Jerusalem is a city in the Middle East, located on a plateau in the Judaean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. It is one of the oldest cities in the world, and is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Bethlehem is a Palestinian town south of Jerusalem in the West Bank. The biblical birthplace of Jesus, it’s a major Christian pilgrimage destination. The birth is marked by an inlaid silver star in a grotto under the 6th-century Church of the Nativity, which shares Manger Square with the 15th-century Church of St. Catherine and the 1860 Mosque of Omar.

Mount of Olives

The Mount of Olives or Mount Olivet is a mountain ridge east of and adjacent to Jerusalem’s Old City. It is named for the olive groves that once covered its slopes. The southern part of the Mount was the Silwan necropolis, attributed to the ancient Judean kingdom.

Nazareth is a city in Israel with biblical history. In the old city, the domed Basilica of the Annunciation is, some believe, where the angel Gabriel told Mary she would bear a child. St. Joseph’s Church is said to be the site of Joseph’s carpentry workshop. The underground Synagogue Church is reputedly where Jesus studied and prayed. Nazareth Village, an open-air museum, reconstructs daily life in Jesus’ era.

Capernaum was a fishing village established during the time of the Hasmoneans, located on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee. It had a population of about 1,500. Archaeological excavations have revealed two ancient synagogues built one over the other

Zion is a placename often used as a synonym for Jerusalem as well as for the biblical Land of Israel as a whole. The word is first found in 2 Samuel 5:7 which dates from c. 630–540 BCE according to modern scholarship. It originally referred to a specific hill in Jerusalem, located to the south of Mount Moriah

The Jordan River or River Jordan is a 251-kilometre-long river in the Middle East that flows roughly north to south through the Sea of Galilee and on to the Dead Sea. Jordan and the Golan Heights border the river to the east, while the West Bank and Israel lie to its west.

  MAY 04 2023, Day 3 - Amman-Nazareth-Tiberias

Take Breakfast checkout and Proceed to Sheik Hussain Bridge to cross the border and complete the customs, emigration formalities and enter Israel. Visit Nazareth, the boyhood town of Jesus and the Basilica of the Annunciation, where Archangel Gabriel appeared to announce that St.Mary ‘s well Mary would bear a son. Visit St’ Joseph’s Workshop and Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle, of changing water into wine at the wedding feast. Check in at Hotel and have dinner overnight at King Solomon at Tiberius or similar.

  MAY 05 2023, Day 4 - Sea of Galilee–Capernaum–Jordan River–Nazareth /Bethlehem

Take breakfast and proceed to visit Mount Tabor, Capernaum (the centre of Jesus’ ministry after he left Nazareth), Tabgha (the Five Loaves and Two Fishes) and the Church of the Beatitudes, where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount. Drive through Galilee, and ride in a Galilean fishing boat. Visit St’Peter’s house, the Church of Primacy of Peter, and Mensa Christi. Have lunch at restaurant. Visit Yardenit situated on the Jordan River, the traditional Baptismal site. Have dinner in hotel at Bethlehem. White Diamond, Bethlehem or Similar.

  MAY 06 2023, Day 5 - Old City Of Jerusalem–Golgotha–Wailing Wall–Ein Karem – Jericho- Bethlehem

Take breakfast and proceed to the pools of Beit Hasda, where Jesus cured the crippled man. Walk Via Dolorosa (Way of Grief), the last route trodden by Jesus. Follow the 14 Stations of the Cross to Golgotha. Last 5 stations are inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher visible from a distance with two silver domes. Visit Pilate’s Judgment Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation( where the Roman soldiers scourged Jesus and placed a crown of thorns on His head), the Ecce Homo Arch, Convent of the Sisters of Zion, “The Tomb” (widely believed to be the part of the stone that covered Jesus Tomb). Visit the Cenacle – Last Supper Room, tomb of King David, Wailing Wall, which is the holiest place for the Jewish religion. Have lunch then visit Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist, and the Church of Visitation. Proceed to Dead Sea, where we stop at a private beach. It is the lowest spot on earth and do not miss the opportunity to float in the salty buoyant water, rich in minerals. Move to Bethania, the Town of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Visit Lazarus’s Tomb. Visit Jericho, Mount of Temptation and Sycamore Tree. It is the place where Jesus stopped on the way to Jerusalem on the Eve of the Passover, and where Jesus cured the blind man during his stay at Zachaeus house. Proceed to Bethlehem. Have dinner and overnight at Bethlehem. White Diamond, Bethlehem or Similar.

  MAY 07 2023, Day 6 - Mount of Olives-Gethsemane – Bethlehem

Have breakfast at Hotel visit Church of Nativity & attend morning special prayer. Proceed to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the sanctuary of Pater Noster Ascension. Walk along the Palm Sunday road down to the chapel of Dorminous Flevit (where Jesus wept over the destruction of Jerusalem) and Garden of Gethsemani. (Where Jesus prayed while Judah betrayed him to the Romans). Visit the Basilica of agony, Tomb of St. Mary, Church of St. Peter of Gallicantu, (which symbolizes Peter’s denial of Jesus) and visit the traditional house of High Priest, Caiaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned. Move to Bethlehem and visit the Shepherd’s field, in the Judah province. Have lunch and visit City of David, Manger Square,Crusaders Cloister, Grotto of St. Jerome and the Milk Grotto. Have dinner at Bethlehem. White Diamond, Bethlehem or Similar.

  MAY 08 2023, Day 7 - Taba (Israel) –Sinai(Egypt)

Early morning 0500 Am Check-out & proceed to Taba. Enter into Egypt after formalities. Proceed to Sinai. Visit St’ Catherine Monastery, Claiming the beautiful and historical Sinai Mountains. Where god given, Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments. It has been one of the world’s great centers of religious pilgrimage for over fifteen centuries. It has a library of ancient manuscripts, second only to the Vatican and a 6th century church on the site of the Burning Bush. Afterwards proceed to Dinner and overnight Taba Straight, Taba at Sinai or similar.

  MAY 09 2023, Day 8 - Sinai – Suez canalCairo

Have breakfast and proceed to Cairo. Have lunch at Restaurant. En route to Cairo, we cross the famous Suez Canal. Evening visit board a cruise at River Nile and dinner on board. Enjoy the shows on board. Check in to Hotel and have dinner at Cairo. Pyramids Park, Cairo. Or similar.

The tour went very smoothly. Adjustments were made appropriately to itineraries due to traffic conditions or time constraints, transport was comfortable and efficient, the guides were all informative and (mostly!) sensitive and the hotels looked after us well. We all enjoyed the food!

My time spent there was perhaps the most influential thing I’ve ever done, it has greatly ignited my passion for social justice and encouraged me to advocate for the ‪injustice of this conflict as much as I can.

Biblical theme park in Kerala gives you the Holy Land experience

Thiruvananthapuram: There has been a spurt in the number of Indian visitors to the Holy Land with Keralites accounting for a major share of Christian pilgrims there. A replica of sites mentioned in the Bible has come up on a three-acre property at Peringur, near Vembayam. It features a model of the Garden of Eden and the Mount of Olives from where Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven. Brother Mathews Varghese is the man behind this unique project and he has been at it for a long time.

This Bible theme park was inaugurated by Rev Issac Mor Osthathios, the Metropolitan of Mylapore Diocese in Tamil Nadu, the other day.

The many Biblical texts and objects Varghese had bought on his travels around the world are also displayed in what Mathews calls 'Museum of Word'.

Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple – a magnificent shrine with rich history and a controversy

The museum has more than 300 translations of Bible, including handwritten ones, those made with ancient paper and on animal skin. Gold coins engraved with images of the Bible are another attraction. His collection includes Torah scrolls and pocket bibles.

The museum also houses previously unseen images from biblical stories and several types of crucifixes from around the world.

There are models of crown of thorns, nails put through Jesus, 30 silver coins and stamps and coins depicting history of Christianity in the museum. Models of Christ’s tomb and resurrection are also installed.

The museum is open for visitors from 12pm to 5pm on Sundays and 9am to 5pm on other days.

The models were created for those who cannot visit the Holy Land themselves, Varghese said.

He has translated the Bible into 30 languages. He has written more than 400 songs.

Mathews, who worked in the medical sector in the Gulf, entered the spiritual world unexpectedly. He is involved with prayer groups world over.

Wife Raji and children Ajay, Viji, and Reji accompany him on his tours.

July and August are the peak season due to school vacations in most of the countries, weather will be hot during this season. April and May are the best season as the weather will be pleasant during this period. Weather is pleasant in October and November, but this period will be peak season due to holidays in Israel .December is less crowded with pleasant weather, but it might rain occasionally. June is also a good time to visit, Off Season period is from November to February excluding Christmas and New Year Weeks.

Holy Land Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival - Amman

Meet our representative onyour arrival in Amman.Later transfer to hotel. Dinner and Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Madaba is located 30 Km away from Amman. The city of Mosaics is famous for its collection of Byzantine and Umayyad artwork, the main attraction of Madaba is a Byzantine mosaic depicting a map of the Holy Land. Mount Nebo : located 10 Km North west of Madaba, opposite the Dead Sea Mount Nebo is Considered as one of the most revered holy sites in Jordan. This place is mentioned in the Bible as the place where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. One can enjoy the stunning views of Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea from an elevated platform in front of the Church. Sheikh Hussein Bridge : also known as 'Jordan River Crossing', is the border crossing between Jordan and Israel It was opened in 1994. Complete the emigration and customs formalities to proceed to Israel. After Lunch visit Nazreth, mentioned as the childhood home of Jesus and home of Joseph and Mary. Also visit Basilica of the Annunciation, where Archangel Gabriel appeared and announced to Mary that she would give birth to Jesus. Also visit Joseph’s workshop and later move to Cana the place where Jesus performed his first Miracle of changing the water into wine at a wedding feast. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel.

Today after breakfast at hotel proceed to visit Mount Tabor, Capernaum the centre town of Jesus and stop at Tabgha - the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish. Later proceed to the The Church of the Multiplication of the loaves and fish. later visit the Church of the Beatitudes, the place where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount. Later rive through Galilee, and ride in a Galilean fishing boat. Also visit Peter's house, the Church of Primacy of Peter and Mensa Christi. Drive to a restaurant for lunch and then visit Yardenit on the Jordan River, a baptism site located along the Jordan River. Later proceed to visit Jericho, Mount of Temptation and famous Sycamore Tree, the place where Jesus stopped to cure the blind man during his visit to Zachaeus house. Later move to Bethlehem. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Have Breakfast at hotel and proceed to Ein Ein Karem, the Birthplace of John the Baptist. Later visit Beit Hasda, where Jesus cured the crippled man and Walk through the Via Dolorosa -Way of Grief, traditionally acknowledged as the last route trodden by Jesus. Follow the 14 Stations of the Cross to Golgotha, place where Jesus was crucified. Also Visit the Pilate's Judgments Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation, the place where the Roman soldiers scourged Jesus and placed a crown of thorns on His head, the Ecce Homo Arch and the Convent of the Sisters of Zion. Later View the last 5 Stations of the Cross inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Also Visit Golgotha & the Tomb of Jesus Christ and then proceed to Wailing Wall, regarded as a very sacred place to Jewish people. Have lunch at restaurant and move to the best beach in the Dead Sea, this spot is the lowest spot on Earth. Enjoy floating in the salty water rich in minerals. Later move to Bethania, the Town of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Later proceed to visit Lazarus’s Tomb. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Have Breakfast at hotel and Proceed to Mount of Olives for a magnificent panoramic view of Jerusalem. Later Proceed to visit the sanctuary of Pater Noster Ascension. Walk along the Palm Sunday road down to the chapel of Dorminous Flevit, the place where Jesus wept over the destruction of Jerusalem. Also visit Garden of Gethsemani, the place where Jesus prayed while Judah betrayed him to the Romans. Later move to the Basilica of agony, Tomb of St. Mary. Then proceed to the Cenacle – Last Supper Room, the tomb of King David, Church of St. Peter of Gallicantu, the important spot which symbolizes Peter's denial of Jesus as he has prophesied at the Last Supper. Later move to visit the traditional house of High Priest, Caiaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned for some time. Later proceed to Bethlehem to visit the Shepherd’s field and then have Lunch at Restaurant. After lunch move to the Church of Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus and the City of David, Manager Square, Crusaders Cloister, Grotto of St. Jerome and the Milk Grotto. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Check out from hotel after breakfast and Proceed to Taba. Stop at restaurant for lunch. Proceed to Egypt after completing the formalities. Move to hotel and check in at hotel. Later proceed to Red Sea and enjoy the beach activities. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.

Have Breakfast and check out from hotel to proceed to visit Sinai Mountains –the place where Moses is believed to have received the Ten Commandments. Later proceed to Visit St Catharine monastery, Burning Bush, Mosses well. Have Lunch at restaurant and proceed to Cairo. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Today after Breakfast proceed to visit the old churches of Cairo and Egyptian Museum. Later in the evening enjoy a cruise on the River Nile. Have dinner and enjoy the shows on board. Overnight stay at hotel.

Check out from hotel after breakfast. Proceed to visit Egyptian Pyramids and Sphinx then drive to airport for return journey.

Once the tour itinerary is accepted you can confirm the booking after paying a minimum amount of 25 % of the total Package Cost. Upon receiving the booking amount My India Travels will start the booking process. If the proposed hotels and flights are not available at the time of booking, we will inform you the options available and ask for your approval before confirmation of booking. If you are not satisfied with the other options My India Travels will refund your full amount. After securing the booking My India Travels will mail you the confirmation details and invoice for balance payment. Once we receive the balance amount we will mail you the final confirmation letter.

Jordan & Egypt Uncovered

I had a great guide in Jordan, helpful and knowledgeable without information overload. Unfortunately the Egypt guide was the polar opposite and had us standing in full sun for an hour while he prattled on. The ferry from Jordan to Egypt was 9 hrs overdue and as your on your own you have no idea whats happening, this was frightening. Overall good content enjoyed the trip but would recommend doing a deluxe over this basic as everything is budget and at times uncomfortable and dirty.

Totally Jordan - 8 Days

It was excellent in that it covered all the main sites, although this also meant it was rushed at times. It was very unfortunate that we were unable to trek the Wadi Mujib gorge due to ongoing repair on the rope ladders etc.

Heritage of the Holy Land

Thoroughly recommend this tour. The itinerary covered everything we wanted to see. All the arrangements worked ike clockwork, our guide was absolutely fantastic! Only criticism would be the choice of hotels, the food was buffet style, never hot and finished by 7.30 to 8 so very early nights. Not really 4 star. But that’s only a minor point, overall it was one of the best holidays I have had. Thank you Tourrader!

Israel the Holy Land

There is so much to see and absorb that some days were just too jam-packed. In particular, the Jerusalem day started out on the Mount of Olives and by the end of the day, everyone was completely exhausted and suffering from information overload. It was all relevant and interesting but simply too much for one day.

Mo was an excellent tour leader in that he has such passion and enthusiasm about Jordan. I learnt so much about the history and culture and so enjoyed all of the activities. Mo went over and beyond to ensure my dietary needs were met as I have coeliac disease which was much appreciated. Highly recommend this tour.

We had the most amazing guide Leah Dor and the best driver Hassan they both was so lovely, accomodating and went out their way to be so helpful and gave us some extra nice suprises throughout the tour. Everything was a good pace, never rushed and saw so much place and Leah was an expert with knowledge. Transfer drivers was on time when arrived plus to leave. Reliable company and organised well. Only thing, if you want to visit where Jesus was born inside the church, there is a big que and it is not part of this tour as this is just the highlights, they visit the church but not to que for certain things like that which many was not aware of so read the intinary clearly

I loved the Heritage of the Holy Land tour. Our tour guide Leah was very knowledgeable and informative. Our bus driver Hassam was very good about navigating the narrow streets with a tour bus. We all became like family by the end of the week.

Day 3 – MONDAY From Tel Aviv / Jaffa to the Sea of Galilee, Mediterranean coast and the Valley of Armageddon Caesarea / Mt. Carmel / Megiddo / Nazareth / Sea of Galilee / Tiberias In the morning visit to the Old Town Jaffa , walk through the narrow passages of Old Jaffa, believed to be the oldest port city in the world and where cedars from Lebanon arrived to build Solomon's Temple ( 2 Chronicles 2:16 ), see St. Peter's Church and take a spectacular view of Tel Aviv Shoreline from Jaffa Hilltop. Peter came to Jaffa (Joppa) from Lydda to raise Tabitha (Dorcas) from the dead (Acts 9:36-43) . While in Jaffa, the apostle stayed at the house of Simon the Tanner . St. Peter's Church  marks the traditional site of Peter’s vision of the Great Sheet (Acts 10:9-16) . Depart Tel Aviv driving north along the coastal plain to Caesarea Maritima (Acts 9:30 Acts 10:24-48) which was the center of early Christians, and capital of Judea under the Romans. Visit the excavations of this ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct, here where Paul made his defense before Festus and King Agrippa prior to his final journey to Rome (Acts 25-26) . We'll stop at Mount Carmel (Muchraka) , where Elijah issued his challenge to the False Prophets (1 Kings 18:16-24) . We continue and enjoy a breath taking panoramic view of Haifa Bay and the Western Galilee region. Continue to Megiddo (Joshua 12:21, 1 Kings 9:15, 2 Kings 23:29 & Revelation 16:16) , the site of Armageddon (Revelation 16) where it is prophesied the gathering of the armies for the end of times will take place. See the remains from Solomon’s days, view the valley where the Battle of Armageddon will be fought (Revelation 16:14-16) . Visit the archaeological excavations at Megiddo , including the well preserved water supply system. Continue along the Jezerel Valley to visit the town of Nazareth (Luke 1:26, Luke 4:16, Luke 4:29 & Matthew 2:23) we will take a beautiful view from the top of Mount Precipice , also known as Mount of Precipitation , or Mount of the Leap of the Lord . It's believed to be the site of the rejection of Jesus (Luke 4:29 Luke 4:30) , continue to the Basilica of Annunciation the church and site that celebrates the news from Gabriel that Mary would give birth to Jesus (Luke 1) . If time permits, and we'll drive to Cana of Galilee where Jesus performed his first public miracle, the turning of water into wine at the wedding feast (John 2:1 John 2:11) , and the Lower Galilee region to the beautiful Sea of Galilee to the town of Tiberias . The hotels situated right on town’s center and the shores of the Sea of Galilee make it possible to walk along the shores of the Sea of Galilee and explore the town of Tiberias. Day 4 - TUESDAY Sea of Galilee, the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights Magdala / Sail the Sea of Galilee / Jesus Boat / Golan Heights / Upper Galilee / Caesarea Philippi / St. Peter's Fish Lunch / Yardenit We begin this Holy Land touring day with a visit to Magdala (Matthew 15:39) , known as the home of Mary Magdalene. Here we'll explore a first century Jewish city where Jesus' healed the afflicted, and the oldest excavated synagogue in the Galilee from the time of Jesus' ministry where surely he taught. After we board a wooden boat and sail on as the disciples did 2,000 years ago on the Sea of Galilee where the Lord calmed the storm (Luke 8:22-25) , and where He made one of the most dramatic miracles, walking on water (Mark 6:47-52) , and it was here along the shores of the Sea of Galilee where Jesus appeared for a third time after being raised from the dead, and asked his disciples to throw their net to the right side of the boat and caught many fish, and where the Lord made the disciples breakfast  (John 21) . We'll dock at Kibbutz Nof Ginosar and visit the " Ancient Jesus Boat " the remains of a 2,000 years old boat that was discovered in 1986. This boat was used at the time of Jesus and his disciples. We will drive to the beautiful Golan Heights . Visit Banias - ancient Ceasarea Philippi (Matthew 16:13 and Mark 8:27) where Jesus said “On this rock I will build my Church” (Matthew 16:18) . Continue to the Hula Valley and the Upper Galilee, returning to the Sea of Galilee and visit the baptismal site of Yardenit on the Jordan River, where believers celebrate and some take the opportunity to submerge themselves in the same waters where the Holy Spirit descended like a dove from heaven, when  John the Baptist baptized up out of the water Jesus (Matthew 3:13-17) . Overnight Sea of Galilee– including Full Buffet Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 5 – WEDNESDAY Jesus early Ministry along the Sea of Galilee, Jordan River Mount of Beatitudes / Tabgha / Capernaum / Beit She'an / Dead Sea Today we'll visit early Jesus Ministry around the Sea of Galilee, visiting Mount of Beatitudes (Matthew 5, Matthew 6, Matthew 7, Matthew 8) where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount , see the famous Church of the Beatitudes  chapel, constructed between 1936 and 1938 by the noted architect Antonio Barluzzi and enjoy the view. Visit Tabgha - the site of the Feeding of the 5,000 and Primacy of Peter (Matthew 13, Mark 33, Mark 45, & John 21) , Church of Multiplication with its 4th Century Mosaic floor, Capernaum ( Matthew 4:13, Matthew 13:54, Matthew 17:24, Luke 7, Mark 1:2, John 4:46 John 4:54) where is believed to have been Jesus' home and the center of his ministry, here we can stand in what is left of the synagogue in which Jesus ministered, and where he preformed many miracles, and it's in Capernaum where Peter’s mother-in-law lived and was healed (Luke 4:38-40) . Journey through the Valley of Beit She'an to the ancient city of Beit She'an (Mark 5:20, Mark 7:31) , view the archeological site. It was here that after defeating Saul and his sons on Mount Gilboa, the Philistines hanged their bodies on the walls of Beth Shean (2 Samuel 21:12-14) , continue through the Jordan Valley past the city of Jericho and arrive to the Dead Sea , the lowest place on earth. Check in at the hotel located at the shores of the Dead Sea, enjoy optional spa treatments and a massage, float on the salty water of the Dead Sea or enjoy a swim in your hotel pool. Day 6 – THURSDAY Dead Sea, Masada, Ein Gedi, Qumran, Judean Desert, Jerusalem Today on your Holy Land tour will visit the 1500 feet mountaintop fortress of Masada famous for being the last stronghold of the Jewish rebellion against the Romans. We will ascend to Masada by cable car and discover the first century Synagogue, King Herod’s Bathhouse and other sites atop of Masada, descend and continue to the oasis of Ein Gedi , where David hid in a cave when running from Saul (1 Samuel 23) , it was here that David composed several of his Psalms, next visit to Qumran where a cache of ancient biblical texts the Dead Sea Scroll were discovered in 1947. Continue to the Golden City of Jerusalem , and proceed to a panoramic view of Jerusalem from Mount Scopus , and take time for prayer. Continue to the hotel conveniently located within walking distance from the Old City Jerusalem. Overnight Jerusalem- including Full Buffet Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 7 - FRIDAY Old Jerusalem, Temple Mount in Jesus times, Mount of Olives / Kidron Valley / Garden of Gethsemane / Western Wall tunnels (Kotel Tunnels) / Pool of Bethesda / Church of Holy Sepulcher / Via Dolorosa / Christian Quarter From the top of Mount of Olives where the Lord ascended into heaven (acts 1) we will have a view across the Kidron Valley to the Eastern Gate where the prince of Peace will enter (Ezekiel 43) . We pass by Pater Noster Church standing on the traditional site of Christ's teaching of the Lord's Prayer (Luke 11:2-4) , and visit Dominus Flevit where "The Lord wept" as he beheld the Holy City (Luke 19:41-44) . Through Palm Sunday Road proceed down to the Gethsemane (Mark 14:32, John 18:1 & Matthew 26:36)  where you will see 2,000 year old Olive trees that date back to the time of Christ. In the Garden of Gethsemane the place that Jesus prays (Luke 22:39) and his disciples customarily visited, which allowed Judas to find him on that fateful night of his arrest (Luke 22:47-52) , and it's in Gethsemane where an angel from heaven appears to strengthen Jesus  (Luke 22:43) , and where he found his disciples sleeping and awakes them and tells them to get up and pray (Luke 22:46) . Then to the Western Wall - The holiest site in Judaism and one of the original walls that retained the Temple. We will visit the Western Wall Tunnels running along the base of the Western Wall will lead us through the Second Temple era and reveal the amazing construction of the Temple Mount , water supply and Roman street where our Lord was led to judgment. Continue to St. Anne Church and the Pool of Bethesda , where Jesus performed the famous miracle of healing of the paralytic (John 5) . We will walk the Stations of the Cross - the Via Dolorosa including Station 2 Judgment Hall of Pilate (John 18:33) , located at the Church of the Flagellation and Church of the Condemnation and Imposition of the Cross , all the way to the final Station 14 inside  Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Matthew 27, Matthew 33:57, Matthew 28:10) . In the afternoon you will enjoy time to shop the colorful bazaars (markets). We'll join the prayer at the Western Wall , and after return to the Hotel for Shabbat Dinner. Day 8 - SATURDAY Jerusalem Old and New City Mt. Zion / Upper Room / King David Tomb / Jewish Quarter / Ein Kerem / Bethlehem / Church of the Visitation/Church of the Nativity / Shepherd’s Field / Garden Tomb We begin the day going to Mount Zion , visit the Upper room (Luke 22) , Lord’s Supper, visit King David Tomb , and walk through the Jewish Quarter . Drive through the New City and pass the Knesset (Israel Parliament) and continue to Ein Karem , the birthplace of John the Baptist (Luke 1:57-80) , the one to announce the coming of the Lord (Isaiah 40:3) . Visit the Church of the Visitation which commemorates the visit made by Mary the mother of Jesus', to Elizabeth , the mother of John the Baptist (Luke 1:39-56) , then continue to Bethlehem where Joseph traveled there (Luke 2:1-7) with Mary whom was pregnant, and where Jesus was born (Matthew 2:1-5) , and visit the Church of Nativity . Proceed to see the Shepherd’s Field  where an angel appeared to announce the birth of Jesus (Luke 2:8-20) . In the afternoon visit The Garden Tomb , to celebrate the resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15, Luke 24:6-7, Mark 16:5-7) with a time for prayer. Enjoy a evening farewell dinner at the hotel. Day 9 - SUNDAY Enjoy free day in Jerusalem later in the day transfer to Ben Gurion airport according to your flight schedule After Breakfast, and by 12 noon, Check out from your hotel and store your luggage in the hotel storage room to enjoy a free day in Jerusalem.
