DRIVER ASSISTANCE MODE
A customisable function that brings together four Driver Assistance features: Forward Collision Warning, Lane Assistance, Speed Limit Warning and Speed Limit Notification
EASY FUNCTIONALITY
Three modes.
Our latest steering wheels give you direct access to the new Driver Assistance Mode with the press of a button, while keeping your hands on the wheel. With each subsequent press, you can toggle between Low, Custom or High mode.
Your vehicle will always start in a set mode, this is market dependent. 1†
High – All four features are active in High mode. The Overspeed Warning and Change of Speed Limit Warning now have a new audible alert.
Custom – Select which of the four Driver Assistance features you want to make use of. Your preferences are stored in the system and will activate when you select Custom mode.
Low – In Low mode, only Forward Collision Warning is enabled.
DRIVING FEATURES
InControl includes standard and optional Driving Assistance features to help you make the most of your Land Rover, delivering the safest possible drive wherever you choose to go. Check with your retailer to discover the options that are best for you.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Set your cruising speed, and a distance to maintain from vehicles in front, so your vehicle adapts to slowing traffic automatically.
EMERGENCY BRAKING
Emergency Braking can help to prevent collisions with other vehicles, pedestrians or cycles. It displays a warning in the event of an imminent collision, and automatically applies the brakes if no action is taken.
LANE KEEP ASSIST
Lane Keep Assist detects when your vehicle is unintentionally drifting out of your lane, and applies a corrective torque to the steering wheel, encouraging you to guide your vehicle back.
BLIND SPOT ASSIST
Blind Spot Assist 2 helps you to change lanes more safely, illuminating a small warning light in the wing mirror if your vehicle detects another vehicle your blind spot. Additional steering correction encourages you to guide your vehicle away if a potential collision is detected.
TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION WITH ADAPTIVE SPEED LIMITER
Clearly displays speed limits and ‘no overtaking’ signs on the instrument cluster or optional Head-up Display. When activated, Adaptive Speed Limiter uses Traffic Sign Recognition 3 to adjust your vehicle's speed accordingly.
DRIVER CONDITION MONITOR
Driver Condition Monitor detects if you’re starting to feel drowsy by monitoring steering inputs, brake and throttle pedal activity to give you an early warning when you need to take a break.
REAR COLLISION MONITOR
Rear Collision Monitor can detect if a vehicle approaching from behind is not slowing down and presents a potential collision threat. The system will then attempt to alert the driver to brake by automatically flashing the hazards lights.
PARKING FEATURES
Helping you manoeuvre your Land Rover into the tightest urban parking space. Check with your retailer to discover the options that are best for you.
3D SURROUND CAMERA
3D Surround Camera helps you see more. New 3D exterior perspectives alongside a 360° overhead view make manoeuvring easier, while off-road views including the innovative ClearSight Ground View provide you with confidence when scaling various terrains.
FRONT AND REAR PARKING AID
Makes manoeuvring even easier. Sensors located in the front and rear bumpers are activated manually, or when reverse is selected. As you park, the Touchscreen display and audio feedback indicates how close you are to obstacles.
REAR TRAFFIC MONITOR
Rear Traffic Monitor warns you of vehicles, pedestrians or other hazards approaching from either side. Particularly useful when reversing out of a parking bay.
CLEAR EXIT MONITOR
Clear Exit Monitor helps passengers stay safe as they exit the vehicle by providing an illuminated warning in the door if an approaching hazard is detected, such as passing vehicles and cyclists.

1 Important: vehicles in GSR II markets and/or NCAP markets will revert to 'High' mode at every ignition cycle. In non GSR II and/or non NCAP markets, the selected driver assistance mode remains in the vehicle’s memory and is not altered by an ignition cycle. Regardless of market, the driver-selected settings made in 'Custom' mode will be remembered by the vehicle. GSRII (General Safety Regulation II) is a safety legislation which came into force for new models in 2022 and will apply to already-launched models in 2024
2 Blind Spot Assist can help prevent collisions. If your vehicle detects another car in your blind spot when you begin to change lanes, additional steering correction encourages you to guide your vehicle away if a potential collision is detected.

The third-generation model is the most desirable, advanced and dynamically capable yet.
HERO FILM - INTRODUCING THE NEW RANGE ROVER SPORT
A suite of powerful and efficient powertrains includes six-cylinder extended range Electric Hybrids, a potent new V8 and mild hybrid six-cylinder petrol and diesel Ingenium engines. Pure-electric propulsion will be introduced in 2024, as Land Rover continues its electrification journey.
New Range Rover Sport is available in S, SE, HSE and Autobiography specifications, with a First Edition available throughout the first year of production featuring a specially curated specification.
The exceptional New Range Rover Sport sets new standards as the ultimate sporting luxury SUV, building on seventeen years of unique customer appeal. It is the latest embodiment of our vision to create the world's most desirable modern luxury vehicles, effortlessly blending new levels of sustainability with the signature qualities that have made Range Rover Sport so popular.
Thierry Bolloré
Chief executive officer, jaguar land rover, design in detail.
The sophisticated exterior is unmistakably Range Rover Sport with taut surfacing, a dynamic stance and instantly recognisable profile, perfectly accentuated by stealth-like detailing and muscular proportions – giving the impression the vehicle is poised and ready.
Dramatic proportions accentuate the Range Rover Sport’s distinctive character, with short overhangs, an assertive front-end and steeply raked glazing at the front and back. These trademark elements provide a strong and imposing road presence that communicate power and performance.
STUDIO - NEW RANGE ROVER SPORT
The sculpted exterior is detailed with exquisite finishes such as a stealth-like front grille and Digital LED lighting units, which create a distinctive Daytime Running Light (DRL) signature. The eye-catching designs, the slimmest ever fitted to a Land Rover, sit above a sculpted, double-aperture lower bumper that incorporates a horizontal bisecting body-colour element that creates greater visual width, enhanced by black detailing.
Perfectly honed design elements are echoed at the rear, incorporating a sculpted tailgate with a full-width feature bearing the Range Rover script. Uninterrupted LED light graphics introduce surface LED technology to a production vehicle for the first time, providing a crisp and contemporary look at night that is vivid and consistent when viewed from any angle. A characteristic shoulder line runs the length of the vehicle, accentuated by new lower fender details and the longest spoiler ever fitted to a Range Rover.
The clean lines of the exterior are enhanced by beautifully executed flush glazing and door handles, a hidden waist rail finisher and laser-welded roof for a precise, technical and sophisticated appearance.
The new Dynamic model brings an even sharper focus to the performance SUV’s purposeful character with unique exterior design elements. Satin Grey alloy wheels are joined by Satin Burnished Copper finishes for the bonnet louvres and side ingots while the front grille and Range Rover lettering are finished in Matte Graphite Atlas.
With unique front and rear bumpers and bespoke lower cladding finished in body colour, the Dynamic delivers the most dramatic interpretation of the Range Rover Sport formula.
Our latest range Rover Sport embraces fully our modernist approach of vehicle design whilst amplifying its unquestionable sporting and confident character.
Prof Gerry McGovern OBE
Chief creative officer, range rover.
New Range Rover Sport’s reductive design extends to its all-new interior, which features the trademark Range Rover Command Driving Position, the latest technologies and the finest materials, which combine for a compelling balance of sartorial elegance and visceral desire. The cockpit-like cabin sets the tone for the dynamic driving experience, providing excellent visibility while simultaneously cocooning the driver with a high, sloping centre console and intuitive technologies.
INTERIOR - NEW RANGE ROVER SPORT
Innovative and sustainable material choices include tactile and lightweight Ultrafabrics™ premium textiles finished in attractive new Duo Tone colourways, while a unique textile option that extends to the dashboard and door detailing is also available. Alternatives include luxurious grained, Windsor or soft Semi-Aniline leather options.
These tactile materials seamlessly blend with new Moonlight Chrome interior finishers while elements like the integrated audio speakers, developed with Meridian and hidden behind the textile of the rear doors, contribute to the clean, crisp and modern aesthetic.
Engaging on every journey
New Range Rover Sport introduces more advanced chassis technologies than ever before, providing a comprehensive dynamic toolkit for the most engaging and dynamically capable driving experience.
UNDER THE SKIN - THE NEW RANGE ROVER SPORT
The inherent stiffness and strength of the flexible mixed-metal architecture (MLA-Flex) – which provides up to 35 per cent higher torsional stiffness than the previous Range Rover Sport – lays the foundations for this technology. It harmoniously works with a suite of systems governed by the Integrated Chassis Control system – all specially tuned for New Range Rover Sport.
Land Rover’s pioneering flexible MLA architecture and the latest chassis systems come together to deliver the highest levels of dynamism we’ve ever seen on Range Rover Sport. Integrated Chassis Control governs the comprehensive suite of innovations, co-ordinating everything from the latest switchable-volume air suspension system to our Dynamic Response Pro electronic active roll control. The result is the most engaging and thrilling Range Rover Sport ever.
Nick Collins
Executive director vehicle programmes, jaguar land rover.
New Dynamic Response Pro works hand-in-hand with the latest generation Dynamic Air Suspension, which introduces switchable-volume air springs for the first time.
Dynamic Response Pro provides ultimate roll control via a 48-volt electronic active roll control system, capable of applying up to 1,400Nm of torque across each axle, for a confidence-inspiring driving experience and new levels of body control and cornering composure.
Dynamic Air Suspension is fitted to every New Range Rover Sport and the intelligent system enhances the bandwidth of the suspension. This works by varying the pressure within the chambers (higher pressure provides stiffer damping) to deliver traditional Range Rover comfort with the dynamic handling expected from the Range Rover Sport. To optimise responses, the vehicle monitors the road ahead using eHorizon navigation data to pre-emptively prime for upcoming bends.
Adaptive Dynamics 2 technology contributes to dynamic capability by continuously controlling the Active Twin Valve Dampers to reduce unwanted body movements. It monitors external factors up to 500 times per second to deliver the perfect responses and, in harmony with the other chassis technologies, delivers the most precise and composed driving dynamics of any Range Rover Sport.
New Range Rover Sport’s cornering agility is taken to a new level with All-Wheel Steering, Torque Vectoring by Braking and the Electronic Active Differential. All-Wheel Steering provides rear-wheel steering of up to 7.3 degrees out of phase with the front wheels to achieve enhanced agility and manoeuvrability at low speeds, while turning in-phase for superior stability at high speeds. This gives New Range Rover Sport the turning circle of a hatchback and on-road agility of a much smaller car.
MLA-FLEX BODY ARCHITECTURE
ELECTRONIC ACTIVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL
The very best of the New Range Rover Sport’s chassis systems combine in the Stormer Handling Pack, which includes Dynamic Response Pro, All-Wheel Steering, the Electronic Active Differential with Torque Vectoring by Braking and Configurable Programs. The latter provides the opportunity to personalise the driving modes, tailoring the driving experience both on and off road. All elements of this pack are standard on P510e Electric Hybrid and P530 powertrains.
All New Range Rover Sport models are fitted with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, which intuitively anticipates where traction is required, efficiently engaging to provide the most effective progress in all conditions, while optimising efficiency.
Enhancing the off-road performance is Land Rover’s latest Terrain Response 2® system, which intelligently applies the most appropriate settings for the terrain. New Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control makes its debut on New Range Rover Sport and helps drivers navigate tricky terrain by maintaining steady progress according to the ground conditions. Drivers can select one of four comfort settings and the system intelligently adjusts the speed accordingly, allowing the driver to focus on steering.
Epitome of sporting luxury
New Range Rover Sport makes every journey an event. It can be honed to be as dynamically engaging as the driver desires, while offering enhanced levels of refinement and comfort. This ability to combine dual characters, offering heightened luxury and driver-focused engagement, is made possible by a comprehensive set of technologies and features.
PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS - THE NEW RANGE ROVER SPORT
Providing the perfect foundation for an engaging and supportive journey are 22-way adjustable, heated and ventilated electric memory front seats with massage function and winged headrests. The flagship seats provide the ultimate support for longer journeys and involving drives on winding roads, while rear passengers benefit from ergonomically optimised seat geometry, with a 31mm increase in legroom and 20mm greater knee clearance, for greater comfort and support.
Next-generation Cabin Air Purification Pro is available to create and maintain the perfect driving environment. It combines PM2.5 filtration and nanoe TM X technology to significantly reduce odours, bacteria and allergens, including the SARS-CoV-2 virus 4 . A second nanoe TM X device is fitted to the second row to provide consistent air quality throughout the cabin. An advanced CO 2 Management function allows owners to purify the cabin before a journey, or while they are driving – ensuring increased alertness for every drive, and enhanced wellbeing for all occupants.
Powerful Meridian audio options are available, and the Meridian Signature Sound System is the most advanced and powerful audio system ever fitted to a Range Rover Sport. It presents an enveloping sound experience using 29 speakers, a new subwoofer and up to 1,430W of amplifier power – including four headrest speakers that enable those travelling in the four main seats of the vehicle to experience personal sound zones.
Next generation Active Noise Cancellation 2 plays its part here, reducing the effect of road and tyre noise entering the cabin for ultimate cabin refinement or to allow occupants to enjoy the undiluted soundtrack provided by New Range Rover Sport’s powertrain. This experience is heightened when the vehicle is in the Dynamic driving mode, when the advanced system brings the engine sounds to the fore. In normal driving, microphones and accelerometers inside each wheel arch constantly monitor the sounds passing into the vehicle, while digital processors calculate the level of noise-cancelling sound required to filter this from the cabin – much like a pair of high-end headphones.
Instinctive convenience contributes to the sense of modern luxury and New Range Rover features Deployable Door Handles with Proximity Sensing, Soft Door Close and Approach Unlock, for effortless entry to the vehicle while preserving the clean lines of the exterior. Automated Walkaway Lock ensures security is guaranteed.
Seamless technology
Land Rover’s powerful Electrical Vehicle Architecture (EVA 2.0) supports an ecosystem of seamless connected technologies, including Software Over The Air (SOTA). The clever technology provides remote updates for 63 electronic modules, ensuring New Range Rover Sport remains at the cutting edge of innovation, modern technology and services throughout its life.
Living with the New Range Rover Sport couldn’t be easier thanks to its suite of connected technologies. Our award-winning Pivi Pro infotainment is at the heart of the experience and its haptic, curved floating touchscreen provides intuitive control of the vehicle systems. To help drivers maintain their focus, embedded Amazon Alexa voice AI is on hand, so customers can keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel while doing anything from setting the navigation and placing calls to selecting media sources.
Alex Heslop
Director of electrical engineering, jaguar land rover.
The award-winning Pivi Pro infotainment features a high resolution floating 13.1-inch curved touchscreen positioned at the centre of the modernist dashboard. Controlling everything from navigation to media and vehicle settings, it learns the user’s habits and intelligently personalises the onboard experience, becoming a truly intuitive personal assistant.
Driver-focused innovations include a 13.1-inch haptic touchscreen and 13.7-inch Interactive Driver Display
Pivi Pro features an easy-to-use interface with a home screen that can be personalised to include most frequently used functions, while the majority of features are accessed within just two taps of the main screen. Haptic feedback enhances the system by providing positive feedback to the operator’s inputs, reducing the need for the driver to take their eyes off the road to confirm their selection. The Pivi Pro screen is complemented by a 13.7-inch Interactive Driver Display, with high-definition graphics that echo the main Pivi system, and a reconfigurable layout so drivers can see the information that’s most important to them.
Amazon Alexa brings 5 a new level of convenience, providing the ability to control various settings and features using natural voice commands while reducing the potential for distraction. Alexa is embedded in Pivi Pro and can simply be activated by saying “Alexa” or tapping the Alexa button on the touchscreen. The clever voice AI even integrates the use of Alexa devices in the home via the Land Rover smartphone app and Remote Skills.
Alexa works without a smartphone – all owners need to do is log in via their Amazon account for the vehicle’s built-in eSIMs to provide connectivity. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Wireless Android Auto™ are both fitted as standard3, meaning smartphones can be tucked out of the way on the dedicated 15W Wireless Device Charger, beneath the Pivi screen, without the need for trailing wires.
New Range Rover Sport’s dynamic performance and enhanced refinement is supported by the latest safety-focused Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). All models are fitted with Emergency Braking, 3D Surround Camera, including front and rear parking sensors, Wade Sensing, ClearSight Ground View 7 and Manoeuvring Lights – Cruise Control, Driver Condition Monitor, Lane Keep Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Electrified performance
A comprehensive line-up of electrified powertrains deliver customary Range Rover Sport performance. The range includes two extended range Electric Hybrids, six-cylinder Ingenium petrols and diesels using mild-hybrid technology, and an all-new V8 Twin Turbo. In 2024, the New Range Rover Sport line-up will evolve with the addition of a fully electric model.
The new P510e Electric Hybrid is engineered to meet the demands of drivers looking for a high-performance drive, impressive efficiency and more than 100km of zero emissions EV range. It seamlessly blends Land Rover’s 3.0-litre six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine with a powerful 105kW electric motor and 38.2kWh battery, producing a total system output of 510PS.
A P440e Electric Hybrid is also available, producing a total of 440PS from its powertrain and the same all-electric driving range and low CO 2 emissions. It too provides effortless acceleration and refinement, completing 0-100km/h in just 5.8 seconds (0-60mph in 5.5 seconds).
Alternatively, the new flagship V8 Twin Turbo produces 530PS for the most exhilarating Range Rover Sport character, accelerating from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds (0-60mph in 4.3 seconds) with Dynamic Launch engaged and bringing an added level of visceral excitement to the line-up.
The comprehensive choice of powertrains includes powerful P360 and P400 mild-hybrid straight six Ingenium petrols, and six-cylinder D250, D300 and D350 mild-hybrid diesel engines.
Peerless capability
New Range Rover Sport is the most dynamically capable version of Land Rover’s luxury performance SUV ever, and the most competent away from paved roads. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (iAWD) integrates with the latest all-terrain innovations and technologies to ensure its breadth of dynamic capability.
New Range Rover Sport’s advanced chassis dynamics feed into its immense capability away from the tarmac, utilising its hardware and software to full effect. It is the first vehicle to feature our new Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control, which has been engineered to help drivers focus on steering the vehicle by providing consistent and comfortable progress across rough terrain.
Rory O’Murchu
Vehicle line director, jaguar land rover.
Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control is an evolution of All-Terrain Progress Control and allows the driver to set the desired speed and comfort level, from a choice of four settings, over rough surfaces. It is the first Land Rover to feature this capability, bringing enhanced off-road performance to the line-up by allowing the driver to focus solely on steering the vehicle across challenging terrain.
TESTING AND DEVELOPMENT - THE NEW RANGE ROVER SPORT
Terrain Response 2® automatically detects the surface and terrain to adapt the chassis to best deal with the situation, prompting and informing the driver via the Pivi Pro touchscreen. It works in harmony with the comprehensive chassis systems to make the most effective progress off-road.
NEW RANGE ROVER SPORT will be exclusively produced at the Solihull Manufacturing Facility in the UK alongside New Range Rover, on a state-of-the-art production line housed in the same building used to produce early Series Land Rovers. The historic location is the spiritual home of Land Rover and its reimagining as a new, ultra-modern centre for Range Rover and Range Rover Sport production epitomises the way the company protects and celebrates its unique heritage.

- Lows Smaller third row than some rivals, slow infotainment system, no complimentary scheduled maintenance.
- Verdict An inspired combination of on-road performance, luxury, comfort, style and off-road ability.
As its name implies, the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is basically a more athletic version of the brand's top-dog Range Rover model. The two share the same chassis, powertrain, and interior. They're also about the same size, and both feature standard all-wheel drive. However, the Range Rover Sport is a bit more agile, so it's more fun to drive, and it's available with a small third-row seat, a feature not offered in the regular Range Rover. Overall, the Range Rover Sport is a very well-rounded package. It combines the brand's legendary off-road prowess, luxury, and classic styling with excellent performance and family-friendly features.
What's New for 2020?
This year the Range Rover Sport features an expanded lineup of engines. A new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model called the P400e is available. Its powertrain combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine with a small electric motor and a battery pack. Mild hybrid-, gas-, and diesel-powered engines are still offered. Also, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are now standard on all models, and Land Rover now offers a new 22-inch split five-spoke gloss-black wheel design. There are also two new available colors, Portofino Blue and Eiger Grey.
Pricing and Which One to Buy
The price of the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport starts at $70,000 and goes up to $90,340 depending on the trim and options.
Land Rover offers the Range Rover Sport in a wide variety of trim levels for 2020. All offer an impressive mix of luxury and performance. There isn't a dud in the bunch. However, our favorite combination is the HST, which is powered by the brand's mild-hybrid turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six gas engine tuned to produce 395 horsepower. We also appreciate the HST's sporty visual touches, such as its black roof and its interior upgrades, which include a faux-suede-wrapped steering wheel and seat trim. The HSE is the best value, however. It's much better equipped than the SE and costs about $10,000 less than the HST. Its 355-h version of the six-cylinder is plenty strong.

Range Rover Sports powered by the mild-hybrid inline-six never have to be plugged in or charged, but the P400e models, which feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain, do have to be plugged in frequently to take advantage of their gas-saving technology. The P400e is powered by a 13.1-kWh battery pack located under the rear cargo floor. It can charge fully on a 120-volt outlet, but it takes up to 14 hours. A 240-volt outlet or trips to a public charging station can charge the SUV more rapidly. Land Rover says it delivers up to 31 miles of electric driving range per charge.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
With so many different available engines, the 2020 Range Rover Sport's EPA estimated fuel economy is a bit spotty, as the numbers are still being updated. Diesel-powered models are rated at 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. Fuel-economy estimates for the Range Rover Sport PHEV still haven't been released, but it's the only model that can be driven solely on electricity for short periods.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Inside, the 2020 Range Rover Sport has about the same dimensions as the full-size Range Rover model. Both SUVs share the same 115-inch wheelbase, which gives the Range Rover Sport more rear seat space than you'll find in many of its competitors. Unlike the Range Rover, the Range Rover Sport is also available with a small kid-friendly third-row seat, which takes its seating capacity from five to seven. However, the third row is not offered in the plug-in hybrid models. Its front seats are firm and supportive, especially on long drives, and rear-seat air-conditioning vents and controls are standard. Heated rear seats are available. Build quality is superior, with soft surfaces and controls that look and feel expensive. Behind the Range Rover Sport's second row is a generous 28 cubic feet of cargo space. PHEV models offer 3.0 cubic feet less because their battery pack is stored beneath the cargo area, raising the SUV's cargo floor by two inches. The Rover's reclining second row easily folds flat, expanding the space to 59.0 cubic feet of space, which is about average for the midsize luxury SUV class.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Significantly redesigned just a couple of years ago, the 2020 Range Rover Sport's climate and infotainment systems are controlled by two large 10.0-inch touchscreens. The design is undeniably modern and attractive. It's also user-friendly with intuitive menus and clean graphics, but the infotainment system is a bit slow to respond to user inputs. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are standard, and there's another 12.3-inch screen in front of the driver that shows a fully configurable digital gauge cluster.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The Range Rover Sport has never been crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, so its crash performance is undocumented. Land Rover does offer many desirable driver-assistance technology systems, but many such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist are optional, which is disappointing considering the SUV's lofty price. Key safety features include:
- Standard forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking
- Standard lane-departure warning
- Available adaptive cruise control
Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
The Range Rover Sport's warranty coverage is about average for its class, but it doesn't include complimentary scheduled maintenance. The purchase price of three of its key competitors—the BMW X5 and X7 and Volvo XC90 —include three years or 36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance.
- Limited warranty covers 4 years or 50,000 miles
- Powertrain warranty covers 4 years or 50,000 miles
- No complimentary scheduled maintenance

Adaptive Cruise Control
- Add to quote
So I noticed in the 2012 owners manual online that is describes in detail how to use the adaptive cruise control. The only thing is is that I can't figure out which options add the adaptive cruise control (if any do). It would be really nice to have the ACC. ANyone with a new '12 LUX with VIsion assist verify that it is included? I have my '12 LUX Vision Assist coming and am just really wondering what to expect.
AFAIK, Adaptive Cruise Control is a stand alone factory option only on Supercharged and Autobiography models, it's not available on HSE with or w/o LUX (it never was, even prior to MY2012.)
"So your telling me there is a chance?". But But in all seriousness, it is available through the lux package?
Cancel that. Misread your post. Thanks for the info. Interesting thing is that the brochure specifies the acc as not being model specific, but on the same page does specify the paddle shifters as being model specific. What model/trim is yours and does it have it
I have a 2006 HSE, so I don't have ACC. From what I've read over the years, we aren't missing much.
I had it on my 06, it was fun sometimes, but wasn't too useful. It was too aggressive and would slow down too fast, or slow down when not needed. Not sure if it ever put on the brake lights when it would slow down, but there were many times I felt bad for the person behind me.
Ditto on the '06 -- had it on mine, don't on the '10, don't miss it one bit.
Another vote for no ACC. I have it, and I guess I'm far too aggressive a driver for it. If I want to switch across 2 lanes, and there is a car in the middle lane going slower than my speed, the RRS hits the brakes quite heavily (I have to have the foot slightly on the throttle to do it so I override the ACC system's proximity sensors). In short, the ACC is annoying as hell. I would REALLY like the ACC if there was a setting that could revert it to traditional cruise, but there isn't. I was hoping that the IID tool would provide that ability, but it doesn't. I'm sure I could investigate the wiring schematic of the ACC to defeat the system, but that sounds like a lot of work. Who knows how to hack the ACC system to provide traditional cruise control functionality?
I could be mistaken, but I think it is a separate option, and I don't believe that it comes standard with the 2012 Supercharged, or at least I haven't figured out how to use it yet. From what I've seen from the pictures, the controls are on the left side of the steering wheel, and I don't have those on mine, although I do have the paddle shifters.
ACC is my favorite feature on my RRSSC. I use it all the time, just have to adjust it to the closest follow and then it works pretty well.

Idaho murders: Kaylee Goncalves' Range Rover retrieved from city lot
Moscow, idaho, police haven't identified a suspect in the quadruple homicide.
Kaylee Goncalves' car picked up from Moscow city lot
Kaylee Goncalves' car was picked up from the Moscow, Idaho, city lot on Thursday. Two Moscow police officers in plain clothes were spotted helping a man start the car and scrape ice off of it.
EXCLUSIVE: A family lawyer retrieved Idaho murder victim Kaylee Goncalves' Range Rover on Thursday afternoon from a Moscow city storage lot.
Attorney Shanon Gray helped a pair of Moscow police officers scrape ice from the windshield and brush away snow on the 2016 Range Rover Evoque that Goncalves excitedly purchased days before her slaying.
At around 3 p.m., Gray drove off in the silver SUV nearly six weeks after Goncalves was killed in a rental home near the University of Idaho campus.

"She just bought a brand-new vehicle for herself, her first vehicle," Kaylee's mother Kristi Goncalves told Fox News' Lawrence Jones last month. "She went home Friday to literally go show off her new vehicle. She was like, ‘Maddie has to see my new ride. Like, she has to see this.’ And she was talking to Maddie the whole time going back and forth between the car she was buying."

The luxury car symbolized the promising future that had awaited Kaylee, who was set to graduate in December, embark on a backpacking trip across Europe in January and start a well-paid marketing job in Austin, Texas, in February.

"She was a hard worker, always having a full time job on top of her studies even in high school," according to her obituary. "Kaylee loved the nicer things in life and took a lot of pride in buying those things for herself."

Police have not identified a suspect or recovered the large fixed-blade knife they believe was used in the horrific attack that has left the small college town reeling from grief.
The coroner said the victims were likely ambushed as they slept and each was stabbed multiple times.
