Incubus To Tour In Fall

Incubus will release their fourth album, Morning View, on October 23rd. Working once again with producer Scott Litt, the band told Rolling Stone that the new material is “some of the heaviest music we’ve ever written [and] at the same time some of the most beautiful we’ve ever written.”

A video shoot for the first single, “Wish You Were Here,” is planned for next month, and there will be pressure for Incubus to outdo themselves, as their video for “Drive” (from 1999’s Make Yourself) is up for Best Group Video at September’s MTV Video Music Awards.

For the remainder of summer, the band will continue to play various festivals, including Moby’s Area: One tour and the Rolling Rock Town Fair. Incubus will kick off their own North American tour in the fall, with brief stops scheduled in Japan and Australia during mid-August. Hoobastank and One Side Zero will be on several legs as support acts.

Incubus Line Up Tour Dates

After spending the summer sharing stages on Moby's Area:One tour and

European festival bills, Incubus will kick off a headlining tour on

September 14 in Gilford, New Hampshire.

The Calabasas, California, rockers will concentrate on eastern cities for

the rest of the month and into October before turning west to hit the

heartland. Dates currently run through a string of shows along the West

Coast, including a December 1 stop at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los

Angeles. More stops will be announced, according to the band's Epic

Morning View, Incubus' third album and their first since 1999's

breakthrough Make Yourself, is due October 23. The band has been

previewing the LP's first single, "Wish You Were Here," on the Area:One

INCUBUS announce 'Morning View' tour with COHEED and CAMBRIA

Last year,  Incubus  revisited their classic 2001 album,  Morning View , by re-recording the whole thing for a version dubbed Morning View XXIII . Then, the band honored the smash record with a special performance at the Hollywood Bowl, where Lizzo (!) made a surprise onstage cameo to play flute with Incubus during "Aqueous Transmission."

It was a hard Morning View moment to top, but the band are setting out to do so in 2024. Later this year, Incubus will embark on a U.S. tour with Coheed and Cambria  in which they'll play Morning View in its entirety every night, in addition to a bunch of other Incubus staples. 

"Roughly 23 years ago we rented a house at the sea to do an art experiment," Incubus singer Brandon Boyd said in a press release. "The novel and expansive environment combined with a healthy dose of momentum helped us find that ever sought after flow state, and the songs that became known as Morning View have since become indelible and deeply important parts of our lives."

"This album helped propel our little art experiment called Incubus into a way of life and here we are today, some 23 years later, about to introduce a new/next phase of its existence.

" Morning View xxiii is a re-recording/re-think of the 2001 album and is the result of our desire to honor this burgeoning legacy but also re-imagine it as musicians who have been lovingly performing these songs night after night for the last 23 years. See you on the road soon!"

Incubus Announces 2024 US Arena Tour Performing The Iconic Album “Morning View” In Its Entirety Plus The Hits

Today, Incubus announced their 2024 US Arena tour, performing their iconic album “Morning View” in its entirety, plus the hits featuring special guests Coheed and Cambria. Produced by Live Nation, the 10-city ARENA tour kicks off on August 23 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit making stops across the U.S. in New York, Tampa, Austin and more before wrapping up in San Francisco at Chase Center on September 12.

Incubus originally released their critically acclaimed studio album Morning View on October 23, 2001, and were met with an outpouring of love and acclaim from fans and industry alike. The album has been RIAA certified double Platinum and spent 60 weeks on the Billboard 200 peaking at number 2.

On October 6, 2023, the band announced the re-recording and re-release of the acclaimed double album entitled Morning View XXIII  (Virgin Music Group), which is set for an album release date of May 10 th , 2024.  Morning View XXIII preorders will begin alongside the general tour on sale this Friday, February 9th, and you can presave HERE .

Incubus Reveal Which Album They Will Perform During Their Upcoming Tour

I ncubus will perform every single song from a very special early 2000's album during each show of their newly announced U.S. tour. According to Consequence of Sound , the "Drive" standouts are set to embark on a 10-date tour this summer with special guests Coheed and Cambria, kicking off in Detroit, Michigan on August 23rd.

During each show, the band will perform 2001's Morning View in its entirety...but with a twist.

To build excitement for the upcoming tour, Incubus will gift the world a re-recorded version of their fourth studio album, Morning View , newly titled: Morning View XXIII, slated for release on May 10th. "Nice to Know You," "Just a Phase," and "Circles," are just a few many tracks released as part of Morning View. The icons shared a lengthy message with fans on social media, revealing why, out of all their albums, that they chose to re-record this one.

Incubus gave fans a taste of the magic scheduled to occur this summer with a special performance of Morning View during Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl in October 2023. It was there that the band decided that they needed to take the album on the road.

“So we did this livestream event from the room where we wrote and recorded the record, and it was a really fun challenge,” says Boyd. “I was listening to the live recording, and it was good — but to me, it wasn’t special enough. And then we started playing with the idea of properly recording it.”

That thought resurfaced last October, after Incubus performed Morning View in its entirety during a one-off show at the Hollywood Bowl. “It felt like a genuine, very authentic connection from the audience to a group of songs that we wrote quite a long time ago,” Einziger adds. “And it made me a lot more excited about the idea of re-recording these songs.”

In late August, Incubus will kick off a 10-date arena run, where they’ll perform the entirety of Morning View as well as other hits from their catalog. In the meantime, the band will keep plugging away at their next album, which will end Incubus’ longest drought between studio albums upon its release.

“We’ve written probably half a record already,” says Boyd. “We have another 30 ideas that we’re still chipping away at, and it feels like we just got started. I think the plan is to keep writing, [and] probably start recording while we’re writing. The way that people seem to absorb music now is so vastly different than when Morning View came out — we don’t have to have a finished album to start releasing songs. … It’s fun to listen to an album from front to back to see the artist’s full vision, but that doesn’t mean we can’t put out a single or two while we’re still writing the record, so that’s probably what we’re going to do.”
