NoDa Brewing Company

Unique production brewery in the Queen City’s NoDa neighborhood crafts small-batch premium beers, offering something for nearly every beer drinker. Beer styles showcase American Pale Ales, India Pale Ales and Porters plus renditions of classic varieties such as Stouts, Witbiers and Winter Warmers. Visit on Tuesday for the NoDable Series, where new recipes are sampled. Free brewery tours guided visitors through the brewing process from start to finish, stopping along the way to see, feel and smell the hops, grains and malts that go into our beers. No need to make reservations, just show up at least 5 minutes before the tour begins, grab a beer and enjoy. Approximate length of tour is 45 minutes. The taproom is open daily. Food trucks are onsite every day except Sunday.

As NoDa Brewing has expanded its footprint to three locations. It’s no surprise the brewery’s N. Tryon Street location is considered a local gem, as it provides 25-plus beers on tap at any given time while every Friday consists of live music, beer releases and brewery tours that continue into the weekend.

Length of Experience: Approximately 30 to 45 minutes

Group Size: 25 to 30 participants

Availability: The N. Tryon Street location is open seven days a week; tour times vary by day. Free weekly brewery tours fall on Fridays at 6 p.m., Saturdays at 2 and 4 p.m.; and Sundays at 3 p.m. No tour reservations are required; they are available on a first-come, first served basis.

NoDa Brewing Company’s Beer Tastings

One of Charlotte’s oldest homegrown microbreweries, NoDa Brewing Company is a unique production brewery that specializes in small-batch premium beers offering something for nearly every beer drinker. Groups are guided through the brewing process from start to finish, stopping along the way to see, feel and smell the hops, grains and malts that go into the beers. Pre-booked groups will be able to taste beer that is currently in fermentation tanks and compare side-by-side against the final product to understand the differences.

Length of Experience : 45 minutes−1 1/2 hours

Group Size : 15−99 participants. No minimum for leisure travelers.

Availability : Taproom open to the public seven days a week. Tour times vary by day. Thursday and Friday, 6 p.m.; Saturday, 4 p.m.; Sunday, 3 p.m. Reservations are required for groups larger than 15.

First time here. Kid-friendly and pet friendly. Had Mabry's que house food truck there. Got the pulled pork and brisket stuffed potatoes. Excellent. Fun and relaxing atmosphere. Recommend.

This was my 1st time at this brewery as there was two featured Vegan Food trucks. You can almost miss the location as it's in the back. It's the first building to the right after turning off Tryon. Great staff and customer service and they offer tours of the Brewery.They let you sample the drinks before you buy. You can bring the family and your pets. They even offer free doggie treats. There's a nice setup outside under a tent with many decorative lights so I'm sure it will be great vibe at night.

This is a really cool spot. The parking is a little confusing (it is behind the building that google routes you to!) but that adds to the experience rather than detracts from it. They have a great lineup of brews. Their flagship IPA is really good and for me is a standout from what you expect to be a flagship ipa. It isnt just a blast of hops - it has character and a hit of malt to go along with the hops. The folks behind the bar are easy to talk to and happy to help you find your ideal brew, and there is an ample selection of cans to-go if thats what youre looking for. Im not a big sour man, but they were fun to try and of course how could I not appreciate the Star Wars + Beer themed names like Boba Brett and Lacto Calrissian. If Im ever in Charlotte again, I would come back to NoDa. Cheers!!

Been here before pandemic and first time back. Plenty of room inside for social distancing even if restrictions have been lifted. Well run and clean. When I asked for a recommendation, the bartender has an option in mind right away for something I asked tasted like cider. They didn't have any cider options like some other breweries but it didn't matter since the beer he recommended was spot on. Had their passion fruit gose which tasted fruity and light. Always love the atmosphere here too. The ambience and lighting are warm and inviting. The staff are constantly working to either clean up empty glasses or assisting at the bar. Bathrooms were well stocked and clean when I went which was later in the evening.

NoDa Brewing Company opened its production and tap room doors in October of 2011 and offers a wide variety brews – from World Beer Cup award-winning IPAs, to funky sours and craft spiked seltzers, to knock-your-socks-off imperial stouts, and everything in between. NoDa regularly hosts brewery tours, live music, and trivia, among other forms of entertainment and activities; and offer space for special events. Outside the NoDa Brewing Company North End production facility in Charlotte, North Carolina

Opening its tap room doors in 2011, NoDa Brewing Company became one of Charlotte’s first craft breweries. Three short years later, Hop Drop ‘N Roll — their most popular IPA — took home the World Beer Cup Gold Award in the competition’s largest category.

This recognition propelled the brewery onto a national stage, and attributed to the quick expansion from a 15 BBL brewhouse in the NoDa neighborhood to a 60 BBL brewhouse in nearby North End.

Today, NoDa Brewing Company continues to brew award-winning beers, stand as a pillar of creativity and connection in the community, and add to the state’s thriving craft beer economy.

Our tap room is where our friends and neighbors can meet in a unique environment to enjoy the same quality brews in pints or flights as they do in local restaurants or bars. You can also take home crowlers, cans, and the occasional special release bomber. We look forward to having you stop by!

North End Taproom

Home to our main production facility, the North End location is the perfect family-friendly place to enjoy a gorgeous afternoon. Grab a beer and hang out in the beer garden, beat your friends at cornhole, jam out to the regularly-scheduled live music, or put your disc golf putting skills to the test.

The OG Taproom

The OG is the location that started it all. We’re proud of our humble beginning, and love showing it off. So much so, that we gave the place a makeover. The OG has long been home to our small batch and wild fermentation brews, but has recently opened its taproom doors once again – this time with an intimate, relaxed, “you wouldn’t look out of place wearing a smoking jacket” type of vibe.

Charlotte Brewery Tours, in-person or virtual: Explore a locally owned brewery! Includes food pairings. Please contact us for more information or to schedule a private tour.

Charlotte Pokemon Go Tours: Explore augmented reality through Pokemon Go, where the entire city is your playground! You’ll visit parks and historic landmarks to learn more about downtown (Uptown) and catch Pokemon with your Pokemon Guide. Fun for all ages and levels. Please download Pokemon Go in advance to get acquainted. Come play, catch, battle, and trade – and have so much fun. This tour is a little different. Taste Carolina’s food tour guide is also a Pokemon Go expert. While we recommend grabbing lunch at Orrman’s or Geno D’s in the Market at 7th Street beforehand, there is no food included on this tour.

Charlotte *NoDa* Tasting Tour: $99 (plus a $6 ticketing fee). Afternoon food and drink tours: 3pm, available every Saturday and on other days and times by request.

Charlotte Brewery Tours: These custom tours can be in-person or virtual. Please contact us for more information.

Charlotte Pokemon Go Tours: Contact us to schedule a private group any day of the week.

There are different meeting spots for the different tours . 

Check your confirmation email and messages for directions.

For most brunch and lunch tours: Meet near the back entrance of the 7th Street Public Market, near Assorted Table Wine Shop. The address is 224 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.

For most late afternoon/ evening tours: Meet at the “Disco Chicken ” sculpture, who, depending on the weather, sometimes prefers to be called “Firebird.” The sculpture is located in front of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, 420 S. Tryon St. in Uptown in Charlotte, 28202.

For most NoDa tours: Meet your guide outside of Local Loaf. The address is 800 E. 35th Street, Charlotte, NC 28205. Parking can be found in the neighborhood. Please make a note of where you are parked. Public transportation is available, but time your trip accordingly.

Please give yourself plenty of time to park and arrive on time. The 7th Street Parking Deck is usually available with spots. There are also parking lots along Graham Street and parking decks throughout Uptown.

Tours run rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes; walking distance is 2 to 3 miles. Tour runs 3 to 3.5 hours.

Please don’t be late! Meet the group 15 minutes prior to your tour time so that we can arrive at the restaurants promptly.

Bring a government-issued ID if you plan on drinking alcohol.
