From start to finish the show was amazing but Marshall and kofi b were the standouts. I've never seen kofi b before but his performance and stage presence made me a new fan. Marsha is on another level as far as crowd chemistry and sheer talent. Musiq had a great vibe and his 2 background singers/ dancers were🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 definitely coming back.

Music for the Soul

Marsha Ambrosius was phenomenal. So engaging and she has a beautiful voice that speaks to the soul til this day. Musiq Soulchild still sings melodies that speak to one’s soul as well. Loved them both and have since the early 2000s. I still listen to them almost daily. Had a great experience in Akron. I am from Pittsburgh and the trip as well worth it.

The 29-city excursion kicks off January 27th in Las Vegas and extends into March visiting markets like San Francisco, Cleveland, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Detroit and Dallas. Joining the tour on select dates will be special guest Nyla. Back in 2017, the singer teamed up with Eric Benét for their M.E. Tour which consisted of 37 shows across America.

Ambrosius released her third studio album 'NYLA' on September 28th, 2018 Human Resources and eOne Music. The new album reached #18 on Billboard's Independent chart and follows up 2014's 'Friends & Lovers' . Her debut 2011 album 'Late Nights & Early Mornings' peaked at a career-best #2 on the Billboard 200. Back in 2015, she received a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional R&B Performance for 'As' along with Anthony Hamilton .

Marsha Ambrosius marks her return with Dr. Dre-produced "The Greatest"

M arsha Ambrosius is back. Today (Dec. 1), fans were able to check out her new single, “The Greatest,” which she produced alongside Dr. Dre with additional contributions from Dem Jointz, Focus…, Trevor Lawrence Jr., and Erik “Blu2th” Griggs. The track sees the British songstress pouring her heart out to a special someone.

“Are you scared of this love I have to give? Are you afraid there’s only one life to live? If we do this again, don’t pretend, you said the day I met you that you’d never let me go, enchanted by your passion, I’m enamored, got me wanting you, and the things you do to me, you’re by far the greatest of them all…”

The track serves as the lead single for Ambrosius’ long-awaited fourth studio LP, Casablanc o , a collaborative effort with Dre that was first revealed back in 2021. During the 2023 Soul Train Awards last Sunday (Nov. 26), she promised that the album would soon be arriving. “Check out the credits, Dr. Dre. That Casablanco on the way, a brand new classic about to hit,” she stated while taking part in the show’s Soul Cypher segment.

Marsha Ambrosius Returns With New Song ‘The Greatest’

It's the first single from her upcoming album, "casablanco.".

Marsha Ambrosius is back. The award-winning singer and songwriter has released her new single, “The Greatest,” via Aftermath Records/Interscope Records. 

She co-produced the track with Dr. Dre, Dem Jointz, Focus…, Trevor Lawrence Jr. and Erik “Bluetooth” Griggs.

On “The Greatest,” Ambrosius praises her partner as the zenith of the love she has ever experienced.

“And the things you do to me / You’re by far / The greatest of them all,” she sings on the hip-hop soul production, laced with cinematic strings and twinkling piano. 

Ambrosius’ new single arrives following her appearance at the 2023 Soul Train Awards . She participated in the Soul Cypher alongside Nicci Gilbert, Eric Bellinger and Arin Ray.

“The Greatest” is the first single from Ambrosius’ highly awaited new Dr. Dre-produced album, Casablanco. A release date has not been announced at this time.

She first teased the project in December 2021 via an Instagram post. 

“I had an amazing time!! This is some of my best work!!!” she wrote in an Instagram caption for a photo of her and Dr. Dre in a recording studio.

Casablanco  will follow Ambrosius’ 2018 album,  NYLA , named after her daughter. The album featured production by Harmony Samuels, The Stereotypes, Focus and more. 

Regarding Nyla , Ambrosius explained, “I had a lot of pent up energy, and channeling all of the energy into the music is what helped save my sanity. Poems turned into melodies and then a bunch of songs, which was like my personal therapy in a sense.”

She added, “From beginning to end, it’s me letting go of everything I wanted to let go of in my life and experiencing things all over again through Nyla’s eyes.”

On Dec. 5, Ambrosius will launch her mini tour in Chicago, Illinois. She will perform at City Winery locations across the U.S. through Dec. 18.
