Hi. I will travel next week to Serbia with my Deutsche bf. I have a Residence permit from Germany as i am working currently as a Nurse. We will just stay there for one week. We only have bought one way ticket, because we will travel by car going home in Germany. Do i still need a visa to be able to enter to Serbia?

If you have a resident permit, than you are visa-exempt. But, please also check Serbia’s protocols.

my wife is filipina but she has irish long term visa sticker in her passport she can be visa on arrival in serbia

“Visa is not required for passengers holding either a valid visa or residence permit issued by an EU member state, Schengen Area member state or the United States provided the period of stay does not exceed the expiry date of the document. Maximum stay of 90 days.”

As long as she has a valid multiple entry visa, then she can go without applying for another one

Good day. I would like to verify with you. I have a 10yr multiple entry U.S. visa. So I can just purchase tickets without need for a Serbia visa? Thank you.

You can use a multiple entry US VISA to enter Serbia. I have been to Serbia 5 times since 2012. The first 2 times I applied via the Embassy in Jakarta until I got my US B1/B2 which I used for the next 3 entries. Serbia is fast becoming a tourist destination – I’ve been on almost all of them on road trips. You can also use your US VISA to enter Montenegro and Bosnia. Going further you’ll need a Schengen Visa, coz we highly recommend crossing over to Slovenia (via Croatia) or Hungary and Austria. Enjoy!

Hi Emma, would just like to clarify: When you entered Serbia or Montenegro using US visa, did you travel from the Philippines? I have never used my US visa to enter other countries, but planning to do so since I have no time and patience to apply for a Schengen visa. Thanks.

For Montenegro, unused is okay. I’m not sure for Serbia.
