Phil joined Avoya in 2023, bringing with him 25 years of extensive experience in the travel industry. As Chief Sales Officer, he'll be at the helm of exciting growth initiatives, including expanding the Independent Agency Network, strengthening supplier partnerships, paving the way for strategic acquisitions and introducing new, distinctive products and services.

Mark joined Avoya in 2023 after more than 17 years of experience with a leading cruise brand. His expertise in strategic financial planning and analysis, along with his strong track record of producing exceptional results, is enabling Avoya to drive stronger and faster growth.

Since joining the Avoya family in 2013, Sam has been instrumental in developing Avoya's brand strategy, leading the company's award-winning marketing initiatives that have generated more success for both travelers and new Independent Agencies in the Avoya Network™, and has been influential in creating more modern and interactive ways for Independent Agencies to connect with travelers. His teams are delivering more personalized content and better online experiences to consumers while creating stronger customer value and retention.

Bringing almost 40 years of travel industry experience to the Avoya team, Steve started as an Independent Agency owner, and two years later joined the executive team to leads initiatives that support Independent Agencies with all aspects of their business. Steve's team is continually investing more into helping Network members grow sales and improve workflow, including increasing  support  with enhancements to our patented tech,  Agent Power™ , an award-winning Mastermind Program™ ,  a new in-house education program specifically designed for those new to the travel industry,  Travel Agent Education Powered by Avoya  and much more.

When it comes to travel, we’re experts – and we’re ready to help you start your journey in this exciting industry. The Avoya Travel Academy provides entrepreneurs new to the travel industry with an educational experience that prepares you to successfully own and operate an independent travel business.

By registering and paying for PRO Package, you are agreeing to inclusions, terms, and cancellation policies. Inclusions are listed below and you can click here to view the Terms, Conditions, Cancellations, and Refund Policy page.

Inclusions:

• The program can be completed in approx. 35-40 hours of studying and reading or listening.
• Note: Test Your Knowledge Quizzes and the TAEC™ test are not available in audio format.
• In this 90 days, education must be completed, as well as Travel Agent Education Certification (TAEC™) Test taken and passed successfully, if you wish to obtain a certification certificate. This is a program that you can use as an Independent Agency (IA) in the Avoya Travel Network of IAs or in relation to any other host or travel platform company.
• This is a comprehensive, online, and self-paced program; helping you chart your own path to success.
• Everything from a travel industry overview, geography, preparing for success, business ideas, types of leisure travel, industry suppliers, where do I go from here – PLUS more!
• Please note: Test Your Knowledge Quizzes and the TAEC™ test are not available in audio format.
• Recorded Webinars from Industry leaders.  Online presentations by leading travel industry experts, sharing their expertise and knowledge contributing to the foundation of your success.
• Please note: The TAEC™ exam is not available in audio format.
• Support  from known travel industry leaders and experts with over 100+ years of combined travel industry experience.

Upon completion and passing of the TAEC™ exam within 90 days of registration, you will receive:

• Membership inclusions: CLIA Personal ID (not a printed card), access to comprehensive professional development and training, cruise line and partner commission opportunities, and exclusive personal travel perks and discounts. Individual Agent Membership also opens the door for you to pursue and achieve CLIA Certification.
• The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) is the world’s leading association of travel professionals. ASTA is the global advocate for travel agencies, the travel industry and the traveling public. They champion ethical and traveler-friendly practices and policies at every level of government and throughout the travel and hospitality industry. ASTA members are all bound by a shared code of ethics.
• Joining the Avoya Network as an Independent Agency owner .  Value $495 . Once course is complete, you will work with the Avoya Network Expansion team to complete necessary paperwork to affiliate with the Avoya Network as an Independent Agency owner.

Please Note:  

• At this time, the Avoya Network can only offer affiliation with Independent Agencies who reside in the United States. If you reside in a country other than the United States and pay for any Avoya Travel Academy courses and/or options, your Independent Agency will not be able to join the Avoya Network once complete.
• If you purchase the PRO package, and for some reason your Independent Agency is not accepted for Avoya Network affiliation, a refund for the difference between the PRO Package and the ESSENTIAL package will be processed.

Cancellation Policy

We are making a big investment in your professional development by allocating space for you within our education platform, even though we realize you can use the resources in this package to become associated with a different host or travel platform. We are confident that Avoya is by far the best choice out there for you and we hope you agree. Accordingly, the following cancellation policies will apply:

• All  registration costs are  100% non-refundable at time of purchase .
• Registration is non-transferrable .

All products purchased from Avoya Travel Academy are  NON-REFUNDABLE . This includes, but is not limited to, memberships/ subscriptions/registrations/ event registrations; online/ downloaded courses and resources; textbooks and reference materials; and/or resources not created by Avoya Travel Academy (3rd-party products).
