‘Hotel Only’ Cancellation Policy (strictly enforced):

In booking a hotel reservation(s) you agree to the following cancellation policy for your Boston Marathon hotel reservation(s) through Marathon Tours & Travel (MTT). As these are special discounted room rates for the marathon event, we remain consistent with enforcing the  minimum cancelation policy as outlined below.   Please note that when a room is booked, this removes it from the inventory for other runners.  By working together as a community, we are able to continue offering high quality service and hotel accommodations at low rates.

All cancellations received:

  • From your time of booking and through December 31, 2023 will be charged a $30 handling fee.
  • On January 1, 2024 and through January 31, 2024 will be charged a $40 handling fee.
  • On February 1, 2024 and through February 29, 2024 will be charged a $60 handling fee.
  • On March 1, 2024 and until seven (7) days prior to your arrival date of your hotel reservation will be charged one nights’ room and tax.
  • Seven (7) days or less prior to your arrival date, you will be charged the room and taxes for the total nights of your reservation.  For example, if you booked three nights and canceled five days before you were to arrive, MTT will charge your credit card on file for the three room nights plus tax.

NO SHOWS will be charged the full room and taxes for total dates of the reservation, unless the hotel has a different policy. It is important to notify the hotel directly if you will not make the trip as planned, or if you are delayed and will not arrive as planned. Please check with your hotel for any additional cancellation conditions.

Cancellations are charged per room reserved. Applicable charges will be applied directly to the credit card provided for your hotel room(s).

I used to book rooms for my Boston marathon directly with hotels, but I love booking rooms with you now!

I am so appreciative of you and Marathon Tours & Travel for what you do for the Boston Marathon runners. I plan on stopping by your booth at the expo to say hello and thank you in person.

Love dealing with MTT! Wish everyone offered the same great service you do.

I plan on using Marathon Tours again because everything was perfect and the staff was excellent and caring.

The hotel location was fantastic – just the right amount of information for group get togethers and time to explore on our own.

My motivation for going with the VIP Package was for the private coach bus transfer and the no-hassle hotel booking at a preferred location. The coach was fantastic.

We are grateful to you and your team at Marathon Tours once again for a well-crafted event. We stayed at the handsome Newbury Hotel with its attentive staff and dined at wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Your work made our visit much easier to plan. I made sure nearby passengers on my flight home were told to contact Marathon Tours before their next race.

I had a very, very pleasant stay at the Godfrey Hotel in Boston. They gave us runners a very nice surprise when we got back to the hotel. Excellent experience! I strongly recommend it.

Allyson is amazing! Her efficiency, courtesy, and conscientiousness are all extraordinary. She epitomizes the best “customer service” possible! She is consistently excellent, because I distinctly remember every instance of communication from her, over time, all top notch! She is the ideal Ambassador for Marathon Tours & Travel.

Marathon Tours & Travel, keep up the awesome work! We have been working with your staff for at least the last 13 or 14 years – reserving a block of rooms for our charity team runners and support staff for the Boston Marathon. You always come through, and it is easy for our runners to reserve rooms through the link you set up for us. Allyson has always been wonderful, but especially this year with the date change for the Boston Marathon, trying to find a block of rooms for our runners in an already overcrowded Boston. She is always pleasant and helpful, and does her best to go above and beyond to accommodate all of us. Thank you ALL- I know these are trying times with so many major marathons changing dates, and then cancelling- and you are all doing a great job. I know this is stressful for everyone, especially all of you, as you try to help us all with our accommodations. Keep up the good work. Dick Hoyt

I wanted to send a note to acknowledge the outstanding communication, action and response from Allyson Johnson with the postponement of the Boston Marathon. These unprecedented times, and her commitment to customer satisfaction has been outstanding and I thank you!

You guys are so on top of these complicated arrangements – and the communication to all of us. Very impressive!

Just wanted to say thank you for all your work. The situation we are in is unprecedented and I really appreciate your continuous communication. Keep it up and stay healthy!

You all are doing an amazing job! I am so appreciative of Marathon Tours & Travel efforts to deal with this obvious setback. You communication is so clear and concise—well done! Kudos to your staff!

I have always booked my room through Marathon Tours for Boston. Next year will be my 4th straight year running the marathon.

The hotel that I booked on-line (Sheraton Boston) was only available starting Friday night before the marathon, but I was planning to arrive on Thursday. I called Marathon Tours to see if they could add Thursday night to my reservation, and Allyson was able to do that after working with the hotel. Thank you!

Really nice and smooth experience when booking on marathon tours’ website. Also easy and fast to make changes when I wanted to add one more night to my booking.

Really simple process. I booked for Boston 2014 using Marathon Tours, so I was happy to be able to do so again.

Thank you for making this Boston experience one to be remember.

Great trip! The Hotel Package was very well organized and thought out.

The package was better than I expected, and I’m lucky to have been on it!

My booking experience was smooth. Found the most reasonable prices in Boston on your site.

Great selection of hotels and when there were questions, I was able to get answers in a timely manner.

I just wanted to express my thanks to you and your entire group for an incredible weekend. I mistakenly assumed your package would simply ease my burden of a hotel room and transportation; however, it was so much more. The talks by Kathrine and Roger did so much for me and my nerves the night before my first Boston Marathon. Their talks and books with continue to inspire my passion for running. The friends I made at the dinner and my entire experience were enhanced by your hard work.

Thank you for all of your hard work that led to a wonderful Boston experience for us. The hotel room was perfect. The dinner and the talks from Kathryn and Roger were wonderful and inspiring. Also the bus transfer situation was just fine, with no problems whatsoever!

Thank you for such a quick response. I appreciate the great customer service you always provide.

Thanks for a great experience! Marathon Tours did a wonderful job in making my first Boston marathon into a wonderful weekend. I will definitely keep Marathon Tours in mind for my next race!

Enjoy the world’s most historic golf course

St Andrews is one of those sporting venues whose importance extends above and beyond the competitions it hosts, making it is a must-visit destination for anyone with a passion for both golf and history. The sport (or something close to it) has been played on the Links at St Andrews since around 1400 AD and today the iconic Old Course is renowned throughout the world as the “home of golf”. The whole place is steeped in history. In 1457 golf was banned by King James II of Scotland (who accused it of distracting young men from their archery), and it wasn’t until James IV saw sense in 1502 – becoming a golfer himself – that the royal blessing was restored. Over the centuries, St Andrews has reached deep into the lives of those who have called it home and become a place of almost mythical intrigue around the world. By the 19th century, many local people had strong links to the Links – as players, caddies, ball makers or club makers. And more recently, the thousands of visitors making pilgrimages here have ensured golf is still a big part of St Andrews today. St Andrews Links is the largest golfing complex in Europe and all six 18-hole courses can be booked in advance.

Golf vacations at St Andrews – what's included?

The experience programs we offer are based on guaranteed Old Course tee times and can be adapted to suit varying requirements. Visitors come to St Andrews on their own, with their families, in groups of friends, with clients to entertain and with long-planned pilgrimages to make – and we welcome them all with enthusiasm, warmth, professionalism and attention to detail.

The Experience St Andrews has been appointed an Authorised Provider of Old Course Tee Times by the St Andrews Links Trust. This makes us one of the few suppliers able to provide guaranteed tee times for the Old Course.

The 5-Night Experience  includes five rounds, executive transfers to and from the courses, and a memories photo book of you playing he Old Course.

And then there is the  Father & Son Tournament . This is a five-day programme including a 72-hole two-man team competition, five nights' accommodation at the 5* Old Course Hotel and daily transfers to and from the courses, plus a Farewell Grand Dinner & Prize-giving in full Scottish attire (kilt hire and drinks are included). Players are presented with father & son gifts and sent a memories book to remind them of the event.

All the programs can be customized to ensure you enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Whichever programme you choose, our dedicated representative will be on hand throughout your stay to ensure everything runs perfectly.

We’re guessing your passion for the sport will also put golf breaks elsewhere in Scotland on your radar. That’s why we also offer programs taking in various other top-class Scottish golf destinations, including Gleneagles, Muirfield and many more.

It’s difficult to overstate the power of St Andrews as a magnet for golfers. But look a little further and you’ll find a lot to please those with interests beyond the fairways as well. Of course, Scotland offers a stunning spread of landscapes to be explored, and city sightseeing trips, distillery tours and excursions to castles, palaces and museums can all be arranged.  Contact us   to book or find out more.

Local staff with specialised golf knowledge will ensure every detail is taken care of.

Traveler Reviews

I cant recommend this tour highly enough. I asked a friend to recommend one thing to do with limited time in Moscow and he said, check out the metro. I did one better, and went on this individual tour yesterday with my very well informed guide, Alina. She took me to a number of stations and explained the history, politics and meanings behind the different sculpures and artworks in a way that made the whole experience far more meaningful than getting on and off the metro without guidance would have done. I had a really fantastic time and was thoroughly impressed. To top it all off, we had lunch and Alina suggested some great things for me to do, even whatsapping me maps, suggestions, and internet links. Today she followed up by messaging me to ask how my day was going and if I had any questions about the city, or recommendations for places to eat, etc. A great tour, a lovely guide and a fantastic experience. I couldnt recommend this tour, or Alina, any more highly. Fantastic!

Dear Friends,

My son and myself visited Moscow for a holiday in April 2018. And we had selected this fantastic tour. Our Guide Mrs. Julia came sharp at 10.00 AM even though she was not feeling well and had sore throat. Thereafter she took us to many Metro stations. Though I had already visited Moscow last year and seen all these stations, she gave phenomenal historic background and many interesting facts. She was almost fluent in English and and a good knowledge of Russian Culture, food and many other things. Overall we enjoyed thoroughly and I will highly recommend this tour with Julia if possible. Truly amazing person. And even more amazing tour.

Our Tour booked for 26 December 2017 was absolutely amazing. Our guide Julia picked us up from our Hotel in St Peterburg on time in a luxury minivan. Thanks to Julia we were able to see most of the tourist attractions that day. She went out of her way for us to make our day special. She had a vast knowledge of all the places that we visited. Lunch was special in a typical Russian restaurant with food from the region. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Picked up in the hotel lobby by our guide, Lylie, who then walked us to the closest Metro. She walked/trained us to 13 different stations and then explained the history of the metro and the significance of the decor in each station. We had plenty of time to photo, view the decor, watch and ride the trains and observe the people coming and going with their daily affairs. The art work/mosaics/sculptures/stained glass/ marble all had a role to play in presenting the history of communist Russia. The Russian metro well deserves the title of the most interesting and outstanding metro in the world. Lylie then took us to lunch, advised us on menu choices and their significance in the Russian culture and was very happy answering our questions on how the younger generation is responding to the new Russia. We had an outstanding guide, a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this tour over and above other tours which merely include a visit to a small number of stations. Lesley and David - Sydney

Great guide! She explained everything and took me to all the important stations. She knew her stuff! Worth it!

Our guide ,Dacha, was charming and very informative. We took the 2 hour tour and saw what Dacha thought were the most beautiful and interesting metro stations. The Metro is certainly worthy of its museum status and we were glad to have some of the designs and features explained to us.

EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ Patch Notes 12.0

Coming to the ea play list: discover new courses, play as jack nicklaus, and take on the augusta national par 3 course..

On April 2nd, EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ will receive an update that includes a new season, several gameplay improvements, and game-wide bug fixes. Read on to learn about what’s coming next.

Welcome to Season 11!

Season 11 launches as the largest content update to date for EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ with the release of four new courses and the ultimate Major champion of all time, Jack Nicklaus joins as the first playable golfer added since the game's launch. Moreover, starting April 4th, EA Play^ members can enjoy the EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ updates available via the Play List. As with all previous updates, the new courses and Jack Nicklaus are included with no additional purchase required. This now makes a total of 39 playable courses and 23 playable pro golfers.

Included as a 2024 Major Course, Valhalla Golf Course is located in Louisville, Kentucky, a modern, parkland-style course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Characterized by its wide fairways, large, undulating greens, and challenging water hazards, it has been the venue for multiple major championships, including the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup. Since it hosts the 2024 PGA Championship, Career mode has been updated to have the PGA Championship rotate every season between Valhalla, Oak Hill, and Southern Hills.

Pinehurst No. 2, the second 2024 Major Course to debut, is located in North Carolina and is a world-renowned golf course known for its crowned, undulating greens and strategically placed bunkers. Designed by the legendary Donald Ross, it has hosted more single golf championships, including the U.S. Open Championship and PGA Championship, than any other course in America. It will host the 2024 U.S. Open Championship, so Career mode has been updated to rotate the U.S. Open every season between Pinehurst No. 2, The Los Angeles Country Club, and The Country Club.

The third 2024 Major Course, renowned for its "Postage Stamp" eighth hole, is Royal Troon. Known as a world-class course, with traditional links located on the rugged coast of Scotland. Offering golfers challenging wind conditions, deep bunkers, large putting greens, and undulating fairways, Royal Troon is a frequent stop in the Open Championship rota, including this year. The Open will now rotate in Career mode between Royal Troon, Royal Liverpool, and St Andrews.

Further celebrating the tradition of Masters week, the Augusta National Par 3 Course will also be added to the game. The course is stunningly beautiful and serves as the traditional venue for the Par 3 Contest held annually on the eve of the Masters Tournament.

All four of these incredible courses are now available to play in Quick Play and Private Match and will be featured in Online and Tournament playlist rotations as well. As previous Ryder Cup hosts, Pinehurst No. 2 and Valhalla have also been added to Ryder Cup formats in Quick Play, Online, and Private Match.

Jack Nicklaus, often referred to as “the Golden Bear," is renowned for his powerful drives, precision iron play, and exceptional putting ability, which contributed to his record 18 major championship wins. Nicklaus's six Masters titles add to his legendary status as the greatest Major Champion golfer of all time. When playing as Jack Nicklaus, you’ll notice that he has his own set of golf clubs, four outfits to choose from, and his unique swing animation. Jack Nicklaus is available to play in any format that supports playing with pro golfers.

Season 11 Pro Pass** includes a wide variety of cosmetics in the premium tier including a selection of spring-themed apparel, Jack Nicklaus’ clubs, and one of his outfits. Completing Season 11 Pro Pass will earn you Jack Nicklaus’ '65 Masters Ball Spec in the free tier and the J.LINDEBERG “KV Tour - Azalea” outfit in the premium tier. Throughout the season you’ll earn tokens to level up your Pro Pass by completing live Quests and playing rounds in Online, Tournaments, and Career modes.

Challenges mode has been updated with two new challenge series. The “Drive Chip and Putt” challenges series offers a taste of what it feels like to compete in the famous junior golf competition. The “Jack Nicklaus” challenge series showcases the history of the Golden Bear, featuring some of the best rounds from his Major Championship victories, and a variety of other memorable moments from his legendary career.

Additional Patch Notes

  • Jack Nicklaus’ swing animation has been added to the Store rotation.
  • Added a “Starter Bundle” which includes a set of rare specs and a currency pack.
  • New items added to the store rotation including the TaylorMade Qi10 Driver, Scotty Cameron Circle T putters, and several new apparel items.
  • Increased matchmaking search timeout from 2 to 5 minutes.
  • Updated the “Into Out” swing animation.
  • Fixed the “TaylorMade MySpider - Red” left-handed version of the putter being colored white instead of red.
  • [Kiawah] Moved several shrubs and bunker footprint decals that were incorrectly placed.
  • [Career] Fix to enable changing outfits in Career mode lobbies.
  • [Select Golfer] Updated Patrick Cantlay’s picture.
  • [Store] Updated thumbnail icons for “In to Out” and “Sweep” swing animations.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
  • The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is  90 seconds .
