To Whom It May Concern: My name is Brian D. Hylton, and I am writing you to share my concerns and dissatisfaction with the experience I had today with your company. As a part of our vacation, I and a group of friends booked an excursion package with your company to include the following activities:   1. ATV 2. Cenotes 3. Zip Lining 4. Sage making class   We were charged, and paid $640.00 (USD) with a $200.00 (USD) deposit, with the understanding that the deposit would be returned upon completion of the above mentioned activities.  We were only allowed to participate in doing two of the four purchased activities, which were ATV and Cenotes.  We were also promised lunch and a bottle of tequila in which we received neither.   During our time with your company, we noticed that a gentleman, who was a local resident, participated in the same activities as we, and only paid $50.00 USD, which was less than 3 times the rates we paid.   Upon our completion, and being highly dissatisfied with the experience, not only were we not refunded for the partial activities that we did not have a chance to do (Zip Lining & Sage Making), but we were not reimbursed our deposit of $200.00 (USD).   As avid travelers, we are deeply insulted and dissatisfied by the level of substandard customer service, and more so, we are enraged by the level of misrepresentation perpetrated by your company, as well as the comfort you have in displaying such reprehensible and unsavory business practices.  We also have no choice but to believe that your company has been fraudulent in the services you promised to provide, and therefore I would demand restitution for the services not rendered and the deposit, but I know we will never receive a refund from the disconcern shown by management. Sincerely,     Brian D. Hylton

This company scammed us!! We were quoted $255 USD for two people for our tour. When the driver picked us up (1 hour LATE), I paid him in Mexican pesos for my portion. My friend that I was with wanted to pay with a credit card as with some of the other people on the shuttle so they took us to a Mexican shop on the main street in Tulum where they said their office is. My friend proceeded to pay by credit card, they didn't tell her how much, just punched in the number and my friend wasn't paying attention. With all of the commotion and crowds, and speaking to us in Spanish, and pretending that they didn't understand us, we couldn't keep track of how much we had paid, plus, they didn't give us any receipts for our cash payments. Afterwards we realized that they charged her $275 US just for her portion! Plus they asked me to come back and pay more for mine but wouldn't give a straight answer as to why. In total we paid almost $400 US, but in part pesos in part US dollars. Once we finally realized how much we over paid between the two of us, we called the company and they said they had no record of us paying any cash!! I realized now we should've asked the driver for a receipt and as well the lady at the store when she took my cash. We were very upset, but they accused us of lying. We would never book with them again! On top of this, they wasted so much time with collecting payments, and we heard a bunch of people saying arguing with the driver that they had already paid, and he was asking them for more money. We didn't get to start our tour until over two hours late! Then they picked us up an hour early before the place closed so we lost three hours of a very expensive entrance fee. I will never book with this company again!

Where do we begin! Driver was late. Driver never introduced himself to us. Asked questions and just ignored us in Spanish and English. Made about 5 different stops along the way picking up people. Someone had to use a credit card to pay so we had to go someplace special for that to happen and that alone took forever. The people paid and then the driver was AWOL for 15-25 minutes. Finally get going and he pulls over for one passenger to buy tacos along the highway. This takes around 20 minutes because the asshole had to get every condiment for his tacos. Really wish he would've chocked on them. We finally make it to the location 2:30 minutes later after leaving our resort. That's when they decided to tell us snorkeling has been canceled. Told us they would take us someplace to swim that never happened. On the boat you get watered down soda and shitty ass beer. Now we are on a boat to some shitty buffet that I wouldn't feed my dogs! On the way home the driver makes a U-Turn and starts backing down the highway to a tequila dump. Everyone told him we didn't want to stop we just wanted the day from hell to be over. We had another trip planed for Wednesday but canceled it. It's definitely worth losing the 20 dollar reservation fee. They paint a pretty picture and give you shit!

we book an ATV trip on 5th avenue in Mexico, we were promised by Agen Tony that all ATV's will be new ones and 2020, when we arrived at the place where they take you for the trip we saw old and killed ATV's I didn't see those models for last 10 years. When we told them that we were promised a new ATV they said it cost more money and they don't have enough ATVs for our group that was #1). #2) they don't tell you at the beginning that you need eyes protection and a face mask from dust on the road. #3) there is a great chance to burn your legs because of those old ATVs, super-hot air is coming out from the side of the engine you barely can keep your legs near. #4) 2 of the ATVs that we got was in so terrible condition, one of the ATVs broken down during the trip, tour guy tried to fix it with a rock that he found on the road, and still atv didn't start, second ATVs battery cable was cut and tour guy had to connected to the battery to start the ATV. #5) They promised ATVs for 2 people, but they lied again, they gave us ATVs where clearly says one person only, and I did point out that, but some old guy look like the owner played stupid and was keep telling me this is for 2 people. there is no way you can place a child as a second person for a single ATV, I spoke with Easy Tours rep and told him this story and mentioned that I want the money back for one ATV since it was broken, he said you have to ask for your money back from the place where you got your ATVs, In my personal opinion DO NOT RENT FROM THEM ATVs. Not Safe at all. and if you do with other companies use credit cards only.

I bought a snorkeling and moped activity. The snorkeling activity was delayed by TWO hours yet nobody informed you. You had to find out for yourself and then just wait around. The mopeds are over priced. Do not rent with the company but directly in Cozumel at the rental place where you can rent it for cheaper.

WATCH out they operate under different names and all have different business cards and ALL are the stereotype third world country scammers. GOLONDRINA in COZUMEL rental car is one of the bogus companies, they rent broken. cars where you can see the actual road when you go on self-tours. RABANELY Tours in PLAYA by the marina is the other, all of them thieves and the kind that will put your life in danger! They sell tickets for all the attractions. PLEASE write/email to PROFECO, on line, google them, an organization that is on the side of tourists, they are on line and they are able to get your money back if you have your receipts and they have their own way of punishing these thieves. ALSO don't be scared of approaching the police, they are ALWAYS around and let them know they are scamming you! In this covid era they packed a buss and some people were not wearing masks, it was full, the van was about to fall apart and it also took us the long way to bring us back to our hotel. 2 American couples were also fighting with one of the 'managers' it seems that they all are at the end of the self guided excursion and shrugged and said..oh well. And we were charged double the amount they charged another couple. Going to the Cenotes another rip off, I asked about the water shoes that you better bring and asked if they were included, he FERANANDO Garcia Jimenez assured me they were. NOTHING was inclusive, the park area is an infestation of mosquitos and u r not supposed to use mosquito repellent due to the 'fragile environment' sorry but I HAD to, huge infected welts appeared after that trip. NOT a FAN of the water caves either, in which they tell you to keep your mouth closed because the bats shit on the water and it's contaminated!! CRAP, what about my BODY and other orifices!! The young guide that said that was new, and the older guide, told him to be quiet in Spanish and turned and said in English, he's lying...ha, ha, ha

Before I even get into the nitty gritty details of our experience, let me just summarize this way.... The pickup at our hotel... LATE The travel van/bus condition... DUMPY The staff attitude/friendliness at their office... SHITTY The "english" tour of Coba... BILINGUAL The tour of Coba... POOR USE OF TIME The "unscheduled" stops for their staff... ANNOYING The "rudeness" of the driver, tour guide and their friend... UNREAL The chance of me recommending Easy Tour... NEVER ! ! ! THE SET UP We wanted to visit Coba Mayan Ruins (as it's the only Mayan ruin you can climb), so through the concierge of my Boutique Hotel (not the big hotels that have on-site tours set up with the most respected tour companies), we let them set up our travel arrangements with Easy Tours. BUT I did ask the right questions... like is the tour "english" OR "bilingual". I was adamant to have "english only" because I really wanted time to see all their is at Coba and didn't want to listen to a 10 minute english description of something at Coba to then have to waste the same amount of time listening to the same lecture in Spanish. AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT OCCURRED and the other english speaking on the tour complained of the same thing. I also asked if the company used newer vans or buses as I was concerned that I didn't want to be stuck traveling for hours in a dirty vehicle... I wanted AC to be working... and didn't want the van to break down. OF COURSE IT WAS DIRTY and the AC BARELY COOLED US (at least we didn't break down) PICK UP AND TRAVEL Our van arrived an hour late (the front desk claims it was the right time and I had it mixed up but I call B.S. on that nonsense). Before hitting the highway to Coba, the van made a pitstop at their office so some of us could pay our bill... of all the staff at the office, I felt very unwelcome and didn't manage to have a single person say anything hospitable... Finally on the highway to Coba (and feeling quite warm), the trip was kinda far and I was a little annoyed to be separated from my travel mate and stuck in those small jumper seats. They finally pulled off the highway down a dirt road to what everyone thought was the entrance to Coba. Neither the driver or the tour guide corrected any of us guests that cheered our arrival... Turns out they made a stop to "IMPLY" that they were purchasing tickets but it was actually for them to get us to spend on the make-shift gift shop and food stand... a waste of time that should have been mentioned by the concierge setting up our trip. COBA We did finally arrive and we ended up standing around the entrance gate for a good 30 minutes for them to actually get the tickets (so they never really did do it earlier at the food/souvenir stop). Once inside we stopped at different areas of Coba and the tour guide explained well but then the repeat of everything in Spanish wasted my time so I wandered away and he had the nerve to ask us to stay with him (I'm not good at listening so I continued to wander to make the best of my time). We did finally split up and have "OUR TIME"... and we enjoyed it immensely. OUR TRIP BACK (ISSUE ONE) During our drive back, I noticed we left the highway along a different route back and we ended up off the main roads in a little town... where the heck are we? The van came to a stop and we dropped the tour guide off at a bar in the middle of the town... more wasting of my time OUR TRIP BACK (ISSUE TWO) This one girl that insisted sitting in the front seat due to her chronic "car sickness" talked and talked and talked.... but guess what happened.... We made ANOTHER STOP in ANOTHER little town to pick up some guy (don't even know if he was with Easy Tours).... (most wasting my time) When he hopped into the front seat (with the girl moved into the center seat), the driver said IN SPANISH to pretend you don't know english because this girl will talk your ears off; as annoying as she was, that was RUDE ! BACK TO OUR HOTEL Glad to have seen Coba... it was AMAZING... But NO THANKS TO EASY TOURS !

Thieves! My experience is similar to others who posted negative reviews except I was robbed of my change! The guide (not salesperson) flat out refused to give me change. We bought the tour from one of those hawker stands on 5th Ave. We told them we do not speak a word of Spanish. The salesperson said we would have an English speaking guide and the group would be limited to 12 people. Those two were the only reasons why we booked. We genuinely wanted to learn about the history and culture. We booked and paid 55% of the total at the stand and was told to pay the remaining 45% to the guide. We were picked up at 7:40am and driven to an aggregation site and hopped on to a large 40+ seater van. 675 pesos was due and I only had 700 pesos. The driver took the money and no change. I asked for change and he said he doesn't speak English. I involved another passenger to help translate and was told the driver does not carry any change and I would be give change when I arrive at Chitchen Itza. Ok..... 1/2 bus was full when we left Playa de Carmen. We first arrived at a rest stop 45 mins later and was harassed by souvenir shops and a guy wanting to us to take pictures with a monkey. I was expecting this so it didn't bother me too much except that we waited for an hour? because they were waiting for more people to aggregate our bus. The restrooms there also didn't flush so it was very disgusting. So we finally left the run down rest stop at 10:30am. One the way, there was another guy who spoke about Chitchen Itza. He first asked if there were any English speaking passengers and my husband and I raised our hands. He then said well, you guys are asleep anyways so he spoke in Spanish. At first I thought he was joking about the sleeping thing but when he spoke 5 minutes of Spanish and no Englisg, I raised my hand and said, English please. He then said, you said you were sleeping and continued on in Spanish and totally disregarded us. Then he had the audacity to walk down the bus aisle and ask us for tip. First stop was the denote il ilk. It was beautiful but consistent with other reviews, we were given a total of one hour, which included time to dress, lock our stuff up, etc. there were long lines so we only got time for one dive and 5 mins of swimming. Lockers, life jackets, and towels were all extra. Lockers were 30 pesos and they actually ran out. I was the lucky one who got a locker and boy were the people behind me pissed! Next stop was lunch at 1:00pm. Good was ok. Drinks, including soda was not included. We got to Chitchen Itza at 2:30 and was given till 5:00 to get back on the bus. Our group had 40 people and one English guide. Boy was I pissed! I told our guide that I was told the group size was 12. He said there was another group that joined, shrugged and walked away. And the time was the hottest part of the day. Our Chitchen Itza guide (a different one) spent 50 mins talking and really did not do a good job. Before the tour started, he said he was paid by gratuity (so did Easy Tour not even pay him?) so please help him. But he did not really give a shxt and just talked when a few of the large group of 40 were still trying to catch up. I missed the beginning comments of each stop. I asked him if he could wait for all of us to reach the stop before he start his commentary and he gave a fussy fit. He gave me a huge attitude. He ended the tour at 50 minutes and did not even take us to the north end. The whole tour was suppose to be 2 hours, and it is even published at the entrance. If tip is so important to him, why didn't he even finish the tour? Next stop was 30 minutes at the city, unguided. We finally back to our hotel at 9:30pm hungry and without dinner. We are never doing this again. We were robbed, rudely treated directly and tired. We asked for our change and was given a shrug. Please, if you see Easy Tour as your operator, just cut your losses and try to salvage your day. Our vacation time in Mexico is limited so don't waste a day with Easy Tours. I would suggest you rent a car and go to the sites yourself. You can hire the guides directly at Chitchen Itza entrance for 750 pesos (published rate).

This is literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. There is zero communication. Do not waste your time. We booked the tour for Chichén Itzá and cenote. We were told first that we would be brought to the Chichén Itzá but we're instead brought to the cenote. They include lunch, however, there is a time difference that the driver did not make us aware of and left us. By the time we took a taxi to the restaurant- we couldn't even eat. Both destinations were beautiful but I highly recommend you do not use this service as it will completely ruin your time. As we all piled in the van to leave our last destination, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for absolutely no reason. The "manager" came to talk to the van, and at this point, we were all upset- and he told us they "lied to us and that's how it goes sometimes" This is not the 'best tour' and it's everything BUT 'easy' Save your money and book a personal driver to take you instead. I only wish I saw the reviews before we booked with our hotel.

We just did two tours with Easy Tours and one more to go. They were timely in their pick up. Friendly all the way around. Vans were spotless to begin and the seats were clean with great a/c. In fact the women were constantly wanting the air turned down...I hate that! Lol. I like it a cool 62 degrees. Our guides were all knowledgeable patient. They gave us the high points and left time to do our own exploring. At no point did they ever pander for tips. It is standard procedure on these types of excursions in most Latin America countries to take you to a place where locals get a chance to sell you some trinkets etc. it just happens. There is no dodging it no matter How many tours we have taken in which country. Just roll with it. Although not a perfect 5, I would not hesitate to take another Easy Tour excursion. For the price, we received in resolve value. Yesterday we had one guide to our selves for the majority of the day snorkeling a Cenote and snorkeling with the turtles which actually was a five star day for us. We spent hours in the water and saw so much marine wildlife. It was spectacular day beyond our expectations. One thing I would say is the food experience was less than acceptable. Crappy ass tuna sandwich for lunch one day and the buffet today was eh. Also they provided a Cervaza but god I hate beer so that's a no go for me. All in all we were very satisfied.
