american tour 2022

As America, the perennial classic-rock favorite, hits the road in 2024, they're celebrating their 54th Anniversary with their powerful performances. America met in high school in London in the late 1960s and quickly harmonized their way to the top of the charts on the strength of their signature song "A Horse With No Name." America became a global household name and paved the way with an impressive string of hits following the success of their first #1 single. Fifty plus years later, these friends are still making music, touring the world and thrilling audiences with their timeless sound.

America's journey has found them exploring a wide variety of musical terrain. Their best-known tunes, which also include "I Need You," "Ventura Highway," "Don't Cross The River," "Tin Man," "Lonely People," and "Sister Golden Hair" were cornerstones of 1970's Top 40 and FM rock radio. Yet beyond their impressive catalog of hits, listeners would discover there was always much more to America than surface perceptions. The combination of melodic pop rock and folk-jazz elements, slinky Latin-leaning rhythms and impressionistic lyric imagery contrasted well with other more traditional country-rock leanings and highly personal lyrics.

America's albums--six certified gold and/or platinum, with their first greatest hits collection, History, hitting four plus million in sales--displayed a fuller range of the trio's talents than did their singles. Their material encompassed an ambitious artistic swath; from effects-laden rockers to oddball medleys to soul-bearing ballads, America displayed a flawless blend of disparate genres and styles as wide-open as the great American plains.

Enjoying massive success early in their career, America earned their stripes as musical soldiers on the battlefield amidst the excess, craziness and chaos of the 70's. The trio won the Grammy for Best New Artist in 1972 and began working with George Martin and Geoff Emerick in 1974. This successful team went on to record seven albums and several Top Ten hits, including "Tin Man," "Sister Golden Hair" and "Lonely People."

By the mid-70s, inter-band conflicts combined with an exhaustive touring and recording schedule exacted its toll on the group. With Peek's departure from the fold in 1977, the band rose to the challenge and carried ono. Shifts in sound and direction, changes in producers and managers, and a renewed dedication to the craft of songwriting helped rocket America to the upper reaches of the pop charts in 1982 with their smash single, "You Can Do Magic." During this tumultuous time in their career, the band immersed themselves in their craft, infusing a newfound maturity into their rich body of work. Their growth as singers, songwriters and musicians has continued into the present day as illustrated by landmark releases such as 2000's Highway 3-disc box set, 2002's Holiday Harmony, an album comprised of seasonal classics and live showcases, 2007's Here & Now, 2009's Live In Concert: Wildwood Springs, 2011's Back Pages, and 2015's Lost And Found and America: Archives Vol. 1.

In 2020, the band released their ultimate 8-disc anniversary box set, Half Century (America Records), and streamed their concert special America--Live at the London Palladium for the very first time (it is commercially available as a DVD and CD). 2020 also saw the release of the book America, the Band, An Authorized Biography by journalist Jude Warne. She weaves original interviews with the band and many others into a dynamic cultural history of America, the band, and America, the nation. Billy Bob Thornton wrote the foreword.

From their formative years, America has been a band capable of transcending borders with its uplifting music and positive message. Embracing a rainbow of divergent cultures, America's audiences continue to grow, comprising a loyal legion of first, second and third generation fans, all bearing testament to the group's enduring appeal.

British folk-rock trio, America, came into prominence in the 1970s, following their debut hit single, "A Horse with No Name," channeling the likes of Neil Young and the Everly Brothers into their music.

Formed by vocalists/guitarists Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek and Greg Beckley, America gained several top ten hits with their soft, lilting melodies and gentle harmonies that floated over their folk-tinged soft rock. The band gained their first exposure after landing a contract with Jeff Dexter, promotor for the Roundhouse concert venue in london, securing the trio high profile support slots at the venue. Soon they were in the studio, recording their debut album by 1970.

With their debut single, America had a hit on their hands, with "A Horse With No Name" becoming a number three hit in the UK in 1972. Their self-titled debut album equally charted well, peaking at number 14. Revved up by their success in the UK, America soon set their sights on conquering the US, supporting the Everly Brothers on their national tour. Their single was then released in the US, becoming a number one hit, establishing the band across the pond. Their second single, "I Need You" and third single "Ventura Highway" became top ten hits, proving the band can produce consistently quality music. These initial successes were acknowledged by the Grammy Awards, receiving an award for "Best New Artist" in 1972.

Their second album, "homecoming," released in January 1973, failed to maintain the momentum of their previous records, unable to break into the top ten of the American charts. However, their next record, this time aided by producer George Martin, sent them back to fame, with "Holiday" peaking at number three and featuring the hit singles, "Tin Man" and "Lonely People." They gained their second number one hit with the single, "Sister Golden Hair," from the 1975 album, "Hearts," releasing a greatest hits album that same year which sold over four million copies.

The latter half of the decade saw popularity for America begin to wane, although they still released a Gold-certified record, "Hideaway," in 1976 and had a handful of top 40 hits through to the mid-1980s. Entering the new millennium, the trio released a set of live albums as well as the encompassing, extensive box set, "Highway," which covered the whole of their career to that point. They were brought back to the studio by longtime fans, Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne and James Iha of the Smashing Pumpkins, recording their 2007 album, "Here & Now." The album featured guest artists who had been inspired by America, including Ryan Adams and Nada Surf.

Sadly in 2011, Dan Peek died at the age of 60. The band's legacy and influence was acknowledged through their indictment to the Vocal Group oHall of Fame, as well as receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Live reviews

America is a band I had the privilege of seeing several times back in the seventies. I was in high school when they released " A horse with no name". I saw them at an outdoor arena with a small amount of actual seats but with a Huge grassy area for seating. The Summer of Love (1969) was not that far in the past and a lot of folks were smoking pot on the lawn and just relaxing and having a good time.

Folk music was still pretty popular at the time and although America was not exactly a "Folk" band; they were a kinda of early "Folk/Rock" band. Their mix of acoustic guitars was one of the best parts of the performance. Their vocals are amazing. To this day;forty some years later; I still like to hear their music.

I saw them not long after their debut album came out so they did not have as many songs as they did later in their career. I caught them at another venue some years later and they had a much fuller set list with several "hit" songs. Most of the folks in the audience really enjoyed the show...as did I! The crowd all sand along when they played "Horse with no name". Most venues do not allow drinking these days (let alone "smoking") so the crowd was not quite as laid back. Still...many in the audience knew the lyrics and sang along.

It was great to hear the old songs again but not sure this was the right venue. Very reserved performance. It was more of a medley of their biggest hits rather than a concert. A couple of times they let their guard down and jammed a little but for the most part they played 4/5ths of each hit and moved on to the next song quickly. It was very obvious they were on the clock. Brought back some great memories though so all in all not a total bust.

Saw them in Dallas and so glad that I did! Brought back so many good memories of high school. They sounded great, it was an awesome outdoor venue and the perfect night. Looking forward to seeing them again soon!

It was a GREAT show! They played all of their hits and more. WOW! I never realized what rockers they really are until last night. Go see THEM! I hope they keep on playing another 50 years.

Commenting on The Who Hits Back! Tour , Roger Daltrey says, “Pete and I said we’d be back, but we didn’t think we’d have to wait for two years for the privilege. This is making the chance to perform feel even more special this time around. So many livelihoods have been impacted due to Covid, so we are thrilled to get everyone back together – the band, the crew and the fans.  We’re gearing up for a great show that hits back in the only way The Who know how.  By giving it everything we’ve got.”

The Who’s wildly successful 2019 MOVING ON! Tour brought the band’s iconic brand of incomparable rock through 29 cities, including a rollicking sold-out show in Boston’s historic Fenway Park ( above ), and a memorable Seattle show where Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder joined them onstage for a rousing version of ‘The Punk And the Godfather’. The tour generated the most unanimous outpouring of acclaim from critics and fans of any live rock show in 2019, winning raves across North America for the orchestral dynamic as well as the duo’s cathartic rock firepower and intimate acoustic numbers. “They’re not getting older. They’re getting better. You better, you better, you bet.” hailed the Worcester Telegram , with Pollstar Magazine affirming “Daltrey is in peak form, and so is Townshend, lavishing his trademarked windmill guitar motion.”

When I buy a ticket to the next show at the Boston garden is it possible to be let in with a semi professional camera and lens to take some shots from my seat that would be wonderful? Thank you and rock on!

It’s a shame tickets are so expensive. Especially for those of us that have been fans for almost half a century. I would love to see them again in Cincinnati to let them know how much we love & support them…The Who rocks!!!

' src=

Is this an all ages show? My daughters favorite band and it would be her dream to see them live. We would be attending the Boston event.

Yes, it is, Rachelle. But worth checking with the individual venues.

Looks like there will be no UK Tour in 2022. I had tickets for one of the cancelled shows during Covid. Luckily I saw the Tour at Wembley Stadium. Still seeing Roger at the Palladium in July should keep me going.

I was at this concert December 3, 1979 Cincinnati’s riverfront coliseum . It was a cold night close to 20,000 people waiting outside of the doors when the stadium personnel finally decided to open the doors they only opened for doors for all the people to go through the crowd began pushing and shoving to get towards the doors because they Heard the music starting to play and they began to push from the back towards the front and this continued back and forth in the crowd until people in the front got pushed right through the windows as I got pushed back and forth I turned around and ran back to the edge of the Colosseum rail to get out of the crowd that was squishing everybody when I got to the back I saw a bunch of people laying on the ground with paramedics around them none of them were moving I waited for the crowd to disperse and go inside I lost one of my shoes in the process of getting out of the crowd I told myself I would find it when I go inside when I got inside the door there was at least 10,000 shoes laying on the ground that had been trampled off of peoples feet rushing to get in luckily I found a pair of shoes rather large I jumped in them and went on into the concertI didn’t realize until the next day that all those people I saw up on the walkway had died from being squished that was the worst part of the night the concert was great!

Saw The Who at Hollywood Bowl last time around. One of my absolute favorite concerts ever! Will be back again this year! Thanks!

' src=

Thrilled to see you coming back to Colorado! We’ve missed you terribly and so happy you’re hitting it back!

' src=

I first saw them in Pontiac Michigan at the Silverdome on their first FAREWELL TOUR in 1982.I met Roger Daltrey in Heathrow Airport that December. He was a perfect gentleman!! I next saw them at Live Aid in London in 1985. I’ve only missed ONE tour since!

' src=

Will the setlist be the same as the previous Moving On tour that the orchestras also played with them?

Will Won’t Get Fooled Again remain acoustic or be back electric?

' src=

Will there be an opening band in Austin? Asking because my plane arrives at 6:55pm and concert is at 7:30pm so will be rushing from the airport. Thanks and CANNOT WAIT!!

' src=

I’m trying to buy tickets through Ticketmaster. The only delivery option is mobile / e-tickets. How can I buy REAL hard copy tickets? (I can’t stand “e-tickets.”)

Michael, ask Ticketmaster if they can do that for you.

' src=

Purchased tickets yesterday for Columbus. Remember taping radio concerts of the Who on my Nakamichi tape deck back in the early eighties. Never had the opportunity to experience live. Very much looking forward to the show! Thanks for coming to C-Bus!!!

' src=

Thanks for coming to boston!

' src=

We love THE WHO–love hockey–and, are a longtime Capital One Cardholders. But, please, in support of the Ukranian people, don’t play Capital One Arena–because Capital One Arena forbids flags, banners, or signs supporting Ukraine (a number of their Russian players and their wives have actively supported Putin and his “WAR”). Better yet, play the venue–fly the Ukrainian flag–and make a statement. Musicians can make a difference–remember South Africa. P.S.: here in Detroit we haven’t forgotten what you did for Gleaners Food Bank–thank You.

' src=

Is this concert going to be any different from the moving on tour?

' src=

Come to Nashville

' src=

No worries about Mexico. They will be coming to the US real soon.

Why are you performing at venues with vax mandates? Half of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania only had one dose. Your fans!

So sorry to miss your tour for the first time.🌺

' src=

Any dates for Montreal Canada

' src=

No Bay Area concerts. San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland is a huge metro area with a lot of people. It’s hard to believe you won’t come play for us. 🙁

' src=

Going to opening night tomorrow at the Hard Rock in Hollywood! Will there be an opening act?

Yes, the opening act is Leslie Mendelson.

' src=

I wish Pete was writing some new songs, especially now that Roger’s voice is different than it was 50 years ago. I hope that there is some new material.

' src=

No performance in Cleveland, home of the Rock n Roll Hall of fame, but two others in Ohio that are 2-5 hours away. Have some respect for the Rock Hall. The Who and the Rock Hall are a perfect match. Imagine the marketing and publicity. Do the event planners have any creativity?

' src=

Who’s the opening act in Tampa?

Leslie Mendelson opens for us in Tampa.

' src=

Who opens for you in Dallas this week?

Los Lonely Boys

Do you have an opening act in Dallas this week?

Hi Brandon, our special guests for all shows can be found here https://www.thewho.com/the-who-announce-special-guests-for-their-2022-north-american-tour/

' src=

Is there an opening act in Austin? What are the Set times?

' src=

Awesome concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Woodlands outside Houston, TX. Although Pete (“Don’t call me Peter”)was a tad under the weather with his voice, Roger absolutely nailed it tonight.

Having been at the aborted Houston concert back in 2019 when Roger had his attack of good old Texas hay fever, it has been my mission for the last two and a half years to see these guys again. Even had plans to see them in Manchester UK (needless to say, COVID stopped that adventure).

For a pair of old farts, they can still ROCK! And, the supporting members ain’t too shabby either.

Thanks Roger and Pete – 47 years after first seeing The Who, you guys still have it!

' src=

Who opens tonight in Memphis?

' src=

Is there an opening act for the concert in Philly on 20 May? If so, who?

Hi Jack, it’s Amythyst Kiah.

' src=

Who is opening up for you guys? Especially on May 20th in Philly?

' src=

For those who can read, 4 OCTOBER LITTLE CAESARS ARENA, DETROIT, MI

' src=

Just finished seeing Boston, Philadelphia and 2 New York shows. That makes 76 group and solo shows in my 55 years as a Who fan. Awesome as always. Still the greatest and always will be. LONG LIVE THE WHO!!!

Saw Boston,Philadelphia and both New York shows.Have seen 76 group and solo shows in 52 years.Still the greatest.LONG LIVE THE WHO!!!

' src=

Saw The Who at Bethel Woods! They were there 53 years ago! They sounded so GREAT!

' src=

I remember when my friends used to see you all at the Railway Hotel when you were the High Numbers – our favourite band and great memories. Living in US now 👍 would love to see you perform at Anaheim and reminisce 😀

Roger: did you work for Mr. Whale at the sheet metal company in Southall? His daughter and I are still best friends

Correction to my last message from Jill – Mr. Whale’s sheet metal company was in Southall. Was that where you worked? Did you ever go to Hammersmith Palais or Guy Haywards? We used to see the Animals at the Oldfield Hotel in Greenford, also Rod Stewart at Wembley Town Hall and Georgie Fame at the Flamingo in Wardour Street

' src=

I just turned 60 years young and my youngest son of 25 decided to take his dad to see a band I have not seen since 1979 here in Detroit. My son and I both are disabled veterans and it takes us time to prepare for a lot of walking and stair climbing together but we manage without complaint. I really was not expecting what I witnessed considering Daltry is 78 and Townshend 77. However to my astonishment they both as we say here in Detroit “KILLED IT” These multi talented gents and their colleagues of 22 people that I could count on the stage at one time Rocked Detroit and then thanked the audience for purchasing tickets for a show during g the week, drove in hectic traffic, paid high parking fees, walked at least a mile to come out to see them preform. I have seen more than 300 concerts in 5 counties and worked as an usher in the late 70’s and early 80’s but that is something I have never ever heard a performer say. To show gratitude in your fans is one thing but to clarify your understanding of how difficult things have been in and around our country here in the states was nothing short of empathy consideration and respect. I wish all of you who preformed tonight continued success and healthy happy lives as many members of the band will have continued bright futures as well. Thank you for a wonderful evening of solid rock music entertainment.

' src=

Very disappointed there is no stop planned for San Diego. It’s the 2nd largest city in California and there are many fans who would love a chance to see the Who.

' src=

Child,I was at your concert in La Courneuve in 1972 (200 000 people)…fantastic ! I am very sad that your long and exceptional version of My generation/Join together in Paris june 1979 was never edited…I have conserved it with a pirate record.Paris 1997 (two days at the Zenith for Quadrophenia tour) 2007 and 2013 (Bercy) exceptional…From France.

' src=

This is an excellent show. I am very appreciative that I was able to attend this excellent show. And the orchestra accompaniment, with the band’s excellent performances was amazing!

' src=

Saw you November 4, 2022 at Dolby Live in Las Vegas. I expected it to be a good show, but it was far beyond good. It was phenomenal. I’d love to buy a video of your tour performance if you decide to produce one. Also, one last note. I loved the opening act, the Wild Things. A truly memorable evening.

Two Auckland, New Zealand, shows are also planned for January 27th and 28th, 2023, with the four-year tour concluding sometime in 2023 in Australia with a string of shows to be announced at a later date.

“Whether it’s next summer in Frankfurt or at the legendary Dodger Stadium for the grand finale in the United States, I can’t wait to see you all on the road one last time,” John added. “This has been an incredible tour so far, full of the most amazing highs, and I look forward to making more wonderful memories with you at these final shows. To all my friends down under: We’ll be seeing you, too. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you in your town.”

TWICE

K-pop group TWICE announced the first five North American dates of their 2022 world tour over the weekend. The shows were unveiled in a poster with the details of the upcoming outing, which reveals that the swing will include stops in Los Angeles at the Forum on Feb. 16, the arena in Oakland on Feb. 18, as well as shows in Dallas (Dickies Arena, Feb. 22), Atlanta (State Farm Arena, Feb. 24) and New York (UBS Arena, Feb. 26).

The poster for the group’s fourth tour promises that more dates will be announced in the future. The tour was teased at the end of the recent prom-themed video for the English-language single “The Feels,” which featured an image of the poster with some key dates. Among the spotlight upcoming events are their sixth anniversary week — which took place last month — as well as a tease for their third album, due this month, and the upcoming tour.

Fans Choose TWICE's 'Formula of Love: O + T = <3' as This Week's Favorite New Music

The tour will kick off with three shows in Seoul, South Korea on Dec. 24, 25 and 26 at the Olympic Park KSPO Dome.

The group’s latest album,  Formula of Love: O + T = <3 , topped last week’s new music poll. Fans voted in a poll published Friday (Nov. 12) on  Billboard , choosing the K-pop girl group’s third album as their favorite new music release of the past week.  Formula of Love: O + T = <3  brought in nearly 59% of the vote, beating out new music by  Taylor Swift  ( Red (Taylor’s Version) ), Silk Sonic ( An Evening With Silk Sonic ),  Beyonce , (“Be Alive”),  Rosalía  featuring  The Weeknd  (“La Fama”), and others.

The new full-length features TWICE’s No. 10-charting Global Excl. U.S. single “The Feels,” the act’s first effort entirely in English. The set also features new track “Scientist,” which sees the nine-piece telling their lovers that there’s no need for special equations or chemicals when it comes to true romance.

Don McLean

DON McLEAN ANNOUNCES 2022 AMERICAN PIE 50TH ANNIVERSARY NORTH AMERICAN SHOWS ADDED TO WORLD TOUR

Dec 13, 2021

american tour 2022

Dates Include Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Nashville, New York, Phoenix, Toronto, and more! Announced in USA Today  and  ABC News

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – As announced in  USA Today  and  ABC News , Grammy award honoree, Songwriters Hall of Fame member, and BBC Lifetime Achievement Award recipient  Don McLean  is set to embark on his 2022  American Pie 50th Anniversary Tour  with 20 additional cities throughout the United States and Canada. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of one of the most iconic songs and album ever this year, McLean will entertain fans across the continent throughout nearly 30 cities from Honolulu to Toronto and everything in between, proving that “bye-bye, Miss American Pie” will forever remain a classic staple in American music.

“After spending the past 18 months at home, I am thrilled to be getting back on the road with my band,” says Don McLean. “2022 marks the 50th anniversary from when American Pie landed at the #1 spot on the Billboard chart and we will be celebrating on tour all year long. We will be performing all the songs from the American Pie album plus many of the other hits that fans will be expecting to hear.”

As tragic as the backstory behind the song “American Pie” is with the much too early death of the new rock’n’roll-hope Buddy Holly, the track is also magnificent and legendary. And “American Pie” still goes to heart as soon as originator Don McLean plays this classic at his concerts. Still, it’s worth remembering that the 76-year-old composer has written and sung numerous other melodic and harmonic successes in his decades-long career with “Vincent (Starry Starry Night),” “Castles in the Air,” “And I Love You So,” and “Cryin’,” all of which will be heard and reveled in along with newer pieces on the upcoming tour.

The eight-and-a-half-minute ballad “American Pie” has been making history since its release in 1971. Alongside songs by other icons such as Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Woody Guthrie, and Aretha Franklin, McLean’s composition was also voted “Song of the 20th Century”. Handwritten lyrics to the song were auctioned off for more than $1.2 million in 2015, and the composition was added to the Library Of Congress National Recording Registry two years later. Here, you’ll only find a few selected evergreens, such as “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”. So much for the cultural significance of Don McLean and his 1971 stroke of genius!

Over the years, the song has been covered again and again by music icons like Madonna and Garth Brooks. Rapper Drake repeatedly sampled McLean tunes and hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur also cited him as an important influence.

Accordingly, the complete discography of the legendary and still active singer/songwriter is also significant. Among other things, Don McLean has a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and was inducted into the National Academy of Popular Music Songwriters’ Hall Of Fame in 2004.

And he never gets tired of writing new songs and new stories. In 2018, the sound senior released his 19th studio album,  ‘Botanical Gardens’  which received rave reviews. Songs from it subsequently proved themselves live and will maybe even find their way into the setlist next year, alongside “American Pie” and all the other feats from this decades-spanning and unparalleled composition and performance career.

Rammstein have rescheduled their North American tour to the fall of 2022. A year ago, the band postponed the tour due to the coronavirus pandemic which is sweeping the globe. The trek was then moved to the summer of 2021 before being postponed once again.

Due to overwhelming popular demand, the tour has added a second date at the L.A. Coliseum on Saturday, September 24, 2022 and a third show at Foro Sol in Mexico City on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

How to Get Tickets

Pearl jam ten club members-only presale powered by ticketmaster request, what is ticketmaster request, anything new to know about this process.

For newly added show dates, Ten Club has secured more tickets for these shows than ever before. The majority of members who submit a Ten Club ticket request will get tickets. This also means that Ten Club seating includes seats farther back in the venue than in the past.

How does the Ten Club ticket request work?

How do i unlock access to the ten club ticket request, is there a cutoff date to become a ten club member for the ticket request, can i request tickets for more than one city, can i get tickets to both shows in a city that has multiple performance dates, if i submit requests on both u.s. and canada sites, which becomes my #1 preference.

Ticket requests for U.S. and Canada dates will be processed independently of each other. This means that you would have a #1 preference for U.S. shows, and a #1 preference for Canada shows.

What if I submit requests for Canada shows in both English and French?

These are the same shows. Only your most recent Canada ticket request will be considered, regardless of the language selected.

How will tickets be determined for Ten Club members?

To level the playing field, ticket requests are confirmed in a randomized selection process while still considering show priority .

What types of ADA Seating are available?

ADA seating locations will vary by venue.  There is no ADA seating in the GA PIT at any of the shows.

Can I transfer or sell tickets I can’t use?

Who do i contact if i have questions about my ticket request, i need to adjust my ten club ticket request, what should i do, can i cancel my ticket request, what is the maximum number of tickets i can request per show, when will you charge my card.

Charges will begin on Monday, March 21 and end on Friday, March 25 — you will only be charged if your request is confirmed. To avoid declined transactions, please make sure your card has available funds to cover your maximum total.

I submitted duplicate requests by accident. What should I do?

Can i confirm my seats before my credit card is charged what if i don’t like the tickets i get, i’m having trouble getting past the ticketmaster sign in on the ten club ticket request site..

If you are successfully entering your email address and password but not allowed to continue, please make sure that your browser settings allow 3rd party cookies.

If my request is confirmed, how will I get my tickets?

My credit card got charged but i haven’t received an email confirming my order yet, what should i do, is ticketmaster request for ten club members only, what is the verified fan onsale, can i request additional tickets through the verified fan onsale, what happens if my ticket request is not confirmed, are international fans able to request tickets.

Yes, international fans that create a Ticketmaster.com account can submit a Ten Club ticket request. However, we may limit the availability of the Site or any service or product described on the Site to any person or geographic area at any time. Please visit our Terms and Conditions for more information about access outside of the U.S.

Pearl Jam Onsale powered by Ticketmaster Verified Fan ®

Ticketmaster Verified Fan is committed to getting more tickets into the hands of fans fairly, and at the prices set by the artist. While it doesn’t guarantee that everyone who is verified will get a ticket, it does level the playing field so more tickets go to fans who want to go to the show — not ticket bots. A simple registration is all it takes and this quick guide will walk you through all the details.

Registration

Registration is easy and only takes a few minutes. Follow these steps to get started:

1. Click here to go to the Ticketmaster Verified Fan custom registration page.

2. Sign in using your Ticketmaster account, or if you don’t have one, you can create one when you register.

3. Tell us what show(s) you’re interested in and submit your registration.

From there, we’ll send you a confirmation email to confirm your registration was successful and what to expect next.

This is where Verified Fan really flexes its muscle to ensure that more tickets go to the fans who want to attend the show. Only those who are invited to the sale may shop using a unique access code. Here’s how it works:

1. The night before the sale  — we’ll let you know if you’ve been invited to shop. The invitation process may vary from event to event, and invitations are based on demand and ticket availability.

If you were invited, you’ll receive a text message to the number you provided during registration. Your text will include your unique access code and a link to shop. Keep an eye out for this text and be careful that you don’t accidentally delete it.

Commonly Asked Questions

We receive a lot of questions about Verified Fan, so we thought it would be helpful to take the ones we get most and provide the answers all in one place.

Can I register more than once to increase my invitation status?

Only one registration is required, and registering more than once won’t increase your opportunity to receive an invitation. If after you’ve registered, you want to change the dates you selected, just come back and register with your new picks. We only keep the last registration you submitted.

I received a confirmation email, what does that mean?

This email is simply to confirm your details and that we successfully received your registration. It doesn’t, however, guarantee you’ll receive an invitation to shop. Once we get closer to the Verified Fan Onsale, you’ll receive an email with additional information about your invitation status.

Does registering mean I get a Verified Fan access code?

Access codes are never guaranteed, and due to anticipated demand and limited supply, fans are selected at random to receive an invitation to shop.

Does getting an access code mean I will get tickets?

Receiving an access code means that you’ll have the opportunity to shop for tickets. However, the ability to purchase tickets is determined by supply and demand, and is not guaranteed. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

When is the Verified Fan Onsale?

The Verified Fan Onsale will begin on Tuesday, March 29 at 10 AM venue local time.

If I am selected, how long do I have to shop for tickets?

While we suggest you purchase as soon as you are able, we understand there may be some planning involved.

What is the ticket limit?

The ticket limit for the Verified Fan Onsale  is four (4) tickets per show.

What is PJ Premium?

How can i get the seating map in advance.

Seating options vary depending on the event or venue and in some cases may not be available until tickets go on sale. Visit the event page on Ticketmaster to learn more about seating options and maps.

I got an email telling me that I’m on the Waitlist, what does that mean?

Due to extremely high demand and limited invitations, we are sometimes unable to confirm your access for the Verified Fan Presale. Should additional invitations become available, we will notify you by text message. Please keep in mind any additional ticket inventory will be extremely limited and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

How will I know if I move off the Waitlist?

Keep your phone close by as your text notification can come at any time after the sale begins. When notified, you’ll receive two text messages: The first one has the link to the sale, and the second contains your unique access code. You’ll also want to closely watch your email just in case there are text delivery issues such as an incorrectly entered number or blocked carriers. In that case we’ll email your access code details to the address you use for your Ticketmaster account .

Day two at the Masters

It was a windy, gusty Friday at Augusta National for the second round of the Masters.

Tiger Woods shot a second-round 72 and made a record 24th cut at the Masters. Woods also played 23 holes on Friday after completing his first round in the morning.

How Neal Shipley claimed Masters low amateur honors: ‘A little bit of grit’

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Neal Shipley wasn’t raised in a golf family. But he did grow up with a family that loved golf.

The Sunday afternoon of the 2004 PGA Championship was all it took for the Ohio State graduate student — the only amateur to make the cut at this week’s Masters — to fish his dad’s neglected golf clubs out of a closet and give this humbling game a lifelong shot.

“Me and my dad were on our couch,” Shipley said on Friday after finishing 36 holes at Augusta National in 3-over and making the cut by three shots. “And Vijay Singh won. The next day I took my dad’s golf clubs, which were dusty and probably never used, and started swinging around. I decided to get my own little set, and it took off from there.”

Shipley wasn’t just hooked, he was adamant. As an elementary schooler, he told anyone in his hometown of Mt. Lebanon, Penn. that he intended to become a professional golfer. In the second grade, he took his bag to school for “show and tell.” Shipley’s class ventured outdoors at recess to watch him launch drivers into the schoolyard. He was a regular at his local junior league. Shipley’s family eventually decided to join St. Clair Country Club, so he could properly hone his craft.

“We joined a country club so that he’d have a place to play,” says his father, also named Neal Shipley, “But we’re not country club people.”

Twenty years later, Shipley will play the weekend at the 88th Masters at a firm and fast Augusta National after being invited as the 2023 U.S. Amateur runner-up. He’s tied for 30th, hanging right in there with legends of the game, including 61-year-old Singh, who sits at 4-over, one stroke behind the 23-year-old on the leaderboard through 36 holes.

Round of the day: Ludvig Åberg

Åberg shoots second-round 69

Ludvig Åberg shot the round of the day Friday with a second-round 69.

The last player to have the round of the day at the Masters — no ties — in his Masters Tournament debut was Smylie Kaufman in 2016 (69 in round three).

History of world No. 1 holding 36-hole lead at Masters

Since the OWGR began in 1986, this will be the fourth time the reigning No. 1 has held the 36-hole lead at the Masters.

1996 Greg Norman — led by four (finished 2nd)

2020 Dustin Johnson — co-led (won)

2022 Scottie Scheffler — led by five (won)

2024 Scottie Scheffler — co-leader

A challenging scoring day at Augusta

Today (75.08) was the highest field scoring average in round two of The Masters since 2007, and just the fourth time in the last 30 years the field averaged higher than 75 in the second round.

Brody Miller

Who missed the cut?

The wind was punishing Friday, seemingly eliminating stars in a matter of seconds with one blowup hole being enough to derail a round. Double bogey became a common score to see, like reigning Open Champion Brian Harman (+9) finishing his first round Friday morning by going triple-bogey, double-bogey, double-bogey.

Maybe the most painful missed cut was Justin Thomas. The two-time major winner was even par with four holes to go, but he double-bogeyed 15 and 16, bogeyed 17 and double-bogeyed 18 to miss the cut by losing seven shots in four holes.

Viktor Hovland was one of the best players in the world six months ago, but his fascinating, strange struggles continue as Hovland went from 4-under early Thursday to shooting an 81 in round two to drop to 8-over and miss out on the weekend.

Others to miss the cut include three-time major winner Jordan Spieth (+9), Wyndham Clark (+7), Sam Burns (+9) and Dustin Johnson (+13).

Masters Round 2 takeaways: Scheffler, DeChambeau, Homa share 36-hole lead

Masters Round 2 takeaways: Scheffler, DeChambeau, Homa share 36-hole lead

LIV has 8 make the cut

DeChambeau is certainly doing most of the heavy lifting for the LIV field as he sits at 6-under for the co-lead, but LIV brought 13 golfers to the Masters and eight made the cut. It might not be looking like the same success as three golfers finishing top four last year, yet multiple players are still in the mix.

DataGolf gives DeChambeau a 23 percent chance of winning the Masters, while Cam Smith sits at 1-under par at the halfway point. Smith is one of the better players at Augusta, with four top-10s here in the last five years. Patrick Reed, another Masters expert who won the green jacket in 2018, is T16 at even par.

Other LIV golfers to make the cut include Brooks Koepka (+2), Tyrell Hatton (+2), Joaquin Niemann (+4), Phil Mickelson (+4) and Jon Rahm (+5). Rahm, the defending Masters champ, shot 76 in round two to take himself out of contention but still made the cut. Meanwhile, 2020 Masters champ Dustin Johnson missed out at 13-over.

DeChambeau in lead with new custom-made irons

One of the stories of the tournament has been not just DeChambeau’s impressive play — where he co-leads at 6-under par — but also his fascinating switch to a new set of custom-made, 3D-printed irons that were only approved by the USGA this week.

The approval was down to the wire, with DeChambeau receiving feedback last week they’d be non-conforming due to too sharp of groove edges. He didn’t receive full approval of the set made by a company called Avoda until early Tuesday morning. Despite the Masters being 48 hours away, he switched to them immediately and felt comfortable by the end of Wednesday. Thursday, he shot a first-round 65 for the solo lead.

“They have just got a different curvature on the face than other equipment,” Dechambeau explained. “Most equipment is flat. These have a different curvature on the face that allows me to have my mis-hits to go a little straighter sometimes.”

DeChambeau has had the idea for these irons since 2020, and when asked if he couldn’t find a manufacturer to make them he only said: “I’m not going to speak much more on that but I’ve had this idea for a long, long time.”

The set is one of a kind, with DeChambeu confirming there is no backup set. He said they’re holding up well, but if anything did happen to them he would switch back to his Ping i330s that he’s been using since July. It’s worth noting that since July, DeChambeau has had two LIV wins and four straight top-10s.

Scheffler shoots second-round 72

Scheffler tied for the lead

(Photo: Andrew Redington/Getty Images)

After a tricky day at Augusta National, Scottie Scheffler is atop the leaderboard at the Masters.

He shot a second-round 72 with three birdies and three bogeys.

Scheffler is in a three-way tie atop the leaderboard with Bryson DeChambeau and Max Homa.

JT misses the cut

Justin Thomas will once again miss the cut at the Masters due to an abysmal back nine. The two-time major champion finished double-double-bogey-double to shoot a back nine 42, carding a 7-over 79 for his second round. Thomas suffered a very similar fate last year at Augusta National, when he came in with four bogeys and a double to miss the weekend, playing in a torrential downpour.

While many big names struggled on Friday afternoon on a firm, fast and brutally windy Augusta, Thomas's implosion feels particularly notable, especially in the wake of his recent split with his longtime caddie Jim "Bones" Mackay.

Thomas missed the cut in three of the four majors last season and hoped 2024 would serve as a sort of blank slate. So far, his PGA Tour results have shown signs of hope (he has four top-12s this season) but is Thomas still in the midst of his major championship slump?

Tiger compared to the field average

Woods beats field average

(Photo: Ben Jared/PGA TOUR via Getty Images)

Tiger Woods beat the field average in each of the first two rounds. Today was the 80th time in his Masters career he's shot a score better than the field that day.

Highest percentage of rounds beating field in Masters history (min. 30 rounds):

Lloyd Mangrum, 81.7 percent

Tiger Woods, 81.6 percent

Ben Hogan, 79.6 percent

Hugh Kellenberger

Hovland falls to 8-over-par

Viktor Hovland is now 8-over but he's still having a very good week because all golf clothing discourse is now solely about Jason Day/Malbon.

Max Homa is finally having his Masters breakthrough

AUGUSTA, Ga. — Max Homa walked up to the beginning of the most famous three holes in golf, alone, unconcerned with the legend behind him. Unconcerned with the surroundings or the stage.

Back on the 10th green, Tiger Woods and Jason Day took their time reading putts and finishing the hole. But Homa had his par. He had his co-lead at the Masters. So for a full two minutes, Homa walked ahead, up the hill to the start of Amen Corner.

This time was going to be different. This time, he was going to worry about himself.

He thought back to his journal scribblings from Thursday night, a habit he’s been focusing on the past year. He writes what he’s grateful for and mental goals for the day. And on Thursday night he wrote a simple mantra.

However good I am is however good I am.

Read more about Homa's second-round performance here .

Max Homa is finally having his Masters breakthrough

Rahm back-to-back birdies

Jon Rahm, the reigning Masters champion, had a double bogey on the 14th hole.

That brought him to 6-over, below the cut line.

How did Rahm respond?

With back-to-back birdies on 15 and 16. His birdie on 16 was well below the hole on the green.

Rahm is 4-over-par and currently inside the cut line. Can he hang on to make the weekend?

Zach Johnson responds to apparent profanity toward patrons: 'That's laughable'

Zach Johnson responded to his apparent profanity toward patrons on the par-3 12th.

"That I swore at the patrons? That's laughable," Johnson said. "That's completely laughable. I can't hear the patrons, number one. Number two, I just made a triple bogey on the 12th hole that evidently is going to make me miss the cut, which at the time I knew was pretty sensitive in the sense that I needed to keep making pars.

"If I've said anything, which I'm not going to deny, especially if it's on camera, one, I apologize, and two, it was fully directed towards myself entirely because I can't hear anything behind me. Does that make sense?"

Scheffler bogeys 13 after finding water

Scottie Scheffler entered the 13th hole with a one-shot lead at the Masters. He left it in a three-way tie with Max Homa and Bryson DeChambeau after putting an aggressive second shot into Rae's Creek. His nice chip from the drop gave him a chance to save par, but he just barely missed the putt to ultimately bogey the hole. Some might call it slight karma after Scheffler caught a lucky break on 13 yesterday.

He hit a similar approach that fell short in round one but that time it miraculously stayed up on the hill above the creek. He was able to chip up and still birdie the hole. Now, he enters the final five holes at even par for the round.

Tyrrell Hatton criticizes pace of play

Hatton calls out group in front's slow play

(Photo: Warren Little/Getty Images)

Englishman Tyrell Hatton criticized the pace of play in the group in front of him at the Masters on Friday, a group that included LIV teammate Patrick Reed in addition to Sungjae Im and Kurt Kitayama.

"Yeah, the lads in front have been so slow," Hatton said. "It's pretty poor from the officials that it took 32 holes to put them on the clock. Yesterday they'd lost a hole and a half, and then they weren't any better even this morning, and then for the second round they were just brutal. Fine for them; they're not waiting on any shot that they hit. But for us, we stood in the fairway, we stood on the tee. It was really hard to get a rhythm, so it was disappointing that it took 32 holes for an official to go, oh, we've put the group in front on the clock."

Hatton said he said something to a rules official on the eighth hole when his group had to wait to hit on 8 because the group ahead was still putting on the green. He said he knew that group was the culprit because the group two ahead was already teeing off on the 10th hole.

"It's a small field. It's not hard to really keep up with the group in front. I understand if you've had a tough hole, but when it's just like every hole, then it's a bit more frustrating."

DeChambeau shoots 73

DeChambeau 6-under-par

(Photo: Maddie Meyer/Getty Images)

Bryson DeChambeau shoots a second-round 73.

An up and down back nine for DeChambeau who recorded three bogeys and two birdies.

He also had the content moment of the day when he carried a direction sign with his bare hand.

DeChambeau is currently at 6-under-par and tied with Max Homa.

Scottie Scheffler is the solo leader at 7-under-par.

Howling winds at Augusta

The winds are howling at Augusta National.

Gary Woodland's ball at the par-3 16th moved down the green from its original spot.

Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele had an extra wait at the par-4 11th.

A difficult conclusion to this second round ahead.

Canadian Rockies Tour

Canadian Rockies

Fantastic itinerary and a great 2 weeks in the Canadian Rockies. The trip covers all of the 'must see' destinations but the real highlights were the places we wouldn't of found ourselves including an amazing hike at Mt Robson (with a very cold swim in the glacial lake at the top!) and the overnight canoe trip in Wells Grey NP which was a highlight for the entire group. If you enjoy camping, pitching in to prepare meals and the great outdoors then I highly recommend this trip to see the Rockies!

Caribou Tour

Honestly, it was the best tour I've ever done! I was so lucky with the group I had, and the tour guide - Dayton - was so fun as well. The only downside was that it ended. 100% recommend!

What people love about North America Tours

I only wished it lasted longer
We thoroughly enjoyed the 7-day tour of the US southwest . We love the destinations included in the tour, every place we visited is on our bucket list. I wanted to pinch myself every day that I visited those iconic and beautiful places as shown in my photos below. We enjoyed all the extra, optional experiences that were suggested by the tour guide. They added more fun to the tour. The Hummer tour in Moab, Utah was one of the optional experiences and it was a blast! Not only it’s fun, you get to see the amazing scenery during the sunset. One previous review mentioned he or she was forced to participate in the Navajo taco dinner in Monument Valley. That comment is not true. You have a choice not to do that and the guide can make a different arrangement for you. The optional Navajo taco dinner is one of the highlights of the tour that we will remember for a long time. It would be a shame not to have this cultural experience when you get to meet Navajo people when you are in the Navajo Nation! Our tour guide, John did a fantastic job. He was full of enthusiasm and energy. He kept the tour well organized and always provided information we needed. We highly recommend the tour.

Aerosmith announces rescheduled 2024-25 farewell tour dates. Get tickets

No need to “Dream On” much longer.

Aerosmith has finally announced the rescheduled dates of their ‘Peace Out’ farewell tour with special guests The Black Crowes and Teddy Swims on select dates.

The 40-concert jaunt will take the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers to arenas all over North America from September 2024 up until February 2025.

Notable shows include stops at Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on Saturday, Dec. 28 and New York’s Madison Square Garden on Feb. 23, 2025.

Their last gig is scheduled for Feb. 26, 2025 at Buffalo’s KeyBank Center .

This upcoming trek will be the second attempt at rescheduling the tour; Steven Tyler sustained vocal cord damage at a Sept. 9, 2023 concert in Long Island — just three shows into their run — and the band had to postpone indefinitely.

“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled shows,” Aerosmith shared on Instagram .

If you haven’t gotten tickets yet and want to sing along to “Sweet Emotion,” “Walk This Way,” “Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” and so many more hits one last time, tickets can be scooped up for all ‘Peace Out’ concerts as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, April 12, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

A complete calendar including all rescheduled ‘Peace Out’ tour dates, venues, and links to buy tickets can be found below.

The original Aerosmtih lineup won’t be fully intact on this run of concerts.

Yes, lead singer Steven Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton and rhythm guitarist Brad Whitford are slated to perform at all shows.

However, drummer Joey Kramer will be sitting this run of shows out to “focus his attention on his family and health” according to  AP News .

Kramer, 72, will be replaced by John Douglas who has drummed with the band since 2019.

Aerosmith got three shows deep into their ‘Peace Out’ Farewell Tour before postponing.

For a closer look, here’s what they played at a recent live show courtesy of  Set List FM :

01.) “Back in the Saddle”

02.) “Same Old Song and Dance”

03.) “Rag Doll”

04.) “Livin’ on the Edge”

05.) “Janie’s Got a Gun”

06.) “No More No More”

07.) “Cryin’”

08.) “Adam’s Apple”

09.) “Hangman Jury”

10.) “Seasons of Wither”

11.) “Movin’ Out”

12.) “Love in an Elevator”

13.) “Stop Messin’ Around” (Fleetwood Mac cover)

14.) “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”

15.) “Rats in the Cellar”

16.) “Sweet Emotion”

17.) “Toys in the Attic”

18.) “Dream On”

19.) “Walk This Way”

On all dates except their opener when they’ll perform with Teddy Swims, Aerosmith will be joined by  The Black Crowes aka Rolling Stone’s “best new band of 1990.”

The band, known for mega hits “Hard To Handle” and “She Talks To Angels,” is also conducting a solo tour of their own this year including a show at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on April 27.

In 1973, the 25-year-old Tyler was given guardianship of 16-year-old Julia Holcomb so the two could live together.

After a tumultuous three-year relationship, the two broke up.

Nearly 50 years later, Holcomb — who now goes by Julia Misley — filed a lawsuit in December 2022. In the suit, she claimed Tyler sexually assaulted her, forced her to abort their child, and convinced her to drink and take drugs after he promised to serve as her guardian.

In the trial, Tyler alleged the relationship was consensual and had immunity because of his guardian status.

Legal experts have since said “caregiver immunity” does not exist if you sexually abuse the person you’ve taken in.

“The lawsuit came in the final days of California’s Child Victims Act, which temporarily lifted the statute of limitations for survivors of childhood sexual abuse to come forward with their allegations,” Consequence of Sound reported.

Jeanne Bellino, another minor that was sexually abused by Tyler in the 1970s, also filed a lawsuit against him; US District Judge Lewis Kaplan threw the case out this February because she “had waited too long to sue Tyler under a New York City law protecting victims of gender-motivated violence,” Reuters wrote.

“(Kaplan) said Bellino did not qualify for a two-year window to pursue claims that would otherwise extend beyond statutes of limitations, because she did not allege that Tyler’s conduct posed a “serious risk of physical injury.”

Many of the biggest acts that defined the sound of the ’70s and ’80s are back on the road this year for another spin.

Aerosmith Announce 2024-2025 North American Farewell Tour

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

The post Aerosmith Announce 2024-2025 North American Farewell Tour appeared first on Consequence .

Aerosmith have unveiled the dates for their rescheduled North American farewell tour, taking place from September 2024 through February 2025. As was the case with the original itinerary, the “Peace Out” tour will feature support from The Black Crowes .

The legendary rock act had kicked off the tour in September 2023, but the outing only lasted three shows before singer Steven Tyler experienced a serious vocal injury. The band was forced to postpone the remaining dates indefinitely.

Get Aerosmith Tickets Here

Now, Aerosmith have announced that the rescheduled tour will launch September 20th in Pittsburgh, and run through a February 26th show in Buffalo, New York. Along the way, they’ll play Los Angeles on December 7th; a hometown New Year’s Eve show in Boston on December 31st; and New York City’s Madison Square Garden on February 23rd, among dozens of other cities.

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled shows, while tickets for the new dates go on sale Friday (April 12th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster .

Fans can also check for deals or pick up tickets to sold-out Aerosmith shows via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

The kickoff show in Pittsburgh on September 20th and the next one in Philadelphia on September 23rd are being made up despite those being two of the cities Aerosmith did get to play in 2023, perhaps acknowledging that Tyler’s voice wasn’t up to par at those concerts.

When the tour originally launched last September, Aerosmith featured a lineup of original members Tyler, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, and bassist Tom Hamilton, along with drummer John Douglas (who’s been filling in for Joey Kramer the past few years) and keyboardist Buck Johnson. While no announcement has been made, it is assumed that the same lineup will set out this coming September.

Tyler had recently been embroiled in a lawsuit alleging the sexual assault of a minor in the 1970s, but that suit was tossed out by a judge in February.

The Black Crowes, meanwhile, recently released Happiness Bastards , their first new album in 15 years. They will be on board for all of the dates except the kickoff show in Pittsburgh, where Teddy Swims will have the honor of opening for Aerosmith.

See Aerosmith’s rescheduled farewell tour dates below.
