Community poll: 5 long travel tacoma builds.

White 3rd Gen Tacoma With RCLT HD Long Travel Kit

Welcome back to another community poll. This is a column interview Q&A with independent owner-submitted feedback from the overland community – centered around one topic. Each owner has thoroughly tested their products through off-roading or overlanding and gives us their honest opinion review of their set-up.

Long travel suspension is a high-end upgrade that significantly improves your truck’s off-road performance. They provide a wider track width, increased wheel travel, and increased traction – especially at faster speeds. This all enables the truck to handle tough and uneven terrains with ease. Think of these setups as somewhere between a standard mid-travel suspension and Baja trophy truck territory. Kits vary in complexity and modification.

Tell Us About Your Setup

I upgraded to long travel to maximize my truck’s off-road capabilities and to run larger tires.

I chose JDFabrication for the front because they have tons of experience and focused on Toyota parts specifically. They advertised their kit on Tacoma World Forums and detailed the development and build process for this kit. Reading about the research and development of the entire kit instilled huge confidence in the fitment and performance for me.

I installed everything on my own and the entire process was simple. The fitment of the kit was great and the JDFabrication team was easy to get ahold of if I had questions and their customer service was the best.

My Tacoma with long travel handles great on-road and performs effortlessly off-road. Long travel allows my truck to ride smoothly over rough terrain and helps me crawl over larger obstacles.

2. Kiet: RCLT HD

3rd Gen Tacoma With RCLT LT Kit & 40" Mud Terrain Tires

  • RCLT HD 2.75 | RCV Axles 2.75
  • King Suspension Long Travel | 3.0x16x600 lb Spring Coil Over
  • Chevy 63 Swap Rear Ruffstuff Specialties Kit w/ Chevy 63 3 Leaf Spring Kit
  • Archive Garage Shock Relocation | 2.5×14 Kings Smooth Bodie Shocks
  • Duro Bump Stops
  • Crown Performance 28-inch Steel Braided Extended Brake Lines

I mainly like to do rock crawling but also still want a smooth ride off-road and the RCLT was the perfect kit for that. The specs speak for themselves, with every piece being extremely heavy-duty.

The RCLT brings the entire wheel forward 2″ in order to clear 40″ tires (paired with a little tubbing). It also introduces a bigger, stronger steering rack (Land Cruiser 200 series) that is double-sheared and heimed. The clearance on the RCLT is superior to any long travel kit on a Tacoma due to the way the lower arm is made.

Money was definitely a factor as I’ve always wanted to go past 37s. This meant needing to upgrade to beefier components like the steering rack. Considering how the only other option is a modified Tundra rack and Heims can cost $2500-3000, it didn’t make sense. As I tried to find alternatives to the RCLT kit, I kept ending up at a similar price point. Plus, the RCLT is streamlined being an all-inclusive kit.

My rear setup is very simple; how can I build it to where it’s still comfortable, extremely capable, and cheap? The Chevy 63 swap was the answer considering how dirt cheap it is for the insane amount of performance you get. The 63 swap was able to get used to the entire 14 smooth-body shocks in the rear.

Going to a 3-link would be the better choice, but the amount of money needed for that far exceeded the benefits. You get a better bang for the buck with the 63 swap. Since I mainly rock crawl than desert dune, it just made more sense.

3. Scott Molina: Dirt King

3rd Gen Tacoma With Dirt King Long Travel Kit

  • Dirt King Long Travel Kit
  • Front Coil Overs
  • Rear Triple Bypass
  • 2.0×2.0 Bump Stops
  • Deaver Leaf Springs

Starting off in the front, I have a custom Dirt King long travel kit with King Suspension spec coil overs. I also have the bypass hoop installed, just not the bypasses yet.

In the rear, I have the complete Dirt King long travel and bed cage paired with the King Suspension triple bypass. The frame is boxed in from the cab back for more strength and C-notched for an extra 2″ of bump travel. There are also King bump stops mounted at the top of the notch.

All in all, this has made for a great setup both on-road and off-road.

4. Heather & Alex: Total Chaos

2nd Gen Tacoma With Long Travel - Drop Test

  • Total Chaos +3.5 Race Kit w/ 2.5 8″ Coilover and 2.5 8″ Bypass
  • Gusseted Spindles
  • Heim Steering
  • Dirt King Spring-Under Kit w/ Currie Fabricated Ford 9″

We found that we really enjoyed going fast more than anything else off-road. Then, we realized that a large number of components on a basically stock Tacoma really can’t handle that kind of a beating. For example, we destroyed our engine mounts and completely murdered our core support. We ended up replacing it with a custom tube structure in the hopes that it would help hold the truck together.

Unfortunately, we still had issues and needed to move our battery to the bed to keep it from crashing all the way through our inner fender. It was at that point we knew we needed to do something to stop chasing problems and instead get ahead of them. Long travel was that something.

We did as much research as we could with the little knowledge that we had at the time. After being told we couldn’t go wrong with any of the big three brands, we settled on Total Chaos because of their solid reputation and passion for Toyotas. We also figured that the best way to learn something was to jump headfirst into it. It was advised that we upgrade the rear end at the same time, but you know how money can be.

We were really enjoying our front upgrades. Once we were able to get the bypasses installed, we immediately started jumping the truck and pushing it further and further each time. Well, that advice about getting rear long-travel came back to bite us when we discovered our rear axle housing was bent and the internals were completely destroyed.

We went back and forth quite a bit on whether to 3-link the truck now that we needed to replace our entire axle assembly or go with our original plan to go spring-under.

In the end, it came down to cost and the desire to be able to get the upgrades we needed while still having funds available for the “unexpected”.

We’d always liked the Dirt King kit with its frame notch that allows for more up travel. We’ve seen how well their truck can boogie, so we went with that. Again, head first all the way. We literally just got our truck back after installation, so we’re still feeling out of capability. Plus, with the new axle assembly, we have to properly break in the new gears.

So far, we are loving the feel of the truck and are excited to see what it can really do.

5. Josh Oats: Dirt King

Lifted Long Travel 3rd Gen Tacoma With C4 Fabrication Hybrid Bumper, Amber Lighting, Custom Vinyl Wrap, Dirt King Long Travel & Fiberglass Fenders

  • +3.5 Long Travel Kit
  • Upper Control Arms
  • Lower Control Arms
  • Bypass Hoops
  • 8” Coilovers with 600lb Springs
  • Triple Bypasses
  • Hydro Bump Stops
  • 14” Rear Triple Bypasses
  • 2” Stroke Hydro Bump Stops
  • Solo Motorsports Tundra Steering Rack with Clevis Upgrade and Double Sheers

I chose Dirt King because they’re one of the top brands you can really choose from. When you see their kits in person you see the attention to detail these guys put into these kits.

I chose Locked for shocks because I’ve had them for years and they’ve never let me down. Their shocks are fully serviceable and rebuildable and they use quality materials and parts. The owner, Riley, truly cares about all of his customers and does everything he can to make sure everyone is taken care of and loves their shocks and bump stops. I love the products so much that I became a dealer for them and I’m fortunate to now call Riley a very good friend of mine. Hit me up for the best deal on your Locked set up.

I opted for the Tundra steering rack from Solo Motorsports because it looked like it was the most well-put-together conversion for the Tacoma and I have to say that their kit is really nice. I did as many supporting mods as possible for the LT but also for the 37s.

Final Thoughts

3rd Gen Pre-Runner Tacoma with Long Travel

And that wraps up this week’s Taco Tuesday on LT!

While long travel suspension might not be for everyone, it has its place in the off-road community. Due to its cost, most of us can only dream, but the way it elevates the ride comfort and turns rock climbing into a breeze is truly remarkable. If you’re into moving and crawling fast, this upgrade can seriously up your game.

Trucks with long travel kits look so good – the truck’s mid-size form paired with huge tires and crazy suspensions are something straight out of our childhood imaginations, and we love it.

2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma Long Travel Kit

Introducing the new All Pro High Clearance Long Travel Suspension! Engineered to get 12” of wheel travel while extending the track width by 2” per side, this new Long Travel Kit has been completely redesigned to give you an additional 2 inches of ground clearance. Our long travel features 4130 Chromoly tubular lower arms & upper control arms . The Lower Control Arms (LCAs) have been boxed and plated for added strength, durability and skid protection on the trail. Our LCA’s feature a 1” uniball that replaces the factory lower ball joint. The 2” wider Upper Control Arms (UCAs) feature an industry leading 1.25” uniball for maximum articulation & travel. We use heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel misalignment spacers to adapt the uniball to the factory spindle. The LCAs & UCAs pivot on polyurethane bushings and have zerk fittings for easy lubrication.

From rocks to sand and everything in between, this long travel kit does it all without sacrificing comfort, quality, and performance. Tested on some of the hardest trails around, including the Hammers, Rubicon, and Moab, the All-Pro LT kit is built tough!

Chromoly Axle Shafts (not included)

Our extended heat treated 4340 chromoly axle shafts, made by Currie Enterprises, are required for 4×4 applications. They are inserted into the factory inner and outer CVs to retain 4WD. These are not included in the kit and must be purchased separately. Please specify vehicle when ordering.

Timbren Bumpstops (not included)

All-Pro has teamed up with Timbren SES to offer an upgraded bumpstop for use with our LT kit, or even stock. They are made of a softer compound than their usual offerings for weight carrying, and they provide a smoother, stop than the factory bumpstop without needlessly limiting travel. Recommended for 33”+ tires. These are not included in the kit and must be purchased separately.

Long Travel Shocks (not included)

Long Travel Shocks are required for our Long Travel Kit.  For best results, we recommend Fox 2.5 Factory Series Remote Reservoir Long Travel Coilover Shocks or the Fox 2.5 Factory Series Remote Reservoir Long Travel Coilover Shocks with DSC Adjustment.

Camburg Toyota Tacoma 2wd/4wd 16-23 Race Series Long Travel Kit

$ 3,895.00 – $ 7,699.90

Description

  • What’s Included
  • Vehicle Applications

In this high end Camburg Long Travel kit you will find nothing but the very best in A-Arm performance. Starting with our lower arm, uni-balls in the lower frame pivots, uni-ball lower ball joint replacement, and a stout boxed race arm. The upper arm pivots on urethane bushings with zerk fitting and 1.25″ uniballs replace the stock ball joints. We adapt the uniball to the spindle with heat treated stainless steel adapters. Utilizing Camburg SPEC 8″ travel 2.5″ reservoir coilovers by FOX or King there is no need to cut the stock coil-over mounts. The shock design has an external top cap so the shock has a shorter overall extend length then all other off-road race shocks. The steering upgrade includes heat treated stainless steel tie-rod and inner clevis which utilizes a FK 3/4″ heim joint. This system will yield up to 15″ travel on a 2×4 and 14″ on a 4×4. This system can also be upgraded with our weld-on bypass shock mount and a custom FOX or King 2.5″ 3 tube bypass shock.

With this kit you have the ability to run a coilover, with a bypass shock and/or hydraulic/air bump stop for the ultimate control for off-road use. We have a Camburg spec. FOX or King 2.5 coilover that we’ve designed to yield maximum useable wheel travel and control with specific valving. For bypass shock setups give us a call or send an email for pricing.

Fiberglass front fenders need to be installed in conjunction with this suspension system. While this kit is able to be 95% bolt-on, we recommend having it installed by a reputable off-road shop familiar with these types of products and components. This is not for your beginner mechanic to handle.

im not being an ass im being dead serious...it wastes my time running across threads like this and frustrates me that new users dont take the time to famillarize themselves with the site before posting. How long do you think it would take screwing arround to run across MPJ2 and his build? or if you went on youtube you could easily find a supercharged longtravel tearing it up on both trails and in the dunes right here in cali. The point is not to roast newbs asking questions, but rather to curtail needless threads...thats all. Welcome to the world BLAKE

2025 Toyota 4Runner Is Finally Here as a Turbo Hybrid Tacoma SUV

After 15 years, Toyota’s adventure machine is reinvented as an off-roady Tacoma SUV with optional turbo hybrid power.

Toyota News photo

calebjacobs0611

calebjwords

I was starting to doubt that I would ever see a new Toyota 4Runner , but it's finally, really happening. Gone is the old one that hung around for 15 years with its ancient platform and five-speed automatic; here to stay is the sixth-generation 4Runner with a 2.4-liter turbo-four, available hybrid tech, more trims than ever including a new Trailhunter off-road model, and a whole lot of fresh styling to keep things modern for years to come.

There's no confusing this new 'Yota with its predecessor . It looks like its own thing with angles and creases everywhere, especially up front where the fascia is high and tight. The 4Runner clearly resembles the Tacoma , just like it has in years past, but their faces aren't identical. Instead, it's a development of the design language that Toyota is using across its truck and SUV lineup, particularly the body-on-frame models that share the TNGA-F platform. That includes Tundra, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, Tacoma, and, now, 4Runner.

Toyota News photo

Toyota's design crew worked in a few callbacks to retro models. What would a new off-roader be without 'em? We already knew the drop-down back glass was returning, as it should, but take a look at the rear quarter glass, too. It wraps around the top, if ever so slightly, which pays tribute to early 4Runners— the ones with removable tops . It's still a shame we can't get that in a modern Toyota, but I digress.

Let's Take a Look Under the 4Runnin' Hood

Having given the 4Runner's exterior a good once-over, let's run through the powertrain stats. The gas-only 2.4-liter turbo—which comes standard in the SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, and Limited trims—makes 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Both of those figures are up from the old 4Runner's 4.0-liter V6 with 270 hp and 278 lb-ft of torque. (That's also way better than the first time the 4Runner offered a four-cylinder: the gutless but unkillable 22RE.) When paired with an electric motor and a 1.87-kilowatt-hour battery, total output climbs to a stout 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. That hybrid powertrain is available on TRD Off-Road and Limited, as well as standard on everything above those including TRD Pro and the new Trailhunter and Platinum trims.

No matter which power plant you pick, an eight-speed automatic is the only transmission on offer. Pour one out for the manual we so hoped for . Maybe, with enough public outcry, Toyota will do like it did with the Supra and give the 4Runner a stick at a later date.

Toyota News photo

As before, the 4Runner will be sold with two-wheel drive, part-time four-wheel drive, or full-time four-wheel drive, depending on which variant you snag. The 2WD models feature an automatic limited-slip differential, while 4WD models pack that in addition to a two-speed transfer case. Toyota also installs locking center differentials on full-time 4WD models like the Limited when spec'd with the hybrid powertrain, as well as on the Platinum trim.

I'm not sure how many people are towing big loads with their 4Runners, but for anyone interested, it's rated for a max capacity of 6,000 pounds with both the gas-only and hybrid powertrains.

2025 Toyota 4Runner Trailhunter

More Fun to Choose From

The new Trailhunter model brings with it a slick suite of upgrades. It starts with an electronic rear locker and also includes a push-button sway bar disconnect, 33-inch Toyo Open Country all-terrains, Old Man Emu 2.5-inch shocks with rear external piggyback reservoirs, steel rock guards, and skid plates. Heck, it even has a snorkel in case you find yourself with the truck's hybrid battery and engine submerged in a water crossing. Now that's what I'm talking about.

The Trailhunter boasts 9.2 inches of ground clearance—more than any new Land Cruiser, which makes do with 8.0 inches. The big boy 4Runner also wins in the off-road angle categories with 32 degrees of approach and a 24-degree departure angle compared to the Land Cruiser's 31 and 17. As such, this new ‘Yota is positioned as a top choice in the brand’s impressive four-wheeling lineup.

It's interesting to see Toyota's treatment of the 4Runner with two top-shelf off-road trims. Of course, we've already seen this approach with the Tacoma TRD Pro and Trailhunter, but the fact that the dual halo models carry over to the adventure SUV gives us something to think on. Toyota is giving a lot more info on the Trailhunter at launch, but it's worth noting that the Tacoma TRD Pro's trick IsoDynamic seats with built-in air-over-oil shock absorbers are missing from the 4Runner TRD Pro.

Toyota News photo

Finally, reinforcing that the 4Runner is a mass-market vehicle and not some niche four-wheeler is a new Platinum trim. It focuses on comfort and livability more than rock-crawling and trail-driving. The gloss black exterior accents allude to its more phosisticated ethos, as do the heads-up display and heated second-row seats. It's like a Limited but nicer, essentially, and you know people will buy 'em.

Less Modest, More Modern Interiors

Some 4Runners will feature an eight-inch infotainment screen, though most are likely to get the Mac Daddy 14-inch display. We've already seen it in other new Toyotas and for the most part, it's a good system to use. Operation is fairly simple and the resolution is crispy, marking quite the departure from the Toyota screens of old. It's in your face, no doubt, but you'll appreciate the clarity of a 360-degree camera feed when you're stuck between a rock and a hard place off-road. If you just want to use it for Apple CarPlay, that's cool too .

Toyota News photo

Likewise, a seven-inch gauge cluster is standard on lower trims while snazzier models get a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. That means a high-end 4Runner like the Platinum or TRD Pro packs more than two feet of screen real estate in front of the driver. It's almost like Toyota stayed in the same analog lane with dials, knobs, and buttons across most of the dash, then veered hard left into digital. Such is life in the new car industry these days.

Still, a lot of the key functions feature their own dedicated controls. Take the transfer case toggle, for example—it has a single-purpose flipper switch that swaps between 2WD, 4HI, and 4LO. Other off-road doo-dads like Multi-Terrain Select, which is now usable in both 4WD settings, and the much-improved Crawl Control are selectable via a dial within easy reach for the driver. You don't even need to fumble through multiple touchscreen menus to view the different camera angles; you just push the button and it pops up. In that sense, Toyota has thought out the UX clearly.

Toyota News photo

Something everyone should be happy about is the standard inclusion of Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 and all that comes with it. The pre-collision system with pedestrian detection is a big plus when driving around town, as are road sign assist, lane tracing assist, and full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control. I understand that all sounds like a bunch of marketing mumbo jumbo, and it kind of is, but the fact Toyota tosses its best safety equipment into every 4Runner is a plus. It may not have hands-free driving like some other SUVs do, but you know what? This works. It's more than fine.

From left to right: The 2025 Toyota 4Runner Trailhunter, TRD Pro, and Limited.

What to Expect Next

Well, it's probably smart to expect to see these everywhere once they go on sale this fall.

It's anyone's guess how long this 4Runner will stay around. I was still in school when the outgoing generation debuted— elementary school , that is. But the new model is far better poised to face the future given its small displacement, forced induction powertrain, and the obvious hybrid element.

I don't anticipate Toyota rushing the 4Runner to full electrification anytime soon. The automaker has built its reputation on hybrids and doesn't view EVs as the move, at least not yet. What you see here is probably what we'll get for the foreseeable future, and I'm cool with that.

The 4Runner is finally modern again, even if that's what the traditionalist Toyota diehards lament as they read this. If you prefer simplicity, you're better off getting an old one. But if you want a new-age adventure mobile, this seems like a stellar platform.

2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Preview: Pricing, fuel economy and everything else we know

Retro looks, hybrid power, smaller size, cheaper price. there's a lot to be excited about..

tacoma long travel 4x4

Excited for the all-new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser ? We are too. This is a profoundly different SUV than the last Land Cruiser , for better and for worse. It’s a lot cheaper, for one, but that’s because it’s a smaller, less sophisticated off-roader that seems less likely to survive 30 years of hard life somewhere in the Sahara. For suburban America, the new one should probably be A-OK. And it’s still a Toyota after all.

Specifically, it’s a Toyota built on the increasingly ubiquitous truck platform that also underpins the Tundra , Tacoma , Sequoia , upcoming 4Runner , Lexus LX and Lexus GX . The Land Cruiser is most similar to the GX, though, which you can definitely tell just by looking at them. The Land Cruiser obviously isn’t as lux inside, has five seats only and is exclusively offered with a turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid powertrain that gets laughably better fuel economy than the old Land Cruiser as well as the GX. It also lacks the GX’s trick KDSS automatically disconnecting stabilizer bars, but should still be ace off-road.

There are two variants available (plus a fancy-pants limited First Edition) that basically boil down to old-school off-roader (the Land Cruiser 1958) and new-school luxury-tinged off-roader (literally just “Land Cruiser”). They also have different styling, especially in regards to their headlights . Different strokes, different folks. See below for everything we know up to this point, and check back soon for a more complete take once we’ve tested the new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser for the first time.

Interior & Technology    |   Passenger & Cargo Space    |   Performance & Fuel Economy

What it's like to drive    |   pricing & trim levels    |   crash ratings & safety features.

tacoma long travel 4x4

What are the Land Cruiser interior and in-car technology like?

Although the general design is shared, the Land Cruiser 1958 and Land Cruiser (full stop) differ significantly in terms of technology and interior furnishings. Basically, think of the 1958 as the more back-to-basics, few-frills off-roader and the “Land Cruiser” (they really should’ve come up with an actual trim level name) as the luxury-lined successor to more recent vintages.

Besides the cloth versus leather seating, each has a different screen setup: an 8-inch touchscreen for the 1958 and a 12.3-inch one in the Land Cruiser. Both come with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto as standard, and Toyota says they can receive over-the-air updates as the company pushes them out. The 1958 model also has a smaller digital instrument cluster flanked by analog gauges, while the other trims have a full-screen cluster with no analog gauges. The First Edition is comparable to the Land Cruiser, albeit loaded up with features that would normally be options.

tacoma long travel 4x4

How big is the Land Cruiser?

Its design is a massive departure from the last Land Cruiser and instead adopts elements from its earlier history. The squared-off body and upright stance is a timeless off-roader look, and we think it suits the new Land Cruiser quite well. Toyota made the new model 4.4 inches narrower and 1.2 inches shorter overall to improve its nimbleness off-road, and it looks dramatically smaller in person. It is virtually the same size as the mechanically related Lexus GX that you can read about here .

Unlike the GX, though, the Land Cruiser is strictly a two-row, five-passenger vehicle. That might be a problem for some, but considering how cramped the GX’s third row is, the Land Cruiser’s not missing that much. It also leaves the GX with virtually no cargo space when raised.

tacoma long travel 4x4

What are the Land Cruiser fuel economy and performance specs?

The Land Cruiser is powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four and a 48-horsepower electric motor integrated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Total system output is a respectable 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque sent through a full-time four-wheel drive system. That puts the new model at a 55-horsepower deficit to the previous one, but thanks to the power of turbocharging and electric motors, the new Land Cruiser is up 64 pound-feet of torque. Towing maxes out at 6,000 pounds, a number that will come as a disappointment for many, since the previous Land Cruiser was rated for 8,100 pounds.

EPA-estimated fuel economy stands at 22 mpg city, 25 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined. That’s a far cry from the 27 mpg combined Toyota originally touted when it announced the new Land Cruiser, but it’s still a laughable improvement over its 14-mpg predecessor. It’s also much better than the 17-mpg Lexus GX , which has a non-hybrid turbo V6.

tacoma long travel 4x4

What's the Land Cruiser like to drive?

Autoblog will be driving the Land Cruiser very soon, we’ll update this when we do.

What is the 2024 Land Cruiser price?

The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser will start at $57,345, including the $1,395 destination charge. That’s not exactly cheap, but Land Cruiser prices haven't been this low in almost 20 years, when the 2005 100-series started at $55,325. Although a substantially different vehicle to be sure, the last Land Cruiser started at $86,880. That's a whopping $29,535 price cut.

There are two trim levels, or “grades” in Toyota parlance, plus a loaded First Edition for early adopters. The 1958 acknowledges when the Land Cruiser first arrived in the United States and serves as the base model, complete with appropriately retro – the circular headlights give it away – front-end styling. It is pictured in beige below. The plainly named “Land Cruiser” is the upgrade trim with extra creature comforts, more off-road technologies/equipment and more modern front-end styling, including horizontally arranged LED head- and accent lights.

All prices below include that destination charge.

Land Cruiser 1958: $55,950 Land Cruiser: $61,950 Land Cruiser First Edition: $74,950

tacoma long travel 4x4

What are the Land Cruiser safety ratings and driver assistance features?

Just like all new Toyota models these days, the company’s Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 system comes standard, which gives you the full assortment of driver assist controls. This includes forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assistance, road sign recognition, automatic high beams, blind-spot and rear cross-traffic warning systems, and adaptive cruise control with lane-centering steering assist.

The Land Cruiser has yet not been crash-tested by a third party.
