Luke Bryan's 10 Best Songs: Critic's Picks

The “sites” that Bryan speaks of are people’s actual farms — set in the heartland of America. The Farm Tour has been going on since 2009, and has been situated largely in the southeast, but this year, the singer says things were a little bit different.

“We spread it out through the years. We started out in the southeast, and this year, we worked our way to the Midwest,” he stated of the six-date run, which began in Lincoln, NE on Sept. 8, and wound up in Centralia, MO earlier this month. What makes a farm an ideal setting for the Farm Tour? “The main thing we look for is the accessibility for the fans, and how easy it is for them to get in and out. We also ask, ‘If it rains, are we going to have 3,000 vehicles bogged down in the mud?’ There’s a lot of criteria that we go through to try to make it go off without a hitch.”

For Bayer’s part in the Farm Tour, Ray Kerins, senior vice president of corporate affairs, says that they are honored to be working alongside of Bryan on the project. After all, the agricultural industry is an important part of their company’s profile, with a wide variety of products in the fields of health care and agriculture and their areas of application. “Since day one, this partnership has grown year after year,” Kerins says. “It’s been a great relationship, and we’re really proud of what we have built together.”

For Bryan fans who have never witnessed the Farm Tour experience, Kerins admits it’s hard to put into mere words. “There’s no way that I can describe the experience. We’ve used still stills and video both to try to show folks how the Farm Tour is, but until you’ve been there in person, it’s hard to describe. We tell folks ‘Picture this. We roll in during the morning at about sunrise. You’re rolling into cow pasture or a corn field, and the sun is about to come up. There’s a fog or a haze rolling across the field, and 12 hours later, there’s 20,000 people in that field.'”

Luke Bryan Fights the Elements, Wins the Crowds as 'Farm Tour' Rolls Into Alabama

“We came into it about three years ago, and one of the reasons that drew us to it was Luke’s commitment to recognizing the American farmer,” he recalls. “He grew up on a farm down in Georgia, and his dad is a peanut farmer. His commitment to the whole concept of the Farm Tour was about raising awareness of the American farmer. With a large agricultural division inside of our company, we had a similar want and need, and had a program already in place that was called Thankful For Ag. The purpose behind it was to raise an awareness of what the American farmer is doing for us. We put the two programs together, and it became a winning combination.”

Kerins says he is touched by Bryan’s genuine love for the people on the farms throughout the regions where they play the shows. “That’s one of the reasons that we have put so much dedication into it,” he offers. “We use the word celebration, but the whole idea of the Farm Tour is a way to thank the farmers for what they are doing. As someone who grew up on a farm, he gets it personally. He knows the challenges that farmers face in this country. Whether it be the cyclical nature of crops and how they grow, or regulations that are put on top of them, or it could be things like drought that mother nature just throws at us. Luke gets it and believes in it, which is why we are working with him.”

Luke Bryan Adds Adam Craig, Jon Langston & the Peach Pickers to Farm Tour 2017

The Farm Tour allows Bryan to pay tribute to his heritage. “My whole existence, and the reason that I’m in country music, was based on me being in an agricultural family,” said the singer. “It taught me everything I know about life, and my work ethic. It has shaped who I am. I took all those values, and I brought them to Nashville, and used that hard work to get my career off the ground. I still go back home and talk to my dad, and talk about how the business is going. It’s still very present, and very important in my life.”

What is it about the farming way of life that holds an appeal for the singer, who releases his sixth studio album, What Makes You Country , on Dec. 8? “I always loved the aspect of farming that at the end of the day, you could see what you had done that day. If you were working in a field, you started at one end of the field, and by the end of the day, you completed the job. The funny thing about the music business is that you could work for a year, and never know if you were going forward or backwards. It’s about putting in a good day’s work, and planting stuff, and watching it grow is pretty spiritual.”

Luke Bryan Reveals Farm Tour 2022 Dates

Luke Bryan is bringing his annual Farm Tour into its thirteenth year, announcing dates for the 2022 run on Friday (April 29). The country superstar will again partner with Bayer to visit six family farms for unique shows in September.

The Farm Tour 2022 will kick off Sept. 15 at Highland Farms in Monroeville, Ind., and it will run through Sept. 24 at Gar-Lin Dairy in Eyota, Minn. Bryan will also travel to Ohio, Michigan, Nebraska and Iowa on the tour. He will be joined by a large group of openers including Riley Green, Jameson Rodgers , the Peach Pickers and DJ Rock.

Not only does the Farm Tour bring a large-scale country concert to small communities, but it gives Bryan and fans the opportunity to thank farmers, which is something that is important to the singer, having grown up on a farm himself.

"I look forward to these shows every year mainly because of the meaning behind them and why it was important to me to start the Farm Tour thirteen years ago," Bryan shares in a press release. "It has allowed communities who don’t normally get a concert in their areas to experience a fun night in their backyard all while lifting up the American farmer. Small town and farming pretty much sum up my childhood. It is my way of life and I know it is a way of life for so many. It is truly the highlight of my year for me and my whole team."

Bryan and partnering sponsor Bayer will lift up farmers through the tour using their #HeresToTheFarmer social media campaign. Every time the hashtag is shared from June 1 through Oct. 31, Bayer will donate one meal to someone in need via Feeding America. The campaign aims to provide 1 million meals. Since the beginning of Bryan and Bayer's partnership, almost 5 million meals have been provided and more than $180,000 has been donated to Feeding America food banks and famers. Bryan will also continue to award scholarships to students from farming families.

Tickets for the Farm Tour 2022 go on sale Thursday, May 5, at 10AM local time on Bryan's website . Fan club members and Citi cardholders will have access to presale tickets starting May 2.

LUKE BRYAN IS PREPARING TO LAUNCH HIS 2023 FARM TOUR.

Luke Bryan kicks off his 14th FARM TOUR on Thursday (September 14th) at Mulberry Orchard in Shelbyville, Kentucky. The Georgia native will set up stages in the fields of local farms through September 23rd.

The five-time Entertainer of the Year keeps putting on his annual Farm Tour for several reasons, including giving out scholarships and helping people feed others.

“The beauty of Farm Tour is we’re out there on the farm. We’re helping people feed Americans. We’re giving out scholarships,” says Luke. “You’ve got 20,000 people piling into an alfalfa field, corn field, hay field, it doesn’t matter. It’s a field. But when you put that many people out there in the Fall where the temps are kinda getting a little cool at night, nothing is more special than Farm Tour and that’s why I keep doing it year after year.”

Continuing a partnership that began in 2015, Bayer, one of the world’s leading life sciences companies, is once again joining the tour as presenting sponsor and teaming up with Luke to help honor America’s farmers for providing us with access to critical health and nutrition through its #HerestotheFarmer campaign. The campaign supports Bayer’s vision of Health for All, Hunger for None and asks fans to join in by using #HerestotheFarmer on their social media channels now through November 30, 2023. As part of the initiative, Bayer will donate 1 million meals to people in need through Feeding America®. Since the partnership’s inception, 6 million meals have been donated and more than $180,000 has gone to Feeding America member food banks and local farmers at each of the tour cities.

Since 2009 when the Farm Tour began Luke has granted 78 college scholarships to students from farming families to their local college or university near the tour stops. Over the years event sponsors have donated money, food and resources to the local communities and also nationally. Last year alone Bayer provided one million meals to Feeding America ® , Farmland ®  donated a truckload of protein to local foodbanks in each of the states that hosted the tour and also donated $9,000 to each state’s FFA Association, and Fendt donated $25,000 to the national FFA organization.

Luke is knocking on the door of Top 10 on the country charts with his latest single, “But I Got A Beer In My Hand.”

TikTok video of fan at Zach Bryan concert in Canada goes viral, amassing over 10 million views

D uring a Zach Bryan concert earlier this week, one fan enjoyed the experience of a lifetime when the country music star invited him on stage to sing.

The concert at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, in Canada on Monday drew tens of thousands of country music fans.

"Before the concert, I was hoping to get on stage with him," Lucas Mason, 17, a local of St. Catharines, Ontario, told Fox News Digital. "I made a sign that said, "Darien Lake 2022, Lake Gardens 2023, can I play Heading South with you at Scotiabank 2024?"

Mason’s sign was hinting to Bryan that he had previously attended the "I Remember Everything" singer’s concerts and was vying for a chance to be invited on stage this time around. However, Mason’s sign was taken from him by security when he entered the venue. He believed the likelihood of a stage presence in front of thousands was now slim to none.

COUNTRY MUSIC STAR ZACH BRYAN ISSUES WRNING TO FANS AFTER KICKING WOMAN OUT OF HIS CONCERT

Despite his setback, Mason got creative once again and purchased a Bryan t-shirt at the venue. He removed his own white shirt and wrote a new message to Bryan which read, "Can I play Heading South??"

READ ON THE FOX NEWS APP

"I ruined the shirt, but it was really worth it," Mason said. "I was really trying to manifest it and tell myself that it was going to happen."

In the pit, Mason developed quick relationships with other concertgoers nearby in hopes that Bryan would notice a commotion.

"When I was in the pit, I was talking to everybody there," he said. "Everyone was really kind, and I’m like ‘Hey, guys, I’m really trying to get on stage. Can you help me out and point your flashlights at me?’"

And so the pit crowd did.

A video posted to the TikTok account @greatamericanbarscene showed the moment Bryan invited Mason on stage. It went viral and has garnered over 10 million views.

"Right before he sang the first verse, he noticed everyone yelling and pointing," Mason said. Bryan questioned whether Mason truly knew the lyrics to the original hit that is credited with kick-starting Bryan’s own country music success.

"I said, ‘I swear to God, I swear to God,’" Mason said.

After Mason hopped off the stage, he said everything felt like a blur.

"Walking out was insane," he said. "I was walking out of Scotiabank with a huge guitar, so everyone recognized me."

And the train ride home was no different. "Everyone was chanting, ‘Play your guitar,’" Mason said. "So, I played ‘Something in the Orange,’ ‘cause he didn’t play that, and I also played ’Revival' again."

Mason began guitar lessons around five years ago and only recently took up vocal lessons with a coach. He plays small gigs of around 50 audience members, which he feels is an exciting number of people. He hopes to release a single or an EP of his own original music sometime in the next few weeks.

"I haven’t spoken to him since," Mason said of Bryan. "I wish."
