Die legendäre Punkband und mitreißenden Live-Entertainer von The Offspring kommen 2023 wieder auf große Tour nach Deutschland und Europa! Im Mai 2023 touren die Musiker endlich mit ihrem aktuellen Album „Let The Bad Times Roll“ durch die Konzerthallen der Republik und stellen ihr jüngstes Werk endlich ausgiebig ihren Fans in Deutschland vor.

Das zehnte Studioalbum der Band aus Kalifornien erschien im April 2021 und war vor allem in deutschsprachigen Raum äußerst beliebt: In Deutschland stieg die letzte The Offspring Platte direkt auf Platz 5 der Albumcharts ein und in Österreich sogar auf Platz 1. Für alle Fans der Band, die seit den 90ern die globale Alternative-Szene mit jeder Menge Punkrock, Pogo und Selbstironie durcheinander wirbelt, gibt es nun gute Nachrichten: Bei vier The Offspring Live-Terminen im Frühsommer 2023 dürfen die neuen Songs und alle Hits gefeiert werden.

The Offspring live: 90er Punkrock at it’s best

Gerade erst feierten The Offspring ihr Comeback auf die Live-Bühnen Europas nach rund drei Jahren, was natürlich auch an Corona lag. Im Juni war die Band auf den größten Festivals unterwegs, darunter Rock am Ring, Nova Rock, Rock im Park, Greenfield, Graspop und Hellfest.

Bei letzterem Festival in Frankreich spielte sich die Band einmal in rund einer Stunde durch die fast 40-jährige Bandgeschichte und lies kaum Fan-Wünsche offen. „Why Don’t You Get A Job“ aus dem Jahr 1998 war ebenso vertreten wie der absolute Überhit „Self Esteem“ von 1994 oder die neueren Hits „Behind Your Walls“ (2021) oder „Hammerhead“, auch wenn der Großteil von den legendären Alben „Smash“ und „Americana“ und damit aus den 90ern stammt. Die ganz großen The Offspring Hits, die für ausgelassene Stimmung bei den Festivalshows sorgen, erwarten wir im Mai 2023 dann auch wieder in den Konzerthallen Deutschlands. Bei den Songs der neuen Platte, für die wieder Bob Rock hinter den Reglern stand, geht es zwar etwas düsterer zu, aber nicht weniger Gitarren-wuchtig. Die legendäre Punkrockband The Offspring kommt mit ihrer Let The Bad Times Roll Tour 2023 nach Deutschland, um Fans das gleichnamige Album endlich live zu präsentieren. Der aktuelle Longplayer „Let The Bad Times Roll“ war im Frühjahr 2021 erschienen. Im Zeitraum vom 14. bis 22. Mai 2023 stehen vier Konzerte in München, Berlin, Hamburg sowie Düsseldorf auf dem Tourplan.

The Offspring , die viele als eine der besten Punkrockbands aller Zeiten betrachten, sind für ihren unverwechselbaren Sound sowie bissige Kommentare zur gesellschaftlichen Lage bekannt. Der globale Durchbruch gelang der mehrfach mit Platin ausgezeichneten Band mit ihrem Album „ Smash“ aus dem Jahr 1994, das zwischenzeitlich mehr als 11 Millionen Mal verkauft wurde. Es folgte ein Hit nach dem anderen und The Offspring machten den Punkrock auch im Mainstream gesellschaftsfähig. Für die Band bedeutet dies mehr als 40 Millionen verkaufte Platten, zahlreiche Shows in vollen Stadien und eine riesige Fangemeinde weltweit.

„Let The Bad Times Roll“ , das zehnte Studioalbum der Band, ist ihr dritter Longplayer, der vom legendären Bob Rock produziert wurde. Mai 2023 für einen Auftritt nach Berlin kommen. Mit im Gepäck hat die Band um Frontmann Bryan "Dexter" Holland Songs aus ihrem aktuellen Album "Let The Bad Times Roll", das im April 2021 erschien, sowie eine Auswahl ihrer bekanntesten Hits wie "The Kids Aren't Alright", "Self Esteem" und "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)".

Das Konzert wird im UFO/Velodrom (Paul-Heyse-Straße 26, 10407 Berlin) stattfinden. Das UFO/Velodrom im Ortsteil Prenzlauer Berg bietet im Normalbetrieb Platz für bis zu 5.000 Besucher und ist ein perfekt ausgestatteter Veranstaltungsort für Konzerte, Partys und Events.

Wie komme ich zum UFO/Velodrom?

Das Velodrom im Prenzlauer Berg liegt auf dem Gelände des Europasportpark Berlins und ist gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen. Es besteht ein direkter Zugang zum anliegenden S-Bahnhof Landsberger Allee. Der S-Bahnhof wird von den Ringbahnlinien S41 und S42, der Linien S8 sowie der S85 bedient. Das Velodrom hat keine eigenen Besucherparkplätze. Für Autofahrer bietet sich "Park and Ride" an. Das kostenpflichtige Parkhaus „Q-Park Am Alexanderplatz“ ist durchgehend geöffnet und hat eine direkte Anbindung mit der Tram (M5 / M6 bis Haltestation Landsberger Allee) zum Velodrom.

Was muss ich beim Einlass beachten?

Nur Taschen, die kleiner als das Format DIN A4 (21,0 x 29,7 cm) sind, dürfen mitgebracht werden. Für Taschen und Rucksäcke, die unter das Verbot fallen, gibt es im Velodrom begrenzte Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeiten. Für die Aufbewahrung von Taschen und Rucksäcken wird eine Gebühr von 2 Euro fällig. Bei der Einlasskontrolle sind außerdem unter anderem Waffen jeder Art, sperrige und gefährliche Gegenstände Glasflaschen, Notebooks, Tablets, Stative, Selfie-Sticks, Audio- und Videorekorder, Kameras und Laserpointer nicht gestattet.

Nach neunjähriger Pause meldeten sich The Offspring 2021 mit dem Album „Let The Bad Times Roll“ wieder zurück. Nun gab die Band eine gleichnamige Tour für 2023, bekannt, um die neuen Songs live zu präsentieren. Der Vorverkauf beginnt am 8. Juli.

„Dieses Album ist vielleicht die kathartischste Sache, die wir bislang gemacht haben“, sagte The-Offspring-Sänger Dexter Holland über „Let The Bad Times Roll“. Die Botschaft sei zwar düster, es soll am Ende aber hängenbleiben, wie wichtig es ist, weiter zu kommunizieren. Today, The Offspring have announced their 2023 run – Let The Bad Times Roll Tour – with special guests Sum 41 and Simple Plan. Produced by Live Nation, the 24-city tour kicks off on August 1 at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, WA making stops across the U.S. in Irvine, Phoenix, Atlanta, Tampa, St. Louis and more before wrapping up in Mansfield, MA at Xfinity Center on September 3

“One of the best things about being on tour is traveling the world playing to great audiences, and it’s even better when you can do it with your friends – we had sold out International tours with Simple Plan and Sum 41, and we’re excited that they’ll be joining us this Summer in America. Frequently regarded as one of the best rock bands of all time, The Offspring have garnered a reputation for their unmistakable sound and social comment. The multi-platinum band first achieved worldwide success in the 90’s with the release of their album Smash, which sold over 11 million copies. Following Smash, they continued to release hit after hit, popularizing rock at a mainstream level. The group is also currently working on new music.

Throughout their career, they’ve sold over a staggering 40 million albums, and toured arenas, and built a global fan base. Let the Bad Times Roll marks the band’s tenth studio album and third album produced by the legendary Bob Rock. True to the irreverence at the core of their rock music, the band and lyricist Dexter Holland took a view to today’s cultural moments and didn’t shy away from creating topical material in this album.

ABOUT OFFSPRING

The Offspring is an American rock band from Garden Grove, California, formed in 1984. Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal, the band’s lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Bryan “Dexter” Holland, bassist Todd Morse and lead guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman. Over the course of their 38-year career, they have released ten studio albums. The Offspring is often credited—alongside fellow California bands Green Day and Rancid—for reviving mainstream interest in rock in the 1990s. They have sold over 40 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling rock bands in history.

From their new millennium rise to MTV superstardom through pop-punk’s modern resurgence, SIMPLE PLAN have been an indelible part of pop culture since forming in Montreal in 1999. They’ve sold 10 million albums worldwide, won multiple Juno Awards, performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics – and, most recently, launched the omnipresent #ImJustAKid TikTok challenge that’s spawned more than 3.4 million videos, including clips from Hilary Duff, Ed Sheeran, Usher and Venus and Serena Williams.
