Slipknot Book Fall 2022 Knotfest Roadshow Tour in U.S. With 2 Special Guests

Slipknot  have just announced the fall 2022 U.S. leg of their ongoing " Knotfest Roadshow " tour. It starts in late September with a new group of nine dates across the United States featuring support from two special guest artists,  Ice Nine Kills and Crown the Empire .

The upcoming Slipknot trek kicks off on Sept. 20 in Nashville, Tennessee, and wraps up roughly three weeks later on Oct. 7 in Irvine, California. Sprinkled in are Slipknot's scheduled festival spots at Louder Than Life  in Kentucky and Aftershock  in Northern California.

The Knotfest Roadshow has already been tearing across North America throughout the spring.  In This Moment and Jinjer  supported Slipknot on the first 2022 leg of the tour, which covered much of the U.S. and parts of Canada throughout March and April. During a couple of recent concerts, Slipknot had to pause their performances  to help out concertgoers .

During a Slipknot show in Illinois last week, lead vocalist Corey Taylor  told the audience that new music from the Midwestern masked metal band is likely " within the next month ." Last year, Slipknot released the single " The Chapeltown Rag ," the group's first new material since their 2019 album,  We Are Not Your Kind . Taylor's latest solo effort, the  CMFB…Sides  EP, emerged in February.

This week, Slipknot will conclude the  second spring2022 leg of the Knotfest Roadshow tour with  Cypress Hill and Ho99o9  before heading to Europe  for several shows this summer. Get Slipknot concert tickets here.

Earlier this month, SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor said the band's new album would be released "very soon." The follow-up to 2019's "We Are Not Your Kind" was produced by Joe Barresi , who has previously worked with AVENGED SEVENFOLD , QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and CHEVELLE , among many others.

In February, Taylor told SiriusXM 's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" about the musical direction of the new SLIPKNOT material: "It's really killer, man. It's darker than 'We Are Not Your Kind' , but there's a ton of melody. I've been telling everybody that it's like a heavier version of 'Vol. 3[: (The Subliminal Verses)]' . It's got so many textures and layers. The heavy stuff has attack but the melodic stuff you can just sink your teeth in; there's a lot of great melodies and hooks. I'm really, really excited for people to hear it."

"We Are Not Your Kind" was released in August 2019. The LP sold 118,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week of release to land at position No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The next leg of the Knotfest Roadshow will see Slipknot hitting the road with Ice Nine Kills and Crown The Empire later this year…

As the second leg of Slipknot 's Knotfest Roadshow run starts to wrap up, the band have just announced a third leg for later in the year.

The Iowa metal legends will be bringing along Ice Nine Kills and Crown The Empire for their upcoming fall run, which will kick off at Nashville, TN's Bridgestone Arena on September 20, and go through to Irvine, CA's FivePoint Amphitheater on October 7. Tickets go on general sale this Friday, June 17, at 10am local time.

Of course, at a recent Knotfest Roadshow date in Ohio , frontman Corey Taylor promised the crowd that new music was on the horizon. “Now, we don't have an exact date on it, but I'm here to tell you, you're not gonna be waiting very, very fucking long,” the vocalist revealed. “Goddammit, I promise you, you will have new fucking Slipknot music very fucking soon.”

Fingers crossed, then, that means fans going to this newly-announced tour will get lots of setlist surprises…

Slipknot have extended their ongoing “Knotfest Roadshow” tour with a newly announced Fall 2022 US leg.

The brief jaunt will hit mostly Midwest and Southwest locales, kicking off on September 20th in Nashville, and wrapping up October 7th in Irvine, California. Ice Nine Kills and Crown the Empire will provide support.

The ticket presale begins tomorrow (June 14th) for Knotfest premium members, with sign-ups running through Thursday (June 16th). General on-sale begins Friday (June 17th) at 10 a.m. local time. Pickup tickets via Ticketmaster .

The Knotfest Roadshow is currently on the tail end of the second of two Spring legs. Slipknot and company are set to play Seattle tonight (June 13th) and three more dates through a final concert in Chula Vista, California, on Saturday (June 18th).

We caught the recent leg on its stop at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn — Slipknot’s first show in the New York City in 13 years. As our writer described, “the feeling of love and camaraderie was palpable” between Slipknot and the legion of dedicated New Yorkers who came out. Cypress Hill and Ho99o9 rounded out a stacked bill.

Slipknot have added new dates to their “Knotfest Roadshow” tour

Corey Taylor and Slipknot will continue their “Knotfest Roadshow” tour with a fresh leg of the tour in the U.S. this fall. The short trek will take the masked metal band through the Midwest and Southwest, setting off on Sept. 20 in Nashville, Tennessee, and closing out Oct. 7 in Irvine, California. Ice Nine Kills and Crown the Empire will open.

Tickets for the new Knotfest dates go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. local venue time on Friday (June 17). Pre-sales start Tuesday (June 14) for Knotfest premium members.

The Knotfest Roadshow is currently wrapping up the second of two spring tour legs, with the final show wrapping up on Saturday (June 18) in Chula Vista, California. In addition to the tour, Slipknot will also serve as one of the headliners the Louder Than Life and Aftershock festivals. Meanwhile, Taylor has teased a new album from Slipknot on the way, but no word yet on when the new tunes might drop. The upcoming set will mark the band’s follow-up to 2019’s “We Are Not Your Kind.” Meanwhile, Taylor is currently on hiatus from his other band, Stone Sour, although they’re expected to get back together at some point to start working on new music.

The dark caravan of chaos continues this fall with the third leg of the Knotfest Roadshow, featuring a headline set from the masked heroes of heavy metal Slipknot, along with the heavy metal band, Ice Nine Kills, and the metalcore band Crown the Empire, all taking the stage at USANA Amphitheater on Tuesday, October 4th 2022. This is what Rocktober was named for, this is how you salute the summer and send it off to a good death in the fall, grab your tickets here and come out and Rock!

Knotfest is the music and counterculture experience created by the multi-platinum sonic phenomenon Slipknot. The annual roadshow travels the length and breadth of the US, with the 2022 iteration beginning in March, and featuring, In This Moment, and, Jinjer, who were replaced by Wage War, while the second leg hosted Cypress Hill and Ho99o9. Now, a new third leg has been added beginning in September. Last November, Slipknot released the song, “The Chapeltown Rag,” marking their first new music since 2019, when they dropped their most recent album, We Are Not Your Kind. The band have frequently teased the new album during the Roadshow and as it is set to drop sometime over the summer, this third leg is likely to feature that new album quite heavily.

Self genre and Horror-flick inspired “Theatrecore” band, Ice Nine Kills, are from Boston, Massachusetts. The band released their biggest commercially successful album in October 2021, The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood, album where each song reference a different horror film. It peaked at number 18 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Hard Rock Albums chart, Blabbermouth.net described the album as "decadent, devious, and fiercely insane, with sardonic wit to spare."

Metalcore band, Crown the Empire, come from Dallas, Texas and recently paid tribute to the lone star state with the release of their first compilation album, 07102010, commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the band's first show at Compass Church in Colleyville, Texas. The band released their latest and fourth studio album, Sudden Sky, in July 2019 charting at number 15 on the Top Alternative Albums and number 13 on the Top Hard Rock Albums charts.

Slipknot have extended their ongoing “Knotfest Roadshow” tour with a newly announced Fall 2022 US leg, hitting the road, rolling, in late September, the traveling carnival initially started off in March and featured, In This Moment, and, Jinjer, while the second leg hosted Cypress Hill and Ho99o9. Slipknot have stayed busy on the road this year, however, they’ve been relatively quiet on the studio front. Last November, the group released a new song, “The Chapeltown Rag,” which marked their first bit of music since 2019, when they dropped their most recent album, We Are Not Your Kind.

From Boston, Massachusetts, horror-inspired, Ice Nine Kills formed in 2000 and developed into what they term as “Theatrecore” eventually releasing their sixth studio album, The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood, in October 2021. Peaking at number 18 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Hard Rock Albums chart, it has become the band's biggest commercial success.

Hot on the heels of the massive second leg of Knotfest Roadshow 2022 tour , Slipknot has announced that they will be hitting the road for their fall tour, this time with horror-themed metal maestros Ice Nine Kills and metalcore titans, Crown The Empire. Produced by Live Nation, the run will kick off on September 20th in Nashville and hit an additional nine cities before culminating in Irvine, CA on October 7th.

Presales begin on Tuesday, June 14th with general ticketing on sale Friday, June 17th at 10 am local time via Ticketmaster .

2021 marked a banner year for Slipknot. Making a triumphant return to the road, their Knotfest Roadshow 2021 tour sold out amphitheaters across the country, bookended with the record-breaking Knotfest Iowa and the biggest headline show of their career, Knotfest Los Angeles at Banc of California Stadium where they debuted their first new music in two years – the furious “The Chapeltown Rag” taken from the highly anticipated new Slipknot album, expected to release this year. In addition, they topped the bills of multiple, internationally renowned festivals including Riot Fest, Rocklahoma, Inkcarceration, Welcome To Rockville, and more.

Keeping this jaw-dropping momentum going into 2022, Slipknot are set to wrap on their spring run of Knotfest Roadshow 2022 tour this week. SLIPKNOT announce "ONE NIGHT ONLY" show at tiny California club

Last week,  Slipknot  began teasing  a "ONE NIGHT ONLY" event that was being cryptically advertised on a billboard in the middle of the desert. Today (April 23rd), we know what the event will entail. 

On their website, youcantkillme.com , the Iowa Nine have announced that they're playing a show at a 350-capacity venue called Pappy + Harriett's in Pioneertown, California — and it's happening this coming Thursday (April 25th)!!! 

According to the Knot's website, tickets are just $9 per person and are limited to two per person, so naturally these will sell out extremely fast. Tickets go on sale today at 3 p.m. EST (12 p.m. PST) and you can try and get yours here .

Slipknot will be donating all of the show's proceeds to the Joshua Tree No Kill Shelter and BOYS & GIRLS CLUB of the Hi Desert. 

Notably, this will be Slipknot's first show of 2024, as it's going down a couple days before they headline Sick New World fest on Saturday (April 27th). It's also the 'Knot's first show with their mysterious new drummer, who replaced Jay Weinberg after his departure from the band last November.

It goes without saying that this show will be fucking bonkers, and given that it's falling on the 25th anniversary of their self-titled album, we wouldn't be surprised if the band pull out some oldies. Stay tuned.

Slipknot announce enormous 2024 Here Comes The Pain tour, celebrating 25 years of their debut album

The Nine will trek across North America this summer and autumn, joined by Knocked Loose, Orbit Culture and Vended

Slipknot have announced an extensive tour of North America to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album .

The Iowa nu metal nine-piece will play multiple headline shows and festivals across the US and Canada from August to September, with support coming from metalcore stars Knocked Loose, melodeath favourites Orbit Culture and nu metal up-and-comers Vended.

Tickets to the concerts will be made available via an exclusive Knotfest presale today (April 30) at 12pm ET.

General sale will begin on Friday (May 3) at 10am local time.

Slipknot announced their first US Slipknot celebration show yesterday (April 29), when they revealed they will headline Knotfest Iowa in September.

The bill for the one-day festival, held in The Nine’s hometown of Des Moines, also includes Knocked Loose and Vended, as well as Hatebreed, Poison The Well, Gwar and more.

The North American tour will precede Slipknot’s tour of UK and Europe in December .

Percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan has previously stated that Slipknot will be played live in full during the European shows.

Whether the album will be played in its entirety on the newly announced North American run hasn’t been confirmed.

Here Comes The Pain will mark Slipknot’s first fully fledged tour with new drummer Eloy Casagrande, whom the band officially unveiled as their drummer this morning (April 30).

Casagrande left Brazilian metal veterans Sepultura to join Slipknot in February, replacing Jay Weinberg following his dismissal last November .

Slipknot Announce Here Comes the Pain Summer Tour

Slipknot unveiled on Tuesday that they are heading on tour this summer for their Here Comes the Pain Tour to mark the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album. The news comes on the heels of the band’s announcement yesterday, April 29, that they will return to their hometown of Des Moines, Iowa to headline Knotfest 2024 .

The tour will see the group stop in North American cities such as Columbus, Baltimore, New York, Austin, Los Angeles, and Austin. They then head overseas for a slate of dates in Europe and the U.K. The group will bring Knocked Loose on the road for the entirety of the tour. Orbit Culture and Vended will join for select dates.

“Just get ready to have your face kicked in. Because we just do what we do, spread that maggot culture – that disease,” Crahan added. “And you’ve been infected.”

Tickets go on sale for the general public on May 3 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can expect the group to deliver many of their earliest hits, which helped the group break through to a wider audience.

“We loved what we did with the first record but we didn’t even know if there was gonna be anything after that,” guitarist Jim Root said. “We just wanted people to hear it. Selling out of records and shows, having successful tours — those are goals for any band. But the dream scenario in some ways, came true for us.”
