Dawlish is only 3 miles away from Teignmouth. The pretty town is probably best known for its iconic lawn and brook, which is home to the famous black swans. The lawns are a perfect place for a picnic or for a spot of people watching in the centre of town. You can also get some fantastic snaps when the sun is out.

Fishing in Shaldon, Teignmouth, South Devon
Shaldon and Teignmouth are fantastic venues. They both offer different fishing, even though they are opposing sides of the same piece of water. Shaldon side is favoured by people spinning for Bass. A light lure (4" sidewinder for instance) cast into the flow, an hour after low will normally provide bass.

They are 20 metres in length and can provide up to 10 berths depending on the size of craft and weather conditions. They are marked "Visitors Pontoon" on the Admiralty Chart and in the Almanac.
