It was a sensational record that Taylor Swift achieved at the end of October 2022 in the 64-year history of the Billboard Hot 100, when she took all the places from 1 to 10. Ten songs in the Top 10? No one had ever done that before her. It came as little surprise that her newly released album "Midnight" also reached the top position in the album charts at the same time. And the fact that she surpassed Madonna (38) as the most successful top ten artist with a total of 40 hits was another record.

She also achieved a personal premiere in Germany in 2022, when her tenth studio album reached No. 1 in the German longplayer ranking for the first time. Another debut will come in the summer of 2024: for the first time in her career, Taylor Swift, who would be named "Woman of the Decade" by Billboard Women in Music in 2019, will play in Munich. After having to cancel her concert in the Olympic Hall, once scheduled for March 2011, due to scheduling conflicts, she will now come under the tent roof for a double open air - at two performances on 27 and 28 July. Taylor Swift announced 2024 international dates for her Eras Tour Tuesday, beginning with a Feb. 7-10 run of four shows at the Tokyo Dome and running through Aug. 16-17 gigs at Wembley Stadium in London.

Besides the U.K. and Japan, countries on the agenda for next year include France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Australia, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Altogether, it was 38 overseas dates that Swift announced in Tuesday’s major rollout.

Swift did not reveal who would be opening all the shows, but did say Sabrina Carpenter would be kicking the concerts off in eight asterisked cities that have been freshly added to the itinerary. Carpenter’s run on the tour stretches from Feb. 16 in Melbourne, Australia through March 4 in Singapore, with openers for the other stretches of the tour presumably to be announced in the coming months.

This wide expansion outside of the U.S. joins a dozen dates for this fall that Swift recently announced for Mexico, Argentina and Brazil in the Aug. 24-Nov. 26 time frame. Carpenter is opening all of those shows.

As she moves overseas next year, London will get four Wembley shows altogether, in two parts. First, she appears at the stadium for a pair of shows on June 21-22, 2024, before returning to wrap up the tour there Aug. 16-17.

She will be paying plenty of attention to the U.K. besides that, with shows in Edinburgh June 7-8, Liverpool June 14-15 and Cardiff June 18.

Tokyo and London are the only cities on the overseas tour to get four shows apiece — although, as Swifties well know, expansions in any given locale are very much to be expected.

The next closest runners-up with three shows each are Sydney and Singapore.

US superstar Taylor Swift is coming to Germany in summer 2024: The artist has just announced dates for her "The Eras Tour" in Europe.

The European leg of "The Eras Tour" starts on May 9, 2024 in Paris and ends on August 17, 2024 in London. A total of 19 major cities on the European continent are on the tour schedule - including three dates in Germany: on July 18, 2024, Taylor Swift will perform at the VELTINS Arena in Gelsenkirchen , on July 23, 2024, she will be a guest at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg and on July 27, 2024, you can see the exceptional artist live at the Olympic Stadium in Munich.

To ensure that as many fans as possible who would like to see the pop icon live have the opportunity to do so, registration is required before the pre-sale starts.

Registration is now open. For the concerts of "The Eras Tour" in Germany, fans can register exclusively on the Taylor Swift website at TaylorSwift.com/tour until Friday, June 23 at 11:59 pm.

Registered fans will receive an individual code that gives them access to purchase tickets for the respective concerts from the start of pre-sales . This starts for the concerts in Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg and Munich on Wednesday, July 12, at 10 am .

Hospitality tickets for the La Ola Club in the VELTINS-Arena can also be purchased exclusively at tickets.schalke04.de from Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 10 a.m.

Taylor Swift resumes her international leg of 'Eras Tour.' Here's the full list of show dates

Taylor Swift is back on the road for the international leg of her "Eras Tour" journey.

On Feb. 7, Swift took to the stage to do her first show of four at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. This week marks her "Eras Tour" return since she last performed at Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Nov. 26.

Swift will have her last show in Tokyo on Feb. 10 and then will head to Australia, followed by Singapore and a string of European countries. Eventually, the international portion of Swift's tour will end in London, where she will perform five shows at Wembley Stadium between Aug. 15 and Aug. 20.

Last June, Swift announced a total of 50 international dates on social media and on her website .

“EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY,” she penned on Twitter and Instagram June 20. “I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates! Visit TaylorSwift.com/tour for more information on your registrations, pre-sales and on-sales!!”

Swift kicked off her international leg of the tour on Aug. 24 in Mexico City and as of right now, is scheduled to end Aug. 20, 2024, in London before heading to the U.S. and Canada .

Paramore, who is the opening act for Swift’s international shows starting May 9 through the end of August, announced in November that two new London shows taking place on Aug. 19 and Aug. 20, 2024, had been added to the roster.

“A limited number of fans who previously registered for shows in London will be selected for access to the sale and will receive notifications via email starting today,” the band posted in a Nov. 14 message on X , formerly known as Twitter, which has since been deleted.

How to get tickets to international shows on Taylor Swift’s 'Eras Tour'

The “Shake It Off” singer’s fan base infamously crashed Ticketmaster when they overcrowded the system while trying to buy tickets when they went live on Nov. 15, 2022. Since then, the platform has employed a new ticket purchasing process that has kept crashes at bay, so far.

The new purchasing multi-step process first requires pre-registration in order to be eligible for pre-sales and regular sales. However, pre-sales and registration are closed for all current international tour dates.

Fans who are interested in attending an international show can try purchasing tickets on reseller sites such as Stubhub and SeatGeek.

The singer-songwriter will kick off the European portion of her world tour in Paris in May, which will continue throughout the summer. From there, she'll return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tour tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her recent Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift will release her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, so the Swiftie hype will continue this spring.

Getting tickets has become its own battle and many fans have waited hours in the Ticketmaster queue to hopefully snag some seats, if they could get a presale ticket code in the first place. While Swift continues to extend the tour, including new US dates, tickets remain hard to come by.

Taylor Swift international tour dates

The Eras Tour international dates resume on May 9 in Paris. The European tour will run until August 20 in London. UK prices are listed in pounds, and start times vary from city to city. Multiple shows have age restrictions for younger kids and specifics on seating and adult accompaniment. US dates start in October and can be found under the following table. 

Taylor Swift North American tour dates

The Eras tour will return to the US on October 18 in Miami. In addition to the Miami shows, Swift will perform multiple dates in New Orleans and Indianapolis. On November 14, Swift will head to Canada for several shows in Toronto and Vancouver. All North American shows start at 7 p.m. local time.

How to buy tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 tour

Original standard tickets for Taylor Swift's 2024 sold out long ago for both international and domestic dates. All US tickets and many international tickets were sold through Ticketmaster , although select international locations used different services. 

Tickets for most dates are available on resale websites like StubHub and Vivid Seats . These are generally higher-priced than the originals, which are no longer available. Keep in mind that some countries have rules regarding reselling tickets.

On StubHub, UK tour dates come with a note that ticket terms don't permit resale through unauthorized channels and might not be valid for entry. If this ends up being the case, StubHub notes that its FanProtect Guarantee will cover purchasers.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

Ticket prices vary by date and location. International resale tickets tend to be a bit cheaper than US resale tickets. It's worth noting that some of the cheapest tickets have restricted views.

StubHub's cheapest European tickets range from $311 (Madrid, Spain, on May 29) to £916 (London, England on August 19). The latter is around $1,139 in USD. The lowest prices for most shows are around $450 to $1,000. On Vivid Seats , the cheapest tickets for these dates go for $455 and $819, respectively. 

When it comes to North American shows, the cheapest StubHub tickets range from $1,228 (Vancouver, Canada, on December 8) to $2,125 (Indianapolis, Indiana on November 1). Most of the cheapest tickets are priced between $1,200 and $2,000. On Vivid Seats, the cheapest Taylor Swift tickets on these dates start at $1,249 and $1,995, respectively. The two resale vendors generally have similarly priced offerings, but this varies from show to show.

Taylor Swift has a variety of opening acts, from up-and-coming singers to established groups. Opening acts vary by date. For the European leg of the tour, Paramore will open for Swift. In the US and Canada, Gracie Abrams will be the opening act. 

Will Taylor Swift add more dates to the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift has already added additional stops to her tour due to popular demand, including her US tour dates this fall. She also added additional dates to some of her European city stops, including bonus performances in France and the United Kingdom, among other locations. It's unknown whether Swift will end up adding even more tour dates, but by the end of the upcoming US leg she will have been touring for almost two years, so fans shouldn't be surprised if she takes a break. 

Will The Tortured Poets Department be a part of the Eras Tour?

There's no word yet on whether "The Tortured Poets Department" will become its own era on the Eras Tour, or if any songs from the album will be performed during Swift's upcoming concerts. The concert is already about 3 hours and 15 minutes long, so it might be hard to add a full era to the setlist, but the surprise song portion of the show allows for some wiggle room. We'll keep this updated once the album comes out and the tour commences in May and let you know whether any TTPD tunes have made their way into Swift's concerts.

This year, the billionaire will only visit three U.S. cities – Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis – and prices for the in-demand shows are astronomical . For the Oct. 18 show in Miami, for example, cost of a single ticket ranged between $1,615 and $8,524 on StubHub.com as of Wednesday afternoon.

In the past 30 days, searches for ‘Taylor Swift Europe tour 2024 tickets’ have increased by 300% in the U.S., indicating that some people are ready to take a long-haul flight to see the wildly popular artist live, according to travel website Islands.com .

Concert-goers who head to Europe for their Swift experience may actually save more money in the long-run . Not only are ticket prices across the pond cheaper, but many European cities, like Warsaw and Lisbon, are also budget-friendly, offering inexpensive food and lodging.

To determine the most affordable Eras Tour stops, Islands.com researchers compared the cost of a two-night trip, including one cheap ticket on StubHub.com, two nights at a four-star hotel, six inexpensive meals, two five-mile taxi rides, and one domestic beer. However, researchers didn’t account for airline tickets or concert merchandise.

With safety at the top of travelers' minds, the researchers also factored in the city’s safety rating out of 100. 

To stay extra safe, the State Department encourages travelers to register with the U.S. embassy in the country they're visiting any time they travel abroad. That can be done at step.state.gov .

Come for the Torture, Stay for the Poetry: This Might Be Taylor Swift’s Most Personal Album Yet

Poets only want love if it’s torture. And when the poet is Taylor Swift , you always have to figure love and torture are never more than a few verses apart. Taylor became a legend as the poet laureate of teen romance. But that was kid stuff compared to the adult heartbreak of her stunning new album, The Tortured Poets Department . A year after getting out of a six-year relationship, Taylor’s got bad men on the brain. But they’ve always been her specialty. As she notes here, in a poem she includes in the physical edition, “It’s the worst men that I write best.”

Even by Swiftian standards, she gets wildly ambitious with her songwriting here. This is an album that begins with an introductory poem by Stevie Nicks . The title song’s chorus goes, “You’re not Dylan Thomas/I’m not Patti Smith/This ain’t the Chelsea Hotel/We’re modern idiots.” In other words, it’s the small-town teen romance of “White Horse” updated for the big old city. Until you remember that the tortured poet Dylan Thomas famously died at his favorite Greenwich Village bar — which happened to be the White Horse Tavern. That’s the level she’s working on here.

You can hear that it’s an album made in the aftershock of the Eras Tour, which was bigger than even Taylor could have wildest-dreamed. One revelation from the Eras Tour was how epic the Folklore and (especially) Evermore songs sounded, when ringing out loud in a stadium. It sounds as though Swift was shocked at how it felt to play her quietest songs live and hear how gigantic they could be given enough room. So Tortured Poets feels like Swift writing those Folkmore -and-(especially)- Evermore ballads, but giving them that stadium power in the studio.

As for torture — she’s got loads of that. From the sound of Midnights , everybody figured her relationship with Joe Alwyn was a happy little “Sweet Nothing,” except now she portrays it as more like “Tolerate It” with a side order of “Bejeweled.” This is an album nobody saw coming, even though she gave so many signs.

But if you’re stuck on happy endings, why the hell are you listening to a Taylor album? “The Alchemy” is an outlier on an album where her heart goes 1 for 16. “ My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys”and “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)” are witty reports on falling in love with needy men who don’t reciprocate. As the doll sings in “My Boy,” “Pull my string and I’ll tell you that he runs because he loves me.”

Some songs drop hints that dare you to take them as straight-up autobiography. Is she singing about Joe Alwyn here, Lucy Dacus there, Matty Healy everywhere? For many fans, her romance with Healy was already retconned out of their brains, yet she scatters not-necessarily-subtle clues. Like when an ex reminds her of the Eighties U.K. cult band, the Blue Nile: “He sent me ‘Downtown Nights,’ I hadn’t heard it in a while.” (That’s the song Healy basically rewrote for The 1975’s “Love If We Made It.” Do we even need to mention the song is from 1989?) But as she says bluntly in her poem, “He never even scratched the surface of me. None of them did.” 

“Swift wrote two of the nastiest highlights solo, “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys” and“Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”   Aaron Dessner worked on the softer tracks—“So Long, London,” “loml”—while Jack Antonoff provides the big bam boom, as in the synth-disco Vince Clarke homage “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.”   Post Malone sounds great in the single “Fortnight,” just as Florence Welch does in “Florida” (“it’s a hell of a drug”), with its dynamic chorus, “Fuck me up, Florida!” When it comes to a one-line summary of how it feels to be single and jaded in your 30s, you can’t do much better than “My friends all smell like weed or little babies.”

“The Manuscript” is a bonus track, but it’s one of the pivotal songs. (Taylor likes to do it that way—ask any fan of “New Romantics” or “Right Where You Left Me.”) A young woman falls for a charming older man: “He said if the sex was half as good as the conversation, soon they’d be pushing strollers/But soon it was over.” Looking back at it later, she still isn’t clear how she feels about this story.. (“He said since she was so wise beyond her years everything had been aboveboard/She wasn’t sure.”) But it’s her manuscript, and her life to write, just as it’s her name to disgrace. It’s not really a song about a man — it’s about a woman starting to see herself as the author, instead of just a character in her own life.

“The Black Dog” is another crucial bonus ballad, with a classic Nashville-worthy premise: her ex forgot to change his phone settings post-breakup, so she can still track his movements via GPS, and being Taylor, she does. (“You forgot to turn it off”? Yeah right — he’s a guy in a Taylor Swift song, which means he planned it that way.) She sees him walk into a bar called The Black Dog, where he hears one of their songs on the jukebox. (By the pop-punk troopers the Starting Line.). But he’s trying to pick up a girl who’s too young to recognize the tune. 

Stevie Nicks’ introductory poem (only in the physical edition) comes from last summer, dated August 13, with Stevie writing, “For T—and me…” It’s the kind of rock & roll melodrama Stevie knows well: “She looked back from her future/And shed a few tears/He looked into his past/And actually felt fear.” Stevie is a guiding angel all over these songs—so it’s a powerful moment when Taylor slips her into the killer finale “Clara Bow.” It’s an ode to a tragic 1920s movie star, which is definitely Stevie’s kind of thing. (One of her greatest recent songs is her ode to “Mabel Normand.”)

But at the end of the song, the washed-up ingenue listens as her replacement gets a new set of compliments: “You look like Taylor Swift in this light/We’re loving it/You’ve got edge/She never did.” It’s the nightmare of “Nothing New” come true — people forget about yesterday’s ingenue. But this isn’t merely a song about show-biz. It’s about any adult who wonders why — after all these years — she still feels pain or terror when someone else lights up the room.

The Tortured Poets Department has a Reputation edge to it, and like Reputation , it sounds designed to confuse many people who try to decode it before listening. In her “Summary Poem,” Taylor calls it “a debrief, a detailed rewinding/For the purpose of warning/For the sake of reminding.” But anyone can hear that deep in the music. All over these songs, Taylor lives up to her credo that “all’s fair in love and poetry.” But as she shows in The Tortured Poets Department , both can get brutal.

Fletcher on healing, her new album and being back on tour

NPR's Juana Summers speaks with Cari Fletcher, who goes by the stage name FLETCHER, about her newest album "In Search Of The Antidote" and what it's like to be back on tour.

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "TWO THINGS CAN BE TRUE" )

FLETCHER: (Singing) Did we take it too far? Maybe.

JUANA SUMMERS, HOST:

Last spring Carrie Fletcher realized something was wrong - like, more than just the stress of a worldwide concert tour, a deep fatigue that caused long-term concern for her singing voice as well.

FLETCHER: When I had to take the tour down and I saw, you know, applauses get quiet and social media get quiet and then all of the things, you're really forced to, like, look at yourself in the mirror and really decide and see what, you know, your worth is outside of all of those things. Like, there was a lot of silence.

SUMMERS: Turns out it was Lyme disease, and so Carrie, who goes by Fletcher onstage, found herself facing a major physical recovery and a lot of unprocessed mental health to work through. She went back to her hometown in New Jersey, and with all that downtime, she started writing a new album to be called "In Search Of The Antidote."

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "ANTIDOTE")

FLETCHER: (Singing) I get high. I get high. I get low. I get low. You're my dopamine state. You're my sanity dose. I get high.

SUMMERS: A year later, Fletcher is out on the road again, singing this new album to her loyal fans. We caught her earlier this week on a day off in Germany, and she was stoked about being back.

FLETCHER: To return back to a sold-out tour with all of these beautiful fans and, you know, like, scream-singing these songs back to me that - some of which I wrote from such a place of desperation but also a place of, like, hope and happiness and love and excitement for the future and - I pinch myself all the time when I get to a new country that I've never even been to before and they're singing word for word with me. It's like - it's insane that this is my job.

SUMMERS: Is there a favorite moment that you could share from the tour that you're on now that really just drives it home for you?

FLETCHER: People have been bringing crazy signs to the show. I have a song called "Becky's So Hot," and there's a point where I'm, like, grinding on a mic stand. And so the fans started doing this thing where they're like, can I be the human mic stand?

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "BECKY'S SO HOT")

FLETCHER: (Singing) Are you in love like we were? If I were you, I'd probably keep her - makes me want to hit her when I see her 'cause Becky's so hot in your vintage T-shirt.

There was a sign yesterday that said, truth or dare. And I saw it, and I picked dare. And then she folded the card over again, and it was like, I dare you to let me be your mic stand tonight. Somebody came to a concert dressed up as a microphone to the concert, and I was like, the commitment is real.

SUMMERS: I mean, this album - it's got rage and joy and lust and mess, which is something that you have certainly never shied away from mining, like in the lead single, "Eras Of Us," which I have heard is about running into your ex at Taylor Swift's Eras tour - true story?

FLETCHER: Yes. Truth or dare - that is the truth.

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "ERAS OF US")

FLETCHER: (Singing) It's nice to meet you.

Yeah. I had not seen my ex since the day that we had broken up, and we bumped into each other at the Taylor Swift concert. You know, to be at this show where both of us were, like, screaming these songs to an artist that has narrated so many of my breakups, so many of my romances - I just got hit with, you know, a wave of emotion of all of the eras of us, of her and I.

FLETCHER: (Singing) A story of love, stealing the air right from my lungs. Girl of my dreams, forever we're young. Remember it just the way it was, the eras of us.

And I think that's something I always really try to do with my music - is just to drop people into a really specific scene, into a really specific moment. And it's one of my favorite songs I've ever written. It just feels like a story.

SUMMERS: I wonder if you can tell us the story behind one of the songs on the album, "Doing Better," because that song's gotten stuck in my head - this idea of what better really is, why better feels worse.

FLETCHER: Yeah. Wow. I actually have a song on my last album - I have a song called "Better Version," and the lyric ends with, and now some other person's going to get the better version...

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG "BETTER VERSION")

FLETCHER: (Singing) Of me.

...Of me. Just in the last couple months, I was reflecting on, OK, well, what is the better version of me doing? And is she actually doing better? And I wrote a song called "Doing Better" that just really reflects on all the ways of, like, so many of the ways that my career had taken off...

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "DOING BETTER")

FLETCHER: (Singing) I'm doing better. I don't know if you remember when I told you in September that you wouldn't recognize me.

...Getting to do all these, like, incredible, incredible things and perform in all these places. And I felt awful.

FLETCHER: (Singing) I felt like I was flying. I felt the stars aligning. I always thought that if I ever got this high, I'd like it. I'm doing better. I've been looking for my center, but my tummy still hurts. Why does better feel worse?

We're kind of sold this narrative of, like, you know, we should have this amount of success by this amount of age and this type of relationship and this degree and this job. And this idea, this dream of better, you know, that we all have - it doesn't feel good. And it's actually, like, the deeper stuff, the stuff that, like, we don't put on display is, like, where so much of the antidote really is.

(SOUNDBITE OF FLETCHER SONG, "GIRL OF MY DREAMS")

SUMMERS: I don't want to get too messy here on public radio, but I do have to ask you about the ladies. I mean, your songs - people call them queer love anthems and queer anthems. And I'm curious how much you think about where your music fits within the sphere of queer pop music. Is that something that's, like, front of mind for you at all?

FLETCHER: When I first started writing, I was, like, really just embarking on my journey with my sexuality and just, you know, when I started talking about all of it for the first time and just falling in love with a girl for the first time. And I never really set out with a specific mission of, like, oh, I need the music to be categorized as this. It was just like, I just need to be free.

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "GIRL OF MY DREAMS")

FLETCHER: (Singing) I'm on heartbreak No. 4. Tequila doesn't hit no more. I got a new rebound. I'm falling for me now.

When I think about where my music fits in terms of, you know, the scope of music, it's just - it's meant to go to whoever needs to find it. And my queer journey has been so embraced by the community, and I couldn't ask for anything more. But it's also just - you know, it's also so deeply universal, like, this idea of, like, belonging and...

SUMMERS: Right.

FLETCHER: ...Experiencing love for the first time.

SUMMERS: I mean, that's one of the things that strikes me, right? Whether you are dating a woman or married to a man, there's something really beautiful and universal with the way that you describe these intense and heartfelt and, at times, overwhelming feelings when it comes to love and lust and relationships and all of the spectrum in between there. It's something that works for everybody.

FLETCHER: Oh, I love that. Thank you. Yeah. It's - for me, it's always just - I've never wanted to - anyone to feel, like, alienated from the music, from the emotions, from the feelings. Like, I felt alienated for so long as a kid, you know? I just felt so in my own world and lonely and so sad. And to just - to find that sense of home, like, in myself and in my own music...

(SOUNDBITE OF SONG, "PRETENDING")

FLETCHER: (Singing) I say goodnight as if my heart isn't wrenching.

And that's really what it is for me. It's just, like, the feelings are universal. We all navigate it. We all go through it, no matter how you identify, like, orientation-wise, gender, you know, sexuality. It's - we're human.

FLETCHER: Thank you so much. I appreciate you. This was a really sweet conversation.

Taylor Swift Fans Flock to London Pub After Singer Hints It’s Joe Alwyn’s Favorite in New Song

After listening to ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ Swifties are rushing to visit a bar called The Black Dog.

When Taylor Swift speaks, Swifties listen. After the Grammy winner released her brand-new album, The Tortured Poets Department , on April 19, fans immediately began dissecting lyrics and determining what their favorite song was.

One track, however, helped one London pub grow its business exponentially within a matter of days. According to The Black Dog owner and event manager Lily Bottomley , Taylor’s song appropriately titled “The Black Dog” has brought in more than a few new customers.

“We’re just loving it, it’s been so fun,” she told the BBC on April 22. “All of the attention has been pretty overwhelming, but we can’t be happier.” Lily also confirmed that Taylor, 34, had previously come to the pub herself and said the venue was now offering burgers and cocktails inspired by the singer.

In the track “The Black Dog,” Taylor sings about an ex who left his cell phone location settings on after their breakup. While she doesn’t name any individuals specifically, much of her 11th studio album is about exes Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy .

“And so I watch as you walk, into some bar called The Black Dog,” she sings in the first verse. “And pierce new holes in my heart, you forgot to turn it off.”

While Lily isn’t revealing who the famous ex could be, she told Sky News on April 22,  “We do have a certain blond regular who frequents, let’s just say that.”

She also shared her theory as to why fans (and Taylor) may fall in love with her business. “The Black Dog is a beautiful neighborhood pub,” she told the BBC. “It’s really small and really cozy so I can imagine the neighborhood feel, the community, would appeal to her. Obviously, being as famous as she is, [it’s] maybe a nice break. We’ve had [the album] on non-stop on the pub. We’ve had singalongs from fans. It’s been amazing.”

What’s also incredible is the amount of times Taylor has made history thanks to her latest body of work. Not only did The Tortured Poets Department become Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day, but it also became the first album on the platform to amass more than 300 million streams in a single day ever.

Apple Music also shared that The Tortured Poets Department had broken its record for the biggest pop album of all time by first-day streams shortly after the LP’s release.

Next on Taylor’s agenda is resuming her sold-out Eras world tour. She is expected to reunite with opening act Paramore and perform in Paris on May 9 before traveling to Sweden, Germany and other countries.
