In Prismania City kaufen

Step 1 Besuche die Spielhalle in Prismania City.

  • Dratini entwickelt sich auf Level 30 zu Dragonir und auf Level 55 zu Dragoran weiter.

How to Get Dratini in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen

dratini in safari zone fangen

  • By Yanna Ferrera

You can get Dratini in the Safari Zone. Head to Fuschia City and pay the fee to join the Safari Game. Bring a Super Rod to fish for Dratini in any body of water inside the Zone.

Fuchsia City’s Safari Zone

Dratini can only be found in one area in the game – Fuchsia City’s Safari Zone.

dratini in safari zone fangen

Head north from the town Poké Center until you find the Safari Zone entrance.

dratini in safari zone fangen

Go inside and pay the fee to play the Safari Game.

dratini in safari zone fangen

The Safari Game operates on a timed basis, but since Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen don’t have in-game clocks, the timer is based on the number of steps you take inside the area. After 500 steps, the safari game ends.

dratini in safari zone fangen

With this in mind, it is recommended to start your search for Dratini on the first body of water you can see – this helps you fish for an unlimited amount of time until you find Dratini, provided you don’t take up any steps in doing so.

dratini in safari zone fangen

Make sure you have a Super Rod before getting inside the Safari Zone. You can find a body of water just ahead of you from the safari entrance. You can now start looking for Dratini here.

dratini in safari zone fangen

You might encounter other water Pokémon here before you find Dratini. You can even encounter its evolved form, Dragonair.

dratini in safari zone fangen

Dratini has a higher encounter rate than Dragonair though, with a 10% chance to encounter it after hooking a Pokémon.

Catching Dratini

Now that you’ve encountered Dratini, the challenge lies in catching it.

dratini in safari zone fangen

It’s a lot more difficult to catch unique Pokémon in the Safari Zone for a number of reasons. Firstly, Safari Balls do not have a good catch rate compared to Ultra Balls or Great Balls.

dratini in safari zone fangen

There’s also no option to weaken Pokémon to make them easier to catch, as battles are not allowed inside the Zone. Add to that, these unique Pokémon are extremely prone to flee, which makes searching for them tedious for the second time around.

dratini in safari zone fangen

While there’s no foolproof way of 100% catching Dratini, a mixture of baiting it and distracting it will help. Feeding it some food prevents it from fleeing, while throwing rocks makes it easier to catch because they’re angry and agitated.

dratini in safari zone fangen

You should be able to catch Dratini eventually after some luck and patience.

dratini in safari zone fangen

Training Dratini

Dratini is one of few the Dragon-type Pokémon you can catch in the wild.

dratini in safari zone fangen

Train your Dratini to Level 30 and it will evolve into Dragonair. Dragonair has more Dragon-type moves than Dratini, such as Dragon Rage.

dratini in safari zone fangen

When Dragonair reaches Level 55, it will evolve into its final form, Dragonite, which is one of the strongest Pokémon in-game. Dragonite’s move set is also impressive, as it’s capable of learning Outrage and Hyper Beam at Level 61 and 75, respectively.

dratini in safari zone fangen

While catching Dratini might be tiresome at the beginning, it will definitely pay off in the long run as Dragon-type Pokémon are one of the most powerful Pokémon in-game. One of the Elite Four, Lance, even specializes in them and he proves to be a challenge to beat.

Train your Dratini and see how far it will take you!

Getting a Dratini from the Master's Quiz

Step 1 Go into the Dragon's Den behind Blackthorn City.

  • Make sure you have a space in your Pokémon team for Dratini.
  • You must have already defeated the last Gym Leader in the area, Clair. She will give you a TM. You need the TM before you can head into the Dragon's Den for Dratini. [2] X Research source

Step 2 Use your Pokémon's Whirlpool to get across a whirlpool.

  • Save the game before continuing so if you get a Dratini you don't like, you can try again.

Step 5 Talk to this Elder.

  • Dratinis' highest Stat is Attack and its lowest is HP (Hit Points)

Center Area

Center Area (east)

dratini in safari zone fangen

In the entrance gatehouse to the Safari Zone, pay the requisite ₽500 to enter and receive 30 Safari Balls before heading inside the Safari Zone proper.

In Yellow Version, if you bother the attendant here, he will allow you to enter the Safari Zone even if you don't have ₽500. Instead, he will take all your remaining money and give you a number of Safari Balls proportionate to the amount you paid, leaving you with a single Safari Ball if you have no money at all. It seems the developers did this to avoid an uncommon scenario that could prevent you from making any further progress in the game: if you have no money and no method of earning any more, you cannot enter the Safari Zone to obtain HM03 and the Gold Teeth, both necessary items to complete the game. No such check exists in Red and Blue, so it is quite possible, though extremely unlikely, to get yourself into this situation in those games.

Interestingly, there is an out-of-bounds hidden item inside the entry gatehouse. The Itemfinder will ping if you use it, but, unfortunately, there is no way to unearth the hidden Nugget in here.

Safari Zone mechanics You have a 500-step counter while inside the Safari Zone. Running out the counter will automatically return you to the entrance, as will running out of Safari Balls. Turning on the spot does not count as a step, but can still be used to trigger wild Pokémon battles. You are restricted to the 30 Safari Balls you bought when entering, and any unused Safari Balls are lost once the game is over. The Safari Zone also has different battling mechanics to the rest of the game. The Pokémon here do not attack you but have a nasty habit of running away from battle, and those with higher Speed stats are more likely to flee. Instead of sending out a Pokémon to fight, you're restricted to throwing rocks and bait, which affect the capture chance and fleeing chance of the target Pokémon. Each rock you throw at the wild Pokémon doubles the chance of catching it but also makes it angry for 1–5 turns, and an angry Pokémon is twice as likely to flee. Conversely, each thrown bait halves the chance of catching the Pokémon but also lulls it into an eating state for 1–5 turns, during which time it is four times less likely to flee. For all these unexplained mechanics, the strategy that gives you the best chance to capture a Pokémon on any given encounter is simply to throw Balls at it and ignore rocks and bait entirely. The only time you might ever want to consider rocks and bait is if you are running low on Balls, but you will be significantly reducing your capture chances if you do this. A little later on, Red and Blue players can take advantage of a glitch to bypass all these odd mechanics and catch Safari Zone Pokémon using standard battle mechanics. For a full breakdown of these mechanics, take a look at the Safari Zone mechanics section.

Center Area : Besides the tall grass, there isn't much of interest in the Center Area at the moment.

Pokémon evaluations Exeggcute ( evaluation ) — Rating: C . Though it will be underlevelled and belongs to the Slow experience group, Exeggcute has a nice Grass/Psychic typing and can evolve immediately into the powerful Exeggutor. It wants the Psychic TM to be truly effective, however. Rhyhorn ( evaluation ) — Rating: D . Another underlevelled Pokémon in the Slow experience group, Rhyhorn won't evolve until level 42. While its physical stats are incredible and its movepool is great, it requires a long grind to become powerful, and still has low Speed and Special. Chansey ( evaluation ) — Rating: D . Chansey isn't a bad Pokémon, but it is extremely difficult to catch. Its abysmally low Attack means it can't effectively use any STAB moves, but it does at least have a strong Special and a wide special movepool. Tangela ( evaluation ) — Rating: D . A rare Safari Zone encounter, Tangela has a terrible movepool consisting entirely of Grass- and Normal-type attacks. It lacks SolarBeam or even Petal Dance , and its Attack stat is too low to use Normal-type moves effectively. Dratini ( evaluation ) — Rating: D . Available for the first time in Yellow Version, though at the low level of 15, Dratini only evolves into its powerful final form at level 55. This is a long grind due to Dratini's low stats and Slow experience group.
In-game trade preparation To complete all in-game trades, Red and Blue players should catch a Nidorino to trade for a Nidorina on Route 11, while Yellow players should catch an extra Tangela to trade for a Parasect on Route 18. You'll be reminded shortly when to trade these in, although none of these trades is worth it for anything except completion purposes.

Head north-east and take the narrow eastern path into Center Area (east).

Center Area (east) : In this area, a few new Pokémon are available, though Kangaskhan is found in Area 2 in Yellow, while Tauros is found in Areas 2 and 3 in Red and Blue, being most common (though still very rare) in Area 3.

Pokémon evaluations Kangaskhan ( evaluation ) — Rating: D . Kangaskhan is a tough Normal-type Pokémon with good stats and an excellent movepool. However, it is also a rare Safari Zone-exclusive encounter that is likely to run away, making it extremely difficult to catch. Tauros ( evaluation ) — Rating: D . Tauros doesn't fair too well in-game largely because it's so rare and hard to catch, and then will be a little underlevelled. If you do get one, it's a strong Normal-type Pokémon with great Attack and Speed and a fantastic movepool.

Head east and climb the rocky plateau to the north. At the northern edge is a Carbos . Take the westernmost stairs down off this plateau and head north. A patch of land jutting into the central body of water has TM37 ( Egg Bomb ) on it.

TM37 can be bought infinitely at the Celadon Department Store and contains Egg Bomb, a mediocre Normal-type move with 100 power and 75% accuracy. It can only be learned by Exeggcute, Exeggutor, Chansey and Mew, which all have much better options.

To the north-west, you can pick up a Max Potion . Proceed east from there, using the small rocky plateau here to bypass the tree, and pick up the Full Restore on the other side. Finally, go up around the plateau to the west and take the western exit to Area 2.

Area 2 : Check if you have any new Pokémon available to you in Area 2 before continuing.

In-game trade preparation (Yellow) This is the only area in the game where Kangaskhan can be caught in Yellow Version, and you can catch a spare one to trade away for a Muk much later on. This isn't worth it for anything other than completion purposes.

Head west, ignoring the first staircase to the north and the path exiting south, and instead pass through the patch of tall grass to the north and take the set of stairs here. Come down off this rocky plateau using the stairs to the south-west, and then go as far north as you can. To the east from here is TM40 ( Skull Bash ).

TM40 is a one-time TM which teaches Skull Bash, a 130-power Normal-type move with the massive drawback of requiring a charge turn to execute. Pass.

Loop around the bushes to the north to find a Protein and continue west. Head all the way south and exit south into Area 3.

Area 3 : Pick up the Gold Teeth to the south, then head west and pick up TM32 ( Double Team ) in plain sight.

Using Double Team to ramp up your evade stat can be very useful if luck is on your side. After enough uses, it can feel almost impossible for your opponent to hit you, and with enough luck, it can be so good that it earned itself a ban from competitive matches. Still, it takes time to use it repeatedly over a few turns, and in-game you can often one-hit KO an opponent with supereffective hits. If you want game-breaking strategies, X Accuracy and one-hit KO moves are quicker and far superior. TM32 is also infinitely available to buy from the Celadon Department Store, so you can at least try it out without having to worry too much.

There is also a hidden Revive which is inside the nearby statue. Enter the Secret House by this statue and speak to the man inside to receive HM03 ( Surf ).

As well as being an HM move which allows you to travel over bodies of water on the overworld, Surf is an excellent Water-type move in its own right, being a little less powerful than its closest competition, Hydro Pump, in exchange for near-perfect accuracy and higher PP. It should be a staple move on any Water-type Pokémon for a strong and reliable STAB attack, though a handful of other Pokémon can learn it too. Its only downside is that once it is learned, it can't be forgotten short of trading the Pokémon to Gold, Silver or Crystal, so think carefully before teaching it.

If you have defeated the Fuchsia Gym Leader, you can now use Surf outside of battle after teaching it to a compatible Pokémon. Exit the Secret House and surf south over the small body of water here. Head south into the patch of tall grass and pick up the Max Potion a little to the east before climbing on to the rocky plateau. Head east and descend the other set of stairs here to pick up a Max Revive before exiting to the east.

Center Area : You'll emerge back into the west side of the Center Area. Head east and surf across the water to pick up the final item, a Nugget . That's all for the Safari Zone unless you want to catch any more Pokémon, so either exit to the south or, more likely, have the step counter run out to return to the entrance.

Link to area overview

Back in Fuchsia City, head for the Warden's house, which is the building directly east of the Pokémon Center. Now that you have the Gold Teeth, you can return them to the Warden to receive HM04 ( Strength ).

Strength is used on the field to push large boulders around, which will be needed to solve a few puzzles later on. In battle, it's an unremarkable 80-power Normal-type move that's outclassed by moves such as Body Slam. However, because it is an HM move, it can be taught infinitely, so if the TM for Body Slam has already been used up on a Pokémon, Strength is a reasonable alternative.

You can put Strength to work immediately and push the nearby boulder to one side so you can claim the Rare Candy .

Surf round-up With Surf now available to use outside of battle, a large portion of the game opens up to you. There are also some areas you have previously visited where you can now pick up new items and Pokémon. This guide will first take care of some in-game trades before continuing to the surf round-up.
Red/Blue in-game trade 6/9 : Nidorino ↔ Nidorina Red and Blue players should withdraw their Nidorino for this in-game trade before flying to Vermilion City and heading east on to Route 11. Proceed all the way east into the gatehouse, then head upstairs and talk to the young man by the window to trade your Nidorino away for a Nidorina.
Yellow in-game trade 3/7 : Tangela ↔ Parasect Yellow players can instead withdraw their Tangela for another rather pointless in-game trade. From Fuchsia City, take the western exit into the Route 18 gatehouse, then head upstairs and talk to the man here to trade Tangela away for a Parasect.

Surf on to the water directly south of the Pokémon Center. You'll spot two houses to the south. Surf in between them and examine the west side of the eastern house, on the tile closest to land, to find a hidden Max Ether .

Yellow players should now head to Route 6, just north of Vermilion City.

Pokémon evaluations Psyduck ( evaluation ) — Rating: D . This is the only place that Yellow players can catch a Psyduck or, rarely, its evolved form, Golduck. It'll be very underlevelled compared to the rest of your team but is otherwise a decent, if somewhat bland, Water-type Pokémon.
In-game trade preparation (Yellow) Catch a spare Golduck here if you can, even if it is rather rare, to trade away for a Rhydon later on. If you don't want to hunt for the rare Golduck, then alternatively you can get one by evolving a Psyduck, though you will have to train it from level 15 to level 33 to get it to evolve.

Make your way west from the Pokémon Center to the small pond in the centre of the city. Surf across and talk to the elderly lady on the other side to receive TM41 ( Softboiled ).

Softboiled can only be taught to Chansey and Mew. If you're using one of these two Pokémon, Softboiled has some utility for its out-of-battle effect, which transfers 20% of the user's HP to a chosen party Pokémon. Given Chansey's gargantuan HP, this can save you a few trips to the Pokémon Center. In battle, it's also useful for simply healing the user for 50% of its maximum HP, though using items is still superior without taking up a moveslot. TM41 is unique, but this isn't much of an issue as there is hardly any demand for it.

Fly to Lavender Town so you can head south into Route 12. Continue south, passing through the gatehouse, until you come to the first Fisherman. Just south from him on a small isolated section of land sits TM16 ( Pay Day ), which you can reach with Surf.

Pay Day is a weak 40-power Normal-type move without much battling use and generates money equal to twice the user's level whenever it hits the opponent. This isn't much, so it is not worth using up a moveslot for this. TM16 is unique, so use it carefully.

Pokémon evaluations Slowpoke ( evaluation ) — Rating: C . This marks the first opportunity for Yellow players to catch a Slowpoke, though higher-level ones are available later on at the Seafoam Islands. Water/Psychic typing is fantastic, but Slowpoke takes a lot of hits due to its abysmal Speed.

Now that you have Surf and have tidied up any previous areas, you can take a detour to pick up Zapdos, a level 50 dual-type Electric/Flying Legendary Pokémon. It's an excellent Pokémon, particularly if you don't have an Electric-type Pokémon on your team and have saved the Thunderbolt TM for it.

Purchase a handful of Ultra Balls and bring along a Pokémon that can put opponents to sleep, because Zapdos has a very low catch chance if it isn't inflicted with any status conditions. Freeze is equally good but far harder to inflict, while poison, burn and paralysis aren't quite as good but are still better than using no status condition at all. Also, make sure you have enough room in your PC Box for Zapdos and a handful of other wild Pokémon that you might be interested in.

Fly to Cerulean City and withdraw Pokémon that can use Surf and Cut. Head toward the eastern exit of the city by passing through the burgled house and using Cut on the bush before Route 9. Head all the way east through Route 9 on to Route 10, recognisable by a large patch of tall grass bordered by water on the north and east sides.

It might be worth healing up at the Pokémon Center just to the south here, which is the nearest one to the Power Plant but also cannot be accessed via Fly. This means that using Dig or an Escape Rope to leave the Power Plant will return you to this Pokémon Center, saving you the trek through Route 9 from Cerulean City.

Surf on to the water to the north and follow it around to the east and south. As it banks around to the west, you'll spot a PokéManiac (F) above you.

PokéManiac (F) Pokémon Type Lv. Exp. Moves Rhyhorn Ground/Rock 30 867 Horn Attack , Stomp HP: 92 , Attack: 61 , Defense: 66 , Speed: 24 , Special: 27 Lickitung Normal 30 816 Supersonic , Stomp , Disable , Defense Curl HP: 98 , Attack: 43 , Defense: 54 , Speed: 27 , Special: 45 Reward ₽1500

Just to the north-west of him is the entrance to the Power Plant, so head inside.

Where To Get Dratini, Dragonair & Dragonite (Pokémon HGSS)

Surfing in Dragons Den in HeartGold

In Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver, Dratini can be obtained in a few different ways, depending on how far through the game you are.

The earliest of these methods is in Goldenrod City, allowing you to have a Dratini on your team before the 3rd gym.

But the complete list of locations, in order of distance through the game, are:

  • Goldenrod Game Corner, purchased for 2,100 coins
  • Dragon’s Den in Blackthorn City, caught with the Good Rod, Super Rod, or by surfing on the water
  • Dragon’s Den, gifted for correctly completing the Master’s quiz (this Dratini has the special extra move ExtremeSpeed)
  • The Safari Zone’s Swamp Area, caught with the Good Rod if you have 10 waterside blocks, or the Super Rod without any blocks needed

Dratini then evolves in Dragonair starting at level 30. Dragonair can also be caught in the wild in the following locations:

  • Dragon’s Den, with the Super Rod only
  • The Safari Zone’s Swamp Area with 15 waterside blocks and the Super Rod only

Dragonair then evolves into Dragonite at level 55.

We’ll provide a full breakdown of each method, plus some tips to get the most out of your Dragonite, below

Location 1: Goldenrod Game Corner

The game’s earliest Dratini is available from Goldenrod Game Corner, pictured below.

Goldenrod Game Corner, in Goldenrod City / Pokemon HGSS

To earn enough coins to purchase Dratini here, you must play many games of Voltorb Flip.

To play, first you need to receive the Coin Case by talking to Mr. Game, pictured below.

Mr. Game in Goldenrod Game Corner, who gives the player their Coin Case / Pokemon HGSS

After you have your Coin Case, you can play Voltorb Flip by standing opposite Mr. Game at the flashing table and pressing ‘A’.

Voltorb Flip is the Pokémon universe’s answer to Minesweeper.

You must flip cards to reveal hidden numbers that multiply your score. If you accidentally flip a card to reveal a Voltorb, it’s game over and you lose your accumulated coins.

It’s possible to work out where the Voltorbs are hidden using the clues at the side. If you feel the risk is too high, you can exit the game at any point to keep your current stockpile of coins.

Once you have amassed 2,100 coins, you can buy a level 15 Dratini from the left-most of the two Gentleman standing nearby.

Location 2: Dragon’s Den

Once you’ve beaten Gym Leader Clair, she’ll command you to take a test in the nearby Dragon’s Den before giving you your badge.

Surf on the water behind the gym until you reach the cave entrance pictured below. Head inside.

Once inside, there are several ways of getting a Dratini.

  • 10% of all wild Pokémon encounters while surfing
  • 4% of all encounters while fishing with the Good Rod
  • 32% of all encounters while fishing with the Super Rod

If you’ve only just unlocked Dragon’s Den and don’t yet have your Super Rod , surfing is the quickest way to find one.

If you do already have your Super Rod, there is also a 3% chance of catching a Dragonair.

If this is your first time inside Dragon’s Den, there is also the opportunity to get a special Dratini as a gift.

We’ll explain more in the next section.

Location 3: The Special ExtremeSpeed Dratini in Dragon’s Den

To get your 8th gym badge, you must first pass the Dragon’s Den Master’s quiz. However, if you give all perfect answers, the Master will gift you a special Dratini that knows the move ExtremeSpeed.

ExtremeSpeed is a powerful Normal-Type move that hits before most other attacks, regardless of the user’s speed stat.

If you answer any of the questions wrong, the Master will still give you a Dratini, but it will know Leer instead of ExtremeSpeed.

To reach the Master, you will need a Pokémon with Surf and Whirlpool.

Start by heading into Dragon’s Den, the same way as in the previous method.

You’ll then need to Surf to the southwest corner of the water until you reach a whirlpool blocking your path.

Use Whirlpool to get through, then follow the water around until you come to the building pictured below. Go inside.

Once inside, talk to the Master at the back of the room.

Accept his test, and give the following answers:

  • Ally or Friend
  • Strategy or Training
  • Love or Knowledge

Once you’ve provided the correct answers, you’ll pass the test. Gym Leader Clair will reluctantly give you the 8th badge and leave quickly afterward.

To get your Dratini, you must first speak to her once more and receive the TM59 Dragon Pulse.

Leave the way you came, and she will approach you before you can exit the cave.

Note: If you leave Dragon’s Den with an Escape Rope or Dig, you will need to find Gym Leader Clair in her gym to get the TM before you can receive your Dratini.

Once you’ve got the TM, you can return to the Master for your Dratini. You will need a free space in your party to receive it.

Location 4: The Safari Zone’s Swamp Area

You can also catch both Dratini and Dragonair in the Swamp Area of the Safari Zone.

However, reliance on either the block-placing mechanic or the Super Rod means each is only available after at least defeating the Elite Four and unlocking the National Pokédex.

Dratini can be caught with the Good Rod after adding 10 waterside blocks, or with the Super Rod with no blocks required.

Dragonair can be caught only with the Super Rod after 15 waterside blocks have been added.

Evolving Your Dratini

The Dratini line don’t require any special methods to evolve them, just good-old-fashioned training.

Dratini begins evolving into Dragonair at level 30.

Dragonair then begins evolving into Dragonite at level 55.

Dratini evolving into Dragonair / Pokemon HGSS

Dratini and its evolutions are the 1st generation of pseudo-legendary Pokémon.

Pseudo-legendary Pokémon are characterized by their three-stage evolution chains, relatively high evolution levels, and uniquely high stats once they reach their final form.

So, while your Dratini may faint a fair few times while you’re training it, it will eventually become a force to be reckoned as the powerful Dragonite.

A Dragonite after some training / Pokemon HGSS

Dragonite are exceptionally well-balanced Pokémon, with versatile stats and a huge variety of moves allowing them to be all-out attackers, supporting players, or a mixture of both.

Dragonite’s Attack is its highest stat, so expect physical attacks to pack a particular punch. However, it is no slouch in the Special Attack department, so a mixture of physical and special attacks is still highly effective – especially when we consider the type coverage of all its possible moves.

Although a powerful attacker, Dragonite is no glass cannon.

Its respectable HP, Defense, and Special Defense stats mean it’s more than capable of taking hits. It can even heal itself with Roost for increased survivability.

Dragonite’s only mediocre stat is its Speed.

However, if you snagged the Dratini with ExtremeSpeed from Dragon’s Den, this high-priority move can counteract this weakness in sticky situations.

Dratini is a reptilian Pokémon with a blue serpentine body and a white underside. It has white, three-pronged fins on the sides of its head and a white bump on its forehead, which is its horn growing. Above its round, white snout are oval, purple eyes.

Dratini's life energy is constantly building so it is always growing, and can reach lengths of over six feet (2 meters). As it grows, it sheds its skin regularly; it hides behind a rapid waterfall during the process to protect itself, since the new skin is soft in texture. The shed skin can be tanned and used to create luxury boots. Dratini has been referred as the "Mirage Pokémon", because its existence was originally thought to be nothing more than a myth. Dratini was first discovered by a fisherman who spent 10 hours attempting to capture it. A small colony has also been found underwater, further confirming its existence. Dratini live near or in bodies of water with a rapid flow, such as the pools at the bottom of waterfalls. It lives a quiet life underwater, eating any food that sinks down to the bottom.

As mentioned in Pokémon Sleep , Dratini's sleeping habits used to be a mystery due to how rare it was. [1] However in recent years, Dratini's sleep styles have been discovered and well documented. This is due to trainers who have obtained Dratini and observed its sleeping habits. The four different sleep styles discovered are called Coiled Sleep , Wriggly Sleep , Uncoiled Sleep , and Atop-Belly Sleep .

In Generation II , Dratini and its evolved forms were the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Outrage , but other Pokémon could still inherit it via breeding .

Dratini evolves into Dragonair , which evolves into Dragonite .

(For specifics on this Pokémon's evolution in the games, refer to Game data→Evolution data .)

A Dratini appeared in Good-Bye, Pikachu?! , where it took a liking to Pikachu . When Giovanni showed up with Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan , Pikachu decided to protect it. Dratini then evolved into a Dragonair when it noticed that Pikachu got injured by Giovanni's Jolteon and Electabuzz . It evolved again into Dragonite when Clefairy pulled its tail.

Pokémon Zensho

In PZ06 , Satoshi found a Dratini while fishing in the Safari Zone . Soon afterwards, he traded it to a Fisherman in exchange for several Water-type Pokémon and the Safari Zone Warden 's missing dentures .

One Dratini figure has been released:

  • Next Quest : Dratini
  • In early English-language promotional material for Pokémon Red and Blue , Dratini was referred to as "Dragoon". Although this word can mean a European military unit that is transported on horseback but fights on foot, the name was probably selected as a combination of dragon and lagoon .
  • In Generation I and Generation II , Dratini and Dragonair can learn Hyper Beam via leveling up, but not via TM . This was fixed in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire .
  • Dratini and its evolved forms share their category with Horsea , its evolved forms, Salamence , and Kalosian Goodra . They are all known as the Dragon Pokémon.
  • Dratini was the inspiration for the naming of Hedruris dratini , a species of parasitic nematode . [2] [3]

Dratini appears to be based on sea serpents or ryu , traditional Japanese dragons or Chinese dragons who bring good luck. Its constant growth is similar to that of snakes, who grow as long as they live. Additionally, its reclusive nature, aquatic habitat, and the fact that, for a long time, it was considered a myth are reminiscent of the Loch Ness Monster .

Name origin

Dratini may be a combination of dragon and teeny , tiny , or mini .

Miniryu may be a combination of miniature and 竜 ryū (dragon).

TOP-11 Moscow Parks to Visit

I have chosen the best 11 Moscow parks to visit and spend a beautiful time for you. Do not miss and choose one that you like the most – cycling, festivals, flowers, panoramic views and many other things are waiting for you!

Gorky Park (The Central Park of Culture and Leisure) – The main one of the Moscow Parks

In my opinion this park could be called the main park of the city. Why? Because of its huge territory, the central location and the amount of people visiting the park daily.  It was founded in 1928 and in 2011 it was totally reconstructed. Now it pleases visitors with modern objects and soft green lawns.

  • Oktybrskaya or Park Kultuty metro station, Krimsky Val, 9

The Gorky park is a the right choice for everyone! The youth will like a free WiFi, bicycles, skateboards and other rentals; the couples will enjoy spending time near the river, watching a sunset; parents will appreciate colorful playgrounds and a room for mother and child. Everyone can find something for themselves: from yoga classes  to watching movies in a cozy summer cinema, from dance classes to volleyball playground. Gorky Park is also the venue for all kinds of exhibitions, festivals, events for children and adults. During the winter there is one of the biggest skating rinks in the park.

Museon Art Park – A Second Gorky they say

“Museon” is located on the opposite side of Krimsky Val street. And right now some people believe that Gorky and Museon together is a one space sharing the same beauty.

  • Oktybrskaya or Park Kultuty metro station, Krimsky Val, 2

The Park of Arts was named this way because there is the largest composition of open-air sculptures in Russia. In its territory there are already more than 1000 unique exhibits: from monuments of the socialist realism era to various kinds of contemporary art. But this is not all the attractions of the park. In recent years, “Museon” has become an important cultural site of the city. The park regularly hold many different concerts, festivals, educational projects in the field of art and design. There is a Central House of the Artist, a comfortable summer cinema and other attractions on territory. Be sure to stroll pedestrian Crimean embankment, which looks like a modern park.

Neskuchny Garden – True Russian Nature is Here

Neskuchny garden is located on the right bank of the Moscow River. Today it is also seen as a part of the Gorky Park. This landscape park is one of the oldest in the city and is protected by the state. Its name was received from the Neskuchnoye Estate of  Prince Trubetskoi which is still located in the park.

  • Leninsky Prospekt metro station, Leninsky Prospect, 30

This park is famous mostly for its location close to the Gorky park. It is a quite place with true nature, lots of trees and squirrels and also ancient architecture. As in every park, there are sports and playgrounds, cafes and even a football field.

Zaryadye Park – 5 Steps Away From The Red Square

The area of this brand new park was opened only in September 2017 and located in the very heart of Moscow – right near the Red Square.

  • Open from 10AM to 10PM
  • Teatralnaya, Okhotnyi ryad, Ploschad Revolutsii

The park has 4 zones, each of them represent different parts of Russian landscapes. Above the river there is a floating bridge from where you get to see one of the best panoramic views on Moscow. Other attractions of the park are 5D cinema where you can take a flight above Moscow, few cafes and restaurants, pretty lakes with fishes and old preserved churches. In addition there is still being built a  philharmonic hall, covered with a huge dome and an Ice cage where the temperature will always stay below zero degrees.

When you are on the Red Square do not miss it!

All-Russia Exhibition Center (VDNKh) – The Soviet Style Moscow Park

Park VDNKh – one of the most famous parks in Moscow. This park is one of the sights of the city as it hasn’t changed much since the Soviet era.

  • VDNKh metro station, Prospect Mira, 119

The symbol of VDNKh is a fountain with 16 women symbolizing the friendship of the nations of the USSR. Around this fountain there are all the pavilions representing 16 republics. Now inside the pavilions you find various shops, cafes and exhibitions. If you go deep inside the park you will find a rocket Vostok and and an aircraft. What is funny the inside of the aircraft there is actually a photo exhibition. Near the northern entrance you there is a famous sculpture “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman”. It is extremely famous among Russians as all the movies by Mosfilm corporation used to start with the picture of this statue. But if you go further inside the park you will reach a very calm area. A lake is there, forest and birds singing. Since the park occupies a large area I suggest you to rent a bicycle.

Sokolniki Park – A Place For A Hunt Or For Leisure?

The park got its name because of the royal falconry, which took place there in the past when there was a dense forest. (Sokol means a falcon.) In 2011 it was significantly transformed: updated lawns, landscaped ponds and picnic areas, restored summer cinema and theater, a large rose garden, sports grounds, bicycle paths and other things.

  • Sokolniki metro station, Sokolnichesky Val, 1, p. 1

From the main entrance along the alley you can walk to the Sokolniki circle, where 8 alleys form 9 sectors, in each of them you will find trees of the same breed.  The park is famous for its rosary, as well as flower decoration. On the territory of the park there are concert halls, a library, amusement zone, dances zone and many many other attractions. In winter the park has a skating rink (a free of charge one) and ski runs. During the warm season you can rent a bicycle.

Tsaritsino Park – A Different World Inside Moscow

Here you can walk for hours, admiring the most beautiful nature and magnificent architecture.

  • Open from 6AM to 12AM
  • Tsaritsyno metro station, Dolsky, 1

The most amazing part of the park is the lake with a light and musical fountain. Every evening the fountain starts the show. Lights and music combined make you feel like you are not in Moscow but in a fairy tale. The park is also well equipped for sports lovers and healthy lifestyle. There are volleyball and basketball courts, a tennis court, sports facilities for acrobatics, bodybuilding equipment.

What I personally like about this park is the atmosphere. This place is actually far from the city center but I love going there anyway. Whenever I go there I feel like I left Moscow with all its hectic lifestyle. It is the place where I relax, enjoy myself or a company of my friends and feel kind of different. By the way totally suggested for a date!

Kolomenskoye Park – Combination Of Reserve and Architecture

The Kolomenskoye park is actually a Museum-Reserve. It is a former residence of Russian tsars and one of the most scenic places in Moscow.

  • May to September – open from 8AM to 12AM, October to April – from 8AM to 9PM
  • Kolomenskoye metro station, Andropov Ave, 39

Alike with Tsaritsino park Kolomenskoye park has its own special atmosphere with all the architecture, trees, ponds and even a river bank. The park regularly hosts various folk festivals and different fairs. In summer time you can play with kites or rent a bicycle and ride around the huge area of the park.

I love the view that you get on the city from one of the hills near the river. I love the apple trees alleys and the beautiful churches. It is also a bit far from the city center but yet worth going there. One of my best friends even celebrated her wedding there.

Aptekarsky Garden or Botanical garden of the Moscow State University – The Best Botanical Garden in The World

Aptekar in Russian language means a pharmacist so basically it is a pharmacist’s garden. It was founded in 1706 by Peter The Great for growing medicinal plants for the royal family. But later they moved it from under the walls of the Kremlin to the current location.

  • Open from 10AM to 8PM
  • Prospect Mira metro station, Prospekt Mira, 26

In the botanical garden there are no attractions and noisy crowds of tourists. The area of the garden is not as big as any other park in Moscow. And the entrance is not free. But this exactly what makes this park one of the most comfortable in the city. In the Aptekarsky garden they grow thousands of different plants, flowers and trees. Some of the trees are more than 300 years old. They held different festivals there: flowers festivals, sand and ice sculptures expositions.

For me it is one of the most beautiful parks not only in Moscow but in the world. I have never seen so many different flowers and plants anywhere else. And trust me I am a real park lover. And what is more the staff really takes care about every single tree or plant there, some of the trees have names and stories. I love it there and I think the price is really worth what you get.

Victory Park – A Park That Makes Us Remember The War

The park is located on the Poklonnaya Hill and it has one of the world’s largest memorial complexes dedicated to the World War II. The park was opened for the 50th anniversary of the Victory on May 9, 1995. It is also one of the main venues in the city for holding a variety of mass events.

  • Park Pobedy metro station, Brothers Fonchenko, 7

On the main avenue of the park there are with 1418 fountains – exactly as long as the war lasted. Fountains make five water terraces, symbolizing five years of military operations. And in the center of the park there is the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. If you are interested in the history of the war do not miss it. The Poklonnaya Hill is a part of the park and from the hill you get one of the best views on the city of Moscow. And I could say this is the best place for watching the fireworks during the mass celebrations. But be aware it gets too crowded then. As in most of the other big parks you can rent a bicycle or rollers there.

Izmailovsky Park – A Mix of a Big Forest and Attractions

Izmaylovsky Park occupies a huge green territory, making up a large part of the Izmailovo district. The park consists of two parts: Izmaylovsky Park of Culture and Rest and the forest park of Izmailovo. First part is full of attractions and restaurants while the second one is like a real forest with pine trees, birch groves, beautiful clearings and ponds.

  • Izmaylovskaya, Shosse Entuziastov or Partizanskaya metro stations, Izmaylovsky Park

It is easy to spend there a whole day. A large landscaped area and a lot of various entertainments for children and adults will help you not to get bored. An observation wheel, a boat station, children’s playgrounds, a dance floor, sports grounds, a skate park – all this is only a small part of the possible leisure activities. In the park there are bike paths and a rental services.

I don’t go there often to be honest. But the park is very very close whenever to a souvenir market on Partizanskaya metro station. And whenever the weather is nice and I have enough of free time I stroll through the alleys of the park and enjoy the nature. So if you are going to the souvenir market too and you have enough free time then do go to the park too.

Before you head out and start gaming all the sexy Moscow girls , we have to talk money first. Bring plenty because in Moscow you can never bring a big enough bankroll. Remember, you’re the man so making a fuzz of not paying a drink here or there will not go down well.

Luckily most Moscow clubs don’t do cover fees. Some electro clubs will charge 15-20$, depending on their lineup. There’s the odd club with a minimum spend of 20-30$, which you’ll drop on drinks easily. By and large, you can scope out the venues for free, which is a big plus.

Bottle service is a great deal in Moscow. At top-tier clubs, it starts at 1,000$. That’ll go a long way with premium vodka at 250$, especially if you have three or four guys chipping in. Not to mention that it’s a massive status boost for getting girls, especially at high-end clubs.

Without bottle service, you should estimate a budget of 100-150$ per night. That is if you drink a lot and hit the top clubs with the hottest girls. Scale down for less alcohol and more basic places.

Dress code & Face control

Door policy in Moscow is called “face control” and it’s always the guy behind the two gorillas that gives the green light if you’re in or out.

In Moscow nightlife there’s only one rule when it comes to dress codes:

You can never be underdressed.

People dress A LOT sharper than, say, in the US and that goes for both sexes. For high-end clubs, you definitely want to roll with a sharp blazer and a pocket square, not to mention dress shoes in tip-top condition. Those are the minimum requirements to level the playing field vis a vis with other sharply dressed guys that have a lot more money than you do. Unless you plan to hit explicit electro or underground clubs, which have their own dress code, you are always on the money with that style.

Getting in a Moscow club isn’t as hard as it seems: dress sharp, speak English at the door and look like you’re in the mood to spend all that money that you supposedly have (even if you don’t). That will open almost any door in Moscow’s nightlife for you.

Types of Moscow Nightclubs

In Moscow there are four types of clubs with the accompanying female clientele:

High-end clubs:

These are often crossovers between restaurants and clubs with lots of tables and very little space to dance. Heavy accent on bottle service most of the time but you can work the room from the bar as well. The hottest and most expensive girls in Moscow go there. Bring deep pockets and lots of self-confidence and you have a shot at swooping them.

Regular Mid-level clubs:

They probably resemble more what you’re used to in a nightclub: big dancefloors, stages and more space to roam around. Bottle service will make you stand out more but you can also do well without. You can find all types of girls but most will be in the 6-8 range. Your targets should always be the girls drinking and ideally in pairs. It’s impossible not to swoop if your game is at least half-decent.

Basic clubs/dive bars:

Usually spots with very cheap booze and lax face control. If you’re dressed too sharp and speak no Russian, you might attract the wrong type of attention so be vigilant. If you know the local scene you can swoop 6s and 7s almost at will. Usually students and girls from the suburbs.

Electro/underground clubs:

Home of the hipsters and creatives. Parties there don’t mean meeting girls and getting drunk but doing pills and spacing out to the music. Lots of attractive hipster girls if that is your niche. That is its own scene with a different dress code as well.

What time to go out in Moscow

Moscow nightlife starts late. Don’t show up at bars and preparty spots before 11pm because you’ll feel fairly alone. Peak time is between 1am and 3am. That is also the time of Moscow nightlife’s biggest nuisance: concerts by artists you won’t know and who only distract your girls from drinking and being gamed. From 4am to 6am the regular clubs are emptying out but plenty of people, women included, still hit up one of the many afterparty clubs. Those last till well past 10am.

As far as days go: Fridays and Saturdays are peak days. Thursday is an OK day, all other days are fairly weak and you have to know the right venues.

The Ultimate Moscow Nightclub List

Short disclaimer: I didn’t add basic and electro clubs since you’re coming for the girls, not for the music. This list will give you more options than you’ll be able to handle on a weekend.

Preparty – start here at 11PM

Classic restaurant club with lots of tables and a smallish bar and dancefloor. Come here between 11pm and 12am when the concert is over and they start with the actual party. Even early in the night tons of sexy women here, who lean slightly older (25 and up).

The second floor of the Ugolek restaurant is an extra bar with dim lights and house music tunes. Very small and cozy with a slight hipster vibe but generally draws plenty of attractive women too. A bit slower vibe than Valenok.

Very cool, spread-out venue that has a modern library theme. Not always full with people but when it is, it’s brimming with top-tier women. Slow vibe here and better for grabbing contacts and moving on.

High-end: err on the side of being too early rather than too late because of face control.

Secret Room

Probably the top venue at the moment in Moscow . Very small but wildly popular club, which is crammed with tables but always packed. They do parties on Thursdays and Sundays as well. This club has a hip-hop/high-end theme, meaning most girls are gold diggers, IG models, and tattooed hip hop chicks. Very unfavorable logistics because there is almost no room no move inside the club but the party vibe makes it worth it. Strict face control.

Close to Secret Room and with a much more favorable and spacious three-part layout. This place attracts very hot women but also lots of ball busters and fakes that will leave you blue-balled. Come early because after 4am it starts getting empty fast. Electronic music.

A slightly kitsch restaurant club that plays Russian pop and is full of gold diggers, semi-pros, and men from the Caucasus republics. Thursday is the strongest night but that dynamic might be changing since Secret Room opened its doors. You can swoop here but it will be a struggle.

Mid-level: your sweet spot in terms of ease and attractiveness of girls for an average budget.

Started going downwards in 2018 due to lax face control and this might get even worse with the World Cup. In terms of layout one of the best Moscow nightclubs because it’s very big and bottle service gives you a good edge here. Still attracts lots of cute girls with loose morals but plenty of provincial girls (and guys) as well. Swooping is fairly easy here.

I haven’t been at this place in over a year, ever since it started becoming ground zero for drunken teenagers. Similar clientele to Icon but less chic, younger and drunker. Decent mainstream music that attracts plenty of tourists. Girls are easy here as well.

Sort of a Coyote Ugly (the real one in Moscow sucks) with party music and lots of drunken people licking each others’ faces. Very entertaining with the right amount of alcohol and very easy to pull in there. Don’t think about staying sober in here, you’ll hate it.

Artel Bessonitsa/Shakti Terrace

Electronic music club that is sort of a high-end place with an underground clientele and located between the teenager clubs Icon and Gipsy. Very good music but a bit all over the place with their vibe and their branding. You can swoop almost any type of girl here from high-heeled beauty to coked-up hipsters, provided they’re not too sober.

Afterparty: if by 5AM  you haven’t pulled, it’s time to move here.

Best afterparty spot in terms of trying to get girls. Pretty much no one is sober in there and savage gorilla game goes a long way. Lots of very hot and slutty-looking girls but it can be hard to tell apart who is looking for dick and who is just on drugs but not interested. If by 9-10am you haven’t pulled, it is probably better to surrender.

The hipster alternative for afterparties, where even more drugs are in play. Plenty of attractive girls there but you have to know how to work this type of club. A nicer atmosphere and better music but if you’re desperate to pull, you’ll probably go to Miks.

Weekday jokers: if you’re on the hunt for some sexy Russian girls during the week, here are two tips to make your life easier.

Chesterfield

Ladies night on Wednesdays means this place gets pretty packed with smashed teenagers and 6s and 7s. Don’t pull out the three-piece suit in here because it’s a “simpler” crowd. Definitely your best shot on Wednesdays.

If you haven’t pulled at Chesterfield, you can throw a Hail Mary and hit up Garage’s Black Music Wednesdays. Fills up really late but there are some cute Black Music groupies in here. Very small club. Thursday through Saturday they do afterparties and you have an excellent shot and swooping girls that are probably high.

Shishas Sferum

This is pretty much your only shot on Mondays and Tuesdays because they offer free or almost free drinks for women. A fairly low-class club where you should watch your drinks. As always the case in Moscow, there will be cute girls here on any day of the week but it’s nowhere near as good as on the weekend.

In a nutshell, that is all you need to know about where to meet Moscow girls in nightlife. There are tons of options, and it all depends on what best fits your style, based on the type of girls that you’re looking for.
