It was very clear early on that Lise was not only a thorough educator, but through her teachings she’s really sharing her passion for scuba and the ocean with you. I couldn’t recommend this team enough… if you’re visiting the Dominican Republic and looking for a private tour to discover scuba with friends and family, or maybe you want to get certified yourself and become an ambassador of the ocean… look no further!

Absolutely fantastic day trip! They exceed all expectations. Very well organized. Edwar is a blast and makes everything fun. All equipment is new and super clean. Nobody will leave hungry and the food on the island is delicious. Highly recommend El Tour Caribe!

We got us a private tour after seeing the fantastic reviews on Google. We had 10 of us, 4 adults and 6 children. Half the group got picked up from punta Cana and the rest meet on the beach at bayahibe. Lise was our fantastic guide who let us start early and to beat the crowds. At every spot we were ahead of the herds of other tourists and had the best spots all to ourselves. We had a. Captain and a snorkeling guide on board too. Lunch on the island wad delicious and all drinks and snacks included. If you have a group of you I highly recommend the private boat. Its not much more per person than the generic boat tours that squeeze too many on a boat. You will have the best day. The kids loved the speed of the boat. Lise knows the area so well and is a joy to talk to. She has perfect English and does all the translation you need with any Spanish people if you need. Thank you so much!

There were 6 of us, my wife and I, our 2 adult daughters, and 2 friends all in Punta Cana to celebrate our daughter’s 30 the birthday. Our Airbnb host recommended Lise Menard, (the owner of El Tour Caribe), who happened to live in the same complex as the host. After calling Lise the first morning after our arrival, she came over within 15 minutes to speak with 6 of us personally to see what we wanted to do and offered some excursions. Our first excursions was the to the Samana peninsula via reefjet plane; transfer to a mini bus took us to ranch; boarded horses for the trek swim in “Salto El Limón” waterfalls, back to ranch for lunch, bus back down the mountain to board a boat and go to Cayo Levantado Island, have beach time and go back to mainland and airport then fly home. Our second excursion was a snorkel/discovery dive excursion to Saona Island on which Lise led the dive instruction. We enjoyed this tour so much, that we went on a third excursion which included 3 more PADI scuba certification dives (with Lise) for 2 of us and snorkeling for 2 others. Before and after our excursions, Lise answered all our questions via WhatsApp (such as recommended tips for guides and local golf courses) and provide pictures of our upcoming tours, additional recommendations for restaurants. In addition, the driver for our excursions also escorted our daughters & friends to a nightclub. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend Lise and El Tour Caribe for your excursions! In addition to an amazing tour operator and dive instructor, Lise is an author of book series “Remi the Lost Manatee” Children's Book! During our van trip to the dive areas, Lise educated our group on the coral restoration efforts and the educational mission of FUNDEMAR- an organization dedicated to promoting the sustainable use of marine ecosystems and coastal resources in the Dominican Republic.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an amazing crew, best dive trip I’ve ever been on, dive guides were outstanding, boat crew (Edward, Victor, Ida, the Captain) I can’t say enough about the trip other than don’t miss this one! Can’t wait to come back and dive and party with them again! Love y’all!!!

We just returned from our trip with El Tour Caribe. What an amazing experience. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the boat. There were only two of us to enjoy the huge boat for the day. We started with snorkelling over the sunken ship. Continued to the reef, and completed our day in the natural sea pool surrounded by the star fish. The attention and service were received were impeccable. We had a pleasure of being with Lise and Franko for the day. We felt pampered! We also saw some rare incredible sea creatures. SAONA ISLAND (CATUANO) & STARFISH CAY (PALMILLA)

At around 10:00 am, you will board the luxury catamaran for a full-day trip to Isla Saona with its unspoilt beauty. This is the ultimate tour to unwind, and the first item on the agenda is to sit back and relax under the shade of a coconut tree, or soak up the rays under the Caribbean sun. After approximately three hours of leisure time on Isla Saona, we’ll head to another tropical paradise, Las Palmillas. The relaxation continues here with a dip in the country’s biggest natural pool, Palmilla, while keeping your eyes peeled for the famous giant starfish. Snacks will also be served during beach time. On the way back to Bayahibe, take in the picturesque views as we navigate along the coast.

Lunch: Lunch is available on the island of Isla Saona for an additional price.

We took a private catamaran on wednesday, went snorkeling, private beach, passed by dolphins. The experience was so good that we booked the whole thing again on Saturday. Our fleet is composed of various types of Catamarans , including Santa Maria and Forever Teresa which are used mainly for our Semi-Private Adults Only Tour .

The first stop is a magical snorkeling experience where you will be mesmerized by an array of marvelous fish in the beautiful Caribbean waters . Our snorkeling area is a Coral Nursery where "The Ecological Bavaro Reefs" foundation has a conservation program that has been working on restoring its natural habitat. The planting and building of these artificial reefs to actively progress marine life began 3 years ago. The Ministry of Environment has rated our project one of the 3 biggest coral gardening projects in the Dominican Republic . Our team will gladly explain the process to you during this stop. Then, make your way to a stunning deserted beach where you can enjoy all the fresh coconuts and coconut cocktails . Do not be shy to ask for seconds. Now if that's not a treat, wait until you get to our third destination. The last destination is the natural pool , where you can enjoy the best drinks straight from our floating bar . At this location, you can enjoy hanging out in the shallow waters with your family, friends, and fellow passengers.

On top of all that, we almost forgot to mention the fact that Hispaniola is the only excursion company in all the Dominican Republic to have a floating kitchen . Yes, you read that right. Our fleet consists of four modern catamarans, a brand-new floating kitchen, floating bar and two platforms for the to/from shore transfers. Our catamarans are well maintained and always clean. We are the only company to offer the floating kitchen experience, guarantying your amazingly fresh and tasty meal, grilled right in front of your eyes.

Catamaran Santa Maria: This is our 41 foot engine powered Catamaran with a slide, designed and built in September 2013 specially for our company.

Catamaran Forever Teresa: The biggest catamaran, a 60 foot engine powered Catamaran launched in February 2015 and also specially designed to our company specifications.

Catamaran Maite: Sailing Catamaran of 39 feet added to our fleet in March 2016. Enjoy a the cruise on the most modern sailing catamaran in the Punta Cana / Bavaro.

GrandMa Catamaran: A 40 feet sailing catamaran with a slide on it. Perfect for medium groups, private events and activities.

Bávaro Reefs Foundation

Hispaniola Aquatic Adventures is the Founder of “ The Ecological Bávaro Reefs Foundation ”. This foundation has a conservation program that has been working on restoring its natural habitat. The planting and building of these artificial reefs to actively progress marine life began in 2016. The Ministry of Environment has rated our project one of the 3 biggest coral gardening projects in the Dominican Republic. We are also monitoring the turtles and our artificial reefs. Our brand-new aquariums used for micro fragmentation are available to see with your own eyes, up close and personal, upon arrival to our check in lobby. Through the coral micro fragmentation technique developed by marine biologist David Vaughan, the “The Ecological Bávaro Reefs Foundation”, has begun effective implants of corals in the Bávaro area, thus contributing to the healthy growth of marine life off the coast of the previously mentioned locality. This method consists of making small cuts of living coral, which motivates its growth. A technique which would usually take 50 years to grow naturally, is achieved in a few months. On the other hand, turtle monitoring has provided a safe zone for the habitat of this species. Whether it be eliminating poaching, providing adequate food, protecting spawning areas, among others, the life of this species that transits the waters of the Bavaro coast is prolonged. These tasks are carried out effectively in order to promote sustainable eco-tourism with the participation and collaboration of the Ministry of Environment. Last but not least, Hispaniola uses 2 dollars of all income as donation to institutions that benefit the community, support homeless kids (Fundación un Mundo Mejor) and the environment (Fundación Ecológica los Arrecifes de Bávaro), so whenever you on one of our tours you can feel proud that you are helping support these wonderful causes. Our family also contributes to Rescatame, which is the only Animal Shelter Foundation in Punta Cana. We believe in second chances, so we adopt a street dog occasionally. If you are welcomed to our check in area with 1 or 2 lovely pups, you now know why.
