Good experience with a Onward Travel Solutions

have now used Onward Travel Solutions for 6 journeys to Heathrow and 6 journeys home from Heathrow. All the drivers have been polite and on time and most keeping me up to date with their whereabouts. The cars have been spotless and the drivers friendly and helpful. Booking is very easy and when I had a flight cancelled in Sicily due to Volcanic ash it was no problem rebooking with text and email Booking details come by return with drivers numbers The cost is considerably less than my local companies which is a bonus

They are online agents who arrange horrible cars and rude drivers for costumers, they don’t care what service costumer will receive, all they care take profit and send you the cheapest taxi in town.

Can't fault the service we received, return taxi from Cardiff to bristol airport. Price was £10 less than airport parking, drivers were bang on time and text to advise they had arrived...even the 1am pick up after the flight was slightly delayed, hassle free. Would highly recommend and use again.

This company is a scam! Their business model is to charge you extra (£20/hour) for waiting for you to exit the airport. This extra charge starts 1 hour after your flight is scheduled to land. Since deplaning, passing through customs and waiting for luggage to be delivered generally takes over an hour, they are guaranteed at least an extra £20 on top of your taxi fare. There is an option to book with a pick-up at least 90 minutes after landing, but there is no free 1-hour waiting time, so you will pay £20 for eack hour, the minute after your scheduled pick-up time, if you are late. Moreover, flights are often delayed and they do not let you book for a certain time after your scheduled landing time. This is a pathetic service and solely designed to rip you off. This company is to be avoided at all costs!

Both journeys to and from airport excellent. Turned up on time, very friendly, vehicle clean, price excellent, cannot fault this service. Second time we’ve used them, so far so good, will use again and would highly recommend

GET AN UBER OTS's driver was unable to direct me to the pickup spot at Gatwick South Terminal. Although we initially communicated by text, he called me while I was walking out of the airport to tell me the pickup location - undoubtedly the most important information for the passenger to know. I had to tell him many times (speaking on the phone and also by text) that I was having difficulty hearing him due to a bad connection. I repeatedly requested that he text me this information and he refused to do so. I even texted him my precise location in the parking garage (where, as best as I could tell because it was hard to hear him, I thought he had directed me to go). He grew increasingly rude and began our last call by shouting at me. I did not feel happy or safe to ride with him after that, nor was I inclined to further trust a company that would employ such a driver. As OTS never shared his name or badge/license number with me I cannot identify this driver specifically, and so I can only recommend that passengers (especially solo female travellers) avoid this company altogether. Luckily, I was able to get an Uber home; with Uber, I was provided with clear, precise directions to the pickup location, the fare was lower, and the driver was communicative and treated me with courtesy and respect the entire time. Meanwhile, OTS refuses to issue me a refund. I do not often leave online reviews, but my experience with this company was so shocking that I wanted to share it here and give passengers a chance to avoid a similar negative experience. Get home safe, everybody.

Taxi to Gatwick North

The driver was booked for 6.30 and he could not find the house and we had to go and wait in the pouring rain in the road and then he said it was my fault as his sat nav took him to a property on the other side of the road. It’s my third experience with OTS and there is always something but I got there and made my plane. I think it’s difficult for taxi drivers and as long as you get there it all you can ask.

We paid for “Meet and Greet” at Glasgow Airport after an overnight flight from Canada. We were not met, and stood waiting. Then to compound the problem the driver texted us. We had not planned on using cellular but only wifi. Thus this poor service not only did not provide the paid for services but indeed cost us more. We apparently did not understand that for this company “meet and greet” means they want you wander through an unfamiliar airport searching for an unknown man and vehicle, to meet and greet. Would never recommend this company. Just hire a car from the queue.

We have used OTS several times now to take us to and from Bristol Airport, they are always very punctual, the drivers are really friendly and the cars are really nice. We would definitely use them again and would recommend as it is cheaper to use this service than to park at the airport.

We had an absolutely horrendous experience with this “company” and have filed a police report for fraud. The taxi never showed up at our house for a trip booked to the airport, despite multiple calls and texts in which they claimed for over 45 minutes to consistently be only 2 minutes away (they were clearly lying) and were nasty and rude. After over an hour of severe stress, we finally gave up and took alternative transport, although ended up missing an international flight. Despite the driver never showing up at all we were still illegally charged the full fare (their new claim is that the driver was there all the time, which is ridiculous, or that they were lost but nevertheless can charge as long as they show up within an hour of the requested time, which is even more ridiculous). We have reported this company for fraud to both the police and Transport for London. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS — IT IS A SCAM.

We used the taxi service from Reading to Heathrow airport and back. Very good service, punctual, polite and good driving.

I booked OTS for two rides and both drivers showed up half an hour late and the first one failed entirely to make the meet and greet. The phone numbers given for the drivers seem to be randomly generated as they never work. The silver lining is that when you call the office to complain they are extremely pleasant and do all they can to sort it out but I can only recommend them if you have loads of time and a phone plan that allows international dialing so that you are able to call the office.

Pleasant Journey

The driver turned up 5 minutes early, texted me so I could easily find him outside the hotel. The car was clean (looked recently hoovered) and the journey was pleasant. We arrived slightly earlier than I expected but not because he was exceeding speed limits (which he wasn't). I have to say I was slightly dreading it having read other reviews (after booking), but I found a nice friendly driver and excellent service.

Excellent price and service

Excellent price and service. Very smart and modern Mercedes car left us feeling like we were being chauffeured rather than taxied! The driver was extremely smart and polite and offered us bottled mineral water on arrival. Above my expectations and would recommend to anyone, will be booking with you on our next trip in December.

Booked a taxi from Bristol airport to Hereford hospital for my nephew who travelled from Madrid to come and see his dying grandfather. None of us wanted to leave my dad as it was obvious his time was near. I was worried as I had read the reviews and it felt like real leap of faith as I had no idea who this company was but had read some of these reviews. I hassled them quite a bit about the booking - even considering cancelling it as I was so nervous about my nephew being stranded. His flight was delayed 2 hours getting in around 1am . The driver was there , no issues at all and drive my nephew back to us without any problems whatsoever- other than him missing his grandad by 10 minutes 😞 So thank you x

Efficient booking

Booking was efficient and your Chat function was extremely helpful. The driver was friendly but I did not feel totally safe on the way home: he drove one-handed at times and often veered a little on the highway.

Shocked to read previous reviews

Shocked to read previous reviews. For us this company was great. We had rebooked and paid for a journey from Gatwick to Victoria Station as the trains were on strike. Our airline company cancelled our flight but we kept the company well informed of this and even though there was a lot of disruption for us the driver was waiting at the airport and drove us straight to Heathrow in a lovely clean Mercedes. Personally I couldn't fault the service we had that day.

Return journey doubled in price whilst…

Return journey doubled in price whilst on holiday. Booked a return journey to Bristol airport £49 each way. The first leg of the journey went very well. Whilst on holiday we received an email asking for an additional £40 as they had to change driver or we could have a part refund for the return journey, but this would of left us stranded at Bristol airport at 2.30 am, so we reluctantly agreed to pay. It transpired that the substitute driver was only being paid £6 more than the original return journey of £49 (£55). We have been informed that the the driver who cancelled our return journey would have had to pay a penalty of the difference of between his fare and the new fare. We felt we have paid £40 for a change of driver that has cost this company nothing. Subsequently to submitting this review we have been contacted by OTS who explained that the charge was an error and we have been refunded £34.

Paid £65 for a journey that that’s just cost me £35 in a black cab from Edinburgh airport to the grass market area. There was supposed to be a pick up service and they arrived 30minutes late. Taxi driver was a nice guy but OTS service rubbish and they are clearly just an expensive middleman. Best avoided.

Never Use This Company Absolutely…

Never Use This Company Absolutely SHOCKING DRIVER & company DONT CARE !!!!!! Our journey was quite the wild ride yesterday. On winding 2-lane roads signed for 30mph Mohammed was careening around corners at 55-60 mph, and passing cars and lorries on blind curves. When we asked him to please slow down he went even faster. We know you are not responsible for his behavior but we’ll report him to the City of Edinburgh Council, Licensing Section. Even our friend Bob, a former air force helicopter pilot in Vietnam, was very concerned. 😳

Terrible company and service

Terrible service. Worst I’ve ever experienced and in hindsight, overpriced. Will never use them again. Waited over an hour for my expected pick up time and called about 4 times to find out where the driver was. Each time I was told I had to wait longer. 20 min, another.15 min, 7 min but no driver. Final time I called them they said there driver cancelled and had a mechanical fault despite already confirming he was at the airport dropping off another passenger. It seems they then booked me with a 3rd party taxi and a had to wait a further 15-20 min. Really unhappy with the lack of updates and ability to contact the driver. Cannot stress enough how dissatisfied i am with this company and their service.

Punctual, Friendly and Competitive Prices.

I heard about this organization from a major river cruise travel company agent who said that the airport transfer service they offered customers was actually through Onward Travel Solutions so I thought that I'd give them a try and go directly onto OTS's website for a quote. It turned out to be a great decision as the drivers on each occasion were punctual, professional, whilst friendly and their vehicles were very clean and well presented. I normally only take time to provide negative reviews where I think it's important to attempt to prevent someone from experiencing a similar poor service but I felt that this particular business, whose charges by the way are extremely competitive, highly deserved the posting of a positive review.

Your driver arrived a half hour late…

Your driver arrived a half hour late for the initial pick up to take me to the airport and then drove like a lunatic! Somebody at the office told me that you would arrange or do something “special” by way of recompense for the late arrival … that “ something” never happened. This was the 3rd and final time I will be using your company for any future return airport trips

Worst customer service

Very rude on customers. They knew that during holidays time UK immigration takes time. On 2nd September due to train strikes had to book taxi from this website. I had to pay £34 for one hour more delay than usual delay. As they are experts in airport transfers should advice customers and try to be friendly. Anyways im totally not happy with their behaviour mailny the lady customer support. I would advise not to book this tax and instead try for another taxi services.

Unexpected price increase

Unexpected price increase. Booked and pre-paid taxi, only to be told 2 days before that price would be £10 more due to availability of driver. They agreed their T&Cs did not specify that customer would have to pay any extra costs, so I refused. They said tough. Absolutely not impressed. Do not recommend.

Never again back to arrow taxis again ,never fail me

Never again , they claim to be an airport taxi company, yet when we had a small delay the driver was continuosly ringing me saying i was out of order ! when i explained that as an experienced airport carrier you must understand these problems, he said im no airport taxi ! i had to pay a large amount to the company to get home, they did say pay the driver the cash ! common con !

No responsibility taken for their services.

Booking made with the help of online chat with one of their booking agents. Full adress was given but with one erroneous digit in the postcode. The adress wasn't crosschecked and the fact that it didn't match the postcode was not caught by the booking agent. The driver blindly navigated to the postcode which resulted in a wrong drop off followed by additional charges directly debited from credit card. Although the booking was made and confirmed with the full correct adress this company denies any liability for their part in the booking process through their chat functionality. Very unprofessional! Don't expect any help from customer service if anything goes wrong. Any suggestion to solve this issue was declined. Very customer unfriendly! By the way, the driver showed up 30 minutes late. I guess it happens.

Late airport collection

Despite pre booking taxi for collection at landing; after I landed to call driver, the job hadn’t been planned so I needed to wait for 40 mins! Would have been much easier to call Uber / get taxi from airport, but journey is pre-paid. Disappointing service. The only time I have ever pre booked collection as it was late at night! I was honest in landing time and had no luggage to ensure quick departure . Unfortunately my advice is to lie on landing time or ensure you are not waiting!

Do Not Use - driver never arrived to take us to Heathrow for a flight. When I called after the time of pick up passed and we hadn't heard anything I was told the driver was on his way and will call me. 5 minutes later I was called to say he wasn't coming so they can refund me or try find another driver but not sure when.

Driver took us to wrong place and stranded us.

A driver turned up at our house today gave us our Name and confirmed our destination and called prior to arrival. It appears that the subcontractor made a mistake and sent two drivers and we got the wrong one. (Not at our fault) We were taken to Hammersmith not terminal 5 and when the driver realised his company made a mistake we were dumped out in Hammersmith and left stranded. He had a better paying job to go to so turfed us out. Having trusted this company for 10 years they left us stranded before our flight and refused to refund will have to dispute with credit card company. Staff were incredibly rude and insensitive cannot say avoid enough!

Booked a return journey from the airport, outbound pick up went really well, I tipped £10 which I think was adequate. Driver seemed really nice and confirmed he was the one picking me up on the return journey, landed late at night and he never arrived, no message nothing left us stranded at the airport! Had to then pay extra for a taxi to take us home, so unprofessional and just disgusting behaviour

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Booked journey from home to Manchester airport and return. The pick up from home was 20 minutes late! The pick up from the airport is a fiasco - you have to be out within an hour or book in advance for an extended wait period. So basically you need to be clairvoyant! As a single Mom with 3 kids I did not want to be hanging around the airport after a 26 hour journey so didn't book extended time, rushed around and was still later than the hour - so was charged extra. When questioned why especially as they were late for pick up at home, I was told I should have complained after the first journey. The booking is the full journey so the complaint should be after the return. Will never use again, totally unrealistic.

Rude driver

My company booked this as an airport transfer from Heathrow to my house. Driver kept ringing me asking if I was ready before baggage had even started arriving. Then he complained he'd had to wait for over an hour for me- well I'm sorry I had to collect my bags! He wasn't in the meet and greet area when I came through so I helped my colleague to his van with 6 trolleys of baggage. Lots of rude WhatsApp from him and he was still in his car instead of the meet and greet area. Didn't have a name board when he finally did appear so how was I meant to find him? Moving on to the actual journey- he sat in the third lane of a relatively empty motorway, driving at about 64mph with lots of cars having to undertake him as he was causing a blockage

There was a minor problem with finding each other in Terminal 5 Heathrow, but the telephone contact worked well. The driver took an excellent alternative route back to our home in Oxford in view of a congested M25. No complaints and a reasonable fare price.

We were mistaken in thinking this was a taxi company - it is not! It's an agent which commissions taxi companies - the one we had was very good in terms of driver and car, but since this was Heathrow, it took more than an hour to get through the queues at passport control and get our cases from an international flight - hardly uncommon at Heathrow, as everyone knows. We got in touch with the driver, with whom we communicated several times to let him know where we got to, and he was fully aware of the situation. Once in the car, OTS phoned to say that the time between the registered landing of the flight and when we got in the car was over an hour, so they charged us an extra £10 for it. They are the ones who use the opportunities to add these extras one, the taxi company doesn't. And any outfit dealing with airports and especially Heathrow ought to know very well that their timing is not possible in the early evening. My advice: USE A PROPER HONEST TAXI COMPANY

Pleasant Journey

The driver turned up 5 minutes early, texted me so I could easily find him outside the hotel. The car was clean (looked recently hoovered) and the journey was pleasant. We arrived slightly earlier than I expected but not because he was exceeding speed limits (which he wasn't). I have to say I was slightly dreading it having read other reviews (after booking), but I found a nice friendly driver and excellent service.

Excellent price and service

Excellent price and service. Very smart and modern Mercedes car left us feeling like we were being chauffeured rather than taxied! The driver was extremely smart and polite and offered us bottled mineral water on arrival. Above my expectations and would recommend to anyone, will be booking with you on our next trip in December.

Booked a taxi from Bristol airport to Hereford hospital for my nephew who travelled from Madrid to come and see his dying grandfather. None of us wanted to leave my dad as it was obvious his time was near. I was worried as I had read the reviews and it felt like real leap of faith as I had no idea who this company was but had read some of these reviews. I hassled them quite a bit about the booking - even considering cancelling it as I was so nervous about my nephew being stranded. His flight was delayed 2 hours getting in around 1am . The driver was there , no issues at all and drive my nephew back to us without any problems whatsoever- other than him missing his grandad by 10 minutes 😞 So thank you x

I have now used Onward Travel Solutions for 6 journeys to Heathrow and 6 journeys home from Heathrow. All the drivers have been polite and on time and most keeping me up to date with their whereabouts. The cars have been spotless and the drivers friendly and helpful. Booking is very easy and when I had a flight cancelled in Sicily due to Volcanic ash it was no problem rebooking with text and email Booking details come by return with drivers numbers The cost is considerably less than my local companies which is a bonus

Efficient booking

Shocked to read previous reviews. For us this company was great. We had rebooked and paid for a journey from Gatwick to Victoria Station as the trains were on strike. Our airline company cancelled our flight but we kept the company well informed of this and even though there was a lot of disruption for us the driver was waiting at the airport and drove us straight to Heathrow in a lovely clean Mercedes. Personally I couldn't fault the service we had that day.

Driver contacted us way in advance

Driver contacted us way in advance, reminding us where he would meet us etc at the airport and reminding us to confirm when we had arrived. That made it easier for us, we didn’t have to remember to make the first call to him. Driver was punctual, pleasant. We will use this company again.
