Set in a dystopian future, the stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race must choose between the real world and the artificial world they have come to know. The 2023 show delivers an all-new Sci-Fi production specially designed for large venues and arenas.

Werq the World Tour is known for large-scale shows on stages with Jumbo Tron screens, giving performances a concert-style feel as well as ongoing expansions and modifications after every leg of touring. [1] A one-time online fundraising event called Werq The World: Battle Royale aired on May 2, 2020 during the tour's hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [2] [3]

• The tour was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, starting with the postponement of the Spring 2020 European leg of the tour, which was initially set to run from May to June 2020 and was going to feature Detox , Monét X Change , Shea Couleé , and the then new winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK (Season 1) , The Vivienne , in addition to the 2022 lineup. [44]
• During the show's two-year hiatus, a one-time online variation of the show called "Werq The World: Battle Royale" premiered on May 2, 2020 as a fundraiser for local drag entertainers affected by the pandemic, featuring "drag battle" runway challenges and performances with categories chosen by the fans
• The live tour was set to restart in 2021, [45] [46] but was also eventually postponed, before the whole tour was finally rescheduled to Spring 2022 with a new cast of performers. [47] [48] [49] [50]

RuPaul's Drag Race Werq The World has visited 95 cities across 28 countries over 5 continents. Now the largest drag show on the planet jumps from stage to screen for a massive global fundraiser to help displaced local drag entertainers who have lost their source of income due to the COVID-19 shutdown of bars and clubs!

Hosted by Bianca Del Rio from Los Angeles and Lady Bunny from New York with performances by Aquaria, Asia O'Hara, Gigi Goode, Kameron Michaels, Kim Chi, Plastique, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Violet Chachki and Yvie Oddly from across the United States. RuPaul's Drag Race Werq The World Tour will now take place inside The Andrew J Brady Music Center. General Admission ticketholders will be relocated to the General Admission floor inside the venue. General Admission Front ticketholders will be relocated to a General Admission Front area inside the venue.

The Andrew J Brady Music Center is accessible via the Central Riverfront Garage and is within walking distance to several parking lots and the Cincinnati Bell Connector. For Directions and Parking, CLICK HERE .

Standing at Concerts

Standing and Dancing at Concerts: DPAC is proud to welcome all types of concerts to our stage. Sometimes during the course of a concert performance, audience members will show their enthusiasm by standing and dancing, especially when encouraged by the performers to do so. Unless directed by the show, we do not ever enforce a must sit policy at concerts. For most concerts, this would not be acceptable to the performers on stage who often love it when the crowd is moved enough by the performance to stand. This is especially true for rock shows and for seats closest to the stage.

Please know that DPAC does not have a “no standing” policy and in most situations will allow guests to stand even if they block the view of the stage for other guests. If your view is ever blocked by a standing or dancing guest, please contact an usher and we’ll attempt to find alternative seating.

For many concert, comedy, and special events at DPAC, we offer added views of the stage with two big screens (size: 16’ x 9’) hung to the sides of the stage or above the stage. These big screens can add to the visual experience of our concert, comedy, and special events and give guests seated farther from the stage what we like to call “a tenth row view”. Approval to use these screens always rests with the visiting show and about half of all concert and comedy events do use these screens.

69-year-old man charged in death of beloved ‘Star Trek’ tour guide

MILTON, N.Y. (WRGB) – A 69-year-old man is facing manslaughter charges in the case of a missing New York man.

Friends of the victim, identified as Thomas Krider, said he was a beloved character in the “Star Trek” and entertainment community.

Ronald Rayher was arrested and arraigned on charges of manslaughter in the second degree and tampering with physical evidence.

Court documents said Rayher moved and hid personal effects belonging to Krider from the scene after his death.

Police in New York reported Krider missing on April 6.

The 40-year-old victim, also known as T.J. Green, was an employee and tour guide at the “Star Trek” set tour in Ticonderoga.

James Crawley, a friend of the victim, said Krider was also a talented Elvis Presley tribute artist and “he will be remembered for his kind and trusting soul and his warm, friendly demeanor.”

“We are devastated by his loss and will keep him close to our hearts,” Crawley said.

Rayher is being held on a $250,000 bond. He is due back in court on May 21.

What is the cut at the Masters?

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The 36-hole cut at the Masters is different than any other major championship. The 89-man field will be cut to the low 50 and ties after 36 holes is completed.

Thursday’s first round was suspended due to darkness after the start of play was delayed more than two hours by morning storms. The second round is expected to begin on schedule at 8 a.m., however.

The cut was first instituted in 1957, 23 years after the Masters began. The field was cut to the low 40 and ties from 1957-61, but the cut changed the next year with the institution of the 10-shot rule. From 1962-2012, the field was cut to the low 44 and ties, as well as anyone within 10 strokes of the leader.

Over the following seven years, the 36-hole cut was expanded to the low 50 and ties, as well as anyone within 10 strokes of the leader. The 10-shot rule was done away with in 2020, however, and now the low 50 and ties qualify for the final 36 holes at the Masters.

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Goldman family once went on a book tour to promote OJ Simpson’s ‘hypothetical’ account of killing Ron and Nicole: report

T he book tour was possibly the strangest ever launched: A murder victim’s family promoting a work written by the acquitted suspect about how he would have done the killing — you know, if he’d wanted to.

But truth was always stranger than fiction for those captured in OJ Simpson’s dark, shadowy orbit.

And Ron Goldman’s family learned that the hard way 17 years ago, when they traveled to London to push a book that supposedly contained OJ’s version of what happened that fateful night of June 12, 1994, according to The Guardian.

Simpson — whose family announced that he died Wednesday of cancer at the age of 76 — had been banned in 2006 from publishing the eyebrow-raising book, in which he laid out how he — hypothetically — would have murdered ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, 35, and Goldman, 25, in one of the most sensational killings of the last century.

But Goldman’s family won the right to print the bizarre “confession,” which Simpson wrote to earn cash for his two kids by Nicole, The Guardian said.

Public outrage over the plot had torpedoed the book before it could land.

But Goldman’s father, Fred, and his sister, Kim, worried that another publisher would pick up OJ’s account of the gruesome stabbings in Brentwood, California.

So they decided to do something about it, Fred told The Guardian.

“By that stage, we had read the manuscript and realized it wasn’t the ‘how-to’ book that we feared — but a confession,” Kim added.

By that time, the former Buffalo Bills running back had already lost a civil suit that found him liable for willfully and wrongfully causing the pair’s deaths.

But he’d never paid the $33.5 million that he owed to the victims’ families.

So the Goldmans moved to seize his book deal like it was any other asset, The Guardian said.

“The killer moved to Florida to avoid paying the money he owed us,” Kim told the outlet at the time, referring to OJ.

“Florida is very friendly to debtors: his house is safeguarded from our claims, as are his pensions,” she continued. “He declared himself bankrupt to avoid paying us. We couldn’t get any money from him — not that we wanted the money for ourselves, you understand, we just wanted him to suffer — until the prospect of us buying up the rights to his book became a possibility.”

In June 2007, a bankruptcy court gave the copyright to the Goldmans so Simpson couldn’t profit from it, the outlet said.

“Ron Goldman will own Simpson’s name, likeness, signature and story and will hawk it to satisfy this terrible judgment,” David Cook, the family lawyer, said after the ruling. “Justice has arrived in Miami.”

Kim echoed similar thoughts in the book’s preface, which she wrote.

“He had worked hard on this book, and thought he would retire off of it, and we took it right out from under him,” she wrote. “He had escaped our reach for nearly 11 years, but not this time.”

Simpson’s name was stricken from the piece he authored, replaced by a credit to the Goldman family, The Guardian said.

And they changed the look of the book’s title.

It had originally been named, “If I Did It, Here’s How It Happened.” But the Goldmans faded the word “if” to make it barely legible, while the words “I did it” were printed in bright pink, the outlet added.

They also tacked on a subtitle: “Why OJ Simpson’s Confession Must Not Remain a Secret.”

The Goldmans said they weren’t going to profit from the book, which goes into creepily detailed accounts of what “might” have led up to the pair’s savage killing.

“He wrote it as a cynical exercise to make money,” Fred told the outlet. “We’re publishing it to turn his words against him, to show to anybody who’s sitting on the fence about this case that he was responsible for the murder of Ron and Nicole.”

Ironically, 10% of the sales were slated to go to OJ to help lessen his bankruptcy burden — Kim said it was a tenet of the agreement.

The remaining proceeds were to go to charity — including foundations set up in both victims’ names that were meant to help victims of domestic violence.

“I do personally feel that I would let Ron down if I didn’t pursue this,” his dad told The Guardian.

“Ron deserved justice, and he deserved to live. We couldn’t get justice in the criminal trial, so this is the best we can do.”
