Lovely, very personal safari lodge not too far from Johannesburg. Safari guide and staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Rondavel rooms give very authentic, unique feeling of being in close to nature. Fantastic food and calm, tranquil grounds to relax on. Safari ride was fantastic! Needed to stay longer next time.
Overall a great mini-break. Easily accessible from Johannesburg for a weekend away, or longer. Knowledgeable game rangers with a passion for the bush. Game drives are twice a day. The luxury family rooms are beautiful and private. Mobile spa facilities are available.
Host, Manuella is welcoming, warm and friendly. Our main guide was Zola, who’s incredible at his job - well informed, attentive and excellent in spirit. Kego, the chef was amazing. The game drives are worth it - so make sure you do both the morning and evening drives.
Mziki is a hidden gem. A beautiful, developing game reserve with a lodge that provides good, simple food and simple, functional rooms. The lodge is on the reserve (=+/- 5x5 km) and a short drive from the entrance. No 4x4 needed, normal car will do (with careful driving). The rooms are modern and properly equipped. Modernized bathrooms. Open Wifi, including in the rooms.
Staff was super friendly and helpful Enjoyed the Game Drives Enjoyed the shooting at the target Place is peaceful They made us feel at home
Majestic lodge situated 2 hours away from Jhb. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Food was incredible, along with the game drives. Zola, our game ranger went out of his way to assist us. We will definitely be back.
Lovely hosts . Took great care of us. Our cabins were great, even electric blankets turned on each night in our beds for us, and a chocolate and little quotation by our beds. The boma was so good, A nice warm fire each night, tables set with white cloths and oil lamps. Well stocked bar. We loved the game drives and were give so much information about the bush and its animals by our guide.
Food, dinner under the sky and game drives and bush walks. Staff is very warm and helpful . It's a cozy place, not too many people.
The staff was phenomenal. Thank you so much Zola, Chris and Devon!
This was one of the best staff at a lodge I was privileged to meet. There attention to service was superb. Every interaction was fantastic. The lodge is truly child friendly and the staff are very helpful. The food prepared was on point and the staff really go the extra mile to accommodate you. Fishing was spectacular, once again thank you to the staff for this wonderful experience.

Really enjoyed everything, was great. Thanks again for Kevin, Kego and the rest of the people.
We spent some wonderful hours at this lovely, cozy lodge. Very personal and kind and highly recommended! Very flexible because we brought two more people along just hours before we arrived, and it was no problem at all to make additional booking for the two of them. Our ranger Bryan was well informed and did his very best to give us some great impressions. Thank you!!
We loved our stay at Mziki. Geyser, Byron and the team were exceptional. Lovely hearty home cooked meals and total relaxation! Lovely sunsets and great game viewing... even from the Lodge. Highly recommend Mziki for families... the ideal holiday or weekend getaway.
Overall this was a great experience. The food was great and staff are all wonderful and friendly. The safari drive we did was a good experience but the bush walk was incredible. In our two walks we saw elephants and buffaloes up close among all the other beautiful creatures this reserve has to offer. Byron was a great guide as he was knowledgeable of the animals and an even better person to talk to. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for the great stay.
From the minute we arrived we had a warm welcome from the staff, who can't do enough to make your stay so comfortable. The whole holiday was relaxed and a great adventure for us, a family of four. My husband is disabled (limited mobility) this was the perfect holiday, perfect setting and made so memorable by the helpful, cheerful staff. The food was fantastic, we couldn't fault it. The safari drives were amazing, we saw so much and our ranger was full of knowledge. We will defiantly be going back. Soon we hope. The best holiday ever and we've had many amazing ones but this has really topped them all.
Getting to J'Burg and meeting one Mr Lucky was the start off, he was very welcoming, jovial and very informative. I felt at home from the word go and this made me so much at ease setting the pace for my stay at Mziki Lodge. On arrival at the Lodge was Geyser, a charming and hospitable chap. He gave me an in depth orientation of the Lodge and yes I felt so warm and at ease since I was a first timer to this part of South Africa. Up early morning for the game drives, Geyser surprised me with a nice hot cup of coffee during our morning drive, this was refreshing. His knowledge of wildlife especially birds is amazing. On my what to do outside Mziki Lodge was the plan to visit Sun City as well as Pilanesberg National Park. Very tasty meals thanks to Mr Johnson and an amazingly caring team that is like a family and you immediately feel part of it when you get to this Lodge. Thank you to all the staff at Mziki Lodge for making my stay truly memorable. I hope to be back soon.
Such a wonderful place!! All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly!!! Will definitely visit soon again!!!! Loved the safaris!! Food was excellent! Good place to take your kids!! With each safari a wide variety of wild animals could be seen!!!
Mziki is really a home away from home, but with the benefit of all delicious meals being cooked for you and awesome game drives! Thanks to all staff for the attention and kindness and thanks for being so great with my 3 year old!
We had the most amazing stay at Mziki, it was our 3 rd visit last month, 2 of which have been with our kids (now age 8 and 10) We all loved every minute of it. We stayed 5 nights. The food is delicious, (we had a wonderful meal in the bush 1 night which was very special), the game drives wonderful, so so much to see. We had a great day trip to Pilansberg safari park, we all had wonderful massages and had fun with the archery. The accommodation and pool area is great and so relaxing. Our 2 rangers were wonderful (Geyser and Natasha, thank you so much) and really made our whole stay magical. The kids loved them and I hope we will make it back next year. I am finding it hard to put into words what is so magical about Miziki, but I think it's the "feel" so safe, relaxing and fun. If you are in 2 minds just go for it, you won't regret it.
We had a truly awesome few days at Mziki Safari Lodge. It's a lovely place: the staff made us feel so welcome, the food was delicious and the safari drives were fantastic and tailored to our needs. The bush braai was a real treat and a once in a lifetime experience! It also worked really well with our two children (6 and 8) as they could play in the pool and do archery in between safari drives. I can't recommend this place enough!

Cosy place and secured
Great place for a nice holiday. I enjoyed the place great service. Its worth going for a second time. Cool bar, all drinks available.
Visited Brits Mall. We also visited the stalls for vegetables and fruits. We wanted to visit the Platinum place. This is a very relaxing place where one can swim, slide a braai your meat and network with a variety of people.
It's OK... Just the gravel made it a bit unpleasant.
I loved the holiday atmosphere, the kiddies facilities for all ages. The food. The bar was top notch and I loved the quietness of bush at night.
Animals and quietness.
Close to Hartebeespoort Dam, stunning places to view.
it is very convenient, the shops are very close and there are shopping malls around.
