Storm IQ Tour Nano Ball Review

storm iq tour nano solid

Layout: 45 degrees x 4 1/2" x 70 degrees

RG: 2.49"

Differential: .029"

Surface: 3000 grit sanded

Core shape: Symmetric

This one is an interesting update from one of the best selling series in the history of the Storm brand. The IQ Tour Nano combines the low rg, low differential IQ Centripetal Core with a pearl version of the Nano coverstock formulation. Typically solid covers are used on Nano coverstock balls, as the main idea is to get the ball rolling earlier in the heavier sections of lane oil. With the IQ Tour Nano, they've pearlized the Nano formula while leaving the surface 3000 grit sanded.

I drilled this one up with my standard pin down layout, and after I hit it with the first drill bit I thought I had made a mistake. I usually IQ series balls a little more aggressive than my normal stuff because the core differential is so low that they just don't flare very much. Track flare (the oil ring criss cross) helps create friction, thereby increasing hook. Without it, or with far less of it, hook decreases. Luckily the dull Nano cover helped me here and I actually ended up with outstanding ball motion.

This IQ Nano reads the lane significantly earlier than my original navy blue IQ. The strength of the cover here is easily identifiable against both the navy and the emerald IQ balls. IQ Nano has traction on fresh oil patterns and gives this series a ball that can be thrown "first out of the bag." The other IQs tend to be a little weaker, and are thereby outstanding when lanes begin to break down. But this one is going to be better when there's a little more oil on the lane.

I also noticed that this IQ seems to play the deeper inside lines a little better than the others. The others tend to be good in "middle zones" of the lane, usually between 2nd and 4th arrow. But they don't often have enough to turn the corner when thrown at steep angles to a breakpoint far away from the pocket. With the coverstock strength of the IQ Nano, you can pretty much send it wide and let it ride. It seems to be a better match up than other IQs have been from the far left zone of the lane.

Storm IQ Tour Nano

There’s a reason the IQ series balls have been some of the most dominant and best-selling balls ever — they strike the perfect balance between raw power, control and predictability. Building on that remarkable legacy, we’ve created the IQ Tour Nano. Matching up the IQ’s legendary, high-revving C3 Centripetal Control Core with our ultra-aggressive NRG solid reactive coverstock, we’ve developed a ball that will shred through the heaviest of oil conditions.

This is the ball you pull from your arsenal when you want strong mid-lane motion on lanes with very heavy oil. The exclusive nanotechnology of the NRG coverstock creates unprecedented traction through microscopic peaks and valleys that dig in and push through heavy oil to deliver the predictability and power that defines the entire IQ lineup.

Prepped to a 4000-grit surface, the IQ Tour Nano easily clears the front of the lane and bites in at just the right moment to deliver a high entry-angle and powerful drive through the pins.

The Storm IQ Tour Nano will be the strongest in the IQ line. It will give you a similar shape compared to a Storm Marvel-S or a Storm Crux . Both the Crux and Marvel-S will hook more than the IQ Tour Nano but the IQ Nano would be great for high rev players. Unless you need the early rolling shape but not the overall hook like a Crux, then the IQ Nano would come in to play. Look for control but not the overall dominant hooking ball when throwing the IQ Tour Nano.

Storm IQ Tour Nano

The IQ TOUR line has been a mixed bag for me: the SOLID was not very good for me, the PEARL is one of my all-time favorites, and the FUSION was sometimes great and sometimes not.

The key seemed to be how C3 Centripetal  core  (a symmetrical) and cover worked together — the R2S Solid of the IQ TOUR SOLID was not a good match for me, as I noted in my review  here , while the R2s Pearl of the IQ TOUR PEARL was a great match for my moderate speed and revs.

It’s always fascinated me that two of the most popular and successful Storm balls of all time — the HY-ROAD and IQ TOUR SOLID — just didn’t do much for me, despite numerous  surface  tweaks and re-drillings.

I always tell people that different balls work for different people because everyone throws it differently. And I always point to my experiences with those two mega-successful balls as perfect evidence.

Meanwhile, the VIRTUAL GRAVITY NANO was a ball I had some great success with, most notably in the last two games of our winning team event at the 2011 USBC Open Championships.

But, of course, that very strong NRG solid cover with the very strong asymmetrical Shape-Lock HD  core  made it a ball suitable only for heavy oil for me.While I hoped for a more versatile version of the NANO at some point, the NANO PEARL wasn’t it for me — it was one of the toughest balls for me to throw, though I know some people who had success with it. It was just a solid 9/weak 10 ball for me, somewhat akin to the IQ TOUR SOLID.

When I heard the IQ TOUR NANO was coming out with the marriage of the NRG solid cover and the C3 Centripetal  core  I was intrigued, but not overly excited.

After roughly a month of use, I would describe myself as excited, or at least extremely satisfied, with the IQ TOUR NANO: It appears to be the perfect marriage of cover and  core  for me.

We know that coverstock is by far the most important factor in ball reaction, so I knew the IQ TOUR NANO would mostly be an oil ball for me.

What has more than pleasantly surprised me is that the C3 Centripetal core has given me what I wanted when the original VG NANO came out: a more versatile version of that ball that I could use on more than heavy oil that wasn’t too broken down.

At the WSBT Over 40/Under 40 Doubles on Thanksgiving weekend, I used my IQ TOUR NANO the entire day on a lane pattern a little softer than a Sport pattern, other than the couple of shots with the OPTIMUS and a couple of trial shots with a Storm CRUX.

I won the tournament with Andy Mills – details are in my blog here .

And the first weekend of December, I bowled the GIBA/SSBT Over 50/50 4-Man and Doubles tournament at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo, Iowa and struck a ton all weekend on the wet-dry house shot using the IQ TOUR NANO more than 90 percent of the time.

Over the two weekends, I played from around 10-board at the arrows to nearly 25-board at the arrows, with both fairly direct angles and opening up the lane (by my geezer standards).

In all cases it rolled strong but smooth, rarely squirting in the oil, but not jumping off the end of the oil line either. The only way shots squirted for me is if I got it in AND missed it, and the only way they jumped high is if I got it right very early.

And this was on a pattern PBA Tour champion Tom Hess, who I bowled with, struggled mightily with over/under reaction all weekend.

When I threw it well, my carry was outstanding both weekends.

This is exactly the kind of ball motion I need at age 52, with ball speed of maybe 17 miles per hour and a rev rate probably under 300.

I drilled my IQ TOUR NANO basically the same as my Roto Grip HYPER CELL, with the pin fairly high above the fingers and a strong drilling angle of 60 degrees.

My re-measured PAP numbers are 4 inches over and 5/8 up, and my IQ TOUR NANO ended up 4 1/4 pin to PAP, 3 3/8 MB to PAP, and 2 1/4 pin buffer.

I left the 4,000-grit cover untouched for the Over 40/Under 40 weekend and it lane shined plenty in nine games, but that actually worked well because the lanes also were breaking down.

For the 50/50 weekend, I used a Turbo Sandbagger with a 1,500- and then a 2,500-grit pad before both days. That gave me plenty of grab in the heavy oil of the house pattern, but no issues with early hook.

Compared to Storm’s other recent release, the CRUX, the IQ TOUR NANO is much smoother in motion, which is much better for me. The CRUX I would definitely call stronger and absolutely more angular than the IQ TOUR NANO. My CRUX review is here .

That will make the CRUX better for some than the IQ TOUR NANO … and there definitely will be times when I go with the CRUX over the IQ TOUR NANO. But there is no doubt in my mind that the IQ TOUR NANO is going to get far more use for me than the CRUX and probably will be my go-to starting benchmark ball on all but low-oil conditions for the foreseeable future.

I also compared the NANO to the Roto Grip SINISTER, a strong asymmetrical as the CRUX is, and would estimate that the IQ TOUR NANO hooks maybe 3 boards more than the SINISTER, again with a smoother motion. It may not be quite 3 boards different as my SINISTER cover was not as rough as the IQ TOUR NANO, but I definitely think it’s a little stronger — and it absolutely is a smoother motion.

Did I say how much I like powerful balls with smooth, controllable motion?

If you’re a young pup with high ball speed, or you just want to see the ball make a big motion on the back, you will want the CRUX over the IQ TOUR NANO. But if you’re at all like me and prefer your power to come with some control, I’d recommend the IQ TOUR NANO.

The CRUX is a good ball to have in your arsenal as it makes a move the IQ TOUR NANO can’t match, but I think the IQ TOUR NANO will get more use.

I can almost guarantee you I will be drilling a low pin IQ TOUR NANO before the 2015 USBC Open Championships.

Storm IQ Tour Nano Pearl Bowling Ball Features :

The IQ Tour Nano Pearl is the next pairing of the C3 Centripetal Control Core with a proven coverstock from the Storm library. The NRG Pearl cover was used previously on the Virtual Gravity Nano Pearl, while this symmetrical core was used most recently in the  IQ Tour Emerald . The IQ Tour Nano Pearl comes out of the box sanded at 3000 Abralon, allowing it to start up strongly in the midlane. The pairing of the smoother coverstock and lower flaring core design offers a tremendous combination of control and power.

We’re just like you. We’ve never been more excited about the game’s latest equipment. We can’t wait to toss every core, cover, and finish to create something unique to its own. The !Q Tour Nano Pearl is one of those balls that made it through our rigorous scrutiny that’ll be a game-changer for you. We know it. We tried it. We’re just like you.

Workable and forgiving, the C3 Centripetal Control Core is a design that revs up quickly, providing a smoother change of direction downlane. This shape is beneficial for players requiring control at the breakpoint. Used only in the !Q Tour series of balls, this core is precisely designed and manufactured using proprietary technology.

With the cover that was first introduced on the Virtual Gravity Nano, NRG nanotechnology is essentially manufacturing with atoms. It gives bowlers increased oil traction due to the micro-dynamic enhancements of the surface.

Specs The Storm IQ Tour Nano Pearl Bowling Ball uses the C3 Centripetal Core (symmetrical) inside the NRG Pearl coverstock.

15 pound = RG of 2.49, diff of .029 Coverstock finish: 3000 grit abralon

Category I would consider this ball in the mid control category.

Overall I must admit my first impression is a bit of a cop out. The world is almost certain to love the IQ Tour Nano Pearl, at least anyone who’s liked it before. The C3 Centripetal Core works for many people. Low diff excellent control. I always thought that it would be a great ball for me as a lefty but with the IQ Tour solid, it was more of a pocket control but mediocre carry. With the Nano Pearl, initially I saw a couple of flat 7s and thought oh here we go. But then some better execution and I saw stronger motion and good drive. The biggest issue I had was the cover in 3000 abralon seems simply too strong for this house pattern which forces me in while at the same time, this isn’t a loop the lane type core. Nevertheless it surprised me with more backend capabilities than I was expecting. This house shot is playing a bit reverse blocked so if you get outside downlane, you have no chance to get back to the headpin but it hooks a ton from inside. Feed into the friction a touch and I mean a touch too early and I’m through the face. Try to push it through and it doesn’t make the headpin.

Rather than focus on the pattern, I want to focus on the ball itself. I do like the shape the Centripetal core creates on lane and always have. This is a case where I actually want to take this surface up to make it work properly on this shot. My frustration was that I had to throw it too good to get results on the house shot. So I had to make a second trip to see it again on a sport shot.

The IQ Tour Nano Pearl is smooth yet has some boominess downlane. It responds to friction smoothly but pretty strongly. I typically find balls with weaker cores and strong covers not matching my game but this match up didn’t feel terrible for me as the core doesn’t puke downlane.

For Bryan, he saw the same thing. Initially he was going through the face and if projecting right, it doesn’t recover. Once he realized this ball was reading way earlier than the Parallax and Trend we tested, he paralleled everything in going about 14 to 11. The ball created a nice arcing shape which is what you expect from this ball. The “too much surface, too weak a core” syndrome is exacerbated with Bryan’s game. So giving away the pocket was a no-no. He benefited a bit from some shim in but out was a no-go, especially with this much surface out of box.

Sport Shot For the Sport shot, I tested on the Kegel Arsenic pattern, a 41ft a 1.3:1 25.79ml pattern. I have to admit this is one tricky pattern, kind of like Red Square in many regards. I started out with more confusion than solutions. The pattern is not one conducive to direct play. It requires some angle but the breakpoint at the edge is extremely difficult to maintain. If you play it too close say you need 8 and hit 7.5, you are leaving a (3-7-9) 2-8-10. Miss to 10 and you’re brooklyn. So this is a pattern I feel fall back can be very effective. You want to take advantage of the backend motion while moving away from the absolute cliff. I thought I would struggle mightily after the first bunch of shots but once I started getting to the 4th arrow to 10, the shot was great. I could move in 3-2 every few balls and even with my rev rate get a pretty good look. Not to forget that I can still leave corners, the IQ Tour Nano Pearl reminded me with rap 7 and flat pocket 7-10. At the end, you give up the more aggressive movement in favor of consistency and that is key on tougher patterns many times.

Final Thoughts Where are we with the Storm IQ Tour Nano Pearl? If you have loved this series and have been looking for the return of the IQ Tour Nano, this is darn near close enough. The ball will not surprise and it’s sure to be successful. To those that loved this series, they will get all the benefits they’ve previously seen. Great control, smooth but arcing motion. High rev bowlers and those bowling on sport shots need a ball like this in their bag. If you were plagued by certain limitations from this series, you are likely to still see some of that. So pocket control but some flat corners are still there, albeit a bit less than what I’ve experienced with say the IQ Tour. For my game, I tend to lean towards bigger cores with weaker covers for control vs the opposite which is the case with the IQTNP. However, I always wished I held onto the IQ Tour Nano as it was a bit different and this is my chance.

Here to talk a little about my IQ tour nano Pearl, what can I say another great release and great step up for the original iq tour.First thoughts when I threw this bowling ball for the first time was wow very close to the original one but a little earlier motion and control ball reaction down lane.i did hit the ball with fresh 2000 pad just cause I found ball was little skidy at times with the original 3000 ab finish. You can tell with the nano cover it helps a lot ,for sure a ball in my bag every where I go great for patterns that are fresh and great ball to control backend reaction.I really like the colour choice for this ball black pear, but looks little more grey in pics, still I thing a ball every bowler could use in there bag.

Layout: 30 x 4 1/8 x 45 The Storm IQ Tour Nano Pearl is a very versatile ball that has a unique ball motion within the Storm line. It has a ton of midlane roll that is very continuous downlane, and harkens back to the particle pearl type bowling balls of the past. I used a stronger layout on this ball than I normally do, which helped to make this a ball that is better used on fresh medium-medium heavy oil patterns for me personally, in the box finish. It has enough push through the fronts to still be good on medium oil, but I find that it has too much midlane traction to be used on lighter conditions. Bowling balls such as the Electrify line or the Trend are great companion pieces to this IQ - Mike LeViner.

The IQ Tour Nano Pearl is a great compliment to the IQ line. This version gets down lane a little easier with more backend than the original IQ Tour, making it, for me, more suitable for house shots than the IQ Tour. When comparing the two, I am normally about 3 boards with my feet left with the IQ TNP compared to the IQ Tour. The Pearl cover stock does its job on getting the ball down the lane and a little more responsive at the breakpoint while to 3000 finish makes sure it still reads the mid-lane just right. In my bag, it fits perfectly after the RG Wildstreak and before I go to a polished pearl. PAP - 4-3/8 Right & 3/8 Up RMP - around 300 Speed - 14-15 mph

What can I say other than it's the great qualities that the IQ series gives you. The Nano Pearl isn't as far down lane as the Emerald but still gives incredible length. Drilled mine 4×3x2 and hit it with 1000 abralon so o could blend out the lane in the middle of the tournament blocks when the bigger balls are too early. IQ Nano Pearl is a great addition to any tournament bag or even a great ball to just use on your typical house shot.

Storm IQ Tour Nano Pearl Cover: Nano Pearl Reactive Core: C3 Centripetal Control Core Layout: 60 x 5.5 x 70 I find the IQ series of balls to be pretty strong. I like this longer pin down layout on the IQ series to kind of calm them down a bit. The shape is pretty familiar to IQ Tours I have drilled but the Nano Pearl is a bit earlier and smoother out of the box. You just can't go wrong with the IQ line of balls if you are looking for a ball to cover a variety of patterns. They look good with lane shine, surface, and polish depending on your style of play. The new ball in one the best lines in the marker today is the Storm IQ Tour Nano Pearl. Storm took a very successful core in the Centripetal Core and put Nano Peal Reactive coverstock on it. Even with the lower diff core of .029 with the nano pearl cover the IQ can handle more oil up front. I have drilled a couple for my shop customers. I added a little Storm Step 2 and the results were impressive. It gave him a little more hold and smooth backend reaction. The carry with the IQ Nano Pearl is amazing. Definitely stronger than the Original IQ solid and Emerald. IQ Tour Nano Pearl great benchmark ball for anyone's arsenal. If your looking for control and consistency this is the ball for you! The !Q Tour Nano Pearl takes some familiar words from the Storm lexicon and makes them into a new release that looks great and rolls even better. It feels unmistakably like an !Q with the same control and predictability that we've come to expect... but somehow provides a bit more traction in oil PLUS more downlane motion when compared to an !Q Tour Solid. If your Phaze II or Axiom feels close but you need something to not flare as much but still punch downlane, the !QTNP is going to fit in VERY well as a middle-of-the-bag type of option. Get yours today!

A similar reaction for me to the original solid. The newer stronger cover allows me to use it on tighter conditions while still getting the unbelievable reaction of the solid. It's great out of the box. It gets better with a little oil in the cover.

Storm IQ Tour Nano Pearl 3000 Nano™ Pearl Reactive Weight Block C3™ Centripetal Control Core The Tour Nano Pearl is the newest addition to the IQ nameplate, adding to the combo of the Tour Solid and Emerald. The Nano Pearl plays stronger than the Solid. I get a few more boards of overall strength from the Nano Pearl. It is nice to see a stronger option with the versatility of the IQ ball motion. Now I can open up a new angle with an IQ, getting more left knowing it will get down lane enough and still be strong enough to make it back. This is great for me playing on a heavier house shot my league uses. If you like the Emerald and would like a nice step up in strength, polish up a Tour Nano Pearl and you are set.

For the latest IQ release, Storm combines the highly successful Centripetal Core with the Nano Pearl coverstock. The Nano cover on this IQ makes this ball a better option for me on the tighter lane conditions than the original IQ Tour. The overall ball motion is very similar to the original IQ Tour, however this version digs in a little sooner and has a stronger backend ball motion than the original. For me, the Nano pearl version does not lane shine as quick as the original. Just as the original IQ, this ball is a must have for the tournament bowler facing those tough oil patterns where you just need a ball that will keep you around the pocket. It is also a must have for the league bowler looking to blend out the typical wet/dry house shot.

Had a chance to get back on the lane's and try the latest addition to the IQ line. Very smooth and a great fit between the IQ Solid and Emerald. With my loft the box surface really helps me when the Emerald pushes too long for me. I would recommend this ball for league or tournament and it'll be one of the first balls out of my bag!

The August addition to Storm's Master Line was the !Q Tour Nano Pearl. The !Q Tour Nano Pearl uses the Centripetal Control Core and is surrounded by the Nano Pearl Reactive Cover Stock. The combination produces powerful control throughout the lane. I was surprised by how early the Nano Pearl wanted to start to hook but did not stop hooking very continuous and controllable. The motion was very similar to the !Q Tour but stronger and more aggressive at the break point. The layout that I used was pin over the ring finger with cg kicked slightly out or 5 X 5 X 2.5 or 65 X 5 X 45 which is based off my axis point of 5 5/8 over and ¾ up. The !Q Tour Nano Pearl is a very versatile bowling ball and will handle most medium oil patterns. It does not have that drastic boomerang backend motion but the backend is consistent and powerful. The reason I went with this layout was to be able to play closer to the dry and play the oil line. I under estimated how aggressive the !Q Tour Nano Pearl was in the mid lane and this was not going to work. It was not all bad because my ball speed is a touch slower and slow hooking became a very good option. The !Q Tour Nano Pearl allowed me to open up the lane with moderate launch angles and had no issues or over under. The !Q Tour Nano Pearl is a great compliment to the already stellar Master Line by Storm.

Ball Specs: Storm IQ Tour Nano Pearl Nano Pearl Reactive 3000 Grit Sanded C3 Core Layout 55 x 4-3/8 x 40 Bowler Specs: Right Hand. PAP 5" Over 1/2 up Rev Rate 300. Tilt 20. Rotation 50. Speed at release 17 Review: This is probably my favorite IQ ball. The Nano covers always read the lane very well for me. I liked the Match up Black Pearl with its sanded finish and this IQ Tour Nano Pearl Sanded to 3000 is an upgrade. The IQ line seems to have a predicable motion and control at the break point. Even though The IQ Nano Pearl is not hockey stick angular it has a nice back end motion and hit. We have drilled many of these now and it works well for all styles of play. The ball also polishes nicely giving it more length while maintaining control. The polish also brings out the underlying good looks of the color. I have used this ball on multiple patterns over 4 houses and it was easy to line up no matter the differences in the shot. I would consider the IQ Tour Nano Pearl to be a strong benchmark ball. This ball will be a nice addition to any arsenal. The IQ Nano Pearl fits between my All Road and Axiom in total boards and hook. The motion also seems to split the difference of those also. So far I am really enjoying this ball! Summary: The IQ Tour Nano Pearl rolls great on many conditions. The Sanded Pearl finish makes it a unique ball. The control and carry is top notch. I am so glad I decided to get this ball as it is absolutely amazing. This ball is a great addition to the IQ line up. This ball is very smooth and has a punch on the back ends. The IQ Nano Pearl will definitely be a ball I take to league and tournaments with me. I am able to move my feet left as the night goes on and this ball still has that punch on the back end. With where I live we do not have much play on the lanes during league at the moment as we are only allowed 4 to a pair. I have not come across too much transition during league but there is some dependent upon where the others are playing the lanes compared to me. This ball lately has been the first ball out of my bag on league night. It gives me just what I am looking for at the start of the night. For the first three nights of league I have been using this ball for the first 2 ½ to 3 games. Then once there is a little bit of transition I can move my feet left or might have to change balls depending upon where others are playing the lanes. I have been having wrist issues and just did a fit change. I do not feel like my rev rate is where is what with adjusting to my fit, but regardless of my rev rate this ball still give me that punch on the bank end. I have been bowling in a sport shot league on Sunday afternoon. We are two weeks in and have been bowling on the 2011 US Women's Open pattern. This ball has been the first ball out of my bag during that league as well. It gives me just what I need those first couple of games before maybe having to make a ball change. I have not bowling in any tournaments yet this season but I cannot wait to see what this ball gives me in tournaments at other houses. Sabrina Groves Storm Amateur Staff

I drilled my !Q TOUR NANO PEARL (ITNP) with a slight variation of my normal go to layout of 55 x 4.5 x 30. I hit the box surface with a 2000 abr pad and have smoothed it back up to 4000. I also drilled a 2nd one to play with a "short pin" layout with specs of 90 x 2.25 x 45. I have left this one at box finish to see what the buzz about short pins are. The ITNP is a great extension of the !Q series. The !Q line is typically marketed as control pieces with versatility available in the covers, tunability with surface adjustments, and lower powered cores that preserve energy at the pins. The ITNP fits right into those statements as Storm keeps hitting home runs with there recent releases. I put my ITNP up against my IQ TOUR SOLID and IQ TOUR EMERALD. As expected the IQ SOLID was just a bit earlier than the ITNP and EMERALD. If I hit the ITNP with 2000, it was right on par with the SOLID and maybe just a bit more on the back than the SOLID. I went back to 4000 on the ITNP to give it some separation from the SOLID !Q. The EMERALD was a perfect step down from both of these balls as it got thru the burn spot effortlessly and still had a similar shape. The ITNP "short pin" has a place all of it's own and will be a niche ball for me. I used it on a 37' pattern on a surface that has friction near the edge. This "short pin" was smaller hook but still good hitting power. I will give the "short pin" ITNP a try to control the early hook of short patterns until the lanes carry down some and I need to open my target. Perfect time to break out the other ITNP and work it until the EMERALD is eventually in play! Put this one if you liked the !Q series and don't be afraid to try the short pin layout once in awhile for smaller hook/control on tougher patterns where keeping it in front of you is a good play until the lanes develop.

Spec: C3 Centripetal Control Core: Nano Pearl Reactive cover stock : RG 2.54 and diff .034 (14lb.) 3000 grit factory finish. Layout I used: 30 x 3 1/2 x 35 Findings: The !Q Tour Nano Pearl did not disappoint me at all, having legendary C3 core and having the Nano Pearl cover added to it was a match made in "Strike Heaven". The core allows it to rev up quickly, but the cover allows it to go a little bit longer download but without producing the normal pearl "hockey stick" reaction on the back end of the lane. Very usable on wood lanes. synthetic lanes like SPL and HPL. Used the ball on all three types of lanes and 3 various house patterns and found the !Q Tour Nano Pearl to be the best all around ball for the conditions in all three centers. Benchmark ball for all levels of bowlers.

How can you not love an IQ?! The IQ Nano Pearl (IQNP) filled a gap in my bag perfectly. I drilled mine 4.5x5x4 which put the pin under my ring finger. I love slower response symmetrical balls, but sometimes it's hard to find the right ball to switch to when the front of the lane starts to hook too much but you still need a slower shape. Well, THAT is where the IQNP is perfect! The Nano pearl cover really does a great job getting length but still has that grippy texture, so you get length, but the ball still slows down. I think the IQNP should be in every tournament bowler's bag. This ball is special!

Introducing the IQ Tour Nano Pearl! The IQ Tour Nano Pearl features the Nano Pearl reactive cover stock wrapped around the Centripetal Control Core. This ball is very versatile and, has a smooth motion. This will allow all different style players to throw this ball and, have success. I fell in love with this ball the very first time I threw it and, shot 805 (247-279-279) my first 3 games out of the box. This ball compared to my IQ Tour Solid is much smoother and, more controllable with a more continuous motion down lane. The IQ Tour Nano Pearl to me is another benchmark ball that Storm created that can be used on multiple oil patterns successfully

When you put IQ on the ball the expectations are normally high. This ball stacks up as the strongest of the 3 and gives bowlers a little extra that the og iq tour doesn't have. The nano technology makes this ball 5-7 boards more then the original tour and can make it a game 1 ball! Go to your local pro shop for this bad boy.

When you say IQ, everyone is going to pay attention. One of the best balls in the business and been around for a long time. As most people have a IQ TOUR or more than one, now you have a great compliment. The Nano cover gives this ball a but more punch still maintaining the consistency. The IQ Tour Nano Pearl has mutiple traits of smoothness, arcing and now with the added punch at the end. There is no quit in this ball. It felt as if I could find the pocket from anywhere on the lane. I have drilled mine 50 x 4 1/4" x 45 which gives it a medium flare and great arcing motion. Storm has had some great benchmark balls and must have balls for tournaments and travel, and this is another one to add to the list. This ball allows you to keep your lines tighter if needed or open up the lane and have no quit. Regardless how you drill this ball you will like it. Awesome ball which will stay around for a long time. Order yours now, you wont be disappointed!

The next great !Q Tour bowling ball! If you enjoyed any of the past !Qs then you will really enjoy this one.. Mine is drilled 4 1/2 inches away from my PAP. The pin is right above the bridge. For me, this ball fits perfectly right in between the OG !Q Tour and the !Q Tour Emerald. If the OG !Q Tour starts to burn up a little bit, or just isnt turning the corner, then throw the new !Q Tour Nano Pearl! It will get down the lane more, and turn the corner when you need it to. It's not super flippy on the backend, it's nice and controllable, but it still has that much needed power. Also, for me, if the Emerald is too flippy on the backend, then I can go to the !Q Tour Nano Pearl. It will be a tad sooner than the Emerald, and a little less flippy. I would highly recommend checking out this ball. It's very versatile, and you will be able to throw it on multiple different patterns!

Hey everyone, this is storm staff member Josh Shoemaker here with another ball review for the IQ tour nano pearl. As always, I would like to thank storm for providing the equipment I use every time I step out onto the lanes and logo infusion for making sure I always look good no matter what! Today I will be bowling on a pretty standard medium volume 44' house shot. The IQ tour nano pearl featured the proven C3 centripetal core found in all the previous IQ tour balls, but is now wrapped in a pearlized nano cover. Although this ball does have pearlized additives in the cover, is it far from your typical quick response ball. Many people have asked me what I compare it to and I have told them imagine you're back in 2012 and just drilled your first IQ Tour. The nano additives in this version increase the overall traction and slow down the response time of standard R2S solid providing a very similar reaction to 2012 on today's heavier oils. This produces an extremely user friendly, super controlled benchmark reaction that any league or tournament bowler will love. When compared to the IQ tour emerald, the IQ tour nano pearl is a zone earlier and much slower to respond to friction downlane. The IQ tour nano pearl is now available for purchase at any storm VIP pro shop today! Review Video: https://youtu.be/zqYbY-xna_Y

Drillings 70x5.5x40 and 55x5.5x55 rev rate 450 ball speed 17 PAP 3 ¾ right 1 up So I love the IQ series and I decided I needed a pin up and pin down option. Using the same layouts I used on tour solid and iq tour emerald for the new Nano tour pearl is a beast! In the pin down I see just as much midlane roll with about 3 boards more hook downlane out of the nano tour pearl than the tour solid with the same drilling and for the pin up I see about 4-5 more boards overall hook and much better midlane out of the nano tour pearl than the emerald pearl. Now against each other the pin down is just the berries starting its motion about 3 or so feet sooner than the pin up but overall the difference is mostly in the mids. Both layouts are strong through the pins and handle medium oil very well, I keep my nano tour pearls at 3k instead of the box finish!
