Secret Island Beach Adventure

Come and play on the shores of beautiful kaneohe bay.

Our Secret Island Beach Adventure is an ideal place to relax and spend the day with family and friends and  enjoy water sports and beach games.  Bring your reef-safe sunscreen, swimsuit, water shoes, towel, shades and a camera for a fun-filled beach day. Some activities available may include kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding, beach volleyball, table tennis, or horseshoes and are available on a first come, first served basis . In addition to activities, you can just relax and read a book in a hammock under a swaying palm tree. Showers and changing rooms are available on Secret Island so bring a change of clothes and a towel if you’re planning to take a dip in the ocean. You can bring your own drink coolers and lunch/snacks if you want … just no glass bottles allowed … cans are preferred to avoid using single-use plastics!

8:00AM-11:30AM (~3 hours of beach time)

Afternoon Adventure:

11:45AM – 3:15PM (~3 hours of beach time)

Private Events: Our Secret Island Beach can hold up to 250 people and is the perfect place for family parties, group events, and more wanting to hang out on the historic and beautiful white sands of Kaneohe Bay.

TIP: Advanced reservations are recommended as many tours sell out 2-3 weeks in advance, so please accept our apologies if the tour you want is not available.

Upon arrival, your adventure unfolds as you cross an ancient Hawaiian fishpond with the help of our expert guides. Once on Secret Island, you'll have a variety of activities at your disposal - from stand-up paddleboarding and canoe riding to beach volleyball and ping pong. Whether you choose a 3-hour adventure or a full 6-hour experience inclusive of lunch, each moment promises to be unforgettable.

Lunch is not included in the 1/2 day or Circle Island tour option. You are encouraged to bring your own snacks and drinks.

Any request for a refund 72 hours or more before the tour or activity starts is honored with a full refund.

No refunds are issued for any cancellations inside the 72-hour period, prior to the start of your tour. There is no refund for no-shows. There is no charge for date change or tour change based on tour availability outside of the 72-hour cancellation period.

I did the secret island back in 2015, and it truly felt like a secret island. The amount of people that were there at that time were the same amount of people on the boat. Now it is overhwelmed 10 fold of people. From th ... e previous time going and present activities to do, they added a couple more presently. One of which checking out the turtles. Anyways its still fun, especially with someone else.

Lots to do but equipment has seen better days. Bathrooms were portable

Kualoa Ranch is located approximately 23 miles away from Waikiki, and depending on traffic, it can take up to an hour to drive there.

Lockers are available, but space is limited. Please request a locker upon check-in. If one is not available, your name will be placed on your bags and stored in the main office.

Yes, there is, and it is one you must see at one point in your life! There is a secret island on Oahu and is part of the Kualoa Ranch tours . You can visit the secret island beach and do many of their jungle expedition tours as well. 

You can also enjoy a secret island beach adventure where the swaying palm tree will provide the perfect backdrop for your photos. The secret beach island is not only beautiful but also offers a variety of secret island beach activities for everyone to enjoy.

How to Get to Secret Island Oahu? 

The secret island is along Kaneohe Bay, and you can only get to it by going through the Kualoa Ranch. Purchase a ticket for just this adventure or as part of a package to view the other tours and activities the Kualoa Ranch has to offer.

How Long Should I Plan to Stay? 

Because it is a hidden island and part of a tour, you cannot come and go as you please. There are two different time lengths for each tour. You can choose to go for half a day and choose from morning (8:30 am) or afternoon (11:30 am). Or you can go for a full day (8:30 am to 2:45 pm).

With the full-day tour, you will be provided with a bento lunch! 

We went for a half-day and wished we had stayed longer! With little kids, you might benefit from doing a half-day because they do get tired faster, but there are plenty of activities that will keep them busy too! 

If you are short on time and only do the half-day, you can still do all the activities and enjoy this trip. Do what fits in your schedule! 

While on the tour, you’ll have access to picnic tables, changing rooms, and a private beach area for a more comfortable and convenient experience. Make sure to bring your camera to capture the beautiful scenery and natural beauty of the island.

Can Families Enjoy the Secret Island? 

The secret island tour is perfect for families, couples, and everyone! There are plenty of activities that every age group will enjoy. 

It is a beautiful place perfect for couples on their honeymoon or babymoon and makes for a great date! But there are plenty of toys and activities for kids too. We took two toddlers, and they cried when it was time to leave; they were having so much fun! 

For families, the island offers various water sports equipment including paddle boards and table tennis for a fun and engaging experience. The secluded beach ensures a safe and enjoyable environment for all ages.

Is the Secret Island Tour Worth It?  

I think it is absolutely worth it! I’ve been to countless beaches on Oahu, but there is nothing that compares to this gorgeous hidden island. There is a special peace and serenity here that you won’t find anywhere else. 

There are also so many fun beach activities to enjoy while you are there, free of charge! You don’t have to rent anything; simply grab and go. There is something for everyone to enjoy, from paddleboarding to canoe and kayaks, even those who don’t love spending time in the water!

Step by Step Guide to Visit the Kualoa Ranch Secret Island

You will need to purchase your ticket in advance . On the day of your scheduled trip, you will need to arrive 45 minutes earlier than your start time. If your tour starts at 8:30 am, you will need to arrive at 7:45 am. This is to ensure everyone makes it on time for the tour. 

You will check in at the front desk and get your wristband. Due to COVID-19, you now have the option to drive yourself to the boat dock. I highly recommend it, especially if you have kids because the tour bus does not have AC and is very bumpy compared to driving in your car. 

The Kualoa Ranch secret island beach is only 3 minutes away from the Ranch. You will first arrive at the boat dock. There you can learn some history about the island while you wait for the other tour members to arrive. 

Then you will go on a small boat to travel to the island. All tour members will ride together, and it only takes about two minutes. You’ll get amazing views of the Kualoa mountains, so have your cameras ready! 

Once you arrive at Kualoa Secret Island, it is a short walk to the beach activities and more breathtaking ocean views and surrounding mountains. 

What to Do on Secret Island Beach

While it is a small island, there are so many fun things to do! Here are just a few fun things you can enjoy at this Hawaii secret island. 

Paddle Boarding and Kayaks

Enjoy some relaxing stand up paddle boarding or fun kayaking through the light blue ocean. There are plenty of each for everyone to enjoy.

This is the perfect spot to practice stand up paddleboarding because there are no waves! The ocean is perfectly calm and is so easy to kayak or paddleboard in at the secret island.

Canoe Ride 

This is a group event you can sign up for. You can ride on a huge canoe to a little sandpit out in the middle of the ocean. The sandbar is very shallow, so you’ll have the chance to get out of the canoe and explore for a bit before returning. 

The canoe ride only fits 16 people, so be sure to sign up right away, so you get the chance to ride on it! They only offer one ride per tour, so don’t miss out! They will teach you how to paddle correctly and work as a team to glide through the water. 

Sand Activities 

If you don’t enjoy being in the water, this hidden island is still perfect for you! There are plenty of fun sand activities to enjoy without ever making it into the water. 

There are plenty of hammocks all along the beach shore, so you can relax and enjoy the gorgeous views. There are even beach chairs that you can lay down on to suntan and feel the warmth of the sun on your body. 

You can also enjoy some beach volleyball or ping pong on the sand. Both of these areas are in the forest, so there is shade all around. It is perfect for when you need to cool down and take a break from the sun. 

There is also a fire pit, corn hole toss, and connect four games all through the island in the forest to enjoy as well. Kids can enjoy making sandcastles on the beach with their free shovels and sand buckets. 

Glass Bottom Boat  

Another fun event you can do is the glass bottom boat tour. This is another free event included in your ticket price. You will take a boat trip out to the middle of the ocean. The bottom of the boat is made out of glass, so you will be able to see all the water life living in the ocean! 

You could see sharks, turtles, fish, coral life , and so much. You will also have a tour guide who gives more history and fun facts about this island as well. This is a fun experience and only happens once during each tour, so don’t miss this one either! The boat is big enough for the entire group to ride, so there is no need to sign up. 

Snorkeling 

The water on this island is so clear; it is perfect for snorkeling! There is gear available to help you see all the beautiful fish and coral surrounding this island. The water is about 3-4 feet deep everywhere, so you’ll be able to see everything up close. 

Beach Walk 

While there are certain areas you have to stay in the water, you can roam the entire island! Enjoy a beautiful walk on the beach or through the small forest surrounding the island. 

Tips for Visiting the Secret Island on Oahu

While this is literally paradise, here are a few tips to make it more enjoyable: 

• Bring plenty of bug spray. There are tons of mosquitos on the island, so make sure to apply it often! 
• While there is free sunscreen on the island, it is best to bring your own . The sunscreen available is incredibly thick and hard to apply. 
• Wear water shoes . As you get closer to the water, the sand gets harder, and there are plenty of small coral pieces along the beach shore. Also, there is coral all around the island, so it is best to wear water shoes to not hurt your feet or damage the coral. 
• Don’t bring a life jacket for anyone! They have plenty of life jackets for everyone, children included! 
• If you do not get the full day pass, bring your own food. You can bring whatever drinks and food you want, so be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks to last a few hours! You will get hungry and thirsty for sure! If you forget, you can always order some at the snack shack.

We loved our day exploring coffee farms, an active volcano, rainforest waterfalls and like everything about it. I had my head on a swivel, there was always something more to see!

We went down the road to Hana and then kept going. It was the best day we had on Maui. The stuff past Hana is absolutely awesome. The Best waterfalls, roadside cliff views, historic buildings and big open areas. It was cool.

The island has a lot of people but that means they have lots of great little places to eat at and check out. That is what we did all day long. New places, new tastes, new everything.  Each part of the island is different. Going all the way around allowed us to see it all.

Our Secret Island Beach Adventure is an ideal place to relax and spend the day with family and friends and toy around with lots of water sports equipment and beach games. Why rent a kayak in Waikiki for $80 an hour when you can try out kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, and a catamaran. Our beach day of fun is available as a morning adventure from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, or an afternoon adventure from 11:45 AM to 3:15 PM.

Bring your sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, shades, and a camera for a fun-filled beach day of kayaking, canoe riding, stand-up paddle-boarding, beach volleyball, table tennis, or horseshoes. Of course, you can just relax and read a book in a hammock under a swaying palm tree. Showers and changing rooms are available on Secret Island so bring a change of clothes and a towel if you’re planning to take a dip in the ocean. You can bring your own drink coolers and lunch/snacks if you want.

Our Secret Island Beach can hold up to 250 people and is the perfect place for family parties, school groups, and visitors alike wanting to hang out on the historic and beautiful white sands of Kaneohe Bay.

The best $45.95 invested in my trip to Hawaii. Kualoa Ranch is just beautiful and this place is perfect in case you are looking for a beautiful beach to relax and enjoy a day full of nature. Highly Recommended.

I loved this place. So calm and peaceful. I had a great time paddle boarding and kayaking. You must do this activity if you come to Kualoa Ranch.

I wanted to visit Kualoa Ranch so badly since last year. But due to my recent knee surgery, I thought it was not gonna be a choice during my trip to Hawaii. My cousin (who loves Kualoa and goes every year) told me to do the Movie tour and also the secret island. I am glad I took his advice. This beach is beautiful. I loved reading my novel on a hammock with no interruption and listening to the sound of the ocean. The only reason I give 4 stars is because I had to wait one hour before doing the activity at the check-in. I told them it should be 30 minutes. Aside from that little detail, the experience is unforgettable.

Report: ‘Jurassic World 4’ Rumored Plot Synopsis Revealed

A rumored plot synopsis for Jurassic World 4 (2025) has allegedly been leaked online.

Following the critical reception of the last two films in the Jurassic series, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022) , it makes sense that Universal Pictures is going back to the creative drawing board for future storytelling.

While Jurassic World 4 is keeping plot details close to its chest, what we do know so far suggests that the film is taking a more “back-to-basics” approach than its two predecessors, both of which took the long-running series in an unexpected direction.

The idea of dinosaurs escaping into the wild and populating the human world was an intriguing one to say the least. And when the credits rolled on Fallen Kingdom following that epic cliffhanger, fans couldn’t wait to see the final chapter in the Jurassic World trilogy.

Unfortunately, while Dominion has plenty of merits like its 2018 predecessor , its lack of focus on dinosaurs living among humans became a major talking point — and not in a good way. Still, Fallen Kingdom and Dominion each grossed over $1B worldwide.

So, naturally, a sequel was inevitable. Now, Jurassic World 4 is officially in production, with Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) star Scarlett Johansson leading a new cast , and director Gareth Edwards ( Godzilla , Rogue One: A Star Wars Story , The Creator ) at the helm.

As for the plot, all we’ve been given is the following logline, per Variety : “A completely fresh take launching a new Jurassic era” in which “ three adults and three teens [get] stuck on the island.” Rumors, however, suggest that the film will be titled Jurassic City and will revolve around “human-dino hybrids.”

Jurassic World 4  Rumored Plot

Now, the Jurassic fan page on X (Twitter) Jurassic_World_Fandom/@Brycenator100 claims to have acquired the unofficial synopsis for Jurassic World 4  via some sort of leak.

Before we dive in, it’s worth noting that this page is not a credible source. However, there are clues throughout this synopsis that overlap with information we know to be 100% true.

Read it below (edited for clarity):

POTENTIAL SPOILERS: The plot of Jurassic World 4 revolves around a rescue mission between a group of soldiers (Scarlett and Bailey) attempting to locate a group of tourists who got trapped on the island near Suriname after their tour went wrong. The dino tour is similar to JP3 as it is illegal and secret. You have to register at a sketchy bar. A criminal syndicate organizes the tours which they use to help launder money and recycle it into the black market. The plot is about an investigation of the crime syndicate and the island after some tourists go missing from their tour along with their helicopter. However the twist is that they find all of the tourists are already dead. Chaos ensues and a lot of the soldiers die à la The Suicide Squad (2021) as they attempt to escape from the island.

Let’s break down this alleged synopsis and compare it against details that have been confirmed in recent weeks.

So, according to this supposed “leak,” the film is said to revolve “around a rescue mission between a group of soldiers (Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey) attempting to locate a group of tourists who got trapped on the island near Suriname after their tour went wrong.”

Now, we know from Jurassic World 4 ‘s official logline that it will follow “ three adults and three teens getting stuck on the island.” Are Johansson and Bailey playing two of those three adults, along with one of the other confirmed adult actors as the third, perhaps Rupert Friend or Mahershala Ali?

Then there’s the alleged setting, Suriname, a country located in South America.

In the past, Hawaii has doubled for the fictitious Costa Rican islands, Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna/Site B, in the Jurassic films. However, Jurassic World 4 is currently shooting on location in Thailand, whose tropical jungles looks a lot like Suriname.

It’s also worth pointing out that the remnants of ancient civilizations can be found throughout this South American country.

One of many set photos shared by @reelnewshawaii on X (Twitter) , which has been documenting the film’s on-location shoot in Thailand for some weeks, feature ancient ruins built for the film . The ones below show a prop built at Huay To Waterfall within the Khao Phanom Bencha National Park in Krabi:

The alleged synopsis goes on to say that “a criminal syndicate” organizes illegal dinosaur tours to an unspecified island “which they use to help launder money and recycle it into the black market,” adding that the film is about an investigation into this organization after “some tourists go missing from their tour along with their helicopter.”

It also says that tourists must “register” for the tour “at a sketchy bar.”

There are a number of interesting points here that tie in with confirmed details.

First of all, there’s the “sketchy bar”. We’re not suggesting that the below bar which is being used in the film is “sketchy”, however, it does look like it could double as such a location:

As for that helicopter going missing, check out another tweet below from @ reelnewshawaii:

And, as for tourists who “go missing from their tour along with their helicopter,” going back to that official logline, which states that the film follows “three adults and three teens”, could those three teens, who will most likely be played by confirmed actors Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, be the surviving members of the tour group?

The end of the alleged synopsis doesn’t give us much, as it says that Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey’s characters “find all of the tourists are already dead” and that “chaos ensues” as they “attempt to escape from the island.”

The alleged synopsis also draws comparisons with Jurassic Park III , not in the sense that the 2001 sequel revolves around a rescue mission, but rather the concept of illegal dinosaur tours. “The dino tour is similar to JP3 as it is illegal and secret,” it says.

If this synopsis does turn out to be true — or, that, at the very least, the illegal dinosaur tours element does — then it makes us wonder when exactly the film is set in conjunction with previous Jurassic Park / Jurassic World installments .

So far, Universal Pictures has yet to confirm when the new film takes place . Of course, the working title, Jurassic World 4 , indicates that it follows the latest sequel, Jurassic World Dominion , but nothing has been confirmed either way.

As such, for all we know, the film could take place between any of the previous movies.

Jurassic World 4 is being directed by Gareth Edwards with a screenplay by David Koepp. Steven Spielberg, director of the first two films, returns as executive producer.

The film will be released in theaters on July 2, 2025.

Modi's visit to Moscow and what it could mean for the world

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hugging Russian President Vladimir Putin tightly - literally. The two men embraced in front of cameras during a two-day visit of meetings that touched on defense and economic ties, among other topics. But perhaps more important than what was discussed was the context in which the visit took place. Just hours before Modi landed, Russian rockets struck cities across Ukraine, killing at least 36 people. And the talks occurred as Putin tries to show that Russia is not isolated on the world stage despite crippling sanctions. For more, we have called Daniel Markey. He's a senior adviser on South Asia for the United States Institute of Peace. Welcome to ALL THINGS CONSIDERED.

DANIEL MARKEY: Thanks, happy to be with you.

DETROW: What did you make of this visit?

MARKEY: Well, the timing wasn't great, certainly from Washington's perspective. You know, I'm sitting here in Washington, D.C. We have the NATO summit going on. And here's Narendra Modi, prime minister of India, someone who Washington has characterized as an increasingly close friend, in Moscow literally, as you said, hugging Vladimir Putin - in a way, endorsing a Russian position that Russia is not as isolated as Washington or its Western allies would like to believe, so problematic.

DETROW: President Biden, and like you said, all of the NATO leaders he is meeting with this week in D.C. have organized a big part of their strategies for the Ukraine War on making Russia isolated, on saying Russia is alone on the world stage - nobody stands with Russia. Does this visit show that that strategy just isn't working?

MARKEY: Well, it's always been problematic with India. From the start, India has been pretty clear that they intended to be, might say, opportunistic, certainly, in terms of their purchasing of oil from Russia, that they weren't going to let off. As the Indian government has been at pains to explain to Washington now for a couple of years, you know, India needs oil, India can't afford higher oil prices, India's economy needs to grow, and Russia is willing to sell at cut-rate prices. So Washington's had to deal with that reality from the start. I think, though, this was more symbolic in terms of its timing and will still come at something of kind of a shock here in Washington. It really sends ripples through the scenes here because, you know, seeing Modi do that now just looks even worse.

DETROW: What's the best way to describe how Modi and how other Indian leaders have approached the war in Ukraine?

MARKEY: They don't see it through the same lens as certainly the Biden administration has wanted to suggest. It's not a war between right and wrong, democracy and autocracy and so on. It's a European conflict with particular historical background to it, one that has a lot to do with Russia and formerly the Soviet Union and the rise of NATO, the growth of NATO. India doesn't see it as its conflict and wants to be clear that it would prefer to take a more neutral stance, that its relationship with Russia continues to be quite important and that that's not going to change.

DETROW: You mentioned that the U.S. is increasingly closely aligning with India on a lot of fronts, particularly when it comes to countering China. India is a key part of that for the U.S. and kind of setting up India and other countries aligned against China. Does the fact that Modi is defying the U.S. and portraying himself as so close to Russia - does that undermine those other efforts?

MARKEY: So far, Washington has had to basically accept that for exactly the reason that you suggest, which is that, you know, India continues to be important in the narrow context, or the other context, of strategic competition with China. And there, U.S. and Indian concerns are, not identical, but quite similar. So, so far, Washington has really had to accept that India could be a partner in one area if not in the other and has been working along, you know, with that assumption. And that's likely to hold, but this is just a harder pill to swallow.

DETROW: I want to end on that first image that I mentioned, that hug between the two of them. Even given all of the trends that you're talking about in recent years and the relationship between India and Russia, were you surprised to see these two leaders hug, especially during a week in which Russia brutally attacked cities across Ukraine?

MARKEY: I think many people in Washington will be surprised. People who follow Narendra Modi knows that he likes to hug world leaders, but the timing was terrible. And I do think that it's a reflection of the gap between how India sees the world, how Narendra Modi sees the world and India's place within it and where the United States sees India, or would like to see India, as an increasingly close partner. And so that hug has great weight to it.
