To reduce staff contact with guest belongings, we have implemented the following bag policy: small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (MAX 4.5”x 6.5”) ARE ALLOWED (and need not be clear). LARGER BAGS MUST BE CLEAR TOTE BAGS. NO OTHER TYPES OF BAGS WILL BE ALLOWED. ALL BAGS OVER 12″x12″x6″ ARE PROHIBITED.

PLEASE NOTE: This event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones will not be permitted in the performance space.

Upon arrival at the venue, phones will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Guests maintain possession of their devices at all times, and can access them throughout the event only in designated Phone Use Areas within the venue. All devices will be re-secured in Yondr pouches before returning to the performance space.

All pouches and equipment are routinely sanitized. The Yondr staff is trained and required to follow safety guidelines and hygiene protocols to practice social distancing, minimal contact and wear required personal protective equipment.

Anyone seen using a device during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free experience.

Comedian Amy Schumer to Perform Live at Wells Fargo Center on September 24

Comedian Amy Schumer is set to perform live at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, September 24 as part of her 50+ city world tour.

Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, June 28 at 10 a.m. exclusively through WellsFargoCenterPhilly.com, by phone at 1-800-298-4200 or in person at the Wells Fargo Center box office.

Schumer is one of the entertainment industry’s leading forces as a standup comedian, actress, writer, producer and director. She is the creator, star, writer and executive producer of the award winning Inside Amy Schumer, for Comedy Central.

Inside Amy Schumer won the 2015 US Writers Guild Award for Best Comedy/Variety Sketch series. Last Autumn, the show was honored with the first-ever Emmy Award for “Outstanding Sketch Variety Series.” She was also nominated for “Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series,” and “Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series.” Schumer received honors for “Individual Achievement in Comedy” and “Outstanding Achievement in Comedy” from the US Television Critics Association in 2015. Additionally, she was awarded (US) The 2015 Critic’s Choice Television Award for “Best Actress in a Comedy Series.” Among the show’s many accolades, it also received the prestigious Peabody Award in 2014.

Amy wrote the film which co-starred Bill Hader, Tilda Swinton, Brie Larson, Lebron James and Vanessa Bayer. Judd Apatow directed the film which was nominated for two Golden Globes including Best Actress, Comedy or Musical, as well as Best Picture, Comedy or Musical. 

Additionally, she won the Critic’s Choice Award for “Best Actress in a Comedy” and was nominated for a Writers’ Guild Award in the category of “Original Screenplay.” 

Her one-hour HBO comedy special, Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo directed by Chris Rock, premiered on October 17th, 2015 and was HBO’s most watched Saturday night comedy special debut since December 2009. The special earned her a Writers Guild nomination for Best Comedy/Variety Special. 

Schumer recently wrapped production on the independent film "Thank You For Your Service" opposite Miles Teller for director Jason Hall. She is currently in production on the "Untitled Mother-Daughter adventure" comedy opposite Goldie Hawn for director Jonathan Levin.

Amy Schumer is returning to her roots.

After hosting the Oscars and starring in hit Hulu sitcom “Life and Beth,” Schumer is closing the year by performing stand-up across the U.S. as part of her comedy tour.

On her ongoing 52-show run, she’ll be dropping into Philadelphia’s The Met on Aug. 20, New York’s Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on Sept. 16-17 and Bethlehem’s Wind Creek Event Center on Oct. 28.

Amy Schumer Announces The Whore Tour Dates Beginning August 

Comedian Amy Schumer has announced her first major tour in more than four years, bringing The Whore Tour across North America beginning in August. The tour is currently scheduled for 32 nights, though ample gaps in the routing could see more dates added.

Schumer made a name for herself as a fearless standup, parlaying that into a Comedy Central show – Inside Amy Schumer. From there, she branched out into film, writing and starring in the Judd Apatow-directed Trainwreck in 2015 and several movies since. During the pandemic, Schumer released several episodes of a new show – Amy Schumer Learns to Cook – on Food Network. The news of her standup tour coincides with the release of a Hulu original series co-starring Schumer and Michael Cera, Life and Beth.

Tickets for Schumer’s tour go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, March 25. Presales for the dates began on Wednesday, March 23, with fans able to sign up for access via Schumer’s website.

Amy Schumer’s Whore Tour kicks off on August 5 at the Count Basie Theater in New Jersey, and runs through a November 20 show at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay in San Diego, California. Along the way, stops for the comic include The Wilbur in Boston, two nights at Denver’s Paramount Theatre, Hulu Theatre at MSG in New York, Moody Center in Austin Texas, and The Chicago Theatre.

Schumer announced the schedule for her upcoming stand-up tour in a tweet Monday, likely prompting her army of followers to whip out their phones and set an alert for 10 a.m. on Friday, when tickets go on sale. In October, Schumer's Chris Rock-directed comedy special Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo showcased her "special capacity for skewering Hollywood," Julia Felsenthal at Vogue wrote. She has a hit show on Comedy Central — Inside Amy Schumer — and struck a multimillion-dollar book deal with Simon & Schuster in September. Her essay collection, Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo , is slated to publish on August 16 with Simon & Schuster.

She also premiered the second season of her cooking show, Amy Schumer Learns to Cook, with her husband Chris Fischer who is an award-winning chef on the Food Network in August 2020.

Schumer starred in Stephen Karam 's The Humans, which made its world premiere at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival and launched in theaters and on Showtime this past November. Most recently, Schumer wrote, executive produced, directed and starred in her 10-episode comedy series LIFE & BETH, streaming now on Hulu. Schumer is also set to co-host the 94th Academy Awards alongside Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall on Sunday, March 27th live on ABC.

Madonna superfan Kelly Ripa gets emotional after joining icon on stage: 'I died'

Tears welled in Ripa's eyes as she recalled going from attending her first Madonna concert at age 13 in the back row to taking the stage with the queen.

Lifelong Madonna superfan Kelly Ripa fought back tears on Tuesday's episode of Live With Kelly and Mark , the morning after she celebrated a milestone marker in her sustained adoration for the pop icon.

In the aftermath of receiving an invitation to join the superstar on stage during a performance of "Vogue" at Monday night's Celebration tour stop in New York City, Ripa got her bearings as she recovered from the shock of facing her idol on stage in front of thousands of attendees at Madison Square Garden.

"I've had a 40-year relationship with Madonna — in my mind, to be clear," Ripa said, explaining that she was asked to join Madonna on stage while she attended the concert with husband Mark Consuelos and friends Demi Moore , Anderson Cooper , and Andy Cohen .

"I kept turning around [to look at them] because I was like, can you believe this is happening to me ? Anderson and Andy are like, dying. They're literally dying, they're screaming, they're laughing, they can't believe it, I can't believe it, and I look at Mark who was there with his cell phone camera," Ripa said, adding that the walk up to the stage floored her.

"At that point, I, Kelly Ripa, died, so the ghost of Kelly is now walking over," she said. "I'm hearing words but they're not really making sense. 'She's going to give you a football, you're going to have cards in your hands, things are going to happen,' and I'm just sort of going, 'Why are you talking to me? I died, shouldn't the paramedics come?'"

Ripa then got emotional as she thought back to her 13-year-old self sneaking out of her parents' house (she told them she was "babysitting," she admitted) to go to her very first Madonna concert in Philadelphia.

"I spent all of my money on these scalped tickets, and we sat in one of the very last rows," Ripa said. "If you had told me — I'm going to get emotional — if you had told me, Kelly, 40 years from now, you are going to be on stage with Madonna..."

She trailed off, just before Consuelos praised her for the accomplishment.

Ripa joins a revolving door of celebrities who've performed with Madonna in recent months, as the singer-songwriter has regularly invited notable personalities to perform "Vogue" with her since the Celebration tour launched in 2023. Some names include comedian Amy Schumer , RuPaul's Drag Race star Sapphira Cristál, and Julia Garner , who was previously set to play Madonna in the icon's delayed biopic movie .
