Wir (eine Band die im Stil von BN spielt) sind absolute Fans der Gruppe und haben schon viele Konzerte besucht. Uns fällt auf, dass die Qualität der Konzerte, aber auch die Qualität des begleitenden Events, nachlässt und leider den Zenit überschritten hat. Als Beispiel sei das Konzert in Merseburg genannt. Die Musik und die Präsentation der Band stimmt nicht mehr. Ellenlange Wartezeit bis endlich die Band auf die Bühne kommt. Zwischen den Titeln nervige, lange Dialoge zwischen den Bandmitgliedern was man als nächsten Song spielen will. Nach unserem Dafürhalten hatte man keinen abgesprochenen Songablauf. Ein genervter Blackmor der keine Lust hatte an dem Abend, in keinster weise. Ich erwarte von einem Ritchi Blackmor, selbst nach zehn Bier und zehn Whisky, seine Parts einwandfrei rüberzubringen. Das ist für ihn Tagesgeschäft. Dann diese Klamaukkisten wie "Jägermeister" ect. Was soll das? Wer solchen Schei... hören will soll zu einer Jahrmarktsband gehen. Ein Lichtblick ist bei jedem Konzert natürlich Candice Night, die immer alles gibt, der Keyboarder David Baranowski und der Drummer David Keith (Leider waren beide in Merseburg aufgrund des schlechten Aufbaus auf der Bühne nicht zu sehen) Dazu noch ein Wort zum Bassisten Mike Clemente. Er fügt sich trotz seiner Qualitäten nach wie vor nicht in das musikalische Gefüge ein wie zuvor Bob Curiano. (Lang ist's her) "Weniger ist mehr" hat Mike Clemente noch immer nicht verstanden. Insgesamt eine ernüchternde Einschätzung. Wir bezweifeln, weitere Konzerte von BN zu besuchen. Wir wollen diese tolle Band, deren Songs wir jede Woche spielen und Auslöser zur Gründung unserer Formation war, in guter Erinnerung behalten. Da fällt ein "Carry on" schon schwer.

Mittelprächtig!

Eingeleitet von einer relativ albernen deutschen "Märchen-Vorband" gab es ein Blackmore's Night-Konzert, das im Wesentlichen von der Stimme und Liebenswürdigkeit einer Candice Night getragen wurde. Solide Musikerarbeit und ein etwas merkwürdig aufgelegter Herr Blackmore waren da eher schmückendes Beiwerk. Das Bühnengeschehen zwischen den Songs wirkte oft improvisiert und teilweise erschreckend unprofessionell, wenn z.B. das Umschaltknacken vom Gitarrenkabel beim Gitarrenwechsel laut zu hören war oder es gefühlt ewig dauerte, bis man sich per Zunicken über den nächsten Songbeginn einig wurde. Blackmore griff zwischendurch immer mal wieder zum Bierbecher, den er dann später einem weiblichen Fan reichte. Da er kein Mikrofon hatte, konnte man seine häufigen Zwischenbemerkungen nicht verstehen. Die Setlist orientierte sich am Prinzip "for the masses" und war da schon ziemlich nah an Santiano dran. Hinzu kam ein ulkiger Fanclub auf den ersten beiden Reihen mit einem nervigen Fotografen, der ständig vor der Bühne in Bewegung war. Ich wollte Ritchie sehen wie er Gitarre spielt - das habe ich und das war okay. Er wirkte aber insgesamt schon sehr großväterlich. Rainbow-Konzert wäre mir lieber gewesen, aber das brauche ich jetzt nicht mehr.

Etwas weniger quatschen wäre angebracht gewesen. Dann hätte man vielleicht 2...3 Lieder mehr spielen können.

A fantastic summer's evening watching this great band from just a few feet from the stage. Fabulous atmosphere with many dressing up and getting right into the theme.

It was our first time seeing Blackmore's Night, travelling from Essex to be there, and worth every mile. Fabulous singing from the amazing Candice together with humour and banter among the band members and Richie's unmistakable skill on the strings of his many guitars... what a great combination!

My husband and I love this band, Paul being a Deep Purple fan since his teens (just a few years ago!).. together with our interest in Medieval times, being sure we've met before sometime long, long ago, possibly under a violet moon?!

We would happily join the roving fan base and see them again, especially in similar settings.

Small venue so special intimacy

Some really sweet notes in particular in the acoustic numbers with Candice and Ritchie.

The band are a very talented group of muso's a special bunch.

Felt fortunate to see as came from Australia and this was an opportunistic booking and got some of the last seats.

Highly recommended

I was waiting to see blackmore's night. My brother came to my home from another country just to see them Three day before the concert I received an email telling me from that the concert was suspended and that I will reicive the reimbursement in a few days.

BLACKMORE'S NIGHT have announced the details of their German castle tour, "The Village Lanterne Summer 2006" , also featuring THE GEYERS in the "special guest: slot. The dates are as follows:

As previously reported, BLACKMORE'S NIGHT 's latest album, "The Village Lanterne" , entered the German national chart at position No. 13 before dropping down to No. 32 in its second week of release. The CD was issued in the U.S. on April 4 via SPV .

BLACKMORE'S NIGHT will perform "Child In Time/Mond Tanz" on May 21 on Germany's "Hit Giganten" show on the Sat 1 channel. Other guest performers include the SCORPIONS , TOTO and NINA HAGEN .

BLACKMORE'S NIGHT 's "Christmas Eve" single entered the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart at position No. 38 last December. The track comes off BLACKMORE'S NIGHT 's "Beyond the Sunset - The Romantic Collection" , which came out in September 2004. "Christmas Eve" was one of three bonus Christmas songs included on the CD, alongside "We Three Kings" and "Emmanuel" .

Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night have created a new genre of music for all ages, inspired by many melodies of the Renaissance period, and "Blackmoreized" into contemporary music. This is the sound of Blackmore's Night.

In 1997, Blackmore's Night released their debut CD, Shadow of the Moon, which immediately went gold in Japan and earned awards worldwide. Meanwhile, their devoted fan base is growing exponentially as the band has created a genre of music for all ages. From grandparents to children, everyone has their medieval mood music and gypsy dances. At the helm of this band, is award winning lyricist and vocalist, Candice Night, who not only contributes her unique, entrancing vocals, but deftly navigates seven medieval woodwinds, including chanters, shawms, pennywhistles and recorders. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and celebrated guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore, who traverses between acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, mandola and hurdy gurdy.

Further enhancing the band's inspired sound are keyboardist/back-up vocalist Bard David, Violinist, Scarlett Fiddler, back up vocalist/rhythm guitar, Lady Jessie , bassist/rhythmic guitarist Earl Grey, and percussionist Troubadour of Aberdeen. With lyrics penned by Night, the collective embraces the aura of the old world inn, from madrigals and ballads to good old fashioned Renaissance-inspired pub songs.

Additionally, every one of Blackmore's Night's studio CD (11 in total) has debuted in the top 2 of the Billboard charts, many of which entered or remained at the number 1 spot. They have earned Awards such as "Best Album of the Year", "Best Vocal Album of the Year" and their sold-out concerts in castles and UNESCO sites worldwide are filled with thousands of fans dressed in Renaissance garb, dancing and singing as if time stood still. Blackmore's Night is a British-American traditional folk rock band formed in 1997, consisting mainly of Ritchie Blackmore (acoustic guitar, hurdy gurdy, mandola, mandolin, nyckelharpe, and electric guitar) and Candice Night (lead vocals, lyricist, and woodwinds). Their lineup has seen many changes over the years; Blackmore and Night have been the only two constant members. They have released eleven studio albums.
