Midnight Voyage

Pat McGrath Mini Eye Shadow Palette Midnight Voyage  ($29.00 for oz.) is a new, limited edition mini palette–truly, quite small–that included six shades. Five of them were released previously across various palettes, while one is new; I found that the deepest matte did not have the same color/tone as the original iteration and classified it as “#2” for this reason. While the quality was there and consistent with the brand overall, the price point felt oddly high given how petite the palette was. I think if this was sold at $15 to $18, it would be more compelling.

Night Creature

Night Creature  is a brighter, medium purple with warm, pink undertones and flecks of lavender and violet sparkle throughout. This shade, in its original release, felt a little drier and rougher compared to most of the brand’s shimmers, which was true in the version found in the palette (so it was consistent).

Divine glow.

Divine glow, a light gold shade, has a shimmering finish.  This shade is perfect for highlighting your brow bone, and the inner corners of your eyes.  Also, pres this shimmering veil of color onto the center of your eyelids.

Entrapment, a medium-dark brown shade, has a matte finish.  Wear this shade to contour your eyes, add depth and structure.  Also, you can use this shade wet or dry for eyeliner.

Bronze Venus

Bronze venus, the newbie shade in the palette, a copper- bronze shade, has a molten metallic finish.  Add this shade to your eyelids, lash line, outer corners, or wear it on your entire eye.

Bottom Row (Left to Right)

Xtreme aubergine.

X-treme Aubergine, a a very dark purple shade, has a matte finish.  Wear this shade to sculpt your crease, socket, and outer corner V of your eyes.  Also, where this very dark purple shade to line your lash line.

Eleganza, a luminous platinum rose shade has a shimmer finish.  Wear this all over your eyelids, to create a soft, smoky eye.

Night Creature

Finally, I am really impressed with this curated palette that has structure building essentials. gorgeous matte, metallic and shimmer finishes, and has the potential to create many different looks, for day and nighttime glamour.  Pat never disappoints!  And, the price point makes Pat McGrath’s famous formula, and bold pigmented shades, more accessible to you.  Plus, you will get a lot of use with this palette.  Take it with you when you go on vacation!
