Since your safari starts at 2.30 pm, wearing a long-sleeved top and full-length trousers is still better so your skin is not exposed.

The overnight safari is an extension of the Desert Safari. Once the night entertainment is wrapped, our camp staff will put up the tent for your night stay. Slowly, the camp becomes empty, and the desert silence envelopes the camp. You may have a round of hubbly-bubbly sheesha before heading to your tent for a fantastic night. A night safari in Dubai in the heart of the desert is a thrilling experience. It combines a regular evening desert safari with an overnight stay under the stars.

Your overnight safari experience begins with you heading out into the desert in a 4×4 safari vehicle to enjoy the desert dune bashing. The journey will take you from the most renowned urban landscape in the world to a very rural desert landscape. The desert landscape means there are many Ghaf bushes dotted with grazing camels. Your tour guide shall prepare the vehicle for dune bashing by removing the tyres. In the interim, taking selfies and observing the vast expanse of desert and dunes of various shapes and sizes is possible. When you are ready, your guide will prepare you and the other passengers for the exciting journey ahead. Your guide carefully maneuvers the 4×4 through and on top of the dunes. Before you have a chance to catch your breath, he will take you down the steep, slow descent and then tangentially across the dunes. The dune bashing ceases at one of the highest peaks for sandboarding. Proceeding down the slope. Sandboarding is a desert sport that is very popular among Dubai locals. After a satisfying sandboarding session, you will proceed to our Arabic-style campsite under the magnificent desert sunset. When you arrive at the campsite, you will find our gleaming 4 x 4 quad bikes, ideal for your personal desert driving experience. Quad biking does not necessitate a driver’s license, and an experienced biker will supervise you. Quad biking is not included in your package and should be purchased separately. You will be greeted at the campsite with a warm welcome and fresh juice. Soon, an elaborate buffet-style dinner will be presented. There will be finger snacks and salads, followed by a full-course barbecue dinner with vegetarian and non-veg options, ending with a dessert station. While the dinner is in full swing, the center stage comes alive with various dance performances, including the Khaleeji dance, belly dance, and Tanura dance. The center stage performance comes to an end with a fantastic fire show. Our camp has many activities inside it, like henna tattooing, enjoying a round of sheesha along with local coffee called “kawa,” or taking selfies in Arabic dress of Abaya for women and dish dash for men.

While the camp starts getting empty after the dinner and entertainment ends, our camp team prepares for your night stay. A temporary camp is set up under the stars. They put typical bedding inside the camp for a comfortable sleepover. Our camp personnel will get you plenty of tea or coffee, and a bonfire will be lit for you to sit, relax, and enjoy the silent star-lit sky. Our main camp will be closed, and a security guard will be in place to ensure your safety. The morning will be an experience. Imagine waking to chirping birds, a beautiful sunrise, and silence. We would serve you a delicious breakfast of your choice of bread, butter, and eggs (made as per your choice). Once done, we will drive you back to your station, and you will be back to the hustle and bustle of Dubai, a city that never sleeps.

We provide you with a sleeping tent and sleeping gear inside our Arabesque campsite. We also provide morning tea/coffee and a simple breakfast. The overnight safari includes a return trip to Dubai on our vehicle. Of course, overnight safari is an extension of evening safari; hence, it includes all the activities of Evening safari.

If you love the outdoors, the silence and serenity of the desert, and the desert sunrise, then an overnight safari is absolutely worth it. As we all know, the desert gets very hot during the day and cold during the night. Even during the peak summer, the midnight temperature in the desert could dip as low as 25C in the hottest months.

The safari is set within the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, in a secluded camp. The camp is set across two characterful spaces with 8 canvas safari tents, each with a comfortable double bed, private decking area, and a rustic desert charm. Individual toiletry amenities and shared bathroom facilities are also provided on site.

The Overnight Desert Safari experience includes a complimentary parking space for your vehicle, a BBQ dinner and cooked breakfast, and a variety of unique activities that will contribute to making your overnight stay a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.

Beginning at the DDCR entrance, the Arabian Adventures team will be on hand to greet you and transfer you to your overnight camp. Upon check out, you are welcome to take a short tour of the Reserve’s visitors centre at your convenience or begin the journey home with unforgettable memories.

Included as part of the Overnight Desert Safari experience are activities including a camel ride on an Arabian Camel, a walking night safari by torch light followed by fireside marshmallows, and endless wildlife spotting opportunities throughout your time on safari. Every Overnight Desert Safari experience is inclusive of a soft drinks package for each guest.

• Comfortable clothing and suitable walking shoes are recommended for your time on an Overnight Desert Safari. We also recommend that you pack some warm clothing as the desert can get quite chilly after sunset, along with sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat

• While we endeavour to show you as much wildlife as possible, we cannot predict the movements of every species. Therefore, if some of the animals change their plans, we can’t guarantee you’ll spot them.
• Tent allocation remains entirely at the discretion of the Arabian Adventures team, however we will do our best to accommodate any specific guest preferences where possible
• Please inform our team of any existing medical conditions before joining us for your Overnight Desert Safari. Where necessary, we will work to make alternative arrangements for certain activities to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all guests throughout the experience

• The Overnight Desert Safari operates a minimum age restriction of 5+. However, when the entire Overnight camp is reserved exclusively for private use, this minimum age restriction is lifted

Cancellation policy

• We understand that plans can change. If they do, please let us know at least 24 hours prior to your activity. We will not be able to process refunds for bookings cancelled less than 24 hours before your activity starts
• Full payment for your booking is required at least two days prior to your activity. If payment is not received before the expected date, we reserve the right to cancel your activity
• In exceptional circumstances, we may have to amend the Overnight Desert Safari schedule, or cancel the activity entirely. We reserve the right to amend and cancel activities in such circumstances, and will ensure we communicate any changes in advance where possible

Is the overnight desert safari suitable for solo travellers?

Absolutely! Both shared vehicle and private vehicle packages are available for solo guests, and accommodation can be reserved by solo travellers too.

How many people does each tent accommodate during the overnight stay?

The tent accommodation is designed to host a maximum of two adults and one child (aged 5-11).

Are special dietary requests accommodated during the stay?

We can accommodate special dietary requirements during your stay with us. All we ask is that you share these in advance, so we can prepare your request accordingly.

Are there any restrictions on carrying electronic devices to the overnight campsite?

Electronic items such as mobile phones are allowed on the campsite. How else can you get those Insta-worthy shots, right? Your accommodation won’t have any charging points however, so we’d recommend bringing a portable charging pack with you.

We also ask for you to refrain from bringing any items which may be harmful to the wildlife and environment we are looking to protect, like e-cigarettes for example.

What to wear for the overnight desert camping in Dubai?

We suggest wearing leisurely clothes that are easy to move around in, as well as comfortable walking shoes. We also suggest bringing warm clothes as the desert gets cool after sundown!

Is the desert camping experience suitable for children?

Children are welcome to enjoy the desert camping experience with us, under the following circumstances:

• Children under the age of 5 can only be accommodated when the camp is privately booked on an exclusive basis.
• For children under the age of 5, a private vehicle should be reserved for the safari experience and their information shared with us at the time of booking.

Are there vegetarian or vegan meal options available?

We are able to accommodate vegetarian or vegan meal requests when they are shared with our team in advance.

What safety measures are in place at the campsite?

The safety and wellbeing of our overnight guests is a top priority, and we have taken a variety of steps to ensure the overnight experience is comfortable and safe.

A comprehensive risk assessment has been conducted for our campsite facilities and activities, to ensure that potential risks are identified and effectively managed. While you’re camel riding, relaxing by the campfire, and sleeping – know that we have taken precautions to ensure your safety.

Although an emergency of any kind is highly unlikely, we understand the importance of being prepared. We have emergency procedures in place and have trained all our Safari Guides accordingly to put these into practice. Our Guides are also certified in First Aid and have access to first aid kits and defibrillators.

We have also taken steps to ensure fire safety at all times. Our campfire is carefully managed by our Safari Guides, and we have multiple fire extinguishers conveniently located throughout the campsite and the Guides are trained in their use. If the need arises to evacuate, our campsite offers an open plan layout with plenty of safe egress options.

As a rule, we encourage all guests to act in a respectful and mindful way throughout their time with us. We discourage any behaviours which could disrupt any wildlife or compromise personal safety in any way. With this in mind, while we do not prohibit any specific items, we ask our guests to make reasoned judgements about what they bring into the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve.

A 4WD Land Cruiser will pick you up from your hotel. Once you reach the Lahbab desert, you will take a 20-min break before the dune drive.

Dubai: Visitors can hang out at Dubai Safari Park after sunset this Ramadan as it is offering ‘night passes’ for the first time.

The Night Pass experience from 6pm to midnight was announced on social media on Sunday when the sprawling wildlife sanctuary shared a post about its Ramadan timings. “We’ve got updated hours this Ramadan! Join us every day from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM for our regular park experiences, and from 6:00 PM - 12:00 AM for our Night Pass experience!” Dubai Safari Park said in an Instagram post.

Dubai Safari Park is home to around 3,000 animals, with 78 species of mammals – including 10 different carnivores and 17 primates – 50 types of reptiles, 111 kinds of birds plus amphibians and invertebrates, all living on the 119-hectare site.

No animal display

However, the Park’s website explained that the night passes do not let the visitors see the animals after the sunset. “With this ticket you can enter the park to enjoy the weather,” it stated.

Restaurants and food trucks will be available for the visitors, but animals will not be available during this time, it clarified. “Timing [for the night pass] will be 6pm till 10pm during the weekdays and till 12am during the weekends,” the public announcement added.

The ticket rates on the website also showed that visitors will have to shell out an extra Dh20 for the night pass.

While the regular park entrance tickets are priced at Dh50 for adults and Dh20 for children, night passes cost Dh70 for adults and Dh40 for children.

Timings of other leisure sites

Meanwhile, Dubai Municipality has announced the Ramadan timings for other entertainment sites managed by the civic authority including leisure destinations like Dubai Frame and Dubai Quranic Park.

The opening hours of different entertainment facilities under the municipality will be as below.

Dubai Frame: 11am to 7pm

Quranic Park (The Cave of Miracles and Glass House): Noon to 11pm and noon to 7pm.

Children’s City: 12pm to 4pm

• By Car: If you are visiting by car, you can access Gate 1 of Dubai Safari Park through Ras Al Khor Road (opposite side of Dragon Mart) and Gate 2 through Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street.

• Littering inside the park or feeding/teasing the animals is strictly prohibited.
• Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, and roller skates are also prohibited within the park premises.
• You are also not allowed to use balloons, balls, toy guns, drones, or flash photography as these may scare the animals.
• Smoking is restricted other than in designated smoking areas around the park.
• Consumption of alcoholic drinks is also prohibited here.
• Outside food, beverages, and pets are not allowed as this may affect the park animals’ safety.

• All guests are subjected to screening by the park’s security team at the entrance for the health and security of the animals.
• Guests should be appropriately attired wherein their knees and shoulders should be covered keeping in mind the culture and sentiments of the country.

How to Visit Dubai Safari Park?

Best time to visit the dubai safari park, weekday vs weekend.

Weekdays (Sunday-Wednesday) offer a calmer atmosphere, shorter queues and more opportunities to observe the animals at your own pace. Visit early mornings between 9 am and 11 am for shorter lines to escape the heat and to encounter animals when they're most active.

On the other hand, the park comes alive with families and tourists close to weekends between Thursday and Saturday, leading to busier pathways and potentially longer wait times for shows and attractions.

Peak season vs Low season

For the least crowded experience, prioritize weekdays during the low season, April and May or September and October. If pleasant weather is your top priority, weekdays or early mornings during the peak season, November to March, offer a good balance.

African Village
