undergo a laboratory-based Antigen Test UPON ARRIVAL at the airport.

Accompanied minors below 15 years of age who are not vaccinated for any reason whatsoever shall follow the quarantine protocols of their parents or an accompanying adult/guardian traveling with them.

Unaccompanied minors below 15 years of age who are not vaccinated for any reason whatsoever shall follow the same protocols as those who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.

It is important to note that any inbound traveler, whether Filipino or foreign nationa l, who shall test positive for COVID-19 through rapid antigen test shall be subjected to the latest prevailing quarantine and isolation protocols of the Department of Health (DOH).

What is the eTravel Registration System?

The eTravel registration system is a mobile-responsive, web-based online platform that incoming international travelers to the Philippines are advised to use. Registration to eTravel is free of charge, and the only official website for registration is https://etravel.gov.ph/ . Travelers are advised to beware of fake, fraudulent, or scam websites that require payment upon registration.

To register for eTravel, all you need is a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or personal computer. You do not need to download any application to use the system. However, you need to have an internet connection to access the platform. It is highly recommended that you use eTravel while you have good and stable internet connection.

You can register with eTravel within three days (or 72 hours) prior to your arrival in the Philippines. Travelers are required to present proof of their valid eTravel registration prior to boarding their flight. It is important to note that your recent declaration of health condition should be within 72 hours before your arrival.

All the information required in eTravel is relevant to the Health Declaration Checklist requirement. Although some questions were added so that the system can determine your category based on the IATF requirements, such as age, traveler classification, itinerary, and more, so you can be categorized and easily assisted/guided by the health border authorities when you arrive at the airport or seaport.

Instead of filling out the manual yellow paper form that was previously used and submitted to BOQ upon arrival, the eTravel replaces it digitally. Your proof of registration and submission is the QR code that you receive upon successful registration with the eTravel.

What To Do After eTravel Registration?

Once you have registered and submitted all the necessary information, you will be issued a QR Code. There are two types of QR Codes: Green and Red.

The Green QR Code is issued to travelers whose submitted information and attachments are complete and comply with the latest entry protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF). It means that you have passed the verification process and pre-qualified for the express lane upon arrival. You don’t need to show any other documents to the Quarantine Officer at the airport/seaport, but the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) will still review and verify the data before your actual arrival.

Meanwhile, the Red QR Code is issued to those with incomplete or missing requirements. You will be interviewed upon arrival by a BOQ personnel to verify if you will be required to undergo facility-based quarantine and RT-PCR Testing. Therefore, it’s crucial to ensure that you have provided all the necessary information and supporting documents during registration.

It’s essential to download or take a screenshot of your personal QR Code before exiting the eTravel website or application. You must present this QR code to an airline representative before boarding your flight and to the BOQ Quarantine officers for verification upon arrival in the Philippines.

If you have a Green QR Code , you are qualified for the express lane, which aims to provide further convenience to health protocol-compliant international inbound travelers. Your Green QR Code will be scanned and tagged for your arrival date and time. There may be no further interview or need for submission of any documents.

However, if you have a Red QR Code , you will be manually verified by the Quarantine Officers, and you must show the specific documents that they will ask from you. Thus, it’s crucial to ensure that you have completed all the necessary requirements before your trip to avoid any inconvenience.

What To Do When Issued a Red QR Code?

One of the essential things that travelers should keep in mind is the manual process for those issued with a Red QR Code. This process is required to determine if you are compliant with the health protocol requirements of entering the Philippines. It’s also needed when your submitted information or uploaded documents require evaluation upon arrival.

If you’re manually processed upon arrival by the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), it doesn’t automatically mean that you will be quarantined . If BOQ is able to verify your information and found you to be compliant based on the entry requirements, you will be advised to proceed to Immigration without the need for facility-based quarantine.

Travelers are often curious if they can print their eTravel personal QR code instead of screenshot. The answer is yes. You can print this for presentation at the airport/seaport of origin and upon arrival in the Philippines. However, for your convenience, you may also take a screenshot or click download to save your eTravel personal QR code on your smartphone for presentation at the airport/seaport and upon arrival in the Philippines.

If you lose the screenshot of your personal QR code, don’t panic. If you registered within 72 hours prior to your arrival in the Philippines, you may retrieve your personal QR code and view some of your details using the “Edit Registration” tab on the eTravel website. To open your profile, go to the eTravel website etravel.gov.ph/search and enter your reference number and date of birth, then press the CONTINUE button as shown in the blue box below.

It’s not uncommon for travelers to make mistakes during registration. If you’ve successfully registered, you can still edit some of your information in the eTravel through the “Edit Registration” tab on the eTravel website, as long as you have not been processed, verified, and tagged as arrived by the border health authorities (BOQ) in the eTravel. Once you have arrived, verified, and tagged as arrived by the Quarantine Officer, you will not be able to edit your data. The editable information is mainly the data that is needed during the issuance of your quarantine certificate, such as your arrival date, address, and other personal information.

If you’ve registered more than once on the eTravel for your travel, you may use either of the QR codes, but you should only choose one to present upon your arrival. Only the verified QR code by BOQ upon your arrival at the airport/seaport is valid for your travel. Presenting a different QR code during the process may cause delay or inconvenience for you.

It’s essential to note that you cannot use the same QR code on your next flight. Your personal eTravel QR code is therefore issued per transaction in the system, and new registration is required for each travel.

When is Facility-Based Quarantine Required for Foreign Travelers?

Facility-based quarantine is required for travelers exhibiting fever or other signs and symptoms related to COVID-19, Monkeypox, or any other infectious disease pending test confirmation. It is also mandated for those who tested positive on Antigen/RT-PCR Test, partially vaccinated against COVID-19, or have signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Even minors who accompany parents or guardians with any of the above conditions are also required to undergo quarantine.

The quarantine period in the Philippines varies depending on the vaccination status of the traveler. Fully vaccinated individuals are required to quarantine for seven days, while those who are partially or unvaccinated need to undergo a ten-day quarantine period.

If a traveler’s COVID-19 RT-PCR test result is positive, they will receive a call from the BOQ Operation Center to give instructions on their isolation procedure. The Philippines has twelve accredited laboratories for testing international inbound travelers. These laboratories are required to conduct testing at quarantine hotels and release the result within 24 hours from the time of testing. Travelers are allowed to choose from the list of accredited laboratories when processed by the BOQ at the airport/seaport of their arrival.

A BOQ Quarantine Certificate is necessary as proof of quarantine completion. This certificate will be issued by the BOQ Medical Team in charge of the isolation facility, but only if the traveler’s test result is negative.

As we continue to navigate the complexities of traveling during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to stay up to date on the latest guidelines and requirements for safe and responsible travel. The information provided in this article serves as a guide to understanding the protocols in place for international inbound travelers to the Philippines. By following these guidelines, we can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure a smoother travel experience for everyone involved.

Remember to always prioritize your health and safety, and to follow the advice of local health authorities and travel advisories when planning your trips. With patience, cooperation, and responsible travel practices, we can work together to overcome the challenges of the pandemic and return to a more normal way of life.

Thank you for reading, and safe travels!

How to Process eTravel Card Registration Philippines

What is eTravel Registration?

The eArrival card functioned as an online health declaration and contact tracing platform, facilitating the transit of foreign passengers from their country of origin to their destination’s Local Government Unit (LGU) in the Philippines.

Beginning December 1, 2022, the Philippine government replaced the eArrival card with a new e-Travel registration. The goal of e-Travel registration will be similar to that of the eArrival card, but it will require less information, be easier to complete, and have an intuitive interface. The former eArrival card registration page will be available and approved just during a brief transition period.

Benefits of eTravel Card Registration

There are many benefits to registering your e-Travel card. First and foremost, it will make your travel experience easier. Upon arrival at the airport in the Philippines, you will no longer have to fill out an immigration form or queue up at a desk. Instead, you simply hand over your passport and receipt for payment of fees (if any). Read on to learn more about how you can benefit from registering your e-Travel card.

Convenience

The eTravel registration is incredibly convenient for both travelers and travel authorities.

This saves time and effort, allowing travelers to relax during the trip instead of worrying about the registration process. Additionally, travel authorities can quickly and easily access traveler health information, allowing them to provide more efficient assistance.

Cost Savings

The eTravel registration can also help to save money. By eliminating the need for paper forms and manual data entry, eTravel registration reduces administrative costs associated with registering travelers.

Additionally, eTravel registration can help reduce medical care costs by streamlining the registration process and allowing the medical staff at travel entry/exit points to focus on providing the necessary assistance and guidance to passengers instead of worrying about paperwork.

Improved Accuracy

The eTravel registration also helps to improve accuracy. By eliminating manual data entry, online health travel registration reduces the chance of errors in patient information.

Additionally, the eTravel registration allows for real-time updates to traveler information, ensuring that travel authorities have access to the most up-to-date information. This helps to ensure that travelers receive the best possible support and guidance on their journey.

Increased Security

The eTravel registration also offers increased security for both travelers and local authorities. Using secure encryption technology, eTravel registration ensures that patient information is kept safe and secure.

Additionally, online health travel registration allows healthcare providers to access patient information without worrying about unauthorized access or data breaches.

Streamlined Communication

Online health travel registration also helps to streamline communication between travelers and travel authorities. By allowing travelers to provide their medical information easily and coordinate with travel authorities, eTravel registration helps to ensure that travelers receive timely response and guidance from travel authorities.

Additionally, the eTravel registration allows travel authorities to quickly and easily communicate with travelers, helping to ensure that they receive timely updates on their health status.

Entry Guidelines

As per IATF Resolution No. 2, travelers should be aware of the various requirements when it comes to entering the Philippines. Here are the entry guidelines for those traveling to the Philippines. This information is taken from etravel.gov.ph :

A. FULLY VACCINATED (Filipino and Foreign Travelers)

– No pre-departure COVID-19 Test requirement – At least fourteen (14) days before departure from the country of origin/port of embarkation, you must have received the second dose of a two-dose series or a single dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

B. UNVACCINATED or PARTIALLY VACCINATED (Filipino and Foreign Travelers)

1. Travelers aged 15 and up must present a remotely supervised/laboratory-based Rapid Antigen Test administered and certified by a healthcare professional in a healthcare facility, laboratory, clinic, or other similar establishment taken 24 hours prior to departure from the country of origin/first port of embarkation in a continuous travel to the Philippines, excluding layovers.

2. Adults (15 and older) who fail a pre-departure test must submit to a laboratory-based Antigen Test UPON ARRIVAL at the airport.

3. Children under 15 years old who are not being vaccinated for any reason must meet their parents’ or guardian’s requirements. They must also follow the recommendations above.

NOTE: Any inbound traveler, whether Filipino or Foreign national, who shall test positive for COVID-19 through rapid antigen test shall be subjected to the latest prevailing quarantine and isolation protocols of the DOH.

Who should apply for an eTravel Card?

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has mandated that all travelers entering the country complete an eTravel registration.

eTravel Card registration

eTravel is an online platform and information system that is web-based and responsive to mobile devices. To utilize eTravel, all you need is a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet, a laptop, or a desktop computer. You can access the eTravel platform via the web browser on your mobile device or personal computer.

When to register

Individual eTravel registration applications must be submitted a minimum of 72 hours before an inbound traveler enters the Philippines. This requirement applies to all inbound travelers, regardless of nationality or place of origin, including infants and children.

It is extremely important that the eTravel registration form be completed in its entirety since you will be asked to produce proof of registration in order to board the aircraft.

Process for eTravel Card Registration

Registering on the eTravel platform is simple. Here are a few steps you can follow:

Step 1 : Go to the eTravel registration website .

Step 2: Choose either “Philippine passport holder” or “Foreign passport holder” based on your nationality.

Step 3: Enter your trip details and email address, then hit “Continue.”

Step 4: Fill out your registration form by providing your personal information and signing a health declaration form.

That’s it! Simple, right? After you have successfully registered for the eTravel Card, your QR Code will be sent to you. You can download or take a snapshot of this QR Code before exiting or closing the eTravel application or website. You will then be required to present this code to the airline representative before boarding the plane.

Green QR Code

Once you have submitted all required information and files, the eTravel system will generate a Green QR Code for you. When you are given a Green QR Code and your online registration information and associated documents are authenticated, you will be able to use the airport’s “Express Lane,” where your Green QR Code will be scanned and tagged with your arrival date and time. There could be no additional interviews or document submissions.

Red QR Code

If you are lacking prerequisites, you will be issued a Red QR Code and will be interrogated by Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) workers upon arrival at the airport to manually verify and determine if you are required to undergo facility-based quarantine and RT-PCR Testing.

Cost for eTravel Card

Unlike other travel registration sites, eTravel does not require a payment method. It is free of charge, and you can register without any form of payment. Be wary of websites that claim to be legitimate, but require payment in order to operate.

All foreign and local travelers, including children and infants, should register for the eTravel platform before they travel to the Philippines.

You must first register with eTravel and show proof of your registration when you’re at the airport or on your way to the Philippines.

In accordance with IATF Resolution 168, effective May 30, 2022, all international travelers who are planning on visiting the Philippines are hereby exempted from having to undergo a facility-based quarantine and are only required to present a negative test result if certain conditions are met.

6. What does Fully Vaccinated mean?

7. What does Booster mean?

8. Why do I need to register to the eTravel?

9. Do I need to pay for the registration of eTravel?

The eTravel registration process is free of charge, and does not require a payment via online. Be aware of fraudulent or fake websites that claim to have the necessary payment details.

10. Do I need to download and APP to use the eTravel?

The eTravel is a web-based platform that is mobile-friendly. It can be accessed through a smartphone or tablet or a computer. You can open it using a browser that’s compatible with mobile devices.

11. Do I need an internet connection to use the eTravel?

eTravel is an online platform that can only be used if you have a stable internet connection. It is recommended to use it while you have such a connection.

12. Can I register few days before the flight (before I travel)?

You can only register for eTravel within three days prior to your trip to the Philippines. Those who have already submitted their proof of registration must present it at the airport. Their recent health condition must also be declared within 72 hours before they can board the plane.

13. Is all information asked in the eTravel relevant to Health Declaration Checklist requirement?

Some of the questions that were added to the system were designed to help the authorities determine which category you should be in, based on the requirements of the IATF. This will allow you to easily navigate through the various categories and be assisted by the health border authorities.

14. What is eHDC?

The Electronic Health Declaration Card is a type of card that’s used by all travelers in the Philippines to present their health information to BOQ. This form was previously filled out manually by the travelers. With the eTravel, instead of using a yellow paper form, you will receive a QR Code form after your registration has been successful.

15. What is the difference between the Green QR Code and Red QR Code of eTravel?

The eTravel system will issue a Greeb QR Code if your submission of the necessary information and attachments is complete and compliant with the IATF’s latest entry protocols.

On the other hand, if you have any missing requirements, you will be issued a Reg QR Code upon reaching the airport. A BOQ representative will then check if you have to undergo RT-PCR or quarantine testing.

16. What do I need to do after I register?

Before you can exit or close the eTravel application or webiste, take a quick look at your QR Code. This will allow the airline representative to confirm that you are a legitimate user and allow you to board the plane. You must then present this code to the BOQ Quarantine officials upon reaching the Philippines.

17. What happens if I have a QR Code issued upon successful registration with eTravel?

Upon registering for eTravel, you will automatically be considered for the express lane upon your airport or seaport arrival.

This means that the Quarantine Officer no longer has to show other documents to you. However, they still check and verify the data that you have submitted to the BOQ in case there are discrepancies or incorrect information. If you have submitted documents that are incomplete or incorrect, such as the COVID-19 test or vaccination, you may still be required to go through a manual verification procedure at the airport.

18. What happens if I have a Red QR Code issued upon successful registration with eTravel?

Upon being verified by the Quarantine Officers, you will be asked to provide them with specific documents in order to determine if you are following the entry protocol of the Philippine Government.

19. What is “Express Lane”?

The eTravel process has been designed to make it easier for international travelers to comply with the health protocol requirements of the country they are visiting.

Through the express lane, you can easily identify and confirm your arrival date and time by scanning and tagging your Green QR Code. This feature eliminates the need for you to submit any documents and allows you to leave the airport without further interviews.

20. What is Manual Process?

Travelers with a Red QR Code may be required to undergo a manual process to confirm their health protocol compliance upon entering the Philippines. This step can also be performed upon submission of documents or information.

21. Does it automatically mean that I will be quarantined if I am manually processed upon arrival by BOQ?

If BOQ verifies that you are in compliance with the entry requirements, then you will not need to go through a facility-based quarantine.

22. Can I print my eTravel personal QR code instead of screenshot?

You can print this document for presentation at the airport or seaport of origin or upon your arrival in the Philippines. Just make sure to take a quick Screenshot or download the eTravel app to save your personal QR code.

23. I lost the screenshot of my personal QR Code, what do I do?

You can retrieve your QR Code and other personal details by logging in to the eTravel website. To do so, go to the website’s main page and click on the “My Profile” tab. You can also enter your details, such as your birthdate and reference number.

23. I lost my transaction number; how can I open my profile?

Follow the instructions below to try and find your transaction number. If it’s still valid, you can proceed to your account and receive your email address.

24. I made a mistake. Can I still edit my information after I have successfully registered?

If you have not been verified, processed, and tagged as you were when you entered the eTravel by the border health authorities, you can still change some of your details in the website’s “Open My Profile” section.

However, you will not be able to edit the data that you have collected since you have arrived due to the quarantine officer’s strict requirements. The data that you have collected includes your arrival date, address, and other personal information.

The goal of eTravel registration will be similar to that of the eArrival card, but it will require less information, be easier to complete, and have an easy user interface. The prior eArrival card registration website will be accessible and accepted during a temporary transition period.

Prior to this update, foreign travelers going from their point of origin to the Local Government Unit (LGU) in the Philippines used the eArrival card as a platform for online health declarations and contact tracking. As a result, they were allowed to travel to the Philippines.

eTravel card registration will serve the same purpose as the eArrival card registration, but will require less information, be simpler to complete, and include a more intuitive user interface.

On December 1, 2022, the Philippine government introduced e-Travel registration, which replaced the eArrival card. And in line with this, starting December 5, 2022, the general public will no longer be able to use the One Health Pass website.

After December 2, travelers entering the Philippines will be required to register for the government’s new electronic travel system.

To increase overall travel safety and minimize the spread of the coronavirus, all travelers are required to use this brand-new electronic travel system. The Bureau of Immigration will no longer accept the printed Arrival Card obtained through the One Health Pass website as of the date of the change. The digital version of the eTravel Card, which is accessible through the platform and will be explained in further detail in the following sections, is required for international travelers.

In the meanwhile, we have compiled a list of the most frequently asked eTravel registration system questions.

Before entering the Philippines, foreign visitors can quickly and securely register their personal information, including medical history and contact information, on the eTravel platform. In addition, the government is mandated to maintain a record of all individuals who enter the country with a medical history that includes specific diseases. Include the condition under examination in this history.

Instead, they will only be required to report a negative test result under certain conditions. This change will be implemented as soon as possible.

3. Why should I go to the trouble of registering for eTravel?

If you enter the Philippines for the first time after September 1, 2021, you must validate your personal information through the e-Travel registration system. Resolution 135 of the IATF mandates that the protocol be followed in its existing form.

Because the eTravel platform is web-based, you only need a device with internet access to use it. It was designed specifically for mobile use. It is accessible through conventional desktop PCs, mobile devices, and other portable electronic devices. It is accessible via a mobile-friendly web browser.

At the airport, you must register for eTravel at least three (3) days before to your trip to the Philippines. To validate their registration, those who have previously registered at the airport must present identification. In addition, passengers have only 72 hours from the time they board the aircraft to notify the appropriate authorities of their most current medical condition. This time constraint commences upon boarding the aircraft.

The authorities expect that by asking you some of these extra questions, they will be able to determine which group you belong to based on IATF criteria and thus direct their investigation appropriately. This will make it simpler for you to traverse the several categories and obtain advice from health specialists.

You can access a range of your personal details, including your QR Code, by logging in to the eTravel website. To do so, visit the homepage of the website and click the “My Profile” option. You can also acquire your produced code by entering your birth date and reference number. Please note that these coupons are only valid for three days and nights; after that, you must re-register.

If the border health authorities have not yet screened, processed, and tagged you when you signed up for eTravel, you can modify certain information on the “Open My Profile” page of the website. This holds true even if you have been vetted, processed, and tagged earlier.

Due to the stringent nature of quarantine rules, you will be unable to modify the information you’ve provided once you arrive. Your arrival date, address, and perhaps further personal information will be collected.

This article will assist individuals considering a trip to the Philippines. Before making travel arrangements, you must investigate the country’s entry requirements.

The eTravel platform has made booking travel arrangements easier than ever before. The website is now accessible from any web-enabled device, in any location, as a result of the new registration procedure. This new method also makes it simpler for passengers to monitor their accounts.

Never use any other website to register for a trip to the Philippines but etravel.gov.ph. This may mislead you into supplying personal information and payment for a registration process that should be entirely free.

Authorities hope that by carefully answering some of these questions, they can determine which category you fall under and direct their investigation in accordance with IATF standards. It will make it easier for one to consult experts and explore the different categories at the health border. Additionally, you can save the image of your QR Code on your mobile device.

You can access your personal details, such as your QR Code, by navigating to the eTravel website’s homepage and clicking on the “My Profile” option. How to Obtain an eTravel Registration Card for Visitors to the Philippines

Prior to this update, foreign travelers have used the eArrival card as a platform for online health declarations and contact tracking to travel from their point of origin to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of their destination in the Philippines. This enabled them to travel to the Philippines.

The eTravel card registration will serve the same purpose as the eArrival card; however, it will require fewer pieces of information, will be easier to complete, and will have a more user-friendly user interface.

On December 1, 2022, the Philippine government implemented the e-Travel registration, which replaced the eArrival card. As a result, as of December 5, 2022, the One Health Pass Website is no longer accessible to the general public.

The site also has the BOQ-required Health Declaration Checklist. It includes an electronic version of the travel card, which is required for immigration clearance.

Travelers entering the Philippines after December 2nd will be required to sign up for a new electronic travel system being implemented by the government.

Every traveler must use this brand-new electronic travel system to increase overall travel safety and limit the transmission of the coronavirus. Those who do not register in advance will be subject to further quarantine restrictions. Thus, in order to avoid such a predicament, it’s best to be guided by the updated procedures and requirements in order to utilize this system.

The printed Arrival Card obtained through the One Health Pass website will no longer be accepted by the Bureau of Immigration as of the date of the modification. Travelers from other countries must have the digital version of the eTravel Card available through the platform, which you will learn more about in the next sections.

In accordance with IATF Resolution No. 2, travelers must be notified of the varied entrance procedures required by the Philippines. The following are the conditions for entering the Philippines, as gathered from the etravel.gov.ph website:

  • COMPLETELY VACCINATED (Filipino and Foreign Travelers)

A COVID-19 test is not required prior to travel. At least fourteen (14) days before departure from the country of origin/port of embarkation, the second dose of a two-dose series or a single dose of the COVID-19 vaccination is necessary.

  • Unimmunized or only partially immunized (Filipino and Foreign Travelers)
  • Passengers aged 15 and over are required to produce the results of a Rapid Antigen Test performed in a laboratory under remote observation and confirmed by a competent medical expert within 24 hours of departing their country of origin/first port of embarkation, excluding layovers.
  • Adults over the age of 15 who failed a pre-departure test are required to submit to a laboratory antigen test ON ARRIVING AT THE AIRPORT.
  • Unimmunized children under the age of 15 are expected to obey the standards set by their parents or legal guardians. Furthermore, they must follow current regulations.

NOTE: Any inbound traveler of any nationality who tests positive for COVID-19 utilizing a fast antigen test will be subjected to the most recent DOH quarantine and isolation guidelines. This is true regardless of the traveler’s home country. Qualifications Every visitor to the Philippines must follow specific entrance requirements in order to enter the country. As previously stated, the requirements differ based on the individual’s age group.

Every tourist, including infants and minors, must register for eTravel 72 hours in advance of their trip to the Philippines. This must be completed prior to boarding an airplane. The registration process is as follows:

Visit the eTravel website in your spare time. Remember that this procedure will not cost you anything, so don’t be concerned about the expense. Furthermore, if you come across a website that requests a fee, you know it’s a hoax. The steps for registering on the platform are as follows.

  • Complete your Personal Profile, including your passport number and current job position (if applicable).
  • Enter your mailing address next.
  • Complete the Health Declaration, which includes questions about your COVID-19 vaccinations.

Your information summary is now ready for your approval and submission.

Once all conditions are met, a QR Code will be generated. Take a screenshot of the code before leaving the page because it will be scanned both when you board the plane and when you arrive in the Philippines.

If your submission of the required information and attachments is full and matches the most recent IATF entry criteria, the eTravel system will generate a GREEN QR Code .

If you do not meet the standards, you will be given a RED QR Code when you arrive at the airport. After that, a BOQ representative will decide whether RT-PCR testing or quarantine testing is required.

It is critical to understand that reusing the same code is not allowed. You must register and generate a new QR Code for your forthcoming trip.

Assume you want a quick way to keep up with the most recent modifications to e-travel registration protocols. In that case, you should watch this video, which explains how to register for the new e-travel card.

This video will help you understand some of the most essential procedural issues you may face while traveling, giving you some peace of mind in knowing that your travel is safe and well-organized. As a result, be prepared to take notes and adhere to all the recommendations based on the vlogger’s personal experience applying for this card.

Frequently Asked Questions

To comply with the IATF guideline, the eArrival system must be replaced with a new website that includes a health declaration check list. This will be done in order to comply with the government’s travel requirements. When the newly developed website is ultimately available for usage, the entire public will be notified. In the meanwhile, we’ve compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions about the eTravel registration system.

Visitors from other countries can utilize the eTravel platform to quickly and safely enter their personal information, including medical history and contact information, prior to entering the Philippines. Furthermore, the government is compelled to keep a record of everyone who enters the nation with a medical history that includes specified conditions. This history must include the condition under consideration.

This means that tourists of any age, including babies and children, must first register on the eTravel website before entering the Philippines.

Before you may fly to the Philippines, you must first register with the eTravel website and then submit your registration papers at the airport. Because eTravel registration is an essential stage in the government’s travel procedure, all arriving travelers should be aware of its importance.

According to the requirements of IATF Resolution 168, facility-based quarantine for visitors from foreign countries seeking to enter the Philippines will no longer be required as of May 30, 2022. Instead, they will only be required to submit a negative test result if they are required to do so under certain conditions. This change will be implemented as soon as possible.

If you enter the Philippines for the first time after September 1, 2021, you must confirm your personal information using the e-Travel registration system. The IATF’s Resolution 135 makes following the procedure in its current version mandatory.

Because the eTravel platform is web-based, all you need to utilize it is a device that can connect to the internet. It was specifically designed for mobile use. It is accessible via traditional desktop PCs, mobile devices, and other portable electronic devices. It can be accessed via a web browser designed for mobile devices.

At least three (3) days before your trip to the Philippines, you must register for eTravel at the airport. Passengers who have already registered at the airport must provide identification documents to confirm their registration. Furthermore, travelers have only 72 hours from the time they board the airline to notify the appropriate authorities of their most recent medical condition. This time limit starts the moment they board the plane.

The authorities expect that by asking you some of these extra questions, they will be able to determine which group you belong into according to IATF criteria and thus properly direct their inquiry. This will make it easy for you to explore the many categories and seek advice from health specialists.

You can access a range of your personal information, including your QR Code, by logging in to the eTravel website. To do so, go to the website’s homepage and select the “My Profile” option. You can also get your generated code by giving personal information such your date of birth and reference number. Please keep in mind that these codes are only valid for three days and nights; after that, you must register anew.

If the border health authorities have not yet screened, processed, and tagged you when you registered for eTravel, you can still amend certain information in the “Open My Profile” part of the website. This is true even if you have been screened, processed, and tagged previously.

Because of the strict nature of the quarantine laws, you will be unable to amend the information you have provided after you arrive. Your arrival date, address, and potentially some further information about yourself will be collected.

This article will assist those planning a trip to the Philippines. Before you begin arranging your travel itineraries, it’s critical that you understand the country’s entry requirements.

The eTravel platform has made booking your travel reservations easier than ever. With the updated registration process, you can now access the website from any web-capable device from anywhere. This new approach also makes it easier and simpler for passengers to maintain their accounts.

Never use a website other than etravel.gov.ph to register for a trip to the Philippines. This could lead to you being duped into supplying personal information and cash for the registration procedure, which should be absolutely FREE.

The new etravel.gov.ph website contains a wealth of information about visiting the Philippines. It’s also an excellent starting point for understanding about the country’s entry criteria.

We hope that you found this article helpful, and that by following proper travel guidelines, you can enjoy a safe and hassle-free visit to the Philippines. If it’s been quite some time since your last visit in the country, or if you know someone in the same situation, feel free to bookmark and share this post with them. Have a happy and safe trip!
