What are Sabrina Carpenter's 'Espresso' lyrics about? All about the steamy song

Sabrina Carpenter performs at the Coachella Stage during the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at Empire Polo Club on April 19, 2024 in Indio, California.

Sabrina Carpenter has given us all a shot of espresso — in song form.

"Espresso" is on track to becoming one of Carpenter's most popular songs to date — and has undeniable song of the summer potential. According to Billboard , the tune debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and quickly became Carpenter’s highest-charting single on that chart to date.

On TikTok, singer Becky G shared a video of her voicing one of the oft-memed lyrics.

"I love that this is becoming a trend for all the pop girlies," one person commented on the video.

What does 'Espresso' mean?

The lyrics tell a story of a love as energizing and lightly addictive as caffeine. It's the kind of spark that might keep you up at night ... like, well, espresso.

The song is peppered with instances of light-hearted humor and coffee puns. She sings, “Now he’s thinkin’ ‘bout me every night, oh / Is it that sweet? I guess so / Say you can’t sleep, baby, I know / That’s that me espresso.”

One line, in particular, has become a meme: “I’m working late ‘cause I’m a singer," for its catchiness and specificity. People are pairing it with pop culture moments online, like this one from "La La Land."

Carpenter explained what "Espresso" means in a Vogue interview. Essentially, the lyrics are sung from the point of view of a woman confident in herself ... and her seductive abilities.

"The song is kind of about seeing femininity as your super power, and embracing the confidence of being that b----," she said.

Carpenter chose a summer vibe for the music video, which is filled with people dancing on the beach.

“Since the day I heard the song, I saw a beach atmosphere — and more specifically this kind of old school (and) modern environment,” she said. “(I wanted to capture) the playfulness that I like to use throughout all of my videos. I also just wanted a pool car, to be frank.”

Read the lyrics to 'Expresso'

Now he’s thinkin’ ‘bout me every night, oh

Is it that sweet? I guess so

Say you can’t sleep, baby, I know

That’s that me, espresso

Move it up, down, left, right, oh

Switch it up like Nintendo

I can’t relate to desperation

My ‘give a fucks’ are on vacation

And I got this one boy

And he won’t stop calling

When they act this way

I know I got ‘em

Too bad your ex don’t do it for ya

Walked in and dream came trued it for ya

Soft skin and I perfumed it for ya

I know I Mountain Dew it for ya

That morning coffee, brewed it for ya

One touch and I brand newed it for ya

(Post Chorus)

I’m working late ‘cause I’m a singer

Oh, he looks so cute wrapped around my finger

My twisted humor, make him laugh so often

My honey bee, come and get this pollen

He’s thinkin’ ‘bout me every night, oh

Yes, Blake Shelton Sings The New The Fall Guy Theme Song - Everything to Know (LISTEN)

Find out how Blake Shelton came to cover  The   Fall Guy  theme song, “The Unknown Stuntman,” in the new film.

songs with journey in the lyrics

If you grew up in the '80s, then you lived in the heyday of action drama television shows. From the The A-Team  and  Knight Rider to  The Greatest American Hero  and The Fall Guy , all of them were based around a "case of the week" that leaned heavily on car chases, shootouts , and plenty of main character fisticuffs. Just about all of them also featured great theme songs with memorable melodies and lyrics that encapsulated the spirit of the show in just a few bars.

In The Fall Guy , Universal Picture's upcoming big screen revival of the classic series (out exclusively in theaters on May 3), the show's theme song also gets a glow up with country music superstar and The Voice alumni   Blake Shelton  providing his cover version of the song.

Does Blake Shelton Sing The Fall Guy Theme Song?

Yes, that is country legend Blake Shelton singing the updated version of The Fall Guy 's iconic theme song, "The Unknown Stuntman."

The new  The Fall Guy movie isn't following in the original show's footsteps by having incredibly talented crooner and lead actor Ryan Gosling ( Barbie ) sing "The Unknown Stuntman." Rather, self-proclaimed fan of the TV series and authentic country crooner Blake Shelton has taken the reins of the theme song that plays over the film's final credits.

Director David Leitch told NBC Insider during the recent The Fall Guy press tour that the connection of artist and song came via the friendship between President of Music and Publishing at NBCUniversal Mike Knobloch and long-time  The Voice  judge, Shelton.

"Mike Knobloch is close to Blake, and Blake had sort of hinted like, 'Hey, if they want someone to redo the song...,' and we're like, 'Are you kidding, Blake ? Yes, please!'" Leitch revealed of how the interest was passed along to the filmmakers. "We leaned in and reached right back out and said, 'Let's redo it!' It's really exciting that he was a fan and that he came on board to update that classic."

What's the origin of The Fall Guy theme song, "The Unknown Stuntman"?

Lee Majors takes Judith Chapman out of a car on the fall guy

The Fall Guy series ran for five seasons and was one of those rare shows that boasted its leading man as the singer of its theme song too. Actor Lee Majors did double duty for the series playing Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as bounty hunter, and serving as the country crooner of the theme song, "The Unknown Stuntman."

RELATED:  Is The Fall Guy Based on a TV Show? What to Know About the Original Fall Guy

While Majors does a pretty good job warbling the "autobiographical" lyrics of "The Unknown Stuntman," the singing gig was a one-off for the actor. Unlike other performers who straddled acting and the music world, Majors wasn't a professional singer. However, he was coerced into singing the theme song because the lyrics were from the perspective of Seavers, who sings about the thankless job of being a high profile stuntman doing all the dirty work but getting none of the rewards of the big name actors whom he doubles.

Spotify wants you to pay for song lyrics.

Spotify Premium is now required to view song lyrics past a certain limit.

Free Spotify accounts can’t play songs in any order, download music for offline play, or get the highest audio quality. There’s now another feature being removed: the ability to view song lyrics.

A new warning has started appearing for some free Spotify users, explaining that there is a monthly limit on how many times you can view lyrics for a given song. After you reach that limit, you can’t view the lyrics for more songs unless you sign up for Spotify Premium .

Spotify was testing a similar change as early as September 2023, but now it seems to be rolling out more widely. The company declined to explain the change to TechCrunch , only saying that Spotify’s features can vary over time depending on the region and device. Presumably, Spotify is preparing to roll the change out to all free accounts, but for now it’s still only affecting a subset of users.

It's a bit bizarre to lock song lyrics behind a paywall, considering most other audio platforms with free tiers offer lyrics, including YouTube Music. The text is also usually available on third-party websites like Genius or apps like Shazam. Spotify does synchronize the lyrics to the music for some tracks, like a karaoke video, but that feature is not available on all songs.

Spotify seems to be hoping access to lyrics could push more people to Spotify Premium, but it’s not clear if that will work out. The company’s Q1 2024 earnings report revealed Spotify now has 615 million monthly active users (MAUs), but only 239 million paid subscribers. In other words, less than half of Spotify’s userbase has Spotify Premium. The price for Spotify Premium also went up in the United States and other countries in 2023, and Spotify is planning another price increase .

Spotify laid off 17% of its staff in December, after two more rounds of layoffs earlier that year, also in an effort to boost profits. The company then reported record profits in Q1 2024, and in the Q1 earnings call, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said the job cuts “did disrupt our day-to-day operations more than we anticipated.”

Here Are the Lyrics to Shaboozey, ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ [Listen]

Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" presents like a carefree drinking song, but the lyrics tell a more serious story that country fans know very well.

"Tipsy" (as it's often called) opens with acoustic guitar and hand claps and builds into a folk release a la the Avett Brothers or Mumford & Sons .

" Someone pour me up a double shot of whiskey / They know me and Jack Daniels got a history," he sings to open the chorus.

  • On April 29, Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
  • It was released just two weeks prior.
  • Fans of Beyonce may recognize him from two collaborations from her Cowboy Carter album, but he's been making music since at least 2017.

This new song borrows from "Tipsy" by J-Kwon to the point that the writers of the 2004 hip-hop track (Jerrel Jones, Joe Kent and Mark Williams) are listed as co-writers of Shaboozey's hit song (co-written with Nevin Sastry and Sean Cook).

Specifically, the hook "Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy" is similar to J-Kwon's "Everybody in this b---h gettin' tipsy." Also, both artists use a variation of "Here comes the two to the three to the four."

Sonically, the songs are very different — J-Kwon peaked on U.S. and U.K. rap and hip-hop charts, while Shaboozey just went to No. 1 on a country music chart.

Additionally, Shaboozey's "A Party Song" tells the story of a man using alcohol to blow off steam. "This 9 to 5 ain't workin', why the hell do I work so hard," he sings after an opening lyric that frets over groceries and gasoline as his lover shops for a Birkin bag (ranging from $12K to $400K). Find the full lyrics below.

The blue-collar theme doesn't last far into the song. In fact, by the chart-topping hit's chorus, fans will be focused on the party happening downtown near Fifth St. (a nod to Lower Broadway and 5th, perhaps?).

There's one more lyric to Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" that points to where he came from.

Who Is Shaboozey?

"I've been Boozey since I've left, I ain't changin' for a check," he sings to open the second verse.

Shaboozey is Chibueze Collins Obinna, a 28-year-old Virginia native born to Nigerian parents. His name was derived from frequent mispronunciations of his real name, and "A Party Song (Tipsy)" is hardly his first hit.

Earlier this year, Shaboozey paired with Beyonce for two songs on her Co wboy Carter album *("Spaghetti" and "Sweet / Honey / Bucklin'"), but his career goes back to 2017, when he signed with Republic Records and released a song called "Jeff Gordon."

The singer, songwriter and rapper is a multi-genre talent that's not yet let a single style define him. He tells Colors X Studios that his earliest influences include the Rolling Stones , Grateful Dead and Led Zeppelin , but later he discovered songs and music videos by artists like Ja Rule.

More Songs by Shaboozey?

"Jeff Gordon" was Shaboozey's first hit, but a song called "Starfoxx" also helped him nab a recording contract. From there, he was part of a song called "Start a Riot" from the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack.

Lady Wrangler was his first album, but in 2022 he dropped Cowboys Live Forever, Outlaws Never Die. Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going is slated for May 2024. It features songs like "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," "Anabelle," "Let It Burn" and a personal song called " Vegas " that he said is about getting his heart broken.

Here Are the Lyrics to Shaboozey, "A Bar Song (Tipsy)":

My baby want a Birkin, she's been tellin' me all night long / Gasoline and groceries, the list goes on and on / This 9 to 5 ain't workin', why the hell do I work so hard / I can't worry 'bout my problems, I can't take 'em when I'm gone.

Pre-Chorus: One, here comes the two to the three to the four / Tell 'em bring another out, we need plenty more / Two-steppin' on the table, she don't need a dance floor / Oh my, good Lord.

Chorus: Someone pour me up a double shot of whiskey / They know me and Jack Daniels got a history / There's a party downtown near Fifth Street / Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy / Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy / Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy.

I've been Boozey since I've left, I ain't changin' for a check / Tell my ma I ain't forget, oh Lord / Woke up drunk at 10AM, we gonna do this s—t again / Tell your girl to bring a friend, oh Lord.

Repeat Pre-Chorus

Repeat Chorus

One, here comes the two to the three to the four / When it's last call and they kick us out the door / It's gettin' kind of late but the ladies want some more / Oh my, good Lord.

Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy / Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy / Everybody at the bar gettin' tipsy / F—k, I messed up bro, they kicked me out the bar.

Kendrick Lamar doubles down with fiery Drake diss: Listen to '6:16 in LA'

songs with journey in the lyrics

Kendrick Lamar has taken a page from Drake 's playbook and released back-to-back diss tracks against the Canadian rapper.

Following a surprise drop of his brutal " Euphoria " track on Tuesday, the Compton, California, native released " 6:16 in LA " on his Instagram Friday morning. The song title is a reference to a song format Drake is known for popularizing, including "6PM in New York" from "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" to "8am in Charlotte" from his recent album, "For All the Dogs."

"It's survival," Lamar opens the track. "I think somebody lying. Smell somebody lying."

Art for the 3-minute and 44-second track includes a photo of a black Maybach glove. Rick Ross , who entered the convoluted rap beef last week with "Champagne Moments," is a founder of the rap label Maybach Music Group.

"Who am I if I don't go to war?" he raps, later adding that messing "with good people make good people go to bat."

Lamar takes a shot at Drake's label and team, rapping, "Have you ever thought OVO is working for me?" before calling Drake a "fake bully."

He continues: "I hate bullies / You must be a terrible person / Everyone inside your team whispering that you deserve it."

Lamar then says he was having "fun" with the tit-for-tat until Drake put "money in the streets" for dirt against the "Like That" rapper . But Lamar claims Drake "lost money 'cause they came back with no receipts."

"I'm sorry that I live a boring life / I love peace / But war ready if the world is ready to see you bleed," he says.

Lamar continues the offensive on OVO. "If you were street smart you would've caught that your entourage is only to hustle you," he raps, claiming Drake has 100 people on salary, and "20 of them want you as a casualty."

The Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper then ends the track with reference to Michael Jackson 's hit "You Are Not Alone": "It's time that you look around on who's around you / Before you figure that you're not alone, ask what Mike would do."

Both Drake and Lamar have referenced Jackson in their music, with Drake saying he's "one hit" away from Jackson's record of 13 hits on Billboard's Hot 100 on his October track "First Person Shooter." Drake has since tied with Jackson with that very song. Drake has also sampled the late singer's vocals for the 2018 track "Don't Matter to Me" from an unreleased 1980 studio session.

Lamar followed up on Future and Metro Boomin 's "Like That," rapping: "Prince outlived Mike Jack.'"

Kendrick Lamar's back-to-back disses '6:16 in LA,' 'Euphoria' follow Drake disses

In "Euphoria," Lamar complimented Drake's track " Back To Back " saying he "liked that record." The 2015 single was a diss track aimed at rapper Meek Mill , and was Drake's follow-up to his first diss, "Charged Up."

Now, Lamar has released a back-to-back of his own. On "Euphoria," Lamar called Drake a "scam artist," took shots at his relationship with his son and invoked the Toronto-born rapper's feud with Pusha T .

He continued: "How many more fairytale stories about your life 'til we've had enough? How many more Black features 'til you finally feel that you're Black enough?"

Drake, who is biracial, was previously called out by  Pusha T  in a similarly vicious feud for a photo featuring him in blackface. After Pusha T used the picture as the cover for his diss track "The Story of Adidon," Drake said the blackface photo was from 2007 when he was working on a "project that was about young black actors struggling to get roles, being stereotyped and type cast." Pusha T also revealed Drake had a child, unbeknownst to the public at the time.

"Euphoria" and "6:16 in LA" follow Drake's diss tracks "Push Ups" and "Taylor Made Freestyle." "Taylor Made Freestyle"  was later  pulled from streaming services after Tupac Shakur's estate threatened to sue over the use of a AI voice imitation. "The unauthorized, equally dismaying use of Tupac's voice against Kendrick Lamar, a good friend to the Estate who has given nothing but respect to Tupac and his legacy publicly and privately, compounds the insult," a cease-and-desist from the estate  obtained by USA TODAY  said.

Spotify quietly moves lyrics behind a paywall

songs with journey in the lyrics

Spotify has apparently found a new way to push its free users to a paid subscription: It’s putting lyrics behind a paywall. Following various reports citing frustrated posts from users on Reddit, the company is quietly confirming the change — but without a direct statement. Instead, the company told TechCrunch simply that Spotify’s features can vary over time, between markets and across devices. The response indicates the change to lyrics may be more than just a test but that Spotify isn’t yet prepared to make an official announcement about affected markets.

There were some indications that Spotify was heading in this direction, however. Last fall, the company was spotted locking down lyrics for nonpaying users. Free users who tried to access the feature would see a message that read, “Enjoy lyrics on Spotify Premium.”

However, at that time, a Spotify spokesperson clarified that the changes were “only a test” that was taking place with a limited number of users in a “pair of markets.” Spotify is no longer referring to the changes as a test, though it’s unclear why it wouldn’t document access to lyrics as being a premium feature somewhere on its website — like on the page where users can upgrade plans or within its help documentation. That could be because the company is still testing the monthly limit on lyrics for free accounts; free users report seeing messages that tell them that every time they tap “Show lyrics,” it counts toward the new limit.

Spotify is now adding monthly limit on lyrics for free accounts pic.twitter.com/mrVufudltK — Dexerto (@Dexerto) May 1, 2024

Spotify didn’t offer any more detail about why it’s now paywalling lyrics, but clearly it’s a bid to push more people to its paid tier. In its most recent quarter, the company reached more than 600 million monthly active users, ahead of estimates, and paid subscribers were up to 236 million+, representing 15% year-over-year growth. However, quarterly revenue had missed analyst expectations of 3.72 billion euros, coming in at 3.67 billion ($3.94 billion) instead.

Whether blocking lyrics will push more people to subscribe remains to be seen. Lyrics are easily available and free via the web and in other apps that work alongside Spotify, like Genius, Apple’s Shazam or Musixmatch, for example.

'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' Lyrics: Shaboozey's Song Achieves Success & J-Kwon Shares Thoughts!

Shaboozey is a newcomer who is acheiving major success on the country music charts with his new song “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

The 28-year-old singer just hit #1 on the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart. He and Beyonce made history as the first two black artists to lead the chart with back-to-back #1 songs.

Shaboozey actually joined Beyonce on her Cowboy Carter tracks “Spaghetti” and “Sweet Honey Buckiin.”

In the chorus of his new song, Shaboozey sings, “Someone pour me up a double shot of whiskey (A double shot of whiskey) / They know me and Jack Daniel’s got a history (We go way back) / There’s a party downtown, near 5th Street / Everybody at the bar gettin’ tipsy (Woo).”

If you didn’t know, Shaboozey ‘s new single interpolates J-Kwon ‘s hit song “Tipsy” and the rapper is sharing his thoughts on the song.

Keep reading to find out more…

“It really ain’t even paying homage; I got a crazy percentage… Let’s say it like this, we did that together, and I’m proud of him,” J-Kwon told Billboard .

J-Kwon ‘s manager added, “We were compensated. Basically for the song, we do have credit and a deal was worked out in both parties’ favor. Respect the artist and his craft. We license it to somebody and the original artist has to be compensated. As far as the clearance process, artists have to clear their record. They didn’t want to clear Kanye’s ‘Through the Wire.’ Shaboozey has [J-Kwon’s] blessing and the label has his blessing.”

Drake And Kendrick Lamar Feud Timeline: Lamar Drops Second Diss Track, ‘6:16 In LA’

Kendrick Lamar doubled down on his feud with Drake on Friday morning by dropping a second diss track, “6:16 in LA,” just three days after releasing the diss “Euphoria” and the latest development in their long-running beef that has rapidly escalated and grown to include other rappers over the past several weeks.

Oct. 6, 2023 Drake and J. Cole released collaboration “ First Person Shooter ,” in which J. Cole raps that himself, Drake and Lamar are the “big three” of rap.

March 22, 2024 Lamar responded on his verse on Metro Boomin and Future’s song “Like That,” slamming the rappers for “sneak dissing” and rejecting their idea of the “big three,” instead rapping: “It’s just big me.”

April 5, 2024 J. Cole dropped his own Lamar diss track, “ 7 Minute Drill ,” in which he fired “warning shots” at the rapper, accusing him of seeking “attention” and slamming his latest music releases as “tragic.”

April 7, 2024 Just two days after releasing “7 Minute Drill,” J. Cole backed down from the feud, stating he felt pressured to respond because “the world wanna see blood.”

April 13, 2024 Drake’s response to Lamar, “Push Ups,” leaked online (before its April 19 release), with lyrics slamming Lamar’s shorter stature and his mainstream collaborations with Taylor Swift and Maroon 5, while also dissing other artists including Rick Ross and The Weeknd.

April 15, 2024 Ross responded to Drake with “ Champagne Moments ,” alleging that Drake had multiple cosmetic procedures done including a nose job and ab surgery, while also accusing him of using ghostwriters (an accusation Drake has repeatedly denied).

April 19, 2024 Drake released another diss track, “ Taylor Made Freestyle ,” using AI-generated voices of Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur to diss Lamar, daring him to respond: “We waitin' on you,” Drake rapped.

April 21, 2024 Kanye West jumped into the beef on a remix of “ Like That ,” taking shots at Drake’s music and his deal with Universal Music Group, stating he and his collaborators are “ energized ” for the “elimination of Drake.”

April 30, 2024 Lamar dropped “ Euphoria ,” a six-minute long diss track in which he lambasts Drake’s biracial identity (suggesting he shouldn’t be able to say the n-word), slams the rapper’s ability as a father and calls Drake a “scam artist,” questioning his authenticity as a rapper.

May 1, 2024 Drake seemingly responded to Lamar’s diss by posting a clip from the 1999 film “10 Things I Hate About You” on his Instagram story in which Julia Stiles’ character Kat lists all the reasons she hates Heath Ledger’s character Patrick—possibly mirroring a part of “ Euphoria ” where Lamar lists reasons he hates Drake.

May 2, 2024 “Euphoria” jumped from No. 19 to No. 1 on the daily U.S. Spotify chart , while Drake’s “Push Ups” rose from No. 15 to No. 11, marking a big increase in streams for both rappers—Drake ranks No. 2 on the Spotify artists daily chart , while Lamar rose from No. 9 to No. 3, both behind Taylor Swift.

May 3, 2024 Lamar dropped a second Drake diss track , “ 6:16 in LA ”—likely a play on a format Drake has often used for song titles, including his “8am in Charlotte” and “5am in Toronto”—in which Lamar alleges Drake’s own team is against him, rapping that “everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it,” and stating Drake “can't ‘Toosie Slide’ up out of this one,” a reference to his 2020 song.

What To Watch For

Whether Drake will respond to Lamar’s “Euphoria” in a new diss track. Drake hinted on his previous diss tracks that the feud is only just beginning. “The first one really only took me an hour or two/ The next one is really 'bout to bring out the coward in you,” Drake rapped on “ Taylor Made Freestyle ,” possibly a nod to future diss tracks. He also rapped on “ Push Ups ” that he’s just “heating up.”

Surprising Fact

Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle” is no longer available to stream after Tupac Shakur’s estate threatened legal action for the AI-generated use of his voice. Drake posted the song to his X and Instagram accounts on April 19, but deleted them a week later.

Key Background

Drake and Lamar’s beef spans more than the past decade. The two once had a seemingly friendly relationship, collaborating multiple times between 2011 and 2012. But in 2013, their relationship appeared to change after Lamar featured on Big Sean’s song, “ Control ,” in which he called out Drake and many other rappers, including Pusha T, Mac Miller and A$AP Rocky. “I got love for you all, but I'm tryna murder you,” Lamar rapped, adding he’s “tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you.” Fans have since theorized that the two have taken subtle shots at each other in their raps throughout the years. Some interpreted Lamar’s shots at artists who use ghostwriters in his 2015 song “ King Kunta ” could be a dig at Drake. Fans and observers of Lamar and Drake’s beef have interpreted the feud to be over who could be considered the greatest rapper of today—though a Rolling Stone analysis of their feud noted the two have different strengths and different claims to the title of “greatest” rapper. Lamar has long been known for his critically acclaimed work, including 17 Grammy Award wins and a Pulitzer Prize for his 2017 album, “DAMN.” Drake, meanwhile, is commercially dominant: He was the most-streamed artist of the 2010s on Spotify, and he has the most certified digital singles of any artist, according to the Recording Industry Association of America .

Drake, Lamar and other artists involved in the feud have found recent success on the charts, possibly thanks to the publicity offered by the feud. “Like That” has dominated the Billboard Hot 100 since release—it topped the chart for three consecutive weeks (though it fell to No. 17 this week, behind 14 tracks from Taylor Swift’s new album “The Tortured Poets Department”). “7 Minute Drill” debuted at No. 6 on the Hot 100 after its release, while “Push Ups” debuted at No. 19 this week (the fifth-highest non-Swift song). Lamar’s “ Euphoria ” is the No. 1 trending video on YouTube one day after release with 8 million views. Drake rose from No. 18 to No. 3 on this week’s Billboard Artist 100 , which measures the most popular artists in a given week based on sales, streaming and radio airplay numbers.
