Bigg Boss 16 finale: Rapper MC Stan has won the sixteenth season of the Salman Khan-hosted show Bigg Boss with Shiv Thakare as the first runner-up. The season began with a bang in October. The Bigg Boss 16 finalists were Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Shalin Bhanot, Shiv Thakare, Archana Gautam, and MC Stan.

The finale was packed with some great performances by the finalists. Actor-comedian Krushna Abhishek brought the fun element to the finale with his perfect comic timing. Salman released the first song of his upcoming movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan during the finale and Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel also promoted their film Gadar 2.

MC Stan took home the glamorous Bigg Boss 16 winner’s trophy, cash prize of Rs 31,80,000 and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.

“I was a kid, probably in 7th grade, when I felt like I'd become a rapper because I didn't have many other fancy aspirations and I knew I was never cut out for the corporate job life," MC Stan said about becoming a rapper. He was crowned the Bigg Boss 16 winner.

Salman Khan lauded Priyanka Chahar Choudhary's fortitude after she was evicted from Bigg Boss 16. She lost the winner's trophy to MC Stan. Here's what Salman said about Priyanka on Bigg Boss 16 stage. 

Krushna Abhishek asked Salman Khan about his Pathaan scene where he was seen discussing their heirs apparent with Shah Rukh Khan. In the meta scene, the two dismiss a number of people before saying, "Bachchon pe nahi chhod sakte." Krushna asked Salman during Bigg Boss 16 about the people they were discussing in the scene. Salman laughed and refused to comment. 

While talking to Shalin Bhanot on Bigg Boss 16 stage, Salman Khan spoke about being single at 57. While Shalin said he has learnt many things from the superstar, including staying unmarried, Salman replied, "Apni marzi se nahin hu."

MC Stan's win has left many stunned. A section of users have been targeting Bigg Boss 16, calling the show biased as they claimed Priyanak Chahar Choudhary deserved to win.

It seems Salman Khan ensured the Bigg Boss 16 participants had a celebratory night after the grand finale. The actor was seen leaving the sets at 7 am on Monday.

Talking about defeating his bestie, his brother  Shiv Thakare , MC Stan said that it did ‘hurt a bit’. “I know it was his dream, thus I did feel a little bad. However, every 16 contestants in the house deserved to win the show. Shiv is a brother and I think it was just a matter of a few votes that I won. Ankit Gupta said he is proud of Priyanka Chahar Choudhary but he would have loved to see her pick up the trophy. 

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who was the most-loved contestant of Bigg Boss 16, is out of the race to win the coveted trophy. Priyanka joined Bigg Boss 16 after her Colors show Udaariyan wrapped up. Her character Tejo Sandhu made her a household name. 

Divine, Badshah, Emiway Bantai, Karan Aujla, Seedhe Maut, Ikka, Raftaar and Munawar Faruqui support MC Stan as they convey their messages through a video.

'Mandli' aka Shiv, Nimrit, Sajid, Abdu, Stan and Sumbul danced together on the set of Bigg Boss 16. They danced on songs like, 'woh sikandar hi doston', 'yeh ladka hai deewana' and many others. Next, Archana Gautam dances on 'Khallas' while she says one should learn to play solo. Shalin also dances on 'Character Dheela Hai'. Priyanka's dance steps leave the audience cheering for her.

Shalin Bhanot thanks his parents for the standing ovation. He also jokes that he's learnt something from host Salman Khan and plans on being single throughout his life. Salman quips he's not single by choice!

Ekta Kapoor offers Shalin Bhanot her next show, Bekaaboo as the main lead. Shalin gets happy to listen to the offer and says he is ready to go to the show's set right now. 

Shalin Bhanot is the first finalist to get evicted from the show. The housemates were told that if they get the name of the finalist who will be the first one to get eliminated right, the prize money will be increased by Rs 10 lakhs and will to Rs 3,80,000. All of them get into a discussion and ultimately take Shalin's name and they are proved right as he ends up in the fifth position. Read more. Now the top four finalists are Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Shiv Thakare, MC Stan and Archana Gautam. 

Archana Gautam showcases her love for Bigg Boss in her dance performance. She dances on the songs, "Hawa Hawai" and "Anarkali Disco Chali." 

Archana Gautam says MC Stan has a crush on Priyanka Chahar Choudhary but Stan refuses it. She also tells Salman that she has left things of the past in past and has no hard feelings for anyone. Salman Khan praised Archana for winning hearts with variety and range in her performance. 

MC Stan and Sajid Khan imitate Sumbul's father. While Stan was doing it, her father appeared on the stage. This made Stan nervous and he immediately apologised to him. He said he was just joking and Salman Khan couldn't control his laughter.

Salman Khan pulls Shalin and Tina's legs. Salman tells Tina that Shalin talked to her bed after she was evicted from the Bigg Boss 16 house. 

The winner of Bigg Boss 16 will be given Rs 21 lakh and a car. 

All five finalists, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Shiv Thakare, MC Stan, Shalin Bhanot and Archana Gautam are surprised to see their mothers inside the house. After meeting their mothers, they get to meet Salman Khan via the TV. 

Salman Khan enters the stage of Bigg Boss 16. He expresses gratitude towards the audience for showering love on the show. Next, we move inside the house where Bigg Boss tries to give voice to the thoughts of the five finalists -- Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Shiv Thakare, MC Stan, Shalin Bhanot and Archana Gautam. 

It's time to meet Salman Khan who has returned to the show after two weeks. Before he arrives on the show, Bharti and Krushna give a recap of the entire show. 

Krushna Abhishek returns as Dharmendra and creates some hilarious moments along with Bharti Singh. He later credits Sajid Khan for being who he is today.  

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary says Archana Gautam lies often and did a lot of acting for the cameras. She also answers Bharti's question, "Whether you will choose to do a film with Salman Khan or marry Ankit Gupta?" She chooses the film and says marriage can happen later. Ankit also agrees and says there is no rush to get married.

Krushna and Bharti imitate Shalin and Tina. Krushna makes fun of the way Shalin walks. Bharti makes fun of Shalin being close to Tina, Sumbul and Soundarya. They poke fun at Shalin and Tina for faking their fights just for "footage". 

Archana says the three kitchen items that describe MC Stan are ginger, spinach, and radish. She says he should learn to listen and learn after he leaves the Bigg Boss house. MC Stan says Archana can say anything to get attention on the cameras. 

Abdu Rozik will grace the Bigg Boss 16 stage dressed as Sunny Deol from Gadar. He will also dance on “Ghar Aaja Pardesi”. He will also gift Sakina a Taj Mahal miniature. Sunny Deol will make Abdu Rozik say the famous dialogue ‘Hindustan zindabaad tha, zindabaad hai, zindabaad rahega'. Everyone will also dance on “Yaara O yaara.”

Shiv and Priyanka tell each other's shortcomings. Priyanka describes Shiv as, "shaatir (clever), selfish and badtameez (ill-mannered)". Shiv says Priyanka is jealous of Nimrit and hates her. Priyanka and Shiv get into a war of words. 

Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh give voice to the unspoken thoughts of the contestants. They share the thoughts of Soundarya and Archana and Shiv and Sajid. They also do it for Priyanka and Ankit and leave all the contestants in splits.

Former contestant Abdu Rozik performs with Nimrit Kaur, Soundarya Sharma and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary on his song "Chota Bhaijaan".

Shalin Bhanot, Archana Gautam, Shiv Thakare, Priyanka Chahar and MC Stan play musical chairs. Every time one of them is eliminated from the game, they are given a punishment by Bharti and Krushna. Shalin is made to act like a rooster. When MC Stan is ousted, 'mandali' shouts that Priyanka is cheating and she has to leave the game. Next, MC Stan is eliminated. He is made to rap while wearing a mouth frame. Archana won the game. 

Earlier, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, who was a popular contestant on the show, had been evicted just a few days prior to the finale.

Speaking to Indian Express, she had said, "I have grown up as a person. I took up the show because I wanted the world to see me for who I am, and not just as the character. The good, bad and ugly, I wanted them to be able to know me as a human. Since I cannot be calculative at all, I did not unnecessarily attempt to be someone else and I am proud of myself,” she shared. About Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who was said to be her rival, Nimrit said that it was the case of ‘two people not vibing together’. She shared that it was the ‘mandali’ that helped her enjoy her stint on the show.

With just a few days left for the grand finale, Bigg Boss 16 contestants are reminiscing their journey in the house. The fights, the tasks and the heart-to-heart conversations they had with each other are being replayed for each one of the five finalists. In a promo video of the TV reality show, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is seen getting emotional after watching her journey video. That's not all. She is also praised by Bigg Boss for always voicing her opinion in the house. Bigg Boss can be heard saying in the promo clip that even though the actress walked inside the house with her friend, actor Ankit Gupta, most of the time, she was alone. “ Bohot himmat, bohot clarity of thought, bohot atmavishwas lagta hai, Priyanka, nazariya danke ki chot par sabke samne, sabke muh par bolne ke liye (You need a lot of courage, clarity of thought and confidence to speak your thoughts in front of everyone),” Bigg Boss added. In the journey video, Priyanka Choudhary is also described as the most clever person in the Bigg Boss house, who is “not a follower but a leader.”

“ Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, aap ki awaaz gharwalon ko pasand ho na ho, lekin dilon tak zaroor pahuch chuki hai. Jab jab Bigg Boss 16 ka naam liya jaayega, aap ki awaaz logon ke zehan mein zarur aayegi (it doesn't matter if the other members in the house don't like your voice, it has reached the hearts of your fans. Whenever Bigg Boss 16 will be discussed, your voice will have a special mention),” said Bigg Boss in the clip. Hearing this, Priyanka got overwhelmed and smiled with all her heart.

Shiv Thakare’s Bigg Boss 16 Journey To Be Captured In His Music Video ‘Aai Shappat’

Shiv Thakare, known for participating in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 16’, has collaborated with music composer Mayur Jumani for the one-minute music video ‘Aai Shappat’, which captures his journey on the reality show.

While MC Stan lifted the trophy on ‘Bigg Boss 16’, Shiv emerged as the first runner-up.

Shiv Thakare shared a friendly bond with Abdu Rozik and a close bond with Nimrit Kaur on the show. The video captures a few of his catchwords also.

Talking about the peppy track, Shiv Thakare said: “One day I got a call from Mayur, he said I have made this song called ‘Aai Shapphat’ which captures your ‘Bigg Boss season 16’ journey, can you meet and discuss the same? I always appreciate and respect people around me. So I took time and went to meet him and when I listened to what he had made, I was so happy and felt blessed about it.”

Shiv has also participated in reality shows like MTV’s Roadies Rising’, ‘Bigg Boss Marathi 2’, and recently became a guest commentator in one of the matches of IPL 2023 between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals.

Sharing more about his collaboration with Mayur, Shiv said: “I know Mayur. He is a very creative person and does make such things. In one minute, he has shown my full journey of Bigg Boss, from words like ‘Aai Shappath’, ‘Aai Cha Gawat’, ‘O Mandali’ to love from people and Ganpati Bappa. He just asked me for my time to shoot the video.”

Talking about what he liked about the video, Bigg Boss 16 finalist said: “The way I was portrayed in it.”

“The way he presented Shiv Thakare I really enjoyed watching it and people also loved it. Within an hour of posting it, people started sharing, liking, and commenting on it. Also, it has gone viral to the extent that people have started calling me and complimenting me personally,” Shiv said.

Praising Mayur, he said: “While shooting for the video also, Mayur was so concerned about me. He keeps asking me whether I am comfortable with certain dance steps or not.”

Bigg Boss 16: Trophy and Prize Money

Bigg Boss 16 winner will get a glittering trophy that will look like a gold unicorn. Initially, the prize money was Rs 50 lakh which came down to zero at one point. Now, the winner will get Rs 21 lakh and 80 thousand as the prize money. Along with this, the winner will also get a swanky car - Grand i10 Nios.

While the Bigg Boss 16 winner will be announced on Sunday, social media prediction claims that TV actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will take the trophy home while Shiv Thakare will be the first runners-up. However, nothing is confirmed or announced yet.

Mannara Chopra’s journey on Bigg Boss was quite a ride, landing her in the finals. During her time there, she didn’t mention her sisters, Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. In a recent chat, Mannara explained why she kept mum about them and shared her admiration for her sister Priyanka’s success. She said during a chat with Siddharth Kannan that if she mentioned her family, people might have accused her of nepotism.

“If I would take my family’s name, they would have called me a nepo kid. They would have said that I don’t have a personality. Now that I didn’t take their names, they created another story that I my relationship with my sisters is not good. My relations are very sorted. I am a very loving child and I have learned this from my mother,” she said.

When Mannara was a teenager, her cousin sister Priyanka Chopra won the Miss India title. Talking about how Priyanka’s journey impacted her, Mannara said, “She had a strong impact on all the cousins. She has always projected herself as a strong and independent woman. I looked up to her while growing up because I noticed how she could buy things on her own. She could stay in the best of the places, do whatever she wants, and rule the world according to her terms. That was something I imbibed from her. That was something that got inside me.”

But when Mannara expressed her interest in acting, Priyanka advised her to prioritise education. “When I showed interest in acting and creative arts very early in my life, I was probably in Class 11, Priyanka didi told my mother that I needed to finish my education. She said education is the base for everything. Even in the Bigg Boss house, when they talked to me in particular manner, I used to think, ‘Do you know what my qualification is?’ I have never been in fights,” she said.
