Busted announce 20th Anniversary Greatest Hits Tour with Hanson and Loser Kid 2.0 release with Simple Plan

Busted 's Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis and James Bourne are set to celebrate wo decades in music with their 20th Anniversary & Greatest Hits Tour later this year.

After teasing reunion plans on social media, the group will embark on a 15-date UK arena tour alongside support acts Hanson (!), New Hope Club and The Tyne.

And that's not all. The boys will also release a 15-track album featuring reworkings of their classics; the first track lifted from it being a brand-new version of Loser Kid (Loser Kid 2.0) with Simple Plan on April 14.

Tickets for the tour will be released on general sale at 9am on March 31. Fans who sign up to Busted’s mailing list will receive pre-sale access from 9am on March 29.

When is Busted's Loser Kid 2.0 with Simple Plan released?

Loser Kid 2.0 - a reworking of the closing track from Busted's debut album featuring Canadian rockers Simple Plan - will be released on April 14.

Busted burst onto the scene with their debut release in September 2002, going on to achieve four UK Number 1 singles (You Said No, Crashed the Wedding, Who's David and double A-side Thunderbirds/3AM) and three Top 10 albums (eponymous debut Busted, A Present for Everyone and Half Way There).

Following Busted's disbandment in January 2005, the group went on to achieve solo success.

Matt Willis bagged himself four Top 40 solo singles (peaking at Number 7 with debut Up All Night), Charlie Simpson claimed three Top 40 singles and four Top 40 albums as a member of rock quartet Fightstar , as well as two solo Top 40 LPs. James Bourne scored two Top 40 singles and a Top 40 album with his group Son of Dork ; also releasing solo material.

In 2014, Busted joined forces with McFly's Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter to form 'supergroup' McBusted . The group enjoyed a Top 20 single with Air Guitar (12) and Top 10 self-titled album (9).

Busted's last album as a group - Half Way There - peaked at Number 2 in February 2019.

Busted's setlist for the first shows of the Greatest Hits tour has been confirmed

Fans heading to Busted's huge 20th anniversary tour can expect to hear plenty of their most popular tracks.

The pop-rock band are celebrating their illustrious career in September with a new greatest hits album - and are hitting the road in support. The tour will see them play arenas across the UK and Ireland over the coming weeks.

Busted will continue the tour on Wednesday (5 October) with a show at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena. But what songs could they perform?

Here's all you need to know:

What is Busted's setlist for Greatest Hits tour?

The trio have played two shows on the UK and Ireland tour so far. It has included stops at the Plymouth Pavilions and the Cardiff International Arena.

It gives fans a hint of what to expect from the remaining gigs in the coming weeks. For those heading to the show in Swansea on 5 September, you can likely expect to hear the following songs:

From 'Air Hostess' to 'Loser Kid'

James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson, better known as Busted , have now started their '20th Anniversary & Greatest Hits Tour'! Tickets for the band's tour went on sale earlier this year, selling out within hours, so the boys ended up releasing even more dates for their fans.

Now that the band are on tour, we thought we'd take a look through their set list and see which hits fans can expect to see them perform on stage. From their popular tunes such as 'Crashed The Wedding' to 'Loser Kid', to their cover of Hanson's ' MMMBop 2.0 ', which they perform with their special guests.

How did Busted announce their tour?

Busted shared the good news about their tour's extra dates shortly after their tickets went on sale saying: 'You guys are incredible. Seven new dates added, all on sale now. 💥 Ireland we’re working on getting to you too so watch this space 💥 this is going to be the most epic tour EVER'.

After teasing fans with a date and the hashtag #Busted20 , the band reunited in March and announced a huge tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

With four Number 1 songs under their belt, and many more huge hits such as 'What I Go To School For', 'Year 3000' and 'Sleeping with the Light On' to name just a few, their tour will be BUSTING at the seams.

Busted's tour sees the band reunite after a break of three years, and perform their biggest hits to their fans across the country.

Girls Aloud

Girls Aloud have announced they will be reuniting for a tour in 2024. The tour is called 'The Girls Aloud Show' and will see the group performing many of their fantastic hits in celebration of their late bandmate Sarah Harding.

Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj will be going on her 'Pink Friday 2 World Tour' in May 2024, including UK dates, in Manchester, Birmingham and London.

Jonas Brothers 2024

Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas, otherwise known as the Jonas Brothers, will play four UK dates in September 2024 (rescheduled from June), in Manchester, London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

P!nk is bringing her 'Summer Carnival Tour' back to the UK for 2024. The singer will be supported by The Script, Gayle and DJ and producer KidCutUp. Her tour takes place throughout June 2024.

Anne-Marie has announced a continuation of her 'Unhealthy Club' tour. This new summer tour will see the singer performing at festivals and other outdoor locations. Her summer tour will take place in June and July 2024.

Taylor Swift - 'The Eras Tour' 2024

Taylor Swift has now announced several UK dates for her 'Eras' tour. The singer will be coming to Liverpool, Edinburgh, Cardiff and London in June and August 2024.

Tom Grennan - Gunnersbury Park

Tom Grennan has announced his biggest headline gig ever at Gunnersbury Park, London on Saturday 10th August 2024.

Busted will be going on tour in the summer of 2024, starting on 17th May in Marlow and continuing throughout the summer until 31st August in Scarborough.

Justin Timberlake

Becky Hill - Arena tour 2024

Becky Hill has announced nine UK dates for her first arena tour in 2024. They take place in October 2024.

'Jumping All Over The World' legends Scooter are heading around the UK and Ireland on their 30th anniversary tour - titled 'Thirty, Rough and Dirty'. Dates take place in October and November.

Charli XCX has announced four extra dates for her 'BRAT' UK tour, with special guest Shygirl. The singer, known for hits such as 'Boom Clap', and 'Speed Drive' from the Barbie movie, will be performing in Manchester, London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

Recent weeks have seen Busted team up with Simple Plan and Neck Deep for a series of 2.0 reworkings of their fan favorites ‘Loser Kid’ and ‘Meet You There’ . Now the campaign continues with a fresh spin on the concept as Busted team up with HANSON for a brand new version of the American brothers’ 1997 #1 smash hit ‘MMMBop’ . It emerges ahead of Busted’s upcoming Greatest Hits tour, which features HANSON as special guests at all shows from September 9th onwards.   A Busted and HANSON collab is such a no-brainer, it’s surprising that it hasn’t happened before. With HANSON joining the upcoming tour dates, the musical collaboration was essential. Once I realized the beginning was "Look look it's Hanson" (I missed it the first few times), I was like.... I recognize that.... Weird Al said that when they were on the Weird Al show in '97, so I found the clip on YouTube and it sounds exactly the same so I need to know if they used the clip or said it for fun, or if it's a total coincidence!

It definitely brought back that state of being 14 at summer camp….listening to Mmmbop on full blast from my Walkman (YES, a tape!) as the camp counselors granted that hour of chill time before lights out. I loved it for all it represents, and I like the reinvention with the pop vibes….but can it be a true 2.0 if Ike and Zac aren’t on it?! I’m going to have to think about this one.

Busted team up with Hanson for new version of ‘MMMBop’

'MMMBop 2.0' follows recent re-workings of Busted classics alongside Neck Deep and Simple Plan

Busted have teamed up with Hanson for new version of the latter’s classic hit ‘MMMBop’ – listen to ‘MMMBop 2.0’ below.

In recent months, the reunited ’00s heroes have been re-working their own hits, collaborating with Neck Deep and Simple Plan on new versions of their biggest hits.

Hanson will support Busted on their 20th anniversary greatest hits tour of the UK later this year, and to celebrate the two bands have come together for the re-worked track.

“It’s been such an honour to sing this ’90s classic song with the band who made it 25 years on from original release!” Busted’s James Bourne said in a statement.

“To have them as special guests on tour with us in September will be really special too, we’re huge fans of Hanson!”

Hanson’s Taylor Hanson added: “It’s been a thrill to reimagine MMMBop with Busted and to see how a song with such history comes to life in a new way. This is a true fusion of Hanson and Busted, we can’t wait to share it.”

As part of their 20th anniversary celebrations, Busted will be unveiling 15 re-worked songs from their back catalogue alongside a host of artists.

The band also recently added extra dates to their 2023 UK reunion tour . The trio are set to hit the road in September to mark their 20th anniversary. They will play a special greatest hits set at arenas across the country, including The O2 in London.

Busted announce 20th anniversary tour, with Hanson supporting

Busted have announced details of a new UK arena tour to mark the group's 20th anniversary.

The three-piece pop-rockers - Charlie Simpson , Matt Willis and James Bourne - made their chart debut in late 2002 with 'What I Go To School For' and went on to enjoy a string of hits including 'Year 3000', 'Air Hostess', 'Thunderbirds Are Go' and 'Crashed The Wedding'.

The tour kicks off in Plymouth on September 2 and takes in 15 dates including London's The O2 and stops in Liverpool, Glasgow, Cardiff and Birmingham.

Fraternal boyband Hanson , known for songs including 'MMMBop', will support the group on 10 of the dates, while New Hope Group will also be on the bill.

Busted are also recording new versions of 15 of their classic songs, starting with 'Loser Kid', out on April 14.
