• Building upon our current best in class sterilization protocols by going above and beyond OSHA and CDC guidelines with enhanced infection control procedures.
• Disinfecting all surfaces and patient rooms, reception areas, doorknobs, and restrooms after every patient.
• Adjustments to patient schedule and check in procedures to maintain social distancing.
• Mobile check in options and having patients wait in their vehicles during busy times to limit person-person contact.

What you can do to Stay Healthy and Stop the Spread of Germs!

The CDC publishes a number of best practices that are designed to prevent the transmission of respiratory diseases like COVID-19. Help us prevent the spread of germs at our office, in your Home, and throughout your Community by following CDC guidelines:

• Wash Your Hands: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
• Apply Hand Sanitizer: Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
• Avoid Close Contact: Keep your distance from people that are sick.
• Use Cough Etiquette: Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then dispose of the tissue. If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your elbow -not your hands.
• Greet Without Hands: Avoid shaking hands and nod, wave, bow, or bump elbows. Protect Your Face: Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Wear PPE gear when appropriate.

Dental Safari’s mobile dental office is a self-contained, fully-functioning dental operatory where children receive the same professional services as those performed in a traditional office. Because we bring our office to your child’s school, children need only to step out of class to access dental care.

Services We Offer

Regular cleanings help keep gums healthy and teeth cavity-free. A dental cleaning includes removal of tartar and plaque and polishing of the teeth to remove stains and prevent further buildup of plaque.

Dental sealants are made of a safe resin material which is applied to the surfaces of teeth (commonly permanent molars) to prevent cavities. The sealant material fills in the crevices of a tooth and “seals” off the tooth from cavity-causing agents like food and plaque. The teeth are prepared for the sealant application and the sealant is painted directly onto the chewing surface of each tooth and then hardens. Sealants are applied in one visit.

Fluoride is a natural substance that helps strengthen teeth and prevent decay. Fluoride treatments are administered at this office as an important component of pediatric dental treatment. The fluoride is applied to the teeth in a gel, foam, or varnish form.

Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) is a caries arresting topical medication that stops the spread of decay for a period of time.

If your child is found to have urgent dental needs following examination, we will provide you with contact information of local Dentists that are accepting new patients. However, The Dental Safari Company does not just provide an examination and move on. If a child does have urgent dental needs, they can be scheduled for follow-up dental care by us.

Preventing dental disease is dependent upon good daily habits. Our professionals will visit classrooms and educate students on healthy dental lifestyles that will benefit them throughout the year until our next visit.

The goal of Sherman Menser, DDS, and the caring team at Safari Dental is to provide general and cosmetic dentistry services to people of all ages living in and around Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Dr. Menser is the only African-American orthodontist in the state. He serves a diverse group of clients, including members of the Latin American community. To ensure patients feel comfortable and welcomed, the team offers Spanish-speaking staff and Spanish language resources.
