At next morning Checkout from chintpurni hotel.  We Proceed for Jwala ji which is about 30 kms from Chintpurni. Reach Jwala ji Devi in One hour time and have Drashan of Jwala mata (sacred fire coming from rock crevasse) and Akbar’s chatra..After visit we proceed for Kangra Deviji also known as Brajeshwari –Brajeshvari Devi, which is about 40 Km from Jawalaji Temple. Reach Kangra – Brajeshwari Temple, Kangra. Have Darshan at the Kangra Devi Temple. After Darshan, visit the famous Kangra Fort.And overnight stay at Kangra hotel.

Maa Jwala Ji : the another holy place is Jwala devi. Have a darshan Of Maa jwala devi. Jwala Devi temple is also known as Jwala Ji temple located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh is one of its kind, there is no idol placed inside, but a flame. It is one of the 51 Shaktipitha and Hindus believe that a visit to Jwala Devi temple in Kangra leads to end of their struggle and commencement of happy days. Day:-3 Kangra Devi (Brajeshwari Devi) –chamunda Devi-Dharamshala

At Next morning we check out  from Kangra Deviji also known as Brajeshwari –Brajeshvari Devi, we proceed to  Chamunda Devi temple . Enjoy the scenic route towards the temple .Reach Temple in one hour’s time, pray at the temple and spend next one hour in the temple, adjoining market and surroundings.nd back to chamunda. After chamundaDevi darshan .we proceed to baijnath temple also. After that we proceed to Dhramshala.

Chamunda Devi : The another famous and holy place is Chamunda Devi temple. The name is a combination of Chanda and Munda, two monsters which Devi killed.The famous temple of Ma Chamunda is in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Devi appeared to the priest in a dream giving her consent. She directed him to dig in a certain spot and an ancient idol would be found and that idol should be installed in the temple and worshipped as Her form.

Jwalaji (flame) or Jwala Mukhi (flame mouth) is  most ancient temple besides Vaishno Devi. It is mentioned in the Mahabharata and other scriptures.

There is a natural cave where eternal flames continue to burn. Some say there are seven or nine flames for the seven divine sisters or the nine Durgas. It is here that Sati’s tongue fell which can now be seen in the form of the flame.

Vist Gorakh Dibbi in Jwalamukhi

Guru Gorakhnath was so powerful in his tapasya that Mother appeared before him and asked for a boon. Guru Gorakhnath asked her to give him khichri. With Jwalaji’s power the cold water started boiling and Guruji asked mother to wait for him till he comes back. After this Guru left Jwalaji and never returned… so that Shakti remains there as per her promise.

Gorakh Tibbi (wrongly spoken as Dibbi) is the place where that cold water is boiling. A Nath sadhu will show the small pit where water is boiling and is cold. This is due to the fact that gas is bubbling out from the water and it looks like boiling. Then the Nath Sadhu will put a burning flame on the surface of water and with a booom, the blue flame comes out of water and goes upto roof

Naina Devi Temple Bilaspur

On a beautiful hilltop in the Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh sits the revered temple of Shri Naina Devi Ji. It is a notable place of worship in the state as it is home to one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, representing the fallen body part (eyes in this case) of the Goddess Sati. The dedicated followers of Devi (goddess) are seen in large numbers throughout the year, especially during festive times. 

The Shri Naina Devi is an important pilgrimage center for Hindus and Sikhs. It attracts visitors from nearby cities of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and others. 

History of Naina Devi Temple

Several mythologies and legends are associated with the temple, but the most important one is that of the goddess Sati. It is believed that after the goddess burnt herself alive in the Yagna (pious fire offering), Lord Shiva, in a fury, marched forward, causing huge destruction. To stop Shiva, Lord Vishnu released his Sudarshana Chakra (spinning disc-like weapon) and cut Sati's body into 51 parts. Shri Naina Devi Temple is the spot where Sati's eyes fell.

Another legend tells us how the Shri Naina Devi Temple is a Mahishapeeth. It was in this vicinity that the goddess defeated the demon Mahishasur. The demon had received an immortality boon from Lord Brahma. However, he could only be destroyed by an unmarried woman. Undermining the power of a woman, Mahishasur started professing confusion and spreading terror on earth. This is how the Devi was created, with all the gods combining their powers and offering to Devi to defeat the demon. Devi successfully defeated Mahishasur, and in the end, when she took out both his eyes, she got the name Naina Devi.

Similarly, a story of a Gujjar boy named Naina is believed to have started the temple's name. While grazing his chattel, the boy discovered Devi's abstract manifestation. He witnessed a white cow showering her milk upon a stone for several days, he finally discussed his experience with the King, Raja Bir Chand. The king then built this temple at this spot after witnessing the act.

Shri Naina Devi is offered Puja Archana 5 times a day; the offerings vary with each Puja, followed by different aartis. The devotees chant out Jaikaras or praises of the Devi and the names of her manifestations. The devotees ring the bell and it is believed that the sound of the bell keeps away all things that are not auspicious. Fairs commemorating the goddess are held here during Shravan Ashtami, Navratri, Chaitra, and Ashwin Navrati. Devotees in a large number visit the temple - it is one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the northern part of the country. The auspicious nine-day celebration is prepared with immense respect and faith.

Structure of Naina Devi Temple Himchal Pradesh

The temple has a peepal tree on the left side of the entrance. On the tree's opposite side, there are idols of Lord Ganesha and Lord Hanuman. At the entrance of the main temple, two statues of lions greet devotees and tourists. 

Naina Devi Temple’s inner sanctum has three idols - Kali Devi, the Eyes of the Shakti, and Lord Ganesha, from left to right.

Naina Devi Temple Nainital

On the edges of the Naini Lake, stands the Naina Devi Temple, a famous Hindu pilgrimage site in Nainital. According to the legends, Naina Devi temple came into existence when Lord Shiva was carrying the corpse of Sati, and her eyes fell to the ground where the temple currently stands. The town, the lake, and the temple borrow its name Naina (eyes) Devi temple. Finding its ways from Kushan period, popularly known as Nanda or Naina Devi in the Kumaon region, an ancient temple is understood to have been built in 15th century AD, which might have been destroyed by a landslide. Later in 1842, the first Naina Devi idol was installed by Moti Lal Shah. However, in 1880, the temple was completely ruined because of the landslide. Soon, the temple was rebuilt again in 1883 by locals.

Inside the temple, there is a vast courtyard, towards its left is a sacred peepal tree and to the right is the temple where idols of Lord Ganesh and Hanuman are installed. The main entrance of the temple has two lion statues posted outside. Inside the main sanctum, one can do darshan of three deities- Kali Devi on the extreme left, the centre representing two Netras or eyes is Maa Naina Devi and towards the right is the idol of Lord Ganesh.

The temple attracts thousands of travellers and dwellers during the Nanda Ashtami, a grand festival that runs for eight days in the premises of Naina Devi temple. Every year a statue immersion ceremony is celebrated here since 1819-19. Other festivals like Navratri and Chaitra attracts a massive crowd. The reach the temple one can easily walk from the main bus stand of Nainital or can take a rickshaw to Mallital bus stand, followed by a 300 m walk.

Day 1: chandigarh – naina devi – chintpurni.

Pick up from Chandigarh airport/ railway station and drive to Naina Devi temple. Goddess Naina Devi, located in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Temple is located on the hilltop and is accessible by cable car and by walk also Depending on time availability. Apart from the religious significance, the temple is situated in a picturesque location with lush greenery and beautiful landscapes.

After the visit to Naina Devi temple, drive to Chintpurni ji which is located in Una district. It takes around 3 to 4 hrs to reach Chintpurni ji . On arrival,you will be transferred to the hotel. If time permits, you may visit the temple or plan for the next day early in the morning. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Chintpurni – Jwala ji – kangra – Dharamshala

Morning visit Maa Chintpurni temple. Chintpurni Mata Temple, also known as Chinnamastika Temple. According to the legend, it is believed that Goddess Chintpurni grants relief from worries and troubles (chinta), and hence she is named Chintpurni. The temple is dedicated to the severed head of Goddess Sati, which is believed to have fallen at this spot.

After visiting Maa Chintpurni temple, drive to Dharamshala and enroute visit Jwala Ji temple and Kangra Ji temple.

The Jwala Ji Temple is situated in the lower Himalayan town of Jwalamukhi. It is located in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Jwala Ji Temple doesn’t house an idol but a continuously burning blue flame that emanates from the rock sanctum. There are nine flames representing the nine manifestations of Goddess Durga.

After Jwala Ji  , drive to Kangra Devi temple also known as Nagarkot. The main deity of the temple is Goddess Bajreshwari, a form of Goddess Durga.

After the temple darshan, you will be transferred to the hotel in Dharamshala . Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 : Dharamshala – Baijnath – Chamunda Devi – Dharamshala

Morning visit Chamunda Devi followed by the visit Palampur tea gardens & baijnath temple.

Chamunda Devi temple is dedicated to Goddess Chamunda, a fearsome aspect of the goddess Durga. According to history, Goddess Chamunda is said to have killed the demons Chand and Mund at this location. The goddess is often depicted as a powerful and fierce deity. The temple is set against a backdrop of the Dhauladhar mountain range, providing a scenic and serene environment for worship.

Later drive to Baijnath temple enroute visiting Tea gardens of Palampur.

Baijnath Temple is a historic and significant Hindu temple located in the town of Baijnath in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Baijnath Temple is situated on the left bank of the River Binwa, a tributary of the Beas River. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is also known as the Baijnath Shiva Temple.

After full day visits, return back to the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 : Dharamshala – Chandigarh

After breakfast, drive to Chandigarh and drop by the airport or railway station with sweet memories of your trip.

There is a huge Peepal tree that seems like sheltering the visitors in Naina Devi temple. Across the Peepal tree is an idol of Lord Hanuman. Within the inner sanctum are sculpted figures of three deities; in the centre are two netras (eyes) that represent Naina Devi, to the left is Mata Kali Devi and to the right, Lord Ganesha. The main shrine of Maa Naina Devi is bordered by two lion statues.

Also Naini Devi temple finds mention in Kushan period. Built in 15th AD, Naina Devi temple idol was installed by a devotee Moti Ram Shah in 1842. After a drastic landslides in 1880, Naina Devi temple was completely destroyed. Soon in 1883 locals build again the Naina Devi Temple since they have deep faith on Maa Naina Devi.
