What to Bring on your Zipline Adventure

As an outdoor tour company, we often encounter people who don’t have quite the right idea of what to bring or wear on our zipline tours. So here is a little guide to staying comfortable on your two hour tour!

First thing is good shoes. We require closed-toed shoes at the very least. But if you want to be comfortable on our hike, then make sure you have good tread on the bottom. In the winter, it is a good idea to have a waterproof option because it may be snowy or muddy conditions and Vans just weren’t built for that kind of thing. Now notice that I said “good” and not “expensive” because if you think your $300 jordans are coming back in pristine condition, you’re in for a little surprise.

Second is weather appropriate clothes. What does that mean? I have no idea. In Colorado the weather is always changing, so it can be hard to know what to expect. In summer it’ll be hot. But it might rain, so check the forecast ahead of time. In the winter, everyone expects it to be like The Shining, but most days it’s around 40 to 50 degrees, even with snow on the ground. The key is to see what the weather is like at the office on the day of your tour and decide what to wear then. Bring a few outfits with you and make your decision before your tour.

And finally, you will want to bring some water. Many of our clients are from places far more humid than our arid mountain climate. We require a bottle that is able to clip to your harness with a carabiner. Your hands will be busy and plastic bottles fall out of pockets. If you don’t have something like that and are worried about getting thirsty in the dry Colorado air, we sell clippable bottles at check in, so we have you covered! 

These are the three main things you will want to make sure you have for your zipline adventure! Keep these things in mind as you prepare for your day of zipping.
