Danish-Swedish powerhouse Vola continue to break the rules with their effervescent blend of electronic and progressive pop-tinged metal. Having stormed the charts with their 2021 album ‘Witness’ that was mixed & mastered by Jacob Hansen, Vola continues to take their equal parts melancholic and uplifting live performance to the stage - selling out shows across Europe on the way.

Now it’s time for Vola to expand their horizons and enter the North American market for the first time.

“We have had many fan requests from across the pond, and now it's finally happening. We couldn't be more excited to finally be meeting the fans who over the years have been so supportive to us,” the band says about the forthcoming venture.

With recent performances supporting Devin Townsend including at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London, opening for Evanescence at Skansen in Stockholm, and with imminent festival appearances across Europe this summer, Vola makes their debut in the fall with their first ever trip to North America and Canada. The band are eager for the opportunity to showcase their chart-topping songs live in this market, something the pandemic could not afford them. Vola will perform nine shows over the course of a couple of weeks, dipping their toes into unexplored territory.

“In Denmark, the US is still somewhat the promised land. There’s a special aura of adventure in going there and playing shows. There is that idea that if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. One of our main aims is to expand our fanbase in this market. With this tour we are just scratching the surface, so we are excited to see where this will lead. We hope that this short tour is just the beginning of a bigger journey.”

Witness is out now and explores unsettled relationships on both an individual and societal scale, and continues to open the minds and hearts of Vola fans all around the world.

When it was released, the album Witness was a critical smash, surpassing an incredible 14m streams already, it picked up international acclaim from Metal Hammer, Prog Magazine, Distorted Sound and Kerrang Radio & TV in the UK, reaching #7 in the Rock & Metal Album Charts. They were picked up by SiriusXM for multiple tracks and Metal Radio in the US which saw the album reach the Top 20 in the Billboard Current Hard Rock Charts and Top 25 in the Billboard New Artist/Heatseekers Album Chart. Tracks from the album were also added to numerous prominent playlists across Spotify, Amazon and Apple Music.

Danish-Swedish progressive metal band Vola have announced their debut North American headline tour for this November — see all upcoming shows below.

A band occupying sonic territory entirely their own, Bent Knee is “ equal parts ingenuity and deliciousness ” ( The Wall Street Journal ), distilling myriad influences into a seamless, thrilling whole. Since its inception in 2010, the Boston rock outfit has released six studio albums, each “ break[ing] new stylistic and experimental ground ” ( The Boston Globe ), merging texture and style into music that’s riveting, addictive, and unapologetically original. Fronted by the unmistakable voice of Courtney Swain , who also plays bass and keyboards in the band, the quartet is a juggling act between multi-instrumentalists, consisting of Chris Baum (violin, guitar, synth), Vince Welch (guitar, bass, sound design), and Gavin Wallace-Ailsworth (drums). NPR calls their music “ mind boggling. The grandest and subtlest ideas are on the table ,” while Consequence of Sound describes them as “ throwing off the shackles of genre . . . truly the definition of experimentalism .” After over a decade of touring together, Bent Knee has a chemistry on stage that’s difficult to either match or describe, as their numerous concert films on YouTube can attest to. The band just released their first single, “ Lawnmower ”, from a forthcoming seventh studio album.

Following the bands powerful debut album “ Moving Backwards ” in 2019, they returned in 2021 with the punchy “ Resident Human ,” a record that was packed with vivid vistas of expanding and contracting sounds, whilst honing the bands intensity into something compelling and energetic. Wheel have toured Europe multiple times with bands such as Apocalyptica , Leprous and Soen and completed their first ever US tour – again with Apocalyptica and Leprous – in 2022. Regarding the US tour, singer and guitarist James Lascelles says: “ The US tour has been a blast! Meeting countless fans both old and new, we very much enjoyed playing for them every night. ” 2022 also saw the release of the “ Rumination ” EP in partnership with the legendary prog label InsideOut Music . Wheel are currently writing and recording their third full length album, only to be interrupted by touring the United States with Vola and Bent Knee .

Vola debut new single "Paper Wolf" prior to North American tour with Bent Knee and Wheel

Danish-Swedish progressive metal quartet Vola has premiered a stand-alone single "Paper Wolf" through the band's YouTube channel. The song will be available on all streaming platforms tomorrow Wednesday, August 23rd.

The single is paired with a Patrik Nuorteva and Tuomas Kurikka -directed music video.

Vola is set to kick off its North American tour with Bent Knee and Wheel in a few short weeks. Full routing is below.

Crowded House have confirmed a 2024 North American tour in support of their upcoming album, Gravity Stars .

The late summer jaunt kicks off in St. Augustine, FL on August 29th, with additional shows scheduled Atlanta, New York, Niagara Falls, Chicago, Omaha, Vail, and beyond.

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale is set for Tuesday, April 16th (use code RIFF ), ahead of a public ticket on-sale on Friday, April 19th via Ticketmaster .

Once tickets are on sale, fans can look for deals or get tickets to sold-out shows via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Gravity Stairs is set for release on May 31st via BMG. After initially previewing the album with lead single “Oh Hi,”  the band has now unveiled “Teenage Summer,” which you can stream below.

Hinge Health, a nine-year-old company that offers a digital solution to treat chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, cut approximately 10% of its workforce on Thursday, TechCrunch has exclusively learned. The company said people who were laid off worked across various functions; according to employees posting on LinkedIn, some were engineers. Before the layoffs, Hinge had more than 1,700 employees, according to a LinkedIn estimate.

VOLA announce first headlining tour of North America

Danish-Swedish powerhouse VOLA have announced their first of North America to promote their 2021 album ‘Witness’.

“We have had many fan requests from across the pond, and now it’s finally happening. We couldn’t be more excited to finally be meeting the fans who over the years have been so supportive to us”, the band says about the forthcoming venture.

With recent performances supporting Devin Townsend including at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London, opening for Evanescence at Skansen in Stockholm, and with imminent festival appearances across Europe this summer, VOLA makes their debut in the fall with their first ever trip to North America and Canada. The band are eager for the opportunity to showcase their chart-topping songs live in this market, something the pandemic could not afford them. VOLA will perform nine shows over the course of a couple of weeks, dipping their toes into unexplored territory.

“In Denmark, the US is still somewhat the promised land. There’s a special aura of adventure in going there and playing shows. There is that idea that if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. One of our main aims is to expand our fanbase in this market. With this tour we are just scratching the surface, so we are excited to see where this will lead. We hope that this short tour is just the beginning of a bigger journey.”

Siddhartha Announces His US Tour, North America 2024

This will be the last chance for fans to see Siddhartha perform live this year before he re-enters the studio to finish recording his highly anticipated new album.

Latin Grammy-nominated musician, producer, and singer Siddhartha is set to continue thrilling fans throughout the United States this spring with his Siddhartha North America 2024 tour. The phenomenal international tour began last year and so far, has already seen the renowned Mexican music star present more than 120 shows in some of the most important cities throughout Central, South, and North America.

Siddhartha’s North America 2024 Tour, which is produced by Live Nation and MATS Agency, will kick off on May 30 in Sacramento to continue in Santa Cruz on May 31, Napa Valley (La Onda Fest) on June 1st, Los Angeles on June 15, Boston on June 17, New York on June 18, Philadelphia on June 19, and the tour will conclude on June 21 in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.

Siddhartha continues to celebrate the success of his latest single “Nada Por Hecho” ft. Spanish songwriter Leiva, and on April 11, the distinguished artist will release his highly awaited new single “Diamantes” featuring Argentine band El Zar. It is the third single off his forthcoming EP and will be released along with a compelling music video written by Siddhartha himself.

After wrapping up the U.S. leg of the tour, Siddhartha will return to the studio to record his highly anticipated new studio album, the seventh of his career, which promises to showcase the next intriguing phase in his artistic evolution.

Siddhartha is one of the most respected musical figures in Mexico and ended 2023 with an incredible sold-out show at the country’s legendary venue El Foro Sol, where in front of more than 60,000 fans he delivered the best of his repertoire, including favorites from the now-Gold-certified album that lent its name to the tour. He has continued that remarkable momentum into 2024 and is sure to leave fans speechless once again with his last live performances of the year.

Deep Purple announces 2024 tour with Yes. Get tickets today

In 1972, Deep Purple released the iconic “Smoke On The Water.”

Now, 52 years (!) later, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will celebrate their mega hit on their ‘1 More Time Tour’ with fellow Rock Hall inductees Yes all summer long.

Along the way, Ian Gillan and co. are scheduled to make five New York and New Jersey stops.

First, the heavy hitmakers drop into Camden, NJ’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on Friday, Aug. 30.

After that, the London natives swoop into Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on Aug. 31, Wantagh, NY’s Jones Beach Theater on Sept. 1 and Saratoga Springs, NY’s Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Sept. 4.

Deep Purple closes their NY run at Bethel’s Bethel Woods Center For The Arts on Sept. 6.

For fans that can’t wait to rock out to “Hush,” “Highway Star,” “Space Truckin'” — and of course “Smoke On The Water” — tickets for all North American concerts can be picked up as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, April 12, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Being together for 56 years doesn’t mean Deep Purple doesn’t have more to give to the world.

In 2022, the band reached deep into their archives and dug out “ Extras: The Infinite B Sides and Bonus Songs”  which is a must for any Purple superfan.

However, what we found most interesting was the band’s latest record of original music, 2021’s bluesy, New Orleans-y  “Turning To Crime.”

Featuring epic rock (“7 and 7 Is”) as well as lively party startin’ tunes (“Rockin’ Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu”) and covers from B.B. King (“Let the Good Times Roll”) and Cream (“White Room”), the album is certainly a departure from the hard rockers’ heavy fare they’re famous for.

Still, for our money, the best track on the record is the Southern-fried rock and roll number “Oh Well.”

We’ve been listening to it on repeat all day.

After over 50 years together — they formed in 1968 — the core of Deep Purple remains the same.

Anitta Plots First Official North American Tour in Support of ‘Funk Generation’

Brazilian superstar Anitta has announced a world tour in support of her upcoming album Funk Generation , which will include her first proper tour of North America. 

The North American leg of the Baile Funk Experience Tour will kick off May 18 at Salon LA in Mexico City and wrap June 2 at the Brooklyn Paramount in New York City. Anitta’s itinerary will also include stops in Miami, Orlando, Boston, Toronto, and Chicago. (While this marks Anitta’s first official North American tour, she has played plenty of one-off gigs and festivals here over the past several years, including Coachella in 2022.)

Tickets will go on sale for all shows April 12 at 10 a.m. local time (except the Mexico City gig, which will go on sale April 11 at 10 a.m. local time). There will be several different pre-sales as well, starting tomorrow, April 9. Full info is available on Anitta’s website .
