Apogee Repeaters Locations On Neomuna In Destiny 2: Lightfall

After the World's First Root of Nightmares raid completion, collectibles called Apogee Repeaters were scattered across Neomuna.

By Saniya Ahmed on March 13, 2023 at 6:36AM PDT

Apogee Repeaters are collectibles scattered across Neomuna after the World's First Root of Nightmare raid completion. Grabbing each Apogee Repeater gives 100 reputation with Nimbus and contributes to multiple Neomuna Triumphs. However, there are no gear or flair rewards for collecting all Apogee Repeaters.

Apogee Repeaters look like floating spikes of Pyramid tech with a distinctive vertical, golden Resonance glow. If you’re itching to collect every Apogee Repeater, this guide details their locations across Neomuna. Keep in mind, collecting all 39 of these Apogee Repeaters requires a lot of jumping and grappling.

Límíng Harbor - 8 Apogee Repeaters

Maya's retreat - 3 apogee repeaters, radiosonde - 3 apogee repeaters, ahimsa park - 8 apogee repeaters, typhon imperator - 3 apogee repeaters, zephyr concourse - 8 apogee repeaters, esi terminal - 3 apogee repeaters, irkalla complex - 3 apogee repeaters.

Second Apogee Repeater in Límíng Harbor.

The second is above a fan sitting next to the Límíng Harbor landing zone.

Third Apogee Repeater in Límíng Harbor.

The third is in front of the large fan opposite the Límíng Harbor landing zone. You have to climb up the silver, twirly statue to get to it.

Fourth Apogee Repeater in Límíng Harbor.

Fifth Apogee Repeater in Límíng Harbor.

Following the counterclockwise pattern, you'll a set of two large billboards near the road that leads to Zephyr Concourse. Jump onto the first billboard to get the Apogee Repeater.

Sixth Apogee Repeater in Límíng Harbor.

Near the Neptunian ocean, there is a large teal-colored crane that has the collectible.

Seventh Apogee Repeater in Límíng Harbor.

Looking off at the ocean toward the outside of Radiosonde, jump on the awnings to get to the Apogee Repeater.

Eighth Apogee Repeater in Límíng Harbor.

This one is a bit tricky to get. The collectible is beside the tall structure above the Neptunian ocean. Jump up the metal bars inside the building to get to the Apogee.

First Apogee Repeater in Maya's Retreat.

From Límíng Harbor, go through the glittery caves until you reach Maya’s Retreat. You’ll find the first Apogee Repeater in Maya’s Retreat on the right side of the platform against the rocks. It is above the fan.

Second Apogee Repeater in Maya's Retreat.

The second is on the last fan on the platform facing toward the canyon.

Third Apogee Repeater in Maya's Retreat.

The third Apogee Repeater in Maya’s Retreat is on a canyon rock to the left of the platform. You can get to it by jumping across the side of the canyon.

First Apogee Repeater in Radiosonde.

From Maya’s Retreat, head to the Radiosonde--beside Límíng Harbor. From the Límíng Harbor landing zone, turn left and enter the ship-like building. When you first arrive at Radiosonde, the collectible is directly in front. Cross to the next platform and jump onto the ledge to grab the Apogee Repeater.

Second Apogee Repeater in Radiosonde.

Next, head all the way down Radiosonde and climb up the stairs to get to the next one.

Third Apogee Repeater in Radiosonde.

Finally, when you enter the last room, turn to your left and shoot the vent above the other door. Follow the vent until you get to a circular room with Cabal enemies. Follow the stairs upward until you get to a pink-lit room to get Radiosonde’s last Apogee Repeater.

First Apogee Repeater in Ahimsa Park.

Fast travel to either Strider’s Gate or Límíng Harbor and make your way to Ahimsa Park. Start with getting the Apogee Repeater on the ruins above the road that leads to Zephyr Concourse.

Second Apogee Repeater in Ahimsa Park.

In the southern part of Ahimsa Park, there is a glass awning on the side of the building with the collectible--it's sitting above a gorge.

Third Apogee Repeater in Ahimsa Park.

Another Apogee Repeater is above the cyan and pink dome building at the center of Ahimsa Park.

Fourth Apogee Repeater in Ahimsa Park.

On the opposite side of the dome building, there is another one.

Fifth Apogee Repeater in Ahimsa Park.

Above a Pyramid pillar in front of the Typhon Imperator, you’ll find the next Apogee Repeater.

Sixth Apogee Repeater in Ahimsa Park.

There is another one above a different Pyramid pillar, which is also in front of the Typhon Imperator.

Seventh Apogee Repeater in Ahimsa Park.

Then, head inside the dome building and jump onto the platforms on top. The Apogee Repeater is next to the jellyfish mural.

Eighth Apogee Repeater in Ahimsa Park.

The last one in Ahimsa Park is above the road that leads to Strider’s Gate, it’s on top of a pink building.

First Apogee Repeater in Typhon Imperator.

The Typhon Imperator is accessible from Ahimsa Park. Enter the Typhon Imperator and follow the path as you did for the Downfall mission in the Lightfall campaign. When you go through the maze-like treasure room with the gold and statue displays, head further down to a smaller dim-lit room to get the Apogee Repeater sitting above the large doorway--it’s right before the narrow jumping puzzle hallway.

Second Apogee Repeater in Typhon Imperator.

You’ll find the next collectible in the corner of the narrow jumping puzzle hallway with pillars lined against the walls. The collectible comes before the room with the colorful cubes and golden Calus statue.

Third Apogee Repeater in Typhon Imperator.

From the hallway, enter the room with the golden Calus statue. The Apogee Repeater is on the statue's head.

First Apogee Repeater in Zephyr Concourse.

From Ahimsa Park, take the road over to Zephyr Concourse. Near the road to Ahimsa Park, there is a yellow building on the side. The edge of the building has the Apogee Repeater, but it’s easiest to grapple to the balcony instead of jumping to it.

Second Apogee Repeater in Zephyr Concourse.

Near the road that leads to Strider’s Gate, there is a dark pink building with fans on the front. One of those fans has the collectible. You can jump across the awnings at the front of the building to get to it.

Third Apogee Repeater in Zephyr Concourse.

The next one is on the side of a pink-colored building with a large jellyfish mural, which sits next to the road to Strider’s Gate. The Apogee Repeater is on a pair of fans that sits above a gorge.

Fourth Apogee Repeater in Zephyr Concourse.

Then, walk across the multiple large awnings covering the shopping area to get the Apogee Repeater on a small platform above the Esi Terminal gate.

Fifth Apogee Repeater in Zephyr Concourse.

By the road that leads to Límíng Harbor, jump onto the awning that's above the shopping area and grab the collectible.

Sixth Apogee Repeater in Zephyr Concourse.

Near the outdoor bar, there's a stage with large speakers and seating. Look behind the stage then jump down to the platform below to grab the Apogee Repeater.

Seventh Apogee Repeater in Zephyr Concourse.

Making your way to the road that leads to Límíng Harbor, peek under the bridge by the doorway of the circular red building at the center of Zephyr Concourse--this bridge is in front of the stage area. The Apogee Repeater is on a pillar under the bridge.

Eighth Apogee Repeater in Zephyr Concourse.

Finally, enter the circular red building with the spinning structure. The last Apogee Repeater in Zephyr Concourse is atop one of the screen walls.

First Apogee Repeater in Esi Terminal.

From Zephyr Concourse, go through the gates of Esi Terminal. When your screen says that you’ve arrived at Esi Terminal, the first Apogee Repeater will be on top of a tree to the right.

Second Apogee Repeater in Esi Terminal.

Head to the other side and go down the ramp, where you'll find some Cabal enemies. Jump onto the metal bar to grab the Apogee Repeater.

Third Apogee Repeater in Esi Terminal.

From the ramp, go further down and through the building until it leads you outdoors, where you’ll find a crashed Cabal drop pod. The Apogee Repeater is at the center of that area.

First Apogee Repeater in Irkalla Complex.

Head through the doorway next to the large eye mural in Esi Terminal and get to Irkalla Complex. When you get to Irkalla Complex, don’t go through the portal just yet. Near the portal, you'll find a building with small platforms you can jump on. Following those platforms and up the red construction crane, jump onto rooftops to get the first Apogee Repeator in Irkalla Complex.

Second Apogee Repeater in Irkalla Complex.

The second one in this region is on the large reddish platform--recognizably one the tallest and largest platforms in Irkalla Complex. You can get to it by jumping on the smaller platforms on the sides of buildings. When you get to the large reddish platform, jump onto the ledge underneath to grab the collectible. That ledge is thin and hard to get to, so aim your grapple at the metal bars holding that ledge to reel you in.

Third Apogee Repeater in Irkalla Complex.

For the very last Apogee Repeater, you can go through the portal to get it. But if you’re already on the large reddish platform, jump across the broken bridge and onto the fortress wall. The collectible is sitting on the cannon.

In addition to the collectibles, the Final Warning Exotic sidearm was originally a post-raid quest but was accessible earlier than planned when Bungie unlocked all Strand Fragments. How to Unlock Additional Landing Zones in Neomuna in Destiny 2

Image of Daphne Fama

If there’s one thing Guardians like, it’s convenience. Why walk when you can run? Why run when you can ride a Sparrow? Why ride a Sparrow when you can use a quick travel point. Here’s how to unlock all additional landing zones in Neomuna in Destiny 2.

Neomuna isn’t the biggest world we’ve seen, but it can be a bit of a pain to navigate. The roads are broken up and filled with Cabal, who love shooting at you. Some of the turns are a bit rough on a Sparrow. And, of course, there’s the inconvenience.

I don’t want to drive, I just want to be there.

Fortunately, there’s a way to unlock Landing Zones or quick travel points across the map. You just need to complete the Lightfall Campaign.

The Lightfall Campaign has eight missions, and the entire campaign takes between five to eight hours. But once you’re done, you’ll have access to new quests, bounties, and benefits. New Landing Zones in Neomuna are one of those benefits.

Just head back to Nimbus and you’ll find “Unlock Additional Landing Zones in Neomuna” in the second row of Nimbus’ offered rewards. Click it to accept it, and you don’t have to do anything else.

Related: What to Do With the Antennae From the Munitions Psion in Destiny 2

Now you’ll be able to quickly travel around the city, with new Landing Zones in the Hall of Heroes and Liming Harbor.

Don’t ask me why they included a Landing Zone in the Hall of Heroes, but not in Ahimsa Park and Zephyr Concourse. The development team works in mysterious ways that we normal players cannot hope to fathom.

But while you’re exploring, why not check out some of the Lost Sectors? Here’s our guide on how to find the Thrilladome , in the now easily accessible Liming Harbor.

Step 13: Go to the Hall of Heroes

The last step for Unfinished Business is to head into the Hall of Heroes.

Deterministic Chaos perks

Deterministic Chaos' perks

Deterministic Chaos comes with Polygonal Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, and Composite Stock. However, you’re more interested in the Exotic perks and traits:

  • Vexadecimal – While holding down the trigger, every fourth Heavy Metal projectile also makes targes volatile on impact.
  • Heavy Metal – While holding down the trigger, every fourth bullet becomes a heavy projectile that weakens targets on impact.

In essence, every fourth bullet will weaken a target and every sixteenth bullet makes it volatile. This makes it quite good at spreading a lot of damage while helping your allies deal more damage.

With Unfinished Business completed, you’ll be the proud owner of Deterministic Chaos, the brand new Machine Gun added to Destiny 2 with Lightfall. Be sure to read over our Exotic catalysts guide so you can improve all of your other powerful weapons. There’s also our Destiny 2 strategy guide for more quest guides.

How to get Destiny 2 Cloud Accretions in Lightfall

Collect Destiny 2 Cloud Accretions around Neomuna to increase your Neomuna Rank and get rewards from Nimbus

Destiny 2 Lightfall cloud accretion on Neomuna

Destiny 2 Cloud Accretions are Neomuna’s exclusive destination resource and collecting them gets you Neomuna Rank reputation. This is actually the sole purpose of Cloud Accretions in Destiny 2 Lightfall , and you won’t find them piling up in your inventory waiting to be used later as a currency or for crafting. However, this doesn't mean you should ignore Cloud Accretions as you patrol the city, as collecting them to increase your Neomuna Rank with Nimbus will unlock upgrades to get new Destiny 2 Neomuna loot engrams, upgrades, and bounties. Here’s what you need to know about finding Destiny 2 Lightfall Cloud Accretions on Neomuna and what they do. There are also several Lightfall quests that either require you to collect a number of Cloud Accretions, such as the Destiny 2 Unfinished Business quest , or have objectives that can be progressed by doing stuff around Neomuna, including collecting Cloud Accretions. These include the Destiny 2 From Zero and To Hero quests as well as Destiny 2 Maelstrom .

Destiny 2 Cloud Accretions are found around Neomuna

Cloud Accretions are destination resources that are found in the major locations of Neomuna – those are Zephyr Concourse, Ahimsa Park, and Liming Harbor – and the Lost Sectors found within these areas. They are scattered all over these locations, often tucked in corners where walls or furniture meet. To collect a Cloud Accretion, just approach one and follow the button prompt and you’ll get Glimmer and Neomuna Rank reputation – more on that below.

Destiny 2 Lightfall Neomuna cloud accretion in Zephy Concourse

If these new foes are proving a challenge, learn how to kill Destiny 2 Tormentors here.

If you want to go out on a Cloud Accretion-plundering mission, my best advice is to slap the Perfected Resource Detector mod on your Ghost to mark any Cloud Accretions within 75 meters of you. Alternatively, try the Wombo Detector Ghost Shell mod to detect both destination resources and chests within a smaller 50-meter range – increase your Neomuna Rank enough and you can get an upgrade from Nimbus that functions similarly to these Ghost mods. Like other destination resources, Cloud Accretions respawn fairly frequently, so you can ride several circuits of Neomuna on your Sparrow, collecting Cloud Accretions as you go.

Destiny 2 Cloud Accretions and Neomuna Rank

Collecting a Destiny 2 Cloud Accretion awards 20 Neomuna reputation and some Glimmer . The reputation goes towards your Neomuna Rank which is managed by Nimbus.

Destiny 2 Lightfall Nimbus vendor page and Neomuna rank

Fast travel to Striders’ Gate and speak to Nimbus to see the rewards they offer, including the Neomuna armor set, which you can unlock by increasing your Neomuna Rank. Do this by collecting Cloud Accretions and completing Neomuna bounties, Destiny 2 Heroic Public Events , Lost Sectors, Destiny 2 Terminal Overload events and more. Although, completing the Lightfall campaign will rank you up a good amount and will reveal more of Nimbus’s offerings. Nimbus also provides a Neomuna Engram every time you increase your Neomuna Rank so make sure you collect those too. At first, these Engrams just offer world loot found pretty much anywhere, but with some upgrades from Nimbus, they’ll provide previously acquired Neomuna weapons (sometimes with Deepsight) and armor. Be sure to also collect the Vex Incursion Countermeasures weekly bounty from Nimbus that awards a Polymorphic Shellcode. This gets you access to the weekly Partition mission in the VexNet for more Neomuna rewards!

A guardian holds a giant machine gun while looking for the Neomuna Region Chests in Destiny 2: Lightfall.

There are a total of nine Region Chests to find on the neon-soaked streets of Neomuna in Destiny 2: Lightfall . Just like the Region Chests from previous Patrol Zones in Destiny 2 , each one will reward you with a bit of loot, some glimmer, and some Neomuna Faction reputation.

They’re worth tracking down for all of that alone, but finding all the Region Chests on Neomuna is additionally essential: You’ll need them to complete the “ From Zero... ” and “ To Hero ” questlines. Here’s a map that points out the general locations for each Neomuna Region Chest:

 alt=

And if you’re looking for specifics on where to find all nine Neomuna region chests, read on.

Zephyr Concourse Region Chest #1

The first Zephyr Concourse Chest is relatively easy to get to. Keep to the right as you leave the spawn point on Neomuna, and you’ll come to a bridge that leads to the Zephyr Concourse.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

You’ll know you’re on the right track when you pass by a sick Cloudstrider mural. Keep following the road, and you’ll find yourself in Zephyr Concourse.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

As soon as you enter the area, jump onto the building on your left. If you look up, you should see a glass awning, jump on the awning, turn around, and you’ll be able to access the roof in front of you.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

The Region Chest should be directly in front of you, tucked away in a gutter.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Zephyr Concourse Region Chest #2

The second Region Chest in the Zephyr Concourse is in plain sight, behind glass in a display window with the only clear point of entry being an open air vent. To access this vent, you’ll want to point yourself toward the giant magenta billboard you’ll see once you enter the Concourse.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

On the level below the billboard, you’ll find a smashed shop window that features a weight-lifting set and an open vent on the upper left.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Head through that vent, and you’ll find the Region Chest.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Zephyr Concourse Region Chest #3

To get to the final Region Chest in Zephyr Concourse, you’ll need to go through the central hub you see as you enter the area (it’s the giant orange beehive-looking thing).

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Keep to your left and go through the first opening on your left, and you’ll see some bollards in front of a set of stairs to your right that lead to a bar area.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

If you head to the back of the bar, you’ll find another set of stairs that lead to a large pavilion. If you peer over the edge on your left, you should notice a long gantry and several glass awnings. First, you’ll want to land on the gantry and then jump onto the awning closest to you. You’ll find the Region Chest tucked into the attached alcove.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Ahimsa Park Region Chest #1

To get to Ahimsa Park, you’ll want to keep to the left as you leave the spawn point on Neomuna.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Keep following the road until you stumble across a warzone full of Cabal.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

If you keep to the left as you enter Ahimsa Park, you’ll find a guardrail you can follow that eventually points to a small outcropping.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Jump onto that ledge, turn around, and head into the cave in front of you. You’ll find the first Region Chest for Ahimsa Park in there.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Ahimsa Park Region Chest #2

The second Region Chest in Ahimsa Park is arguably the most difficult to reach. Continue to follow the road into the area through a tunnel, and keep to your right. Hang a right once you see the small streetlamp and go forward past the small rock outcropping until you hit an area with a couple of planters overlooking an abyss.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

If you look up and to your left, you’ll see a pair of glass awnings, the second Region Chest is perched on the far one.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

To get there, you’ll want to jump on the awning that’s pointed downward and use that to get to the chest. This jumps isn’t exactly easy to pull off, so you may want to spec your gear into the mobility stat if you’re having too much trouble.

Ahimsa Park Region Chest #3

The final Region Chest for Ahimsa Park is located in front of that giant ship with Calus’ face on it.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

If you explore the rocky area in front of the ship, you’ll find a small opening almost exactly where the prow of the ship has dug itself into the ground. If you head into that opening you’ll find the last region chest in Ahimsa Park.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Liming Harbor Region Chest #1

The first Region Chest in Liming Harbor can be a little tricky to get to. Hang a right as soon as you get there, go forward a bit, and you’ll notice a pair of fans that resemble a giant turbine.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

The chest is poised behind both blades. While it may look difficult, getting to this chest just requires some precise timing to jump onto the spoke while threading through both blades.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Thankfully, the blades are relatively harmless, and failing the jump doesn’t result in falling to your doom.

Liming Harbor Region Chest #2

To find the second Region Chest in Liming Harbor, keep following the road until it veers to the right into a tunnel.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Inside the tunnel, you’ll find a few platforms if you follow the stairs on your right.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

If you jump on the first platform, then the second, you should see the Region Chest just slightly above you if you turn around.

Liming Harbor Region Chest #3

The Final Region chest in Liming Harbor is located just past the tunnel you were in.

If you follow the path out, you should see a series of catwalks, spanning the space between two buildings. You can reach them by hopping onto the structure on your left with the glass roof.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

If you get a running start, you should be able to get to the top of the catwalk closest to you.

A screenshot of the Neomuna location in Destiny 2: Lightfall

Once on top, you’ll see the Region Chest a little further down the alley on an adjacent catwalk.

From Destinypedia, the Destiny wiki

Neomuna is an advanced Human city on Neptune developed by survivors of the Exodus Indigo following the Collapse ; founded by members of the Ishtar Collective including Maya Sundaresh and Chioma Esi after the discovery of a paracausal artifact called the Veil lead to its creation. It was kept isolated and hidden for centuries during the Dark Age and the City Age until traces of its existence were uncovered by Osiris and the Witness ; leading to an all-out siege by the Shadow Legion to claim the city and the Veil beneath it. It was added as a Destination in the Lightfall expansion.

The city is protected by a line of warriors known as Cloud Striders , who have voluntarily undergone cybernetic augmentation at the cost of significantly reducing their lifespan and defend Neomuna against both Shadow Legion Cabal and the local Vex .

History [ edit ]

Founding [ edit ].

During the Golden Age, Rasputin and the Ishtar Collective created an AI called Soteria using Vex technology. She was designed to simulate deep space travel and extrasolar colonization, as part of Clovis Bray's ECHO project. [1] Shortly before the Collapse, Soteria detected the presence of the Black Fleet outside Sol, and was unable to devise a trajectory that would allow a hypothetical launch to evade the Pyramids and survive unassisted. [2] [3]

Rejecting orders from Clovis Bray I to stand down, Soteria placed subminds of herself inside a large number of ECHO colony ships and forced them to launch into space with supplies, colonists, and crew members on-board, before she was trapped in the Ares Spire on Mars . Most of the ECHO ships were destroyed in their flight, but one was caught by Neptune's gravity well and crashed into the ice giant's surface. [4] Sometime later during the Collapse, a Colony ship called the Exodus Indigo intercepted a Vex distress signal from the outer system, likely sent by the stranded fragment of Soteria on Neptune. [5]

The Exodus Indigo made it to Neptune, where its crew (which included many notable Ishtar Collective scientists, including Maya Sundaresh and Chioma Esi ) discovered Soteria, along with a paracausal entity known as the Veil which had been previously hidden on the planet by Savathûn, the Witch Queen . The colonists also encountered the Vex , who had retroactively inserted themselves into Neptune's history but were prevented from making a direct assault by the paracausal influence of the Veil, not before they manage to isolate the colony from outside assistance by weaving a simulation into Neptune's magnetic field, concealing any evidence of its existence.

With the aid of the Veil's paracausal protection, the colony survived and eventually developed into a thriving city, which came to be called Neomuna.

City Age [ edit ]

Over the following centuries, Neomuna's technological advancement would come to exceed even that of Earth during the Golden Age. Among their most notable achievements were highly versatile nanomachines, developed using elements taken from SIVA, Vex technology and Exominds erased during the initial contact with the Veil, [6] that could be used to rapidly fabricate structures or be used in weaponry. They also developed a sophisticated computer network known as the CloudArk , which was based on the paracausal energy field emitted by the Veil, and could serve as a virtual reality environment for the Neomuni to inhabit.

The Neomuni also developed a means to cybernetically augment a human using nanotechnology, granting them heightened abilities at the cost of reducing their lifespan. Chosen from a pool of volunteers, these augmented protectors became known as Cloud Striders , and served to protect Neomuna from threats such as the Vex .

Hidden by Neptune's Vex-altered magnetic field, Neomuna would remain completely unknown to both the surviving denizens of Earth and the Awoken of the Reef . A single expedition was made by the Neomuni to establish contact and conduct cultural exchange between Neomuna and Earth, but this mission ended in bloodshed when the expedition team ran afoul of the Warlord Carnunta and his followers. As a result of this, the Cloud Strider Stargazer , who had led the excursion, asked the submind Malahayati to purge all mention of Neptune or the Exodus Indigo from Rasputin 's files, in an effort to prevent any hostile invaders from seeking out Neomuna. [7] However, Rasputin's files would retain the codename "Nefele Stronghold" within his list of known Human colonies and settlements, referring to either Neptune or Neomuna specifically. [8]

After this disastrous attempt at first contact, the Neomuni opted to refrain from reaching out to the people of Earth, fearing the conflicts of Earth would reach their safe city, even after the Warlords had been supplanted by more noble Risen such as the Iron Lords and the Last City's Guardians . Likewise, they came to believe that the Exos had gone extinct after the Collapse, unaware that many continued to live within the Last City.

Arrival of the Black Fleet [ edit ]

Centuries later, things would change dramatically for the people of Neomuna. They would detect the return of the Pyramids to the Sol System , and as a precaution, the people of Neomuna collectively entered cryogenic suspension while their minds remained active within the CloudArk , in an effort to prevent casualties during what was predicted to be a second Collapse.

As luck would have it, war came to the doorstep of Neomuna, as the city would come under assault from the Shadow Legion . On the orders of the Witness , they sought to find and secure the Veil , which was entombed beneath the city. The Cloud Striders fought against the Shadow Legion, but despite their efforts, they were losing ground. However, the latest Cloud Striders, Rohan and Nimbus , would gain the aid of the Guardian and Osiris who had come to prevent the Shadow Legion from acquiring the Veil. Despite being skeptical of the Lightbearers, the Cloud Striders agreed to join forces with the Guardians to save their city.

At an unknown point in time after the Arrival, Asher Mir followed the Vex to Neomuna through the Nexus and encountered information about the Veil, which he began to manually research and simulate. His appearance would be noted by archivist Quinn Laghari due to his name appearing in cryptic references within the network, but Asher himself was either unable or unwilling to inform the outside world of his findings. He remained in Neomuna's sector after the Shadow Legion's invasion to monitor the Guardian's excursions into the network, though circumstances would later force him to flee back to Earth and extract his research to the material world. It is later revealed that Asher's activities on Neomuna forced him to resume integration into the Vex Network, resulting in his death four weeks after the invasion when the Nexus captures his consciousness.

Despite Rohan sacrificing his life in the fight, the Cloud Striders' alliance with the Guardians would bear fruit in keeping Neomuna and its people safe, defeating Emperor Calus and especially in protecting the CloudArk from the Vex and Nezarec 's influence on the citizens. However, some Neomuni have displayed skepticism in whether the Guardians were different from the Warlords, as the Earth representatives objected to the label, clarifying that the Guardians have the Vanguard to provide checks and balances and a command structure but the same critics would point out the Vanguard's apparent lack of control over their membership and lack of accountability. To further add to the confusion, the civilian City Council of Neomuna are unsure how to legally classify the Guardians' Ghosts, especially the unpartnered Ghosts when they first begin to visit their city.

Since the Shadow Legion's attack, the Neomuni have petitioned the City Council to expand their military capabilities but this was rejected by the council as they didn't want to risk an increase in military authority or the loss of reconstruction expertise. However, they did agree to approving a petition to expand the scope of civilian defense force efforts.

After the Guardian fails to stop the Witness from establishing a link with the Veil and thus open the portal to the Pale Heart, they join with Osiris and Nimbus to learn more about the nature of the Veil as they search for a solution to bypass the portal, follow the Witness, and prevent it from enacting the Final Shape , from tracking down Rohan's notes leading into the Black Garden to listening to audio logs left behind by Dr. Chioma Esi. They also repair the Cloud Strider monuments damaged by the Vex during the Shadow Legion's siege of the city. After repairing all the Cloud Strider monuments, Soteria informs the Guardian of Ahsa 's existence on Titan and that they must pursue the Augurmind's lead as Ahsa has vital information regarding the Witness's origins. The solution to bypass the portal the Witness created finally presents itself when the Guardian recovers one of the Ahamkara eggs belonging to Riven and Taranis from the Imbaru Engine , located within Savathûn's Throne World . Osiris begins his attempts to replicate the Witness's link to the Veil, but fears abusing its power would cause a similar fate to the Dreaming City on Neomuna. After recovering the remaining eggs and using the 15th wish to allow Crow to enter the Pale Heart via the Ley Lines , Osiris returns to Neomuna to begin forging a bridge between the Veil and the Traveler, allowing the Coalition to follow Crow into the Pale Heart and finally confront the Witness before it can complete the Final Shape.

Trivia [ edit ]

  • Neomuni is the demonym for the citizens of Neomuna.
  • "Muna" is an Arabic name that means "wishes" or "desires", making Neomuna mean "new wishes" or "new desires". [9]
  • "Muna" is also a Native American name that means "overflowing spring", possibly alluding to Neomuna as a "new spring" of life. [9]
  • In many old/proto versions of modern European languages "muna" means "egg", which in this case could allude to the idea of 'new life'. [10]
  • "Neomuna" is a Romanization of the Korean word 너무나 (너무 = neomu, 나 = na), which translates to English as "far too much" or "excessively". [11] However, the pronunciation is "nomuna", without the "e".
  • Neomuna is also an anagram of the word noumena , the plural for noumenon , which is a concept from Kantian philosophy . Noumenon is the opposite of phenomenon , and refers to something that exists independently from human senses. The concepts of noumenon and phenomenon are used in Kantian philosophy to explain causality.

Destiny 2 Neomuni Souvenirs Triumph Guide: How to Get All Lightfall Gear

Image of Noah Nelson

If you want to get the Virtual Fighter Title in Destiny 2 , you’ll need to complete the Neomuni Souvenirs Triumph. This Triumph sounds fairly simple but can be pretty challenging as you need to collect every piece of gear on Neomuna. Here’s how to get the Neomuni Souvenirs Triumph quickly in Destiny 2.

How to Get All Lightfall Armor and Weapons in Destiny 2

The objective for the Neomuni Souvenirs Triumph in Destiny 2 is to obtain all of the gear associated with Neomuna . You can track your progress with this by going to the Collections page and selecting the Neomuni Badge.

Destiny-2-Neomuni-Souvenirs-Badge-Page

Here is all the Neomuni gear in Destiny 2 Lightfall and how to get it all. I’ve broken each section down to help you learn how to get every item required for the Neomuni Souvenirs Triumph in Destiny 2.

How to Get the Neomuna Exotic Ship, Shader, and Emblems

  • Foremost Vimana Exotic Ship – Earn a score of 1,400 or more from Neomuna Triumphs. You can see your active Triumph score when viewing the Neomuna Triumphs page.
  • Scintillant Trajectory Shader – Acquired from Nimbus at rank 24.
  • Sanctuary of Nefele – Complete all Lightfall missions on Legendary difficulty.
  • Terminal Circuit – Open Terminal Overload chests at the end of Terminal Overload activities . This will only work if you launch into the activity from the map page.

For the Foremost Nimana Exotic Ship, you need a score of at least 1,400 in Neomuna. You can check this by going to Journey, then Triumphs, then Neomuna . Here, you’ll see a list of activities and how many points they grant upon completion. Neomuni Sightseeing, a Triumph rewarded to you once you reach 1,400 points, is basically what you’re trying to reach.

The two Emblems aren’t too hard to complete. All you need to do to get Terminal Circuit is open a Terminal Overload chest at the end of a Terminal Overload activity. These rotate daily, but they all count toward getting Terminal Circuit. Sanctuary of Nefele requires you to beat every Lightfall mission on Legendary, which is fun, challenging, and also rewards you with a Lightfall Exotic armor piece of your choosing.

Scintillant Trajectory Shader is easy to get, but it takes a lot of time . You need to reach rank 24 with Nimbus which you can do by doing anything in Neomuna, including the campaign. Be sure to grab and complete as many Neomuna bounties as you can to make this easier.

Best Way to Get All Neomuna Armor Fast in Destiny 2

  • Thunderhead Cover, Mask, or Helm – Acquired from Nimbus by ranking up.
  • Thunderhead Gloves, Grips, or Gauntlets – Acquired from Nimbus by ranking up.
  • Thunderhead Robes, Vest, or Plate – Acquired from Nimbus by ranking up.
  • Thunderhead Boots, Strides, or Greaves – Acquired from Nimbus by ranking up.
  • Thunderhead Bond, Cloak, or Mark – Acquired from Nimbus by ranking up.

Just like the Neomuni Shader, you can get the Thunderhead armor set by ranking up with Nimbus . The fastest way to do that is to complete activities on Neomuna — Lost Sectors, Terminal Overloads, Patrols, Public Events, and bounties.

If you are consistent, you’ll unlock the armor set relatively quickly as you play through the Lightfall campaign.

How to Get All Lightfall Exotic Weapons Fast in Destiny 2

  • Winterbite Exotic Glaive – Acquired from the Strider quest.
  • Final Warning Exotic Sidearm – Acquired from the Final Strand quest .
  • Deterministic Chaos Exotic Machine Gun – Acquired from the Unfinished Business quest .

There are three Exotic Lightfall weapons to get, and they are all really fun and cool in their own right. You’ll get every Lightfall Exotic just by progressing through the Lightfall campaign .

After the Lightfall campaign is over, you’ll continue to get quests from Neomuna, and Winterbite, Final Warning, and Deterministic Chaos are all acquired from these Exotic quests given after completing the Lightfall campaign . Complete those quests, get your Exotic weapons, and this part of Neomuni Souvenirs is done.

Best Way to Get All Neomuna Weapons Fast in Destiny 2

  • Dimensional Hypotrochoid Legendary Grenade Launcher – Acquired from completing Lightfall campaign missions. You might also want to know what the PvP and PvE Dimensional Hypotrochoid God Roll is to help you with that.
  • Iterative Loop Legendary Fusion Rifle – Acquired from completing Lightfall campaign missions.
  • Phyllotactic Spiral Legendary Pulse Rifle – Acquired from completing the From Zero… quest .
  • Volta Bracket Legendary Sniper Rifle – Acquired from completing Lightfall campaign missions.
  • Round Robin Legendary Hand Cannon – Acquired from completing the …To Hero quest.
  • Circular Logic Legendary Machine Gun – Acquired from Zephyr Concourse Terminal Overload drops which are available every Thursday and Sunday.
  • Basso Ostinato Legendary Shotgun – Acquired from Ahisma Park Terminal Overload drops which are available every Tuesday and Friday.
  • Synchronic Roulette Legendary Submachine Gun – Acquired from Liming Harbor Terminal Overload drops which are available every Wednesday and Monday.

There are eight Neomuna weapons to get in Destiny 2 Lightfall. Dimensional Hypotrochoid the Grenade Launcher, Iterative Loop the Fusion Rifle, and Volta Bracket the Sniper Rifle , are all acquired by completing the Lightfall campaign missions.

To get Round Robin the Hand Cannon and Phyllotactic Spiral the Pulse Rifle , you need to complete the From Zero… and …To Hero quests which are main Lightfall quests given to you from Nimbus between Lightfall campaign missions. These quests are straightforward — go here on Neomuna, kill these guys, and come back.

To get Circular Logic the Machine Gun, you need to open a Terminal Overload chest in Zephyr Concourse. To get Basso Ostinato the Shotgun, you need to open a Terminal Overload chest in Ahisma Park. To get Synchronic Roulette the Submachine Gun, you need to open a Terminal Overload chest in Liming Harbor.

The Terminal Overload chest drops come down to RNG , so you might not get the weapon right away. However, you can do the Terminal Overload trick to open multiple chests in one run. To do this, complete a Terminal Overload, open the chests, and then leave the POI on a Sparrow and come back and open the chest. You can do this about two times if you are fast, which greatly increases your chance of getting the Neomuna weapons fast.

Good luck collecting all the Neomuna loot and unlocking the Neomuni Souvenirs Triumph! For more on all things Destiny 2 , I recommend checking out our main guide hub. There, you’ll keep up with the latest Destiny 2 news and receive guides on everything included in the new seasons.

Where Do You Find All of the Apogee Repeaters?

how to solve "Cross the Chasm" puzzle in Destiny 2: Root of Nightmares raid neomuna

The Apogee repeaters are scattered all around the vast city of Neomuna. This triumph is long, so bear with us! To start with, here is a list of where they are sorted by location, so you can tick them off your list one-by-one.

  • Zephyr Concourse:  8 Repeaters
  • Ahimsa Park:  8 Repeaters
  • Liming Harbor:  8 Repeaters
  • Irkhalla Complex:  3 Repeaters
  • Esi Terminal:  3 Repeaters
  • Typhon Imperator:  3 Repeaters
  • Radiosonde:  3 Repeaters
  • Maya’s Retreat:  3 Repeaters

Liming Harbor

Here are pictures of the 8 Apogee repeaters that can be found in Liming Harbor, sorted based on when they were found. Good luck in your search! Below is an image of the first one, which is where you should start so you can follow along with the guide.

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

The second one can be found very close by to the first, simply use your Strand ability to grapple towards it. On a straight path down the road, follow the marker and you’ll come across the third one. In order to find the fourth, you will need to look up a bit since it can be hard to spot this tricky Repeater hidden high in the sky.

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

For the fifth Apogee repeater, head back down to the streets and then towards a building on the other side of the arch there. Run along a couple of roofs to get towards the sixth, which is hanging from a structure that looks a lot like a crane. The seventh Apogee repeater can be found in a cranny past the crane, which you’ll access by continuing on the platforms. Head towards the water for the last one which is on the building that almost looks like a ship.

Zephyr Concourse

Start from the Fast Travel spawn, and then head below the bridge you’re on to find the first, which is attached to a pillar as we’ve shown below.

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

Your next Apogee repeater can be found by going back to the main donut structure and heading to the top of one of its alcoves, where your prize awaits! For the third, exit the donut and go back in the direction of spawn, then climb on top of the parasol-like extension to reach it. The next one will require you to jump on a few platforms, but you can reach it quickly by heading in a straight line. The fifth is much the same, except a little father away and located across a gap (although still in the main area. Defeat a Cabal enemy for the sixth, which can be found high in the sky further along the platform pathway (as shown below).

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

For your seventh Apogee repeater, you will need to go back to the ground pictured below, and then defeat the enemies there if any are present. Look to the building on your left for the next repeater, which you can grab by grappling up there. For the last one, continue trekking across the platforms and you will come across the eighth.

Altimsa Park

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

Fast travel to Altimsa Park and then head towards the large structure for your first one. Then go along the side of the building before grappling onto a pillar for the second. Next, head back into the main part of the park and you’ll find the third on top of another pillar. For your fourth, go back to the building where you found the first and check the other side. To grab the next one look for the curved spine-like structure and then beyond it you can see the fifth, as pictured below.

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

The sixth Apogee repeater can be obtained by going back into the park and then jumping along the alcoves overlooking the road. Your seventh Apogee repeater is hidden a fair distance away, on an overhang that is over the large gap to the left of the Fast Travel spawn point. Go inside the large building that you located at the start of this part of the triumph to grab your eighth and last Apogee repeater, which can be found inside a room of the building, and is hidden in the middle.

Typhon Imperator

Fast Travel to this location and head towards the image shown below so you can find the first Apogee repeater in this spot. It is a little ways away from the spawn point, so make sure you don’t get lost along the way as you battle enemies and follow the location marker!

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

For the second repeater, keep travelling through the building and jump across the pillars that are separated by a big gap. Look up on top of the wall to your left (or potentially right) where you will see an alcove holding the repeater. For the last one in this zone, search for the giant statue and look above it, which is where the third and final Apogee repeater can be obtained.

Maya’s Retreat

There are three Apogee repeaters located in this location as well, all of which can be found close by one another. For the first one, head to the right after spawning in and go through the cave system on the ground until you come out of it, upon which you’ll want to continue travelling to the right and bypassing all of the enemies attempting to stop you. Jump on top of the chainsaw-looking building to grab the first one, pictured below.

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

The second one is on the backside of another building to the right. Go up its stairs and then check behind it to collect the repeater. For the third in this location, use your grapple to travel across a gap and reach it on the rocky platform its standing on.

There are three Apogee repeaters at this location as well, although they are quite well hidden so take your time when exploring. Spawn in, then immediately travel through the building until you reach an open area that looks like a loading bay. Fly to the other side and grab the first repeater there, as shown in the image below.

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

From there, grapple into an entry on the left (don’t go back across) and then fight through any enemies you see. Eventually you’ll enter a generator room that has the second repeater. Once you grab it, keep fighting the many hostiles you’ll encounter as you travel through the ship. The last one can be found in a storage room with four large pillars on its sides.

Esi Terminal

This location in Neomuna also has three Apogee repeaters you will need to collect in order to complete the triumph. The first one can be found by heading right from the spawn, and then grappling up behind a plant in the corner of the area. The second one is to the left of the spawn, where you’ll need to head down an alleyway to grab. Lastly, snag the third Apogee repeater further down the alleyway, and then grapple to the construction site to finish this location. See the picture below for the third repeater!

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

Irkala Complex

Don’t worry, you are almost done with this triumph! Only three more Apogee repeaters remain, and they can all be found in this location. Once you Fast Travel here, head left from the stairs at spawn, through the small square door and then all the way down the corridor until you’re outside. Jump from building to building using their platforms, which will take a while since this zone is massive. Eventually you’ll reach a crane-like structure, next to which you can get the first repeater as shown below.

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

For the next one, head left from here and travel across the gap onto the platforms you’ll see immediately. More parkour will be needed as you work to get onto the building across from the crane, where a second repeater can be found hanging off the side of it. Now travel across to the large structure you can see on the image above, and grab the last repeater on one of the guns that is jutting out from the building’s deck. That’s the last of the Apogee repeaters, well done in your search Guardian!

A neon city with tall buildings and lights in Destiny 2.

How to find the Thrilladrome Lost Sector in Destiny 2 Lightfall

Image of Scott Duwe

Neomuna is one of the best new features added in Destiny 2 Lightfall , the latest expansion in the MMO FPS RPG series from Bungie. The newly-discovered, long-lost Neptunian city is full of personality as much as it’s full of Cabal and Vex enemies.

Destiny 2 players and Guardians alike may be wondering out loud, what was life like on Neomuna before the events of Lightfall began? The neon-soaked metropolis is full of really cool-looking architecture, lighting, and explorable areas.

Neomuna is way different from the depressing post-apocalyptic setting of the Last City on Earth. And nowhere is it more apparent than in one of the destination’s Lost Sectors, which is called Thrilladrome.

Here’s where to find one of the cooler new areas in all of Neomuna in Destiny 2 Lightfall.

Thrilladome Lost Sector location in Destiny 2

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

The very fun Thrilladrome Lost Sector is found in the Liming Harbor region of Neomuna, which is in the southeast area of the map. When you rank up to rank 12 with Nimbus, there’s even a fast travel point in that region for you to get to.

Like all Lost Sectors, the Thrilladrome will become a Legendary Lost Sector where players will be able to try and procure new exotic armor pieces throughout the seasons of each Destiny 2 year.

The Thrilladrome’s location in Neomuna can be seen marked on the map above. It’s a large building with an arcade inside, and you’ll know you’re there when you see the familiar Lost Sector icon painted on the wall above this door.

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

Head inside until you’re in this room with the weird alien plant life encased inside of these two large glass enclosures. Look up above you, and hop up there to the next area.

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

Once you hop up, you will see a vent with a grate on it. As you’ve come accustomed to throughout Destiny 2’s campaigns, you can shoot the vent and open it to head inside. Follow the pathway ahead of you once inside the vent and you will make your way into the Thrilladrome.

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

You’ve got the rest from here. So as to not spoil the fun environment and dialogue you will hear inside, just enjoy the cool Easter egg from one of the citizens of Neomuna explaining a little bit about how life used to be like before the city turned into an unfortunate war zone.

With the release of Destiny 2 Lightfall  expansion, we finally have access to planet Neptune and the city of Neomuna, offering many events, patrols, Lost Sectors, and other such content in different shapes and forms.

While most of the activities in  Destiny 2 Lightfall  are easy to find and start, locating the Lost Sector dungeons is quite daunting as they are well-hidden.

To help you, we are here with a handy guide on all  Destiny 2 Lightfall  Neomuna Lost Sectors locations.

Where are all the Lost Sectors in Neomuna?

We have three Lost Sectors in Neomuna, Hydroponics Delta, Gilded Precept, and Thrilladrome, that players can grind to get Exotic loot, for some challenge, and other reasons.

Hydroponics Delta Lost Sector

destiny 2 neomuna fast travel

The Hydroponics Delta Lost Sector is located in the Zephyr Concourse area in Neomuna. You can access the said area from the Strider's Gate landing zone.

  • Check out our guide on Destiny 2 Lightfall Champions changes and how they work as the new expansion has added nuances that might confuse you.

Once you are there, you will find the Lost Sector symbol on the wall below a Helipad structure. Go near it, look towards the opposite side, and see balconies. Jump on the one with lights, and the door will open up.

Head inside and follow the pathway till you reach a room with plant projections. Below you will find an opening that you can take to head inside the Hydroponics Delta Lost Sector.

Gilded Precept Lost Sector
