Virtual Visits

Ole miss rolls out new virtual visits, by mollie musgrave.

For starters and a fun, general overview of campus, visitors may want to check out this YouTube video.

Incoming students also can learn more about the university by scheduling a session with the Office of Admissions.

“With our virtual visit sessions, students can register on our website , said Mason Tilghman, assistant director of admissions for campus visits. “There is a link at the top of the page that reads ‘ Schedule a Visit .’

“Once a student clicks on that link, it will take them to our visit calendar where they can choose the date that they want to join us for a virtual information session via Zoom,” Tilghman said.

During each session, Tilghman starts out by giving an overview of the university. This includes talking about class sizes, campus layout and campus safety. Then he moves on to academics and gives a brief overview of each academic department before talking about special programs.

After the presentation, a couple of student ambassadors join the meeting for a short Q&A. Visitors won’t just hear from directors but also have the opportunity to hear from current students. The meeting is then turned over to directors in Student Housing.

“I usually close in talking about student life, getting involved and why it’s important to ‘visit’ each campus they are considering, even if it’s a virtual visit,” Tilghman said.

Student housing tours are offered daily as part of campus visits, which are administered by the Office of Admissions . If you’d like to visit student housing, please register for a campus visit . Due to the number of visitors we have on campus each day, individual student housing tours are not available.

During the student housing tour, two of the three types of freshman housing that we offer are shown. Visitors will see a showroom in a traditional residence hall and a showroom in a contemporary residence hall . Student rooms in the residential colleges are identical to the rooms in our contemporary halls with the exception of floor type.

For visitors who wish to view all of the amenities in our residential colleges, tours of Residential College South and Luckyday Residential College are available by appointment. If you’d like to tour one of these residential facilities, please contact the Office of Admissions .

We appreciate your interest in the University of Mississippi School of Law and would love to have you visit! Seeing our institution in person is the most effective way to learn about the unique opportunities Ole Miss Law offers.

During your visit, you receive a 30-minute tour of our building led by a Dean’s Leadership Council Ambassador or an admissions staff member. Following the tour, you will have the opportunity to meet with the admissions staff to answer any questions you may have.

Tours are available by online reservation at 11 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday. For another date and/or time, please email [email protected] .

Space is limited, and tours must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. An email confirmation will be sent to you after the submission of your request.
