Is ASAP Tickets Legitimate? What You Need To Know

We all need to travel, whether it’s for a vacation or for business, and the most expensive part of a trip is usually your flight.

We will do all we can to find a cheaper flight and this means engaging in online travel agencies such as ASAP Tickets.

It takes time to trust a new online travel agency, especially with the rise in scams and fraudulent activities. This brings us to the question, “Is ASAP Tickets Legitimate?”.

Join me as I run through everything you need to know about whether ASAP Ticket is legit or not.

What Is ASAP Tickets & How Does It Work?

ASAP Tickets is an online travel agency that specializes in providing affordable flight tickets to customers. It was founded in 2001 and has its headquarters in California, USA.

Its primary focus is on international flights but also offers a variety of other travel services, including travel insurance, car rentals, and hotel reservations.

ASAP Tickets works by providing customers with a platform where they can compare and select the best flight deals for their desired destination.

The agency has partnered with over 120 airlines, which allows it to offer its customers a wide range of flights at competitive prices. The company has experienced travel agents who are available 24/7 to help customers with their travel needs.

Pros of Using ASAP tickets

Competitive pricing.

ASAP Tickets uses its established relationships with several airlines to give you competitive prices for their flights, usually much cheaper than the competition.

This allows you to save money on your travels and they even have a Lowest Fare Guarantee.

Great Customer Service

ASAP Tickets provides 24/7 live support from travel agents that are there to help you make the right booking at a good price. You can ask them for travel advice and lots more.

A lot of customers who use ASAP Tickets rave about how useful this travel agent service is, check it out here on Trustpilot .

Quick and Easy to Use

ASAP Tickets is fast and easy to use thanks to their excellent website. You can search for your flights/hotel/car and see the lowest fare available. After that, you have to call or submit a request for a free quote.

Cons of Using ASAP Tickets

Not great for domestic flights.

ASAP Tickets focuses primarily on international flights, which means that they do not offer as many domestic flights as other travel agencies. If you want to fly domestically, you are best off using a different online travel agency.

You Can Not Book Directly Online Or See Multiple Options

The search function on the website does not allow you to see multiple flight options with different routes or fare options.

All you see is the ticket price and class – you have to request a quote or call them to find out more details. While this process works, it is not acting like a travel search engine like Kayak or Skyscanner, which is a useful thing to see.

I would personally recommend searching on ASAP Tickets as well as other sites like Kayak and Skyscanner so you can see all your options before booking.

Changes/Cancellations Can Be Tricky

Whenever you book through a middleman, you are not booking directly with the hotel/airline/car rental company.

This can create issues when making changes to your booking. But, since you are using ASAP Tickets to find the cheapest deal, chances are it wouldn’t be changeable or refundable anyway.

Nevertheless, it is something you should bear in mind when booking. You will always have the most freedom with regard to changes and cancellations if you book directly with the airline, but this can cost a bit extra.

Prices Seem To Change

There are quite a few reports on Trustpilot where customers have paid for an affordable ticket only to have the travel agent come back and say, sorry we need an extra, for example, $100.

Sadly, ticket prices can change as they are not updated live, and the slower phone/quoting process creates more time for these prices to change between you getting the quotes and buying the flight.

Is ASAP Tickets Legitimate?

Yes, ASAP Tickets is a legitimate business that has been operating for over 20 years with many happy customers.

It is accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB), has an A+ rating, has a rating of 4.9 on Trustpilot, and similarly high ratings on other rating websites.

ASAP Tickets also keeps your information private and uses a secure encrypted payment system to process transactions. This means your data is protected when you book through them.

Why Are ASAP Tickets So Cheap?

Why are ASAP Tickets flight tickets so cheap? The answer lies in the company’s partnerships with over 120 airlines.

By working directly with airlines, ASAP Tickets is able to give discounted fares to its customers. A lot of their most affordable airfares are unpublished, which means you can not find them on other websites.

In this way, ASAP Tickets acts as a traditional travel agent, unlike other online travel agents such as Kayak.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What company owns asap tickets.

ASAP Tickets is owned by the International Travel Network LLC (ITN).

How long has ASAP Tickets been around?

Founded in 2021, ASAP Tickets has been operating for 22 years.

How do I get a refund from ASAP?

Getting a refund from ASAP tickets involves emailing or calling their customer service department. Chances are you can speak directly to the travel agent who helped you make your booking.

Whether you get a refund or not is dependent on the airline and the particular rules for the fare that you bought.

There are quite a few reports on Trustpilot of customers not getting their refunds, see here . It seems like ASAP Tickets is trying to address each case, but it does fill one with lots of trust to book with them.

What sites are similar to ASAP tickets?

There are quite a few similar sites to ASAP Tickets, most of which you have heard of before, and these include:

But, ASAP Tickets does operate quite differently from these other sites, as they have access to unpublished fares, unlike the others.

Should I Use ASAP Tickets?

It is a tough call if I am honest. Most reviews are very positive but there are some reviews that would certainly make me think twice. I would suggest searching on ASAP Tickets and seeing if the discount is worth it – it is always safest to book directly with the airline if you can.

asap tickets travel insurance

ASAP ticket and his agents are pulling fast ones on people. I called an agent named Lemar to get ticket to travel with my three kids, 2 of them where less than 2years of age and the other one was 4years old. Lamar gave me a quote and I paid. When I got to the airport, United refused to let us board. So, I had to pay $1381. ASAP ticket is refusing to refund the money I paid for my toddler, I have seen all they want but I am still yet to get my money back. I am going to go to every review site I know to start telling people about how I was treated by ASAP ticket. Buyers beware, ASAP ticket agent sell you ticket that you can’t refuse. I was traveling with 2infant and 1 toddler, ASAP ticket agent Lamar sold me 2 infant tickets, I asked him if I could use it, he said yes, that he sells the ticket all the time. Upon getting to the airport I was told that I can’t travel with the ticket Lamar from ASAP sold to me. I have been trying to straighten it out with them but they don’t want to refund me my money

Welcome to Tripadvisor upon joining today.

Such a pity that you didn’t do any, even the most elementary, research about the company your were apparently happy to entrust your money and your travel plans to... and consequently fell into a trip trap..

Something doesn't ring true. They didn't sell you a ticket you couldn't refuse. It was your choice, but how exactly did you propose to manage 2 lap infants?

I would look into their official complaints process, which country are they registered in?

It sounds like you were sold 2 infant on lap tickets instead of 1 lap and 1 infant in seat.

If you try to book 2 lap infants on the United site it gives an error and says.

"We could not process your request. Please see the message below and make revisions.

The reservation must include at least one adult for each infant traveling in a lap"

Their error cost you money but I would argue your losses would be $1381 minus the cost of the ticket at the time you booked originally as you should have been charged that if they had booked it correctly

Tripadvisor staff has removed this post because it did not meet Tripadvisor's forum guidelines with regards to off-topic chat.

Rick. On the Support forum a long time member posted that they tried to set up a second account just to see what happened and they were given a user name exactly like all the ones we are seeing. They knew enough to work out how they could change their name but said that new members of the site would find it very hard to do so.

It seems that these people are genuine new members.

Read post 39 in this thread from a regular regular contributor who opened a new account and found that it is TA allocating these names.
