Day 1 : Arrival Njp Railway / (Ixb) Bagdogra Airport - Gangtok

Upon your arrival at NJP Railway Station or (IXB) Bagdogra Airport, our tour representatives will welcome and help to transfer to the vehicle to Gangtok (5500 Feet /1677 Mts, 130 Kilometers / 04 to 05 Hrs). Sign into the hotel and enjoy your over night stay at the hotel.

Day 2 : Gangtok

Take your breakfast in the morning. Get ready for a pleasure trip to Baba Mandir & Tshangu Lake - located at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs. There’s a myth surrounding Gurudongmar. Since the lake remains frozen throughout the year, despite being such a gigantic waterbody, it wasn’t a suitable source for drinking water.

Once, when Guru Padmasambhava was travelling by this place while returning from Tibet, the locals pleaded for a source of drinking water. That is when Guru Padmasambhva touched a portion of the lake, and it is believed that portion he touched never gets frozen again even in extreme winter.

2. By Rail: A convenient and economical way to reach Gangtok is by availing a train. The nearest railway station is the New Jalpaiguri Station from where you can take a cab to Gangtok which will take around 4 hours to cover the distance of 118 kms. The Tibetan Library has a big collection of Tibetan texts and the main Library houses books on Buddhism and the Himalayas in English as well as various other languages. The research center is entirely dedicated to Mahayana Buddhism, Buddhist history, religious art, languages, culture of Sikkim and the Himalayan regions.
