Team Valle Baseball Player

I love Team Valle so much because I have learned so much over these past two years. Team Valle has turned me into a different person. Before Valle I was immature, I did not handle situations like an adult, and I was even a hot head. Thanks to my coaches, I have become a man. I have become much more mature and I am more responsible. The coaches love to help, they love to see us get better. They even get excited for us when we improve and that really motivates me to get better. I enjoy being able to come in whenever I want and hitting till my hands literally bleed. Without my teammates and my coaches, I would not be where I am today. I wear the Team Valle uniform very proudly and I would not trade it for anything in the world.

I enjoy playing for Team Valle a lot. I have played on many travel teams before, but never have I made so much progress in so little time. Also I like that everyone associated with the Valle team is a good person. The Valle team has chemistry like no other team I have ever been on. Another plus to being on Team Valle is that you feel like a big leaguer because of all the gear we get and the indoor cages we get to use. But the thing that I like the most is that I feel like we are a baseball family.

Being on Team Valle has been a great privilege and I'm very thankful for the opportunity. I really enjoy playing on Team Valle and the coaches that I have. Having a facility that I can just go in and practice my baseball is really awesome. I like that training and teaching I get. It has taught me so much more about baseball then I have ever known. I also like the teammates that I have and that I can get to know them, not just as baseball players, but as individuals. I like that we play a lot of baseball in the summer and get to travel to different states as well. I like the fundraisers we do. Even though they are a lot of work, there is a sense that we work for the stuff we get. I also like the workouts we do and how I can get stronger for baseball. The other thing I enjoy is the team hangouts, because they area really fun and I get to know each of my teammates more.

I have played for Team Valle for three years and learned a lot. I have improved my baseball skills as well as life skills. Specifically, I have learned to always give 100% and to not let performance affect attitude. I have a lot of fun on Team Valle as well. I really enjoy all the team bonding and I think it helps the team play better. Team Valle has really made a difference in everything I have done from school to other sports.

A black and white photo of the ocean.

As the father of 3 boys we have experience with a number of NYC sports organizations. The Bluebirds standout because they provide top tier coaching and training and also foster a uniquely strong bond among the players within each team and across all age groups. Joining the Bluebirds feels like joining a family and my son is very loyal and committed to the organization.

Andrew S.

I was very impressed by the practice. The coaches were able to relate to the kids very well. I liked that they focused from the very beginning on the fundamentals for each skill. My son thought it was a great practice and remarked that the coaches were "the best" he has had. I agree. He has played in several leagues over the past three years and last week was by far the best instruction that I have seen. We are very excited for the season to start.

Justin M.

Coach was always rooting for my son and always had his back. In good and in tough times, he cares about these boys and wants the best for them. I appreciate this immensely.

Aline G.

This weeks tournament in St. Louis was not only fun but a very formative and positive experience for my son. He came home beaming! Super happy! Mentioned the great team dinner at the end. A huge thank you for all the hard work! Unforgettable experience.

Juan T.

The Bluebirds coaching staff are not only seasoned players and coaches, highly effective in teaching the technical aspects of the game, but they adapt to their player's nuances, strengths and weaknesses in order to maximize each child's potential. The Bluebirds staff provide a strong learning experience in hard work, having fun and knowing how to win and lose.

Robin W.

We just want to tell you that we thought the coaches did an amazing job with the team this fall. This team is such a nice group of kids but I think we all agree that every single kid has a VERY strong personality! And the two of them really showed up for the kids and built solid relationships with them as individuals and as a team. The team really improved at so many different aspects of the game, and we give the coaches enormous credit for their hard work. As we've said before, our son is having an amazing experience with the Bluebirds overall and we are just so thrilled and happy to be part of this organization.

Jennifer A.

The coaches were great and drills were coordinated. The focus on fundamentals of throwing and fielding was excellent. Right number of kids for a team and the kids seem happy. Best practice I have seen in a league to date.

“It is our goal as a program, to develop our student-athletes talents on the field while developing their character and values off the field.  We take a lot of pride in helping each individual find the right college fit, regardless of level. We want each of our student-athletes set up for success, not just in the immediate future, but long term future, and gaining an education is a big part of that vision.  Where baseball fits into that is different for each individual.  Our program has a very low college transfer rate, which I think speaks volumes to our dedication to that process. Our athletes have been very successful on the field at the college level, which I believe speaks to our preparation and development.  Not only is it important to us that we aid in helping each individual find the right college fit, but it’s equally important that they be prepared for the challenges that those opportunities present.” –

Jeff Ziemecki | President of Baseball Operations

Solar eclipse 2024: Photos from the path of totality and elsewhere in the U.S.

Images show the Great American Eclipse, seen by tens of millions of people in parts of Mexico, 15 U.S. states and eastern Canada for the first time since 2017.

Millions gathered across North America on Monday to bask in the glory of the Great American Eclipse — the moment when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun.

The path of totality measures more than 100 miles wide and will first be visible on Mexico’s Pacific coast before moving northeast through Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and upward toward New York, New Hampshire and Maine, then on to Canada.

Total solar eclipse 2024 highlights: Live coverage, videos and more

During the cosmic spectacle, the moon’s movements will temporarily block the sun’s light, creating minutes of darkness, and will make the sun's outer atmosphere, or the corona, visible as a glowing halo.

Here are moments of the celestial activities across the country:
