The easiest way to get from Zurich to Mount Titlis to get the most out of your trip is to join a guided tour , as these usually combine all the major activities in the area into a full day — tickets and equipment rental included — where you can skip the lines and get right into the action.

For independent travelers, the train offers great views and a chance to experience a different side of Switzerland. By car is another alternative.

1. From Zurich to Mount Titlis by Tour Bus

There are no public buses you can take to get you to Mount Titlis, so if you want to reach the mountain on a bus, you'll have to find a tour one. A good option is the Mount Titlis Snow Experience Day from Zurich tour, which lets you experience the best of the mountain and spend a day playing in the snow before you head back to Zurich.

The tour departs at 9:30 from the Sihlquai Bus Terminal in Zurich, where an air-conditioned vehicle with a multilingual guide will pick you up for a nine-hour adventure, including the best of the Mount Titlis and the lakes around it.

The first few minutes of the drive take you through the streets of Zurich, where you'll see the Albis Pass mountain pass and drive along the shores of Lake Lucerne, also known as the Lake of the Four Cantons because of the four sharp bends that define its shape.

Here, you'll stop at Lake Lucerne for a photo opportunity. Lake Lucerne is surrounded by steep mountains and has soft greenish-blue waters. After your guide points out some of the most important landmarks around —including the covered wooden Chapel Bridge and the 17 th -century Baroque Jesuit Church — you'll have an hour to discover the Old Town center and the beautiful shoreline before you continue on to the next stop.

Your next stop is Lake Trubsee , accessed by an aerial cable car. Here, you'll spend 60 minutes playing in the snow — borrow skis to slide down the mountain or grab a snow tube for some easier fun if you can't ski.

After an hour of fun, you'll be on your way again to take the TITLIS Rotair, the world's first revolving cable car , to the top of Mount Titlis. During the five-minute-long ascent, the cable car rotates a full 360 degrees, allowing all-around panoramic views over the snow-covered peaks before you reach the summit station, over 3,000 meters above sea level.

Take in the impressive mountain views for 60 minutes before you take the cable back down. After this, your driver will take you back to the original departure point in Zurich.

2. From Zurich to Mount Titlis By Train

If you're traveling on your own, the best way to reach Mount Titlis is by train. The journey takes just under two hours and offers some stunning views along the way — lakes and waterways, snow-kissed mountain peaks, and charming little mountain villages all make for great photo opportunities.

Trains depart from Zürich Hauptbahnhof station every hour starting at 6am. You'll need to catch the Zentralbahn train and get off at the Lucerne station 45 minutes later. Here, find the train to Engelberg, which leaves every hour on the hour.

The one-hour journey from here to Mount Titlis offers awe-inspiring landscapes of vast mountain ranges, picturesque flowering valleys, and some of the country's most dramatic scenery.

Once you arrive at the station, you can catch Bus No.1 right outside. It's a free shuttle that will bring you right to TITLIS valley station, at the foot of the mountain. On a nice day, walking the route is a better option — it's just 10 minutes away on foot, and you'll get to breathe the clean mountain air and snap some shots along the way.

Tip: Leave from Zurich early in the morning to enjoy a full day on Mount Titlis. With so many things to see and do on the mountain and almost four hours spent just on transportation, an early morning train is the only way to truly make the most of your visit to Mount Titlis.

Another reason to allow several hours on the mountain is that foggy, cloudy days don't allow for great visibility of the stunning surroundings — and the longer you spend on the mountain, the higher the chances the weather will clear up even on an overcast day.

3. From Zurich to Mount Titlis by Car

If you're up for the adventure of exploring completely on your own, you can rent a car at Zurich airport and find your way to Engelberg and then to Mount Titlis.

The fastest route between the two points is via highway A4/A2 . There's 91 kilometers between Zurich and Mount Titlis – about one hour and 15 minutes driving in good traffic conditions. You will need a GPS for this route, as there are plenty of name changes, half exits, and turns along the way, and it's not very clear which one gets you to your destination.

On the way, you'll cross Lake Lucerne, which has plenty of public parking spaces available — including a large one at the railway station — so you can stop at any point for some great photo opportunities. This is also a great stop for an early lunch or dinner on your way back to the car.

The pleasant drive gets a little tricky in the second half, as winding, icy mountain roads can be difficult to maneuver in winter. The breathtaking views along the way more than make up for it — but the roads are often narrow once you're driving up the mountains, so no stopping for pics here. If you're arriving in winter, make sure you have some experience driving in icy winter conditions before renting a car.

Once you reach Engelberg, you must park your car at the TITLIS valley station (parking is per day, not per hour, and costs double in winter) and continue the rest of the way up the mountain using a cable lift — cars are not allowed at the foot of the mountain, and much of the center of town is pedestrian-only, so be ready to explore on foot.

How to get to Mount Titlis

From engelberg to mount titlis.

From the valley town Engelberg you can take a gondola up to the gondola station “Stand”. On the way there is the middle station Trübsee, where there are restaurants, in winter a snow park and many summer activities. From the Stand station, a rotating gondola continues to the Titlis top station, where a wide variety of offers await visitors. The ride itself is a highlight thanks to the rotating gondola. During the total of 30 minutes, you have a view of the peaks of the surrounding mountains and get a taste of the fairytale panoramic view that awaits you on Mount Titlis.

By car to Engelberg

Engelberg is very easy to reach by car. From Lucerne it is only about half an hour on the highway E35/A2 in the direction of the Gotthard Pass. From exit 33 Stans-Süd you drive about 20 km along a well signposted road southwards to Engelsberg.

The first 10 km of the road run through a flat valley, on the second half a few hairpin bends await you. Note that snow chains are mandatory in case of heavy snowfall or possible snowstorms. Nevertheless, the road is secured and well passable.

After arriving in the beautiful alpine town of Engelberg, you can use clearly visible signs to find your way to the Titlis valley station.

By train to Engelberg

The only way to reach Engelberg by train is from the beautiful city of Lucerne and can therefore be wonderfully combined with a stay in the port city.

Trains depart from Lucerne to Engelberg every hour, and the journey takes just under three quarters of an hour. Arriving by train allows visitors to admire the landscape between Lucerne and Engelberg more closely already from the ground, which is a good contrast to the later view from the bird’s eye view.

Once you arrive at the train station in Engelberg, you can either take the ten-minute walk to the valley station or catch one of the shuttle buses available during the high season and on weekends, and take the gondola up from the valley station.

Through ice up to 5,000 years old, turquoise-lit passages lead up to ten meters below the surface of the glacier. The grotto is a total of 150 meters long, and the temperature is a constant 1.5 degrees Celsius.

The glacier grotto is easily accessible from the mountain station and can be visited all year round. So even in the hottest temperatures in the valley on Mount Titlis, you can literally walk through the ice. Fortunately, admission is free of charge and fun for the whole family.

Titlis Cliff Walk

Visitors can expect special thrills together with breathtaking panoramic views on the Titlis Cliff Walk. Over 100 meters, the suspension bridge takes travelers 500 meters above the eternal ice. At 3041 meters above sea level, the Cliff Walk bridge is also known as the highest suspension bridge in Europe. Admission is also free and available all year round.

From here, visitors have unparalleled views of the Titlis Glacier and distant landscapes. The Ice Flyer is a chairlift that takes guests to the Titlis Glacier Park in summer and sports enthusiasts up to the snowy slopes in winter.

Again, breathtaking views await visitors with a bit of adrenaline as you fly over the glacier at high altitude. Over frosty snowfields and ice-blue depths, the Ice Flyer carries its guests as gently as a snowflake. From here you can marvel at the crevasses that are up to 20 meters deep.

The Ice Flyer is open year-round and – as long as you’re not afraid of heights – fun for all ages, families and solo travelers. The 12 CHF ticket is valid for one ascent and one descent, making it easy to return to the starting point.

Glacier Park

The Glacier Park is only open during the summer months, from May to August. The snow fun provides a welcome contrast to the hot summer weather in the valley: on the snowtoy track, young and old can slide down the slope on Balancer, Snake Gliss or Zipfelbob. The magic carpet takes them back up to the next round of snow slides. Here, too, admission is free.

Both at the intermediate “Stand” station and at the top station, there are excellent restaurants to tantalize the palate. The Panorama Restaurant at the summit additionally spoils with fascinating views.

On the Titlis there is a wide selection of stores offering everything from sweets to sports equipment, watches and souvenirs. Divided between the valley, mountain and middle station, waiting times will never be boring anywhere.

Titlis in winter

Titlis has a particularly impressive atmosphere especially at winter time. Since the mountain itself is covered with snow in addition to the glacier, and likewise the surrounding mountain peaks are bathed in the cold white, this reinforces the impression of a journey back to the long-gone ice age. The deeper in winter, the further the snow reaches into the valley until the entire landscape is covered by the white flakes.

Especially the surroundings of Mount Titlis offer breathtaking views of untouched nature. Snowfall on the Titlis starts in October, in some years even as early as September. With the beginning of the winter season the summer activities close and the ski lifts are ceremoniously opened. Skiing down a glacier at an altitude of over 3,000 meters is not to be missed. One of the most popular, but also most time-consuming hikes at Trübsee is the Four Lakes Hike, which takes up the better part of a day. In keeping with the four lakes that can be admired during the hike, it also takes a total of four hours and is assigned a difficulty level of medium.

Alternatively, you can hike downhill to the valley town of Engelberg or from Engelberg up to Trübsee. With small children it is ideal to explore the one-hour waterfall circuit near the playground.

In addition to the already mentioned slide park, which guarantees fun for the whole family, in winter there is the possibility to ride a snowmobile and explore the surroundings, which is great for families with older children. In addition, there are different activities from year to year, such as igloos, snow bars or the Trübsee Flyer Zipline.

In addition, there are of course the possibilities of skiing, snowshoeing and ski mountaineering. However, to take advantage of all that the Titlis has to offer, a day trip is not enough, which is why a stay of several days pays off in any case.

In winter, in addition to all the leisure activities, it snows on the Titlis and the whole landscape is covered with soft snow hoods, which is good for the eyes and soul.

To make the visit as enjoyable as possible, there are a few things to keep in mind to get the most out of the trip. In a way, every adventure lives on planning: first of all, it is necessary to clarify which activities are on the wish list and choose the travel time accordingly.

Furthermore, you have to pay attention to the weather, as the view is largely determined by the cloud situation. On a clear day, one has the most beautiful view and can perceive even the most distant peaks. However, since the weather on the Titlis can change quickly, it is recommended to spend several days on the mountain to get the most out of the experience.

In addition, appropriate clothing is also indispensable. You should be aware of the minus temperatures on the mountain and not underestimate them even in summer. A water-repellent winter jacket and winter boots are a must.

An organized tour from Lucerne to Mount Titlis not only saves time, but also guarantees a scheduled itinerary. On the half-day tour, you travel by coach from Lucerne to Engelberg and are accompanied by a professional guide on the excursion to Titlis. After some free time at the summit, you return to Lucerne in the late afternoon.

Organized excursion from Zurich to Mount Titlis

As with the previous trip, you will be picked up by coach, this time in Zurich. Here, however, there are several short photo stops in and around Lucerne, such as the Lion Monument and on the shores of Lake Lucerne. The Bernese Oberland is home to many glorious mountain summits that attract travelers from all over the world. One of those is Mt. Titlis, a 3,000+ meter peak towering above the village of Engelberg .

As the home of the first rotating cable car in the world and a chair lift that transports you over a glacier, Mout Titlis is an excellent destination for travelers seeking unique adventures. It’s also a popular destination for skiing, thanks to 82 kilometers of slopes that are covered in snow from October until May.

General Information

Where is mt. titlis located.

Mount Titlis straddles the border of the Obwalden and Bern cantons. It is a mountain in the Urner Alps range and the highest peak in the range north of the Susten Pass.

At the foot of the mountain is the village of Engelberg, which offers gondola rides to the summit. Engelberg is situated south of Luzern, in the Obwalden Canton.

How to Get to Mt. Titlis

The only way to reach Mt. Titlis is by gondolas from Engelberg. One ticket allows you to ride on all the different gondolas that travel up the mountain, and it’s possible to purchase tickets for journeys between the lower stations.

The stages of traveling up to Mt. Titlis are:

• Engelberg to Trubsee (optional to get out Trubsee station)
• Trubsee to Stand (must change gondolas)
• Stand to Klein Titlis (ride in Titlis Rotair, the rotating cable car)

In total, it takes about 20-30 minutes to get from Engelberg to Klein Titlis. The journey is wonderfully scenic, with panoramic views of the glacier and the towering summits. My favorite part of the journey is the ride in Titlis Rotair, the rotating cable car that offers 360-degree views of the Uri Alps.

From Lucerne

Engelberg is most easily accessible from Lucerne. Traveling by public transport means a stop at the lakefront city is inevitable. With that in mind, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to include a half-day tour of Lucerne in your Mt. Titlis itinerary.

How to travel by train

At Lucerne, head to the main train station and board a train to Engelberg. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes, and full-priced tickets for a one-way journey in the second class are 18.2 CHF. The trains between Lucerne and Engelberg run every hour, from 5 AM until 11:30 PM.

An important thing to note is that trains to Engelberg run only from Lucerne. So, if you want to visit Mount Titlis from any other place in Switzerland, the first step is to board a train to Luzern.

How to travel by car

It’s possible to travel by car from Lucerne to Engelberg. Just head south towards the village, and you should arrive at Engelberg in about 40 minutes, depending on the traffic conditions. Parking is available virtually everywhere in Engelberg, with at least 4-5 parking lots close to the bottom station of the gondola.

The parking lot closest to the gondola station has a fee of 5 CHF for an entire day, so it fills up the fastest. The other lots close by charge 10 CHF for a full day.

From Zurich

At Zurich, board a train to Lucerne . They run multiple times per hour from 5:30 AM until 12:40 AM. There are many train connections between Zurich and Luzern, but your best bet is to try and board a direct train because it’s the fastest. 

It takes about 40 minutes to travel from one city to another and the tickets are around 27 CHF (full price, second class). Buy supersaver tickets for a specific timeslot a day or two earlier to save money on transportation.

Driving from Zurich to Engelberg takes approximately an hour and 10 minutes, so it’s at least half an hour quicker than the trains.

From Interlaken

Visiting Mount Titlis from Interlaken is possible by train and car. It’s quicker and more convenient to drive because it’s only an hour and 20 minutes from Interlaken to Engelberg.

Traveling by train takes approximately two hours and 50 minutes, with a train change in Lucerne. Full-priced tickets are 48 CHF, and supersaver tickets are available if you buy them a day or two in advance, starting at 28.80 CHF. The trains between Interlaken and Engelberg run from 5 AM until 11 PM.

Mt. Titlis Ticket Prices

The full price of a return journey from Engelberg to Klein Titlis is 72-96 CHF, depending on where you buy the tickets. On the Mt. Titlis website, return tickets are priced at 72 CHF. But if you try to buy them via the SBB site or app, they’re 96 CHF.

A 50% discount is available to travelers with:

• GA Travelcard
• Half-Fare Card

The prices listed above don’t include the Ice Flyer chair lift, which has an additional fee of 12 CHF and includes free access to activities at Glacier Park.

Weather on Mt. Titlis

Mount Titlis has guaranteed snow between October and May, so it’s one of the more popular Swiss places for skiing in the off-season. Glacier Park constantly has snow, so don’t expect it to be warm at the summit. One thing to note is that there’s quite a bit of fake snow in late spring at Mt. Titlis, so just because you can ski up the mountain doesn’t necessarily mean it’s very cold.

Even in the summer, you shouldn’t go up to Mount Titlis without a hoodie or a lightweight jacket. And if you’re going to go inside the Glacier Cave, I’d recommend a down jacket and gloves. Summer temperatures at Mt. Titlis have been known to rise to 15-20°C, but only on very hot days when it’s 30°C down in Engelberg.

Winter is very cold at Mount Titlis, with temperatures below zero Celsius even during the day. Spring and Fall are warmer, but still get quite a bit of snow, and temperatures can rise up to 10°C.

Also, bear in mind that the temperature in Engelberg is significantly higher than at the summit. You’ll notice it’s much colder already at Trubsee, and by the time you reach Klein Titlis, it’s common for the temperature to be 10-15°C lower than down in the village.

Clear skies are what matters the most when visiting Mt. Titlis. Those are possible even in December, and as long as you’re able to check the weather forecast before the trip and avoid visiting on foggy and cloudy days, you can have a great time at Mt. Titlis.

Best Time to Visit

Any time of the year is a good time to visit Titlis. Most facilities are open year-round, and it generally depends on what you want to do at the summit. October to May is a good time for activities that include snow, so skiing, snowboarding, sledding, etc.

But if you’re more interested in hiking, boating, and summertime fun, plan a trip between May and October. May is probably the best month if you want to avoid crowds; there are fewer visitors interested in skiing and snowboarding, and it’s still early for summertime crowds.

In terms of time of day, it’s best to visit Titlis as early in the morning as you can manage. The sooner you make it up the mountain, the more time you have to enjoy yourself.

Pay attention to the weather forecast, and try to avoid doing the trip on a foggy or cloudy day. Mt. Titlis is best experienced when the sun is shining and the skies are clear.

Time Needed for A Mt. Titlis Trip

The amount of time you need for a Mt. Titlis trip depends on what you want to do at the summit. It’s anywhere from three to twelve hours, but I think five hours is the sweet spot for just the activities at the summit.

Explore the scenery at each of the gondola stations, visit the Glacier Cave, ride in the Ice Flyer, and don’t forget to do the Titlis Cliff Walk. If you enjoy skiing or snowboarding, you can spend time at Mt. Titlis having fun on the slopes.

Also, consider where you’re traveling from. If you’re departing from Engelberg, you need to allocate just 40-60 minutes for transportation up and down the mountain. But if you’re traveling from Interlaken, you’ll spend at least 6 and a half hours on public transportation for a round trip.

Mt. Titlis Activities

Mount Titlis offers loads of ways to stay busy and have fun during your trip. From hikes to flights over the glacier – here are some of the best things to do at Mount Titlis.

Titlis Cliff Walk

The cable car station at Klein Titlis and the Ice Flyer chair lift are connected with a 100-meter suspension bridge built into the cliffs. Crossing the bridge is the Titlis Cliff Walk , and it’s one of the best things to do up the mountain.

Maybe don’t go near the bridge if you’re afraid of heights since it is the highest suspension bridge on the European continent. You can look down the entire time and see just how high up you are, and that might be terrifying to some people. I enjoyed it; the views are awesome on clear, sunny days.

The bridge is often slippery, so you will need sturdy shoes with lots of traction to cross it safely. Also, the Titlis Cliff Walk is often closed in extremely windy weather, so double-check the weather forecast and conditions at the summit before you head to the cable car station.

Riding the Ice Flyer chair lift is my highlight of visits to Mout Titlis. The lift transports you over the Titlis Glacier, offering dramatic views of the glacier and the mountains around you. This is essentially a ski lift that transports skiers to the starting point of a steep downhill run, but it’s open to everyone.

The ride is so fun that the Ice Flyer lift operates even in the summer when there’s no snow on the ground. Well, it’s fun if you don’t have a fear of heights, since you are sitting in a chair, soaring to an altitude of 3,000+ meters.

Tip : If you’re planning to go skiing in Engelberg, you won’t have to pay extra for the Ice Flyer as it is included in the ski pass.

Titlis Glacier Cave

Anyone who purchases the tickets for the Mt. Titlis cable car can access the Titlis Glacier Cave. It’s a 100-meter-long tunnel in the Titlis Glacier, with sculptures carved into the side walls. Walking through the tunnel is an interesting experience and a staple of trips to tall summits in Switzerland.

One thing to note about the Titlis Glacier Cave is that it’s always freezing inside. Even if you visit in the middle of the summer, you’ll need a warm jacket to avoid turning blue inside the cave. The entrance to the tunnel is from the top cable car station, and this should be one of the first fun things you do when you arrive at Klein Titlis.

Glacier Park

The Glacier Park at Mt. Titlis is open only in the summer, so it’s an attraction you can visit only during a specific season. There’s always snow and ice at Glacier Park, and it’s the best destination for tubing in the summer. Just keep in mind that, if you’re heading to Glacier Park, you need winter gear (hat, jacket, boots, gloves, etc.).

Accessible via the Ice Flyer chair lift, Glacier Park is the top destination for winter activities in the summertime. And If you’re at Mt. Titlis in the winter and you want to go sledding or tubing, know that you won’t be able to do it at Glacier Park. Instead, head to Trubsee, where a snow park offers loads of ways to have fun.

Plenty of hiking trails are available on Mount Titlis, ranging from easy-loop trails to challenging climbs.

One of the best trails in the area is from Klein Titlis to Titlis Summit :

• Two hours with a detour to Stotzig Egg (3.5 km total)
• 390 meters elevation gain

Trails to Rostockli are also popular in the area. An easy version is to hike from the Stand gondola station up to the summit. A more extreme trail leads from Rostockli ridge to Engelberg :

• 5 hours, downhill descent
• 8.5 kilometers, 1,800 elevation loss

This is a very challenging hike with a steep downhill descent and a good way to save money on gondola tickets while discovering spectacular Swiss landscapes.

Trubsee and Jochpass at the lower slopes of Mt. Titlis offer even more hiking trails. One of the best trails at the Trubsee station is the Four Lakes Hike. Lake Trubsee is the starting point, followed by Englstensee, Tannensee, and Melchsee.

It’s one of the best hikes to do in the area in the summer, featuring stunning panoramic vistas of dramatic peaks and Alpine Lakes. But it takes almost an entire day, so you can only do this hike if you’re staying at Trubsee for at least one night.

An important thing to note is that you need sturdy hiking boots, preferably something suitable for snow, for ascents to the Titlis Peak. The trail is steep and slippery, and shoes with plenty of grip and traction will make your life easier and the hike more enjoyable.

Of course, you can shop while you’re at Mt. Titlis. This is Switzerland after all, and at every corner, there’s an opportunity to spend hundreds of Francs as if it were nothing. At the summit of Klein Titlis is the Swiss Lion store, where you can shop for the best Swiss watch brands. The options here range from Swatch to Tissot, so there’s something for everyone’s budget.

Other shops at the top station of Mt. Titlis are:

• Chocolate shop
• Souvenir shop
• Ice cream shop

An Intersport shop is available at Trubsee, and it’s stocked with all the gear you might need to have fun at Mt. Titlis. If you forgot to pack something, just stop by the store.

Finally, there are plenty of shops in Engelberg. From the local farmer’s market and supermarkets to Mammut and Benetton – whether you want to stock up on Swiss cheese or need new gear for mountain ascents, you can find what you need in the Engelberg stores.

Winter Sports

Titlis is a great destination for skiing and snowboarding because the mountain has snow even in April and May. The Ice Flyer chair lift is particularly good for skiers, as it transports them to the beginning of a very fun downhill run. Plenty of other pistes are available at the summit, and you could spend hours here skiing and snowboarding.

There are 82 kilometers of maintained ski pistes at Mt. Titlis, including the snow parks. The longest run is a 12-kilometer descent with an elevation loss of 2,000 meters. And there are many other things you do for fun at Titlis besides piste skiing and snowboarding:

• Snowshoeing
• Winter walking
• Tobogganing
• Cross-country skiing

One of my favorite activities at Mt. Titlis is sledding. It’s very fun and it’s included for free with the gondola tickets. You can sled as much as you want, and easily kill a few hours going up and down the mountain. And no, sledding isn’t just for kids, especially with the steep runs with sharp curves that are available at Mount Titlis.

Down at the Trubsee, there are even more fun things to do, from mini bobsleds to electric snowmobiles.

Things to Do at Trubsee

A visit to Mt. Titlis isn’t just a gondola ride to Klein Titlis. Exploring the lower gondola stations is absolutely worth it, and Trubsee in particular offers a wide variety of fun things to do.

Winter Activities

In the winter, Trubsee is a popular destination for non-skiers at Mt. Titlis. The Snow Park at this mountain station offers:

• e-Snowmobiles

All these are available to adults and children from 12-16 years old. There’s a fee to use the electric rides, and you can get discounts for booking multiple rides.

Trubsee even has a dedicated ski school for the youngest visitors. Schmuggli’s Winterland is a place where kids can learn to ski or snowboard, and there’s even a playroom where the little ones can continue to have fun if they get too cold outside. There’s no age limit for the children’s ski school.

At Engstlenalp, a short gondola ride from Trubsee, there’s a dedicated area for intermediate skiers and snowboarders to hone their skills. Head to the Bump Line to practice rollers and steep turns.

Summer Activities

Trubsee is most popular for boating in the summer. You can come to the lake, rent a boat, and ride around as much as you want. Swimming in the lake is also very popular; the water is quite chilly even in the summer, but you get used to it quickly.

A wide variety of hiking trails is available in the area. Consider an easy loop hike around the lake for a quick adventure, or hike down to Engelberg, for a real challenge.

Trails lead from the village all the way to Trubsee, and they’re exhausting with a steep elevation. But also a good way of saving money on cable car tickets, especially for experienced hikers who are looking for a challenge.

Other popular things to do at Trubsee in the summer are:

• Mountain biking
• Kick scooter rides
• Paragliding
• Bungy jumping

Trubsee and its surroundings are a vast playground for outdoor adventurers, and there’s a plethora of things you can do to stay busy at the mountain.

Where to Eat

There aren’t too many options for meals at Mount Titlis. In total, there are three places where you can eat:

• Titlis Panorama Restuarant (table service)
• Self-service Panorama Restuarant
• Ice Cream Bar

The Ice Cream Bar is good for desserts, but you can’t eat a full meal there. The other two restaurants are very expensive, as is often the case in the Swiss mountains.

There are a few more restaurants along the way at the gondola station and a variety of different places where you can eat in Engelberg:

Where to Stay

Engelberg, Luzern, and all the villages in between are good places to stay for trips to Mt. Titlis. Engelberg offers the easiest access to the summit, and you can be at the top of the mountain in under an hour from the moment you leave your accommodation. Consider these hotels in Engelberg:

Many hotels in Engelberg have a minimum stay length of three nights. If you’re not seeing too many options, adjust the length of your stay.

Lucerne has more accommodation options so the pricing is more competitive, and it’s a good place to stay to save some money on accommodation. But the travel time to Mt. Titlis is longer, plus the total cost of the trip is higher. Consider these hotels in Luzern:

Kriens and Stans are two villages along the path of the train with good accommodation options. Hotels are cheaper here than in Engelberg, and the travel times are shorter than from Luzern: Some hotels in Kriens and Stans to consider are:

Finally, accommodation is available at Trubsee for travelers who want to spend several days exploring Mt. Titlis.

What to Pack

When packing for Mt. Titlis, consider the weather up at the summit and how you plan to spend your time. So, say you’re visiting in the summer but you have plans to visit the Glacier Cave – you shouldn’t wear shorts even if it might be 18°C up at the summit because you’ll freeze in the tunnel.

Another thing to bear in mind is that there aren’t too many amenities at the mountain. If you plan hiking and you want to explore the region, you should bring everything you think you might need. I’m talking about food, water, and snacks; while you can eat at restaurants at Mt. Titlis, they are very expensive and the food isn’t ideal for taking with you on a hike.

So, with all of that in mind, here’s a packing list of what you should bring to Mt. Titlis:

• Sunscreen (especially in the summer)
• Hiking boots
• Medicine (to help with headaches and altitude sickness, just in case)
• Lightweight weatherproof jacket
• A thin down jacket (so you don’t have to run through the Glacier Cave)
• Spare pair of socks
• Backpack with all the essentials

If you’re visiting in the summer and you have plans to go to Glacier Park, you’ll need to wear winter clothes, even if it is 25°C+ in Engelberg.

Tips for Visiting Mt. Titlis

I’ve got a few more last-minute tips to help you prepare for your trip to Mount Titlis:

• Glacier Cave and Titlis Cliff Walk are included in the price of gondola tickets
• Check the Mt. Titlis website for updates on operating hours and possible closures before traveling
• Wear sturdy shoes with lots of grip and traction – they’re necessary for the Cliff Walk and the Glacier Tunnel, in which you are walking on ice (you can rent shoes at the cable car station but it’s not cheap)
• If you buy an Engelberg ski pass, Mt. Titlis is included
• Go to Mt. Titlis early in the morning to beat the crowds and make the most of your day
• Pack a lunch to bring to Mt. Titlis if you’re on a tighter budget as a main course with a drink will easily cost you 30-40 CHF per person
• Some people experience altitude sickness when traveling up to Mt. Titlis. Stopping at the lower gondola stations can help you gradually adapt to the difference in altitude and prevent you from getting sick.

Good to know: We’ve been to Engelberg several times, in summer and in winter , and visited Mt Titlis on various occasions. In this article, we share our experience-based tips for your visit to one of the most popular mountain destinations in Switzerland.

First, you can find all the practical information for visiting Mt Titlis. Further below, you can read about what to do at Mount Titlis and also find some additional tips for how to get the most out of your visit. Read on!

What is Mount Titlis

At 3,239 meters above sea level, Mount Titlis is one of the highest mountain peaks that you can easily visit in Switzerland. It’s also one of the most popular day trip destinations in Switzerland, attracting lots of visitors in all seasons.

It’s not very clear to me how high Mt. Titlis actually is. According to Wikipedia, it’s 3,238 meters, whereas the maps of Titlis ski area say 3,239m. When you visit Mt Titlis, there is a sign at the viewing platform at the top saying that it’s 3,020 meters (10,000 ft)… But that’s the height of that place, at the nearby Klein Titlis (3,028 m) and not of Mt Titlis itself.

Whatever the precise height is, the landscape is amazing and it truly feels like you’re standing on top of the world. The 360° views from Mt. Titlis are incredible and if you visit on a clear day, the scenery of countless mountain peaks all around you will take your breath away.

Where is Mt Titlis & How to Get There

Mt Titlis is located near Engelberg, a small mountain resort about 35 km (22 miles) south of Lucerne in central Switzerland. Mt Titlis can be reached by taking a gondola from Engelberg to Stand, followed by a rotating cable car from Stand to Mt Titlis.

Engelberg can be reached by car or by train from Lucerne (see below). Railway connections are very good in Switzerland and so it’s easy to visit Mt Titlis as a day trip from Lucerne, Zurich, or other towns.

You can visit Mt Titlis on your own (you’ll still need to get a Mt Titlis ticket , of course) or with an organized tour (see further below for more information and the best options).

In order to make it easier for you to orient yourself, I created a map of the Mount Titlis area that should give you a much better idea of where everything is and clarify some of the names you’ll see mentioned in this article. Take a look below.

How to Get to Engelberg by Train

Engelberg can only be reached by train from Lucerne. So you’ll need to get there first. From Lucerne, there are regular trains to Engelberg, usually at least once an hour. The train journey from Lucerne to Engelberg takes 43 minutes.

Normally, you don’t have to book a specific train ride and can just take any train, but you may want to double-check that when you buy tickets. If you have the Swiss Travel Pass , it’s also valid for your journey to Engelberg (plus, it gives you a 50% discount on Mt Titlis gondola tickets).

The walk from Engelberg train station to the Titlis gondola takes about 10 minutes. It’s an easy and flat walk. In the high season and on weekends in the low season, there are also free shuttle buses available from Engelberg train station to the Titlis cable car station.

How to Get to Engelberg by Car

Engelberg is easy to get to by car. Take highway E35/A2 from Lucerne in the direction of the Gotthard Pass. Take exit #33, at Stans-Süd.

From there, follow the signs to Engelberg. There is just one road going south and it’s well indicated. From the highway, it’s just about 20 km (12 miles) to Engelberg.

The first half of this road is going through a valley and is flat. Only the last 10 km have some hairpin turns, but nothing to worry about. Even in winter, we never experienced any difficulties on this road. You should know, however, that snow chains are obligatory in case of hard snowfall, although we never had to use ours.

Once in Engelberg, take a right turn to Titlis Valley Station. It’s well indicated from the main road, soon after you pass a small lake on the right. There are several big car parking areas here and there is usually plenty of staff if you aren’t sure where to park or have any other questions.

Best Mount Titlis Tours

As already mentioned, Mt Titlis is a popular day trip in Switzerland and there are tours available from some bigger cities nearby.

Here are the best options that have great customer ratings and the best price-quality ratio:

How to Visit Mt Titlis on Your Own

If you want to visit Mt Titlis on your own, it’s perfectly doable (get your tickets here ).

In that case, you’ll first have to get to Engelberg (see above for more info). In Engelberg, take a gondola from Titlis Valley Station to Stand. In Stand, take a revolving cable car – TITLIS Rotair – for the last ascent to Mt Titlis.

Both – the gondola and the rotating cable car are included in the same Mt. Titlis ticket – this specific ticket also includes all the attractions at Mount Titlis itself (unless closed due to weather).

You can get Mt Titlis tickets upon arrival or online in advance. I recommend booking online as that will save you some time, especially on busy days. Often, it’s also cheaper online, especially in the winter season when they work with flexible rates. You can find more information about the tickets further below.

TIP: On your way up or down, you can also disembark at Trübsee (it’s a stop located halfway between Engelberg and Stand). It’s a great destination in itself and has a lot to offer in summer and in winter. I recommend visiting Mt Titlis first so that you can then quietly enjoy all the activities at Trübsee before heading back down. Further below, you can find more info about things to do at Trübsee.

Mt Titlis Tickets

At the moment of the last update, visiting Mt Titlis will cost you 108 CHF (96+12 – see below), plus the cost of getting to Engelberg.

The official ticket price for a return ticket to Mt Titlis is 96 CHF. The Ice Flyer (cable car that you can take once you are at Mt Titlis itself) is an additional 12 CHF and it includes all activities of Glacier Park. If you want to experience everything at the top, the best option is this all-in Mt Titlis ticket .

Good to know: Kids age 5 or younger travel free of charge and kids age 6 to 15 get a 50% discount (free with Junior Travelcard ). Discounts are also available with the Swiss Travel Pass (50%).

For more information about fares and discounts, please consult the official website . On their ‘webshop’ you can also book your Mt Titlis tickets in advance. You can also get the tickets on the spot – there are several ticket machines on the left side before you enter the cable car station. But I’m not sure if it’s the same price there (we always get our tickets in advance), and it’s always so busy. Plus the machine gives you so many ticket options that it might get overwhelming…

PRO TIP: If booking online, make sure to also check prices for Mt Titlis tickets on the GetYourGuide website (if available – this can be seasonal). Normally, ticket prices are the same as on the official site, but sometimes they also offer a seasonal discount that’s not available elsewhere. Plus, if booking with GetYourGuide, you have free cancelation up to 24 hours in advance.

Important! Make sure that you keep your ticket throughout the entire day because you’ll need to scan it multiple times. Also, keep an eye on the indicated times and make sure that you don’t miss the last cable car to get back down to Engelberg. It’ll cost you a small fortune if they have to let it run an additional round especially for you.

What’s the Best Time to Visit Mt Titlis

Mount Titlis is a year-round destination and has something to offer in every season. Weather permitting, you can enjoy all the attractions and great views at any time of the year.

The best time to visit is, of course, on a sunny day when visibility is best, but the time of the year doesn’t matter much.

My personal favorite time to visit is in winter when Mt Titlis itself and all the surrounding peaks are covered in snow. In summer, I prefer the lower green areas around Trübsee or Jochpass. But Mt Titlis is also amazing, especially if you haven’t visited before.

How Much Time Do You Need to Visit Mt Titlis

While visiting Mt Titlis itself and the main attractions on top of the mountain only require 1 or 2 hours, you should count at least 3-4 hours for a visit.

It takes a long time just to get to Mt Titlis from Engelberg and back, plus the wait times for Titlis Rotair can be quite long at times. You’ll need even more time if you are planning to do anything extra like sledding or tobogganing, hiking, or any of the adventurous activities at Trübsee.

When you add up the time for cable cars, activities, lunch, plus your travel time to Engelberg, you’ll quickly realize that you need the whole day for a visit to Mt. Titlis.

TIP: If you don’t have an entire day and are visiting the area in summer, you could also opt to visit Mount Pilatus near Lucerne instead of Mt Titlis. Pilatus is closer to the city and you can visit it in 4-5 hours in total, so a good half a day.

Things to Do at Mt Titlis

Below is an overview of everything that you can do at Mt. Titlis. Please keep in mind that some views and activities are weather-dependent, while some others can be enjoyed in any weather.

Here’s what you can expect to see and do at Mt Titlis:

Amazing Views

Mt Titlis offers some of the best mountain views in Switzerland. TITLIS Rotair , the cable car that you’ll have to take in order to get to Mt Titlis, offers impressive 360° views of the surroundings. This is the world’s first revolving gondola that slowly turns as it goes up, giving you an opportunity to enjoy some jaw-dropping scenery all around you. However, this is just an introduction of what’s to come…

Once on top of Mt Titlis, you have many more possibilities to enjoy spectacular views in pretty much all directions. There is a viewing platform on the top floor of the Mt Titlis Mountain Station, great views from the mountain top itself, and yet another angle from the Ice Flyer chairlift … But my favorite views are probably those that you get from the TITLIS Cliff Walk . Absolutely dazzling!

If you feel like hiking, you can also take a 40-min Stotzig Egg hike that offers some nice views as well. During winter (October – May), part of this trail is on the ski slope and not really well indicated.

Glacier Cave

Titlis Glacier Cave is a 150-meter-long ice tunnel, located deep under the glacier. The temperature inside the cave is just below freezing point, so the Glacier Cave can be visited the whole year. Just keep in mind that it’s cold and slippery inside, so you need good shoes and warm clothes.

Ice thickness above the cave is between 3 and 20 meters (10-65 ft). The ice inside is said to be up to 5000 years old – incredible, isn’t it!

Every year, the Titlis Glacier Cave is a bit different. Sometimes they have ice sculptures, sometimes it’s lit in different colors. One year we visited, there was an ice sofa standing at the entrance of the cave and Scrat from the movie ‘Ice Age’ was trapped inside the ice. However, the last time we went, the ice tunnel wasn’t nearly as impressive as in previous years. Climate change is clearly visible if you come here every year…

However, if you have never walked inside an ice tunnel, it remains a very special experience. But if you have seen ice tunnels before, I have to admit that the one at Titlis is not that special. We found the ice tunnels at Jungfraujoch and in Zermatt much more impressive.

But then again, it looks different every time we visit and so they may add a few more ice sculptures or other elements and it will be more special again… Either way, it’s definitely a place you have to see when visiting Titlis.

Good to know: Glacier Cave is included in your Titlis ticket. You can access it from Level 1 of the Titlis Mountain Station.

Titlis Cliff Walk

At 3,041 m height and 500 m above the ground, Titlis Cliff Walk is Europe’s highest suspension bridge and one of the best things to do at Mount Titlis.

No matter how many times we walked over this bridge, it remains a special experience. Not to mention that the views are absolutely phenomenal!

The bridge is not wide and stretches over 100 meters. If there are more people walking at the same time, it usually swings quite a bit, adding to the experience and excitement. Don’t worry though, the bridge is well-protected. Also, the sides are properly closed with steel wire, so you can also walk this bridge with young children. Our kids love it!

Good to know: The suspension bridge is also included in your ticket and can be visited free of charge. It can be found next to the Ice Flyer chairlift – both reachable via the exit on the top floor of the Titlis Mountain Station.

TIP: On the bridge, you’ll see stickers in the shape of the feet. If you stand there, you’ll be looking at a camera. Push the button and it takes a really nice picture from an angle that you wouldn’t be able to do yourself.

You can then review your pictures and buy them if you like at the photography studio inside the main building of the Titlis Mountain Station. A picture will cost you about 12 CHF, and it’s a really nice souvenir to take home.

Of course, you can just take your own pictures at no extra cost.

Titlis Ice Flyer is a chairlift located at the top of Mt Titlis, right next to the suspension bridge. It connects the summit to the Titlis Glacier Park. In summer, you can do winter activities here (more info below), and in winter you can ski on the summit.

The views from this chairlift are really nice as you ‘fly’ over the glacier and see it up close. For many people who don’t ski, taking a chairlift is an experience in itself. I personally don’t consider this as something you must-do when visiting Titlis in winter, especially if you have to pay separately for it. If you are skiing in Engelberg, this chairlift is included in your ski pass.

However, if you are visiting in summer, then it’s definitely something you should do. It gives you access to Glacier Park – fun for young and old.

Good to know: If you get a regular Mt Titlis ticket, Ice Flyer isn’t included. You’ll have to pay an additional 12 CHF for it.

Glacier Park

Accessible via Ice Flyer chairlift, Glacier Park is only open in summer. There is always snow here, even if there is no snow at Mt Titlis itself. In summer, you can go sledding or snow tubing at Titlis Glacier Park.

Good to know: In winter, you can go sledding at another snow park, a bit lower down the mountain, at Trübsee. It’s free of charge and you can sled here as much as you want. It’s not just for kids and you’ll see people of all ages sledding here.

In the past, they used to have sledding and snow tubing at Trübsee, but during our last visit, there were only sleds available. The former snow tubing track is now being used as an exercise slope for beginning skiers. So if you want to go snow tubing, you’ll have to visit Mt Titlis in summer.

Shops, Restaurants & Souvenirs

Just like any other popular place in the Swiss mountains, Mt Titlis has everything a tourist might want. Restaurants, souvenir shops, Swiss chocolate… you’ll find it all at the Titlis Mountain Station.

There is also a photography studio where you can buy pictures that you can take on the Cliff Walk or on the Ice Flyer.

They also have lots of traditional Swiss costumes available. You can dress up and take a ‘typical Swiss’ picture if you want to. It’s not cheap and takes some time. We’ve never done it, but – as touristy as it sounds – the pictures look really nice.

Trübsee Activities

As already mentioned, Trübsee, the middle station on your way to Mt Titlis, is another great place that you definitely have to stop at after visiting Titlis.

In winter, you can go sledding here (see the Glacier Park info above). Usually, they also have snowmobiling and some other fun activities available here, but they differ every year.

For several years, they had an ice igloo and an ice bar here, but then it was gone for several years. The last time we visited, there was an igloo restaurant at Trübsee again. There is also Trübsee Flyer Zipline , but it’s not always open. So you just have to check what’s available on the day when you visit.

If you are staying longer, you can also go skiing , cross-country skiing , snowshoeing , or winter hiking . But if you are visiting Mt Titlis for a day, then you won’t have the time (or the equipment) for this.

Sledding and snow tubbing at Trübsee are free of charge, but you have to pay for all the other activities.

Good to know: Trübsee has a nice Italian restaurant, Lago Torbido, that is open in winter. If you are looking for a really nice lunch, check it out!

Also in summer, Trübsee is a great place to visit. There are some really nice hiking trails that start in this area. Our favorite is the Four Lakes Hike , but it requires a whole day. Alternatively, you can hike down to Engelberg.

You can also just walk around the lake , row a boat , or take your kids to a playground .

Trübsee Flyer Zipline is also available in summer and they have a variety of other activities that differ a bit every year. I heard rumors of an even more exciting zipline coming soon, so make sure to check it out on your next visit.

Is Mt Titlis Worth It?

With a high price tag and the whole day required in order to properly visit the area, you may be wondering if Mount Titlis is worth a visit. I suppose it depends on how much time you have in Switzerland and what other places are on your itinerary. But if you have the time and the money, yes, it’s absolutely worth it.

Mt Titlis is a really special place that has a lot to offer: incredible views, thrilling experiences, and a big variety of activities to choose from in any season.

And while it might look expensive at first sight, it’s actually one of the more affordable places for a day trip in the Swiss mountains. It’s also a great destination for a longer stay – hiking in summer or skiing in winter.

Good to know: If you are skiing in Engelberg , a ticket to Mt Titlis is included in your ski pass. So if you are looking for a place to go skiing in Switzerland, in combination with sightseeing, Engelberg is a really good choice.

Additional Tips for Visiting Mt Titlis

• Check the weather forecast . Mt Titlis is not the best destination for a cloudy day. However, if your plans aren’t flexible and the weather isn’t great, I wouldn’t worry too much and still do it. You can still enjoy most of the activities at Titlis and also at Trübsee, no matter the weather.
• Arrive early so that you can make the most of your day in Titlis. Plan at least half a day for the visit, ideally an entire day if you also plan to do any additional activities at Trübsee or visit Engelberg town.
• Dress warm . It’s usually very windy at the top. Even in summer, you may want to wear a jacket, gloves, or even a hat. In winter, it’s a must.
• Wear sturdy closed shoes. You’ll need them inside the Ice Tunnel, but also for walking around on Mt Titlis, the suspension bridge, and any of the additional activities.
• If you don’t have warm clothing or suitable shoes, you can rent them either at Titlis Valley Station or at Titlis Mountain Station. Needless to say, it’s not cheap.
• If you are on a tighter budget , you can save some money by bringing your own picnic. Dining at Mt Titlis or Trübsee is really expensive. Drinks cost 5-8 CHF and a simple warm meal 20-30 CHF. There is a supermarket in Engelberg town where you can get some drinks and small snacks.
• Mt Titlis is located at a very high altitude and not everyone adapts to it very well. It might help to stop at the intermediary stations such as Trübsee or Stand instead of heading straight to Mt Titlis so that your body can adapt to the higher altitude. On the other hand, in most cases, a short visit shouldn’t be a problem. Just make sure that you drink plenty of water – it really helps to adapt to the height. Just in case, you may want to bring something for a headache.

Where to Stay

Most people visit Mt Titlis as a day trip. If you are coming from Lucerne or Zurich, it’s indeed quite easy to do that and there is no need to stay in Engelberg. However, if you have some time to spare, I think you’ll really enjoy staying here for at least one night.

There are lots of nice hotels and accommodation options in Engelberg town . We always stay at Berghotel Trübsee that’s located near Trübsee lake, at the middle gondola station on the way to Mt Titlis.

Staying here allows you to enjoy all the amazing activities and stunning surroundings. We especially love this hotel early in the morning or in the evening. When there are no day tourists around, you can have beautiful mountains all to yourself. Incredible feeling, particularly in summer when you can go rowing on the lake with nobody else around you or watch a sunset above the mountains from the hotel terrace…

Mount Titlis is one of the highest mountain peaks that you can easily visit in Switzerland and it’s also one of the most affordable ones. It’s worth a visit in any season: the scenery is incredible, and there are so many fun activities including an ice tunnel under the glacier, Europe’s highest suspension bridge, snow fun the whole year round, and more.

Mt Titlis is a year round destination and is always open. Cable cars run daily from 8.30 AM until 4-5 PM. It can happen that cable cars don’t operate due to very high winds, but it’s very rare. Once a year (usually in November), they close for maintenance for a few days, but you’ll see if there are any unavailable dates when you book your tickets.

Mount Titlis can only be reached by a series of cable cars from Engelberg via Trübsee and Stand. You can get to Engelberg by car or by train from Lucerne. There are regular trains in all seasons and it takes 43 minutes from Lucerne to Engelberg.

Visiting the top of Mt Titlis will only take 1 or 2 hours, but because it also takes some time to get there and back, you need at least 3-4 hours for a visit. If you have more time, make sure to stop at Trübsee mountain station where you can find many activities such as sledding or snowmobiling (winter), zip line (year round), but also playgrounds, rowing boats, and hiking (summer).

With 3,239 m elevation, there is always snow on top of Mount Titlis. It might melt a bit in the places where most people walk in the warmest months of the summer, but there is always snow on the glacier where you can go skiing in winter or snow tubing in summer. So no matter when you visit, wear good boots and dress warm!

Do you mean where to stay for visiting Mt Titlis? The closest big city is Lucerne, but you can also visit from other places. In that case, coming from Zurich the journey will be much shorter than from Interlaken. Have a great trip!

Hi Jurga. Just a quick one..otw back from Titlis to Engelberg..say i drop at Trubsee. I can hop on again from Trubsee to Engelberg without any additional charges. Am i rite?

Correct. If you get round-trip tickets to Titlis, you can get off at Trübsee and take the gondola back down to the village after your visit there.

Hi Sham, there won't be much snow left by September except on the glacier at the very top of Mt Titlis. Normally, they have toboggan there in the summer season.

We are planning to travel to Mount Titlis in Mid April (16th). Would the Glacier Park be open then? or would we have to go down to the Snow Park near Trubsee if that's open?

Also, will the Trubsee Lake be completely frozen - can we hike around the lake?

Hi Ayush, the ski season at Mt Titlis Glacier normally lasts until early May so the Glacier Park will likely not be open yet (it typically opens around mid-May, after the ski season ends). However, there may not be enough snow for sledding/toboggan at Trübsee in mid-April anymore. I wouldn't be surprised they would use artificial snow if needed, but I can't tell you this for sure. What exactly is open and where in this 'shoulder' season, will really depend on snow conditions at that time. You can simply ask what the possibilities are on the day of your visit. As for Trübsee Lake, it should still be frozen, but I wouldn't walk on the ice on the lake this late in the season. If you have proper footwear (waterproof hiking boots should be fine), you can always hike around the lake - we have done it in all seasons. Hope this helps.

How It Works

Team Format Rules : Round 1 and 3 are Four-Ball (Best-Ball) and Rounds 2 and 4 are Foursomes (Alternate Shot). For Four-Ball play, the players on each team will each play his own ball throughout the entirety of the round, with the best score on each hole recorded. During Foursomes play, players will rotate tee shots. One player will hit the tee shots on all the odd-numbered holes, and the other will hit the tee shot on even-numbered holes. Players altermate shots until the ball is holed.

Making the Cut: The starting field will consist of 80 teams (160 players. The low 33 teams/pairs and ties following Round 2 continue play into the weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Both players on the winning team receive a two-year winner’s exemption and an eligibility into Invitational fields, including the Tournament of Champions and The Players Championship . Each member of the winning team receives 400 FedEx Cup Points and $1.286 million from a record prize pool of $8.9 million.
