Aventura Announces Their Final Tour — & It’s Sooner Than You Think

Ring the alarm! Aventura has officially reunited and they’ll be hitting the road in the U.S. Today (Feb. 27), the bachata group announced the dates for their 2024 Cerrando Ciclos Tour, which they say will be the last time they will come together on stage. 

Romeo Santos and Aventura created a frenzy online yesterday with a teaser post on their social media accounts. In the video called “Cerrando Ciclos,” a chest opened up with photos and memorabilia from throughout the band’s career. The last time Aventura performed in concert together was in 2021, when they wrapped up their Inmortal Tour. That year, they also teamed up with Bad Bunny for the one-off single “ Volví .” The tour was named after Aventura’s “ Inmortal ” song, included on Santos’ 2019 Utopía .

Aventura fans will be able to relive the nostalgia of their classics like “Obsesión,” “Un Beso,” and “Ella y Yo” on the band’s Cerrando Ciclos Tour. The 20-date tour will kick off on May 1 in Sacramento, CA. Throughout that month and June, Aventura will perform concerts in other major cities like Los Angeles, CA, Houston, TX, New York City, NY, Washington, DC, and Miami, FL. The tour will wrap up on June 21 in Dallas, TX. Tickets will go on-sale on Friday, March 1 at 12 p.m. local time.  

“I want you to join me on a journey where I will be definitively closing cycles,” Romeo Santos shared in a statement. “Because it is not the same to remember beautiful times as it is to be a prisoner of the past. We cannot [be] stagnate in the nostalgia of yesterday, but rather move forward, discover new horizons, and show other facets.”

The Cerrando Ciclos Tour will arrive on the heels of Aventura celebrating the 25th anniversary of the band’s debut album Generation Next , released in 1999. Long-time Aventura fans know that the guys actually formed the group earlier. In 1996, they released the album Trampa De Amor under their old name Los Tinellers. Last month, Aventura made the Los Tinellers LP available on music streaming platforms for the first time.

Aventura announced it is joining forces for a U.S. tour called "Cerrando Ciclos."

This tour will mark the final time Romeo Santos joins Aventura on stage, according to a new release.

The show will make a stop at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale on Thursday, May 9.

"This year there is something I must accomplish and conclude. I want you to join me on a journey where I will be definitively closing cycles. Because it is not the same to remember beautiful times as it is to be a prisoner of the past. We cannot stagnate in the nostalgia of yesterday, but rather move forward, discover new horizons, and show other facets," shared the King of Bachata, Romeo Santos, through his social media channels.

MIAMI - Iconic bachata band Aventura has announced on Tuesday a new North American tour, "Cerrando Ciclos." It will start on May 1 in Sacramento, California. The tour promises to be a nostalgic journey, revisiting the group's greatest hits and marking another significant milestone in their illustrious career.

"Aventura will never disappear," band member Henry Santos said to the Latin Times when asked about whether this is really Aventura's last tour ever. "We are bound forever, not only by our musical history, but we are also family. Right now, we are only focusing on the tour. It's going to be amazing."

The band, founded by Anthony "Romeo" Santos, Lenny Santos, Max Santos, and Henry Santos, has been an integral part of bachata's evolution. They were the first artists to blend bachata with R&B, hip hop & rap, reggae and rock, creating a new sound that has made them famous worldwide.

Throughout their career, Aventura has released five studio albums, producing hits like "Cuando Volverás," "Obsesión," "Un Beso," "Mi Corazoncito," and more. Their influence extends beyond the recording studio, having performed in numerous renowned arenas, including Madison Square Garden and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Aventura's "Cerrando Ciclos"

Aventura's journey is nothing short of remarkable. Originating in New York, the band transformed bachata, a genre traditionally rooted in the rural communities of the Dominican Republic, into a global phenomenon. Their modern take, which has not lost the genre's essence, earned them the title "Reyes de la Bachata Moderna" (Kings of Modern Bachata). Their legacy in the tropical music industry is undeniable, inspiring numerous contemporary artists.

After an eight-year hiatus (between 2011 and 2019) Aventura reunited to record "Inmortal," a song included in Romeo Santos' album "Utopía." Since then, they have toured twice. The last time was in 2021.

Their upcoming tour is poised to be a grand celebration, spanning across multiple cities in the United States and Canada and including stops in arenas in San Jose, Los Angeles, Ontario, Glendale, Houston, Charlotte, Chicago, New York, Washington, Newark, Orlando, Atlanta, Toronto, and Montreal.

In the statement announcing the tour, band leader and leading vocalist Romeo Santos hinted that this could indeed be his last stint with Aventura:

"This year there is something I must do and conclude. I want you to join me on a journey where I will be definitively closing cycles. Because it's not the same to remember beautiful times as it is to be a prisoner of the past. We cannot stagnate in yesterday's nostalgia, but rather must move forward, discover new horizons, and show other facets."

The tour tickets will start selling on March 1.

Aventura have announced an upcoming one-night-only concert as part of their “Inmortal” reunion tour that was postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The bachata group, helmed by Romeo Santos , Henry Santos , Lenny Santos and Max Santos, canceled their 2020 reunion tour March 12 at the former AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami when Mayor Carlos Gimenez declared a state of emergency, canceling large events to stop the spread of the virus. They also canceled the remaining North American tour, which was set to wrap in August.

Now, the tour will officially conclude Aug. 14 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami for a one-time show produced by Live Nation.

All the Latin Tours Announced for 2021 (Updating)

Named after the group’s first single in nearly 10 years, the “Inmortal” tour grossed $25.8 million and sold 189,000 tickets, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. That’s 15 shows between Feb. 5 and March 10, 2020.

Although the group has reunited multiple times since disbanding in 2011 (see timeline below), this is the “last and final” Aventura concert together, according to Santos on Instagram .

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday via Ticketmaster.com .

Billboard can not confirm if fans who purchased tickets for the March 12 show will be able to use their tickets on Aug. 14. We have reached out to organizers for further comments but did not hear back at press time.

2014 – Yankee Stadium

In 2014, Henry, Max, and Lenny joined Romeo on the second night of his historic Yankee Stadium concert, becoming the first time the group shared the stage in four years.

2016 – United Palace Shows

They later kicked off what would be their “last shows together” with a four-date tour at the United Palace Theater in New York in February.

2019 – “Inmortal” Single & Billboard Latin Music Awards

Three years later, they released their first single in almost 10 years, coined “Inmortal” and part of Santos’ fourth studio album Utopia. The song entered Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs and Hot 100 charts. That same year, Aventura performed it live alongside Raulin Rodriguez and won tropical duo/group of the year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

2019 – MetLife Stadium

The group later joined forces at Romeo’s “Utopia” concert at the MetLife Stadium, where they performed some of their biggest hits including “Obsession” alongside Cardi B.

2020 – Inmortal Tour

Aventura announced their reunion tour “Inmortal” with more than 30 confirmed dates across the U.S. and Canada. The tour kicked off on February 5 at The Forum in Inglewood and came to an end on March 10 at the former AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami due to the global pandemic.

2020 – Virtual Concert

In the midst of the quarantine lockdown, Aventura blessed fans with a nearly one-hour virtual concert via Bud Light Seltzer Sessions.

Bags up to 12"x14" are permitted inside Prudential Center. Anything larger, including backpacks, are not permitted, with the exception of childcare or medical bags. Permissible larger bags will be X-rayed. All bags are subject to search by Prudential Center security team members at each point of entry. Tickets for the tour will be available starting Friday, March 1st, at 12:00 PM local time

The Kings of Bachata, Aventura, will swoon audiences one final time as they reunite for their farewell tour, "Cerrando Ciclos" which includes a stop at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena in June.

"Aventura returns to steal your heart for the last time with their, 'Cerrando Ciclos' tour," said Bridgestone Arena in a Facebook post. "Don't miss out on the opportunity to see Romeo, Henry, Lenny and Max together for the last time."

The tour was announced on Feb. 26 with a video of a trunk opening to reveal photographs of the group and albums like "The Last," "God's Project" and "We Broke the Rules."

Back in 2023, the group's frontman, Romeo Santos, performed at Bridgestone during his "Formula Vol. 3 Tour." The show drew 12,700 attendees and garnered $1.75 million in gross revenue, making him the artist with the highest grossing concert and most tickets sold by a Latin artist at the arena.

The Nashville tour stop was one of the nine dates added to the original tourlist due to high demand. Included in the new dates are also stops in Milwaukee, Washington D.C. and Atlanta.

Who is Aventura?

Aventura is a bachata group from The Bronx, N.Y. composed of Romeo Santos, Henry Santos, Lenny Santos, and Max Santos. Known for hits like, "Ella Y Yo," "Obsesión" and "Los Infieles," they are considered one of the biggest and most influential Latin groups of all time.

The group formed in 1994 and enjoyed global success. In 2007, they became the first bachata group to perform and sell out Madison Square Garden. Later that year, they released their third studio album, "Kings of Bachata: Sold Out at Madison Square Garden" which featured other Latin artists like Don Omar and Wisin and Yandel.

In 2009, their fifth and final studio album, "The Last" debuted at number one on Billboard's Top Latin Albums Chart. Later that same year "Dile Al Amor," the fourth single from "The Last" peaked at number one on the Hot Latin Songs chart.

The group disbanded to pursue solo projects in 2011. Sporadic reunions, appearances and concerts followed. In 2021, they collaborated with Bad Bunny on "Volvi" which reached the number 11 spot on Billboard's Global 200 list.

Presale tickets for the "Cerrando Ciclos" tour will be available on March 14 at 12 p.m. via Ticketmaster. Fans are able to use the code, "Aventura." The general onsale will begin on March 15 at 12 p.m.

ABOUT THE GROUP

Originally starting as a bachata band, Aventura's music incorporates elements of urban, pop, and R&B, setting them apart in the genre. Aventura gained popularity in the early 2000s with hits like "Obsesión," "Un Beso," and "El Perdedor," which helped propel them to international fame. Their songs often revolve around themes of love, heartbreak, and urban life, resonating with audiences worldwide.

Throughout their career, Aventura released several successful albums, including "We Broke the Rules" and "The Last," which earned them critical acclaim and multiple awards. Their innovative fusion of bachata with contemporary sounds helped redefine the genre and attract a diverse fan base.

After achieving immense success as a group, Aventura took a hiatus in 2011 to pursue solo projects. However, they reunited in 2019 for a series of concerts and released new music, delighting fans with their long-awaited return to the stage.

Bags are not permitted at Kia Center events. Guests are permitted to bring one small clutch that is 4.5" x 6.5" x 1" or less. Medical and parent bags (max. 14" x 14" x 6") are exceptions but will be subject to X-ray at designated locations for entry to Kia Center.
