Guest Rooms

Hunting for prized trophies in the rugged African wilderness is hard work, which deserves a suitable reward when returning to camp. That is why we don’t want guests to spend their nights in hastily constructed camps, but rather in the comfort of first class thatched roof chalets that include every convenience to help you relax and re-energize for the next day’s activities. All chalets are equipped with hot and cold running water, showers, flush toilets, electricity, comfortable beds, all linens and towels, and a small safe for your valuables.

HONEYMOON Suite

When experiencing the adventure of a lifetime, why not afford yourself the ultimate in luxury? Our Luxury/Honeymoon Suite will live up to all you desire and more. With the finest décor and beautiful finishes and accessories, kick back and relax in this beautiful chalet that includes a jacuzzi hot tub. If you are celebrating a special occasion, such as a honeymoon or anniversary, you can spend your African hunting safari adventure in the lap of luxury for a minimal additional cost of only $25.00 per night.

Swimming Pool & Hot Tub

After spending a day under the beautiful blue skies and hot African sun, nothing is more refreshing or revitalizing than taking a dip in the deluxe Lodge swimming pool. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, non-hunters can find escape while enjoying a good book around the pool too. Finding extreme relaxation is no further than spending some down time in our Lodge hot tub. Simply request the staff to prepare it with 24 hours’ notice.

LOUNGE, BAR & Boma

African cultures have been grown around the traditions of community and spending time together around a fire. At Cruiser Safaris we continue these traditions by offering a lounge and bar area set under traditional thatched roofing, where one can enjoy a drink and wind down before enjoying an elegant dinner. Hunters and other adventure seekers can also spend time under the African starlight, around a roaring fire in our Boma, to tell stories and relive the best moments from the day’s hunt.

Dining Room

Whether enjoying the spoils of fresh game from the day’s hunt, home grown produce, fine wines or delectable desserts, one thing is for certain: mealtimes are an event in and of itself at Cruiser Safaris. With the unparalleled talents of Chef DelMarie at the helm of the kitchen staff, you can be sure that you will be in for a treat, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

South Africa is a melting pot of many diverse cultures, each with their own unique arts, crafts, artifacts, and curios. These make for perfect gifts to bring home to loved ones that couldn’t join in the adventure, or as a memento to further remember your African hunting safari adventure. We have a small on-site curio shop, with many larger open-air markets and other various stores in the surrounding area, should shopping be on your list of things to do.

Surrounded by the beautiful gardens and the majestic African landscape beyond, Cruiser Safaris is home to numerous diverse and colourful African bird species. During a break from hunting, you can bask in and appreciate the beauty of our wonderful wild birds.

For a different type of outdoor adventure, or to take a break from the hunt, Waterberg Boat Safaris offers pontoon rides on the Mokolo Dam. While cruising on the 7-meter pontoon, you will be treated to breath-taking views, wonderful birdlife, and spectacular sunsets. Naturally, there is also the opportunity to fish for bass and kurper while you’re there. Pricing and further information is available at the Cruiser Safaris Lodge.

Pilanesberg National park

Located in the basin formed by an extinct volcano millions of years ago, the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve is one of South Africa’s premier tourist destinations. The fourth largest reserve in the country, with over 125 miles of roads for self-drives or guided tours, and a compliment of over 10,000 animals, and so much more, Pilanesberg is worth a visit for any nature lovers. The cost for this day trip is $50.00 pp plus admission.

Marakele Experience

Marakele, in the Tswana language, means “a place of sanctuary” and has become a popular destination for the visitors to the area. The experience combines visits to two parks, starting with the Marakele National Park. Experience all the wild animals the reserve has on offer and have a picnic lunch over breath-taking scenery. Next you get to experience the Marakele Predator Park tour, where you are able to get up close to predators not easily found in the wild.

½ day (6 hours) Big 5 Photographic Safari

Welgevonden is home to more than 65 mammal species. While these include the famous Big Five, it is the rare and unusual species like cheetah, brown hyena, caracal, aardwolf, and aardvark that make game drives exceptionally exciting. Welgevonden sports a diverse range of habitat types that support a riot of biodiversity, including over 300 different birds! From cheetah-loved grasslands and savannahs to leafy wooded mountains cut by deep rocky ravines.

The resort at Sun City is a jewel of South African attractions, boasting anything one could wish for in terms of entertainment, sport and relaxation. World class accommodation and an unparalleled water park makes the Sun City Resort an unforgettable attraction to experience while visiting South Africa. The cost for this day trip is $50.00 pp plus admission.

Congrats on a fabulous Safari. I was happy to see you got the boys out there as I was also able to do that a few years ago and its still my kids favorite vacation! HH  

Congratulations to all, nice to see Cruiser is still going strong. Well done and thanks for posting.  

I hunted with Cruiser in 2014. My first Safari. It was a great experience. I went back to RSA in 2021 for a bow hunt but chose Limcroma because they were better set up for it. Glad to hear Cruiser and Peter are still going strong.  

Congratulations to you, your sons and wife on some great trophies, wonderful photos and memories to last a lifetime.

Marakelle is running TWICE the sustained population it can sustain for elephants and they are severely damaging the park. Apparently there are plans under way to lower some of the perimeter fences with cooperating landowners under a coop plan. The private landowners will be able to get permits for a few of the Big 5 in exchange similar to Kruger. Congrats on the hunt.

Our primary objectives at Cruiser Safaris are to offer excellent mature South Africa animal hunting as well as first class accommodations and services, all at reasonable safari hunting prices. With those goals in mind we aim year after year to keep our hunting prices as low as possible and still tailor each hunt to suit our hunting client’s desires and hunting abilities.

Our NO HIDDEN FEES policy makes Cruiser Safaris hunting prices some of the lowest in all of South Africa.

South Africa Hunting Package Prices:

Cruiser Safaris offers seven South Africa safari hunting packages including hunts for Nyala, Sable and bow hunters plus a Free State Add-On package. Each Package Hunt offers a different amount of hunting days and trophy hunting species at discounted Trophy Fee prices.

South Africa Hunting Daily Rate Prices:

We know you will find our Daily Rates prices to be among the most reasonable in the industry and, as a bonus to our safari hunting clients we do not charge daily rates for your day of arrival or day of departure like a lot of other South Africa hunting outfitters do.

Cruiser Safaris realizes that your flight to South Africa is a long one, and by the time you reach our camp you are probably exhausted and would like to relax for a while by our pool or simply take in the atmosphere and settle in. Your day of departure can also be hectic with packing and the drive back to Johannesburg. You can begin your hunting safari relaxed and depart refreshed.

We know some of you will see some of the game animals on the drive to our camp and want to begin hunting immediately on arrival. For those who wish to hunt the day of their arrival or departure we will only charge one half of our daily rate price.

South Africa Hunting Trophy Fee Prices and Terms of Business:

Cruiser Safaris South Africa plains game hunting Trophy Fees are applicable only to animals actually bagged or wounded and lost. Our Trophy Fees pricing page lists the hunting cost of all available game species including animals of opportunity that are not booked in advance but may be hunted if encountered during your hunting safari.
