Booked a return flight to Europe

Booked a return flight to Europe . Received a confirmation, stated in my confirmation that they could contact me to verify my credit card information or if there were issues. That due to high volume it could take some time to process , they had multiple ways of contacting me to advise me of a “supposed” issue with my card but did not. It took me multiple times to speak to someone who said there was an issue with the card and someone tried to contact me which is absolutely false. They told me my reservation was pending but now I had to pay 400$ more than a couple days ago. Which of course I refused given the very corrupt nature of this transaction . So the agent tells me she is going to go ahead and cancel my booking. But cannot explain to me how I have a booking to cancel if my booking is invalid ? And if my booking is simply pending why can i not simply pay for it , she could not answer she was unable to even understand the statement and kept apologizing for the inconvenience while trying to get me to agree to paying an extra 400$ . Switch and bait , no thank you .

I hesitated at first

After reading all bad reviews I hesitated to use Flights Channel but airline price was 90% more expensive, so I thought that I have nothing to loose to try them. It took them over 24 h to contact me after receiving Flights Channel confirmation and I received their call after 10:00 PM. I was ready for a speech that they are unable to secure this price but they can offer "great deal". To my surprised Mike confirmed price I got from Skyscanner ! The only BUT for I would like to substract 1/2 star was the fact that to get me this price they delayed my departure time by 4 hours. Even few days later they advertise previous connection for the same price as before. But (!) for the saving of $900 over the airline listing it is a small price to pay. Again, I had to wait over 48 h for my ticket to be issued but after receiving email with airline confirmation number when I checked with airlines website everything seems to be in order. Amazing ! Mike didn't ask for positive review only to consider them for my future travel needs. Of course I will. Since I used this site to investigate them, I felt that I owe other people honest review. 4.5*

The worst experience

The worst experience. This people take your money and work with it. When I was trying to look for my trip on delta web page, I couldn`t find my e-ticket and reservation. I called flight channel, I they just said that my flight was canceled without any reason. Nobody called me and told me about it. I realized that just because I called them. They just said that they refund the money into "1-2 billing cycles", it means more than 30 days if I´m lucky. I'm will be waiting for my money back. For now I have to buy another ticket, obviously more expensive in the last minute.

BEWARE. I booked Reservation on Flights Channel.com on 10/6/23 for the end of october trip. I received an email confirmed booking Number but never received the E-Tickects., then I called and emailed I left Messages No responses, after 24 hours I called again spoke with Patrick Wilson he said confimation is in processing and I will received an email soon withing 24 to 48 hours after my booking. I got a call on 10/8/23 from Lanette Backer said my booking is cancelled because No seats available in Delta, then she tried to sell me another flight at Higher rare in addition of $250.00 more from my original booking of $438.25., I asked why is that when I was confirmed lower rate then she said we can only offer me a rate over $650.00., I reiterete that is WRONG andedup hang up on me.

They give you a good deal and then call you back to tell you that the deal you got has expired and try to sell you something else. The FTC or the Better Business Bureau should shut them down. I booked a flight for my sister and received confirmation. Within 5 minutes both my sister and I received a phone call. I was not able to answer, no message. My sister spoke with a representative who stated the price we booked was not honored by the airline. They stated we could keep the flight, however, it would cost an additional $300. I called the company back and spoke with "Edward McPhearson" stating the terms and conditions indicated the ticket was conditional. I told him the link to terms and conditions did not open when I clicked on it so, I thought it was the information I did read next to the "I accept". This is SWITCH AND BAIT... Booked and paid for a flight from Phoenix to Boise for $277 which is pretty steep for that flight to begin with, but it was pretty last minute. Twenty mins after I booked (and paid for) the flight, I received a phone call from a woman who barely spoke English and she informed me that the price I paid was no good and if I wanted to keep that same flight the actual price would be $397.19. Im sorry but if your website is showing me a certain price and allows me to pay said certain price how are you gunna call and tell me top pay $120 more. Thats like paying $1.99 for a candy bar only to be chased out of the store by the clerk who tells you now its gunna be $4.99 and you need to pay the difference even though you already paid and left... I just can't sit with that logic. I honestly felt like I was being scammed and thought about calling my bank to tell them.

We have been scammed

We have been scammed! Back in October the flight was purchased, paid by Visa. For some reason Visa declined Purchase I then rebooked at a slightly higher price the next day! I received a confirmation by e mail of the flight, the e mail confirmation lacked detail and I was suspicious, i decided to phone the airline directly to confirm our tickets and not to my surprise we did not have tickets.The term for this ordeal is BAIT AND SWITCH. Flight attendant with port stamps arrested in Canada after previous warning about smuggling contraband

The latest in a string of “disappearing” flight attendants from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) did not simply walk away and vanish during a Toronto layover, but was arrested for carrying two counterfeit Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) port stamps, and not passports as multiple Pakistani news sources reported it to be.

According to the Pakistan news channel ARY News , a flight attendant arrived in Toronto March 28 on flight PK789 from Lahore. The outlet reported that she was then arrested by Canadian immigration authorities after they found several passports belonging to different people in her luggage. The Express Tribune, an English-language newspaper based in Pakistan, also referred to passports in a news story about the incident published March 29.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the CBSA confirmed the arrest but said the items were not passports. “On March 28, 2024, a flight attendant for Pakistan International Airlines arriving at Pearson International Airport was sent to Secondary for examination and within one of their suitcases the examining border services officer located two counterfeit CBSA port stamps,” she said.

The 43-year-old female flight attendant has been charged with one count of smuggling, one count of forgery instruments and one count of counterfeiting mark. “To be clear, [the flight attendant] … had two physical CBSA counterfeit port stamps, not stamp impressions.”

A port stamp is a rubber stamp used by border officials to indicate the date and location of an entry or exit from that country.

According to the The Express Tribune , the flight attendant had been previously warned about bringing prohibited items to Canada. A PIA spokesperson told the newspaper that the airline was aware of the incident and in contact with Canadian authorities about the incident.

Sources also told The Express Tribune that two other attendants on the same flight were questioned by authorities before being allowed to leave for the hotel where they stayed before flying back to Pakistan on another flight the next day.

The arrest caps a string of incidents in which PIA flight attendants have disappeared during Toronto layovers, presumably seeking asylum in Canada, according to a PIA spokesperson who spoke to CTV News recently.

Just one month ago, a PIA crew member left her uniform and a brief thank-you note to her employer in a Toronto hotel room before disappearing. It’s at least the second time this year such an incident has happened, and the tenth time in the last two years.

The disappearances are something of an embarrassing trend for the airline, which has seen financial and credibility losses in recent years, and a deadly crash in 2020. Other disappearances go back to at least 2018.

The pattern is the same: the crew member leaves the plane with his or her colleagues but fails to show up for the scheduled return flight. Police and immigration officials are notified, and a PIA spokesperson confirms the incident and says they have contacted authorities and are investigating. The missing crew member is fired and loses all benefits with the airline.

Last year PIA announced it was implementing stricter measures to keep track of its employees on flights to Canada and Europe. It set an age limit for flight attendants on those routes, requiring them to be 50 or older, presumably on the assumption that younger people might be more likely to stray. It is also expected to require more frequent check-ins and better communications from staff members during layovers.

FAA Ready for Spring Break Peak Travel and ‘The Great North American Eclipse’

WASHINGTON — As families across the U.S. continue their spring break travel, the Federal Aviation Administration predicts next week will be the busiest of the season, with most fliers taking off on Thursday, April 4.

While most travelers are heading to their favorite vacation destinations, a significant number of travelers are heading to various states to witness ‘The Great North American Eclipse’ on Monday, April 8. Travelers flying along the eclipse path may encounter limited parking and potential delays at airports due to the high volume of aircraft and drones attempting to witness the total solar eclipse. 

Whether you are headed to the sun or headed to the solar eclipse, the FAA is working to make sure you get to your destinations safely. The FAA wants pilots to be aware of possible impacts to air traffic and airports along the eclipse path and is offering guidance to commercial planes and private aircraft ahead of their flights to witness the phenomenon.   

The FAA reminds spring break travelers to be patient, give themselves extra time at the airport, and pack safely.   

• Be Patient: Federal law prohibits interfering with aircraft crew or physically assaulting or threatening to physically assault aircraft crew or anyone else on an aircraft. Follow all crewmember instructions. Failing to do so can result in civil penalties, criminal fines and imprisonment. The FAA has zero tolerance for unruly behavior.  
• Pay close attention to what’s in your bag. Some common toiletries that passengers pack could be hazardous. Check your bags for aerosol cans that may contain hair spray, deodorant, tanning spray or animal repellant, nail polish, artist paints and glues.  
• E-cigarettes, vaping devices, and spare lithium batteries are not authorized to be packed in checked luggage. Spare lithium batteries – the kind that are found in personal electronic devices and back-up charging devices – can only travel in carry-on baggage.  
• Electronic devices powered by lithium batteries can catch fire if they are damaged or have exposed electrical terminals. The FAA recommends that passengers keep cell phones and other devices nearby in the cabin to quickly access them if necessary.

The total solar eclipse is nearing, so the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is offering guidance to commercial planes and private aircraft ahead of the phenomenon .

The "Great North American Eclipse" will occur on April 8 . During this cosmic event, the Moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun and travel " a narrow path of totality from southwest to northeast across thirteen U.S. states," the government agency said.

Millions of people will want to view it from the ground . But what about those who are airborne?

For many passengers, the impact should be limited to the types of delays associated with high-travel days.

"Due to the high volume of traffic along the eclipse path, (airport) arrivals can expect lengthy delays during peak traffic periods," the FAA said.

The eclipse will begin over the South Pacific Ocean and cross North America, passing over Mexico, the U.S. and Canada, according to the FAA. The eclipse's path will affect the U.S. from 2:30 p.m. EST to 3:40 p.m. EST, the agency said.

Airports in Texas, Vermont, Maine, Canada, New Hampshire, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri will be primarily affected by the eclipse , the FAA said.

"The purpose of this notice is to inform airmen of the possible impacts to air traffic and airports along the eclipse path during the period April 7, 2024, (6 a.m. EST) through April 10, 2024, (midnight EST)," the FAA said.

What the FAA is saying about aircraft ahead of the eclipse

In preparation for the eclipse, aircraft should be ready for potential airborne holding (circling in the air to delay landing), rerouting and FAA-indicated take-off times for all domestic arrivals and departures that abide by instrument flight rules, according to the agency.

Traffic management initiatives , including alternative routing, parking guidance strategies and the slowing down and speeding up of air traffic could be implemented during the total eclipse, according to the FAA.

"There may be a higher traffic volume than normal anticipated at airports along the path of the eclipse," the government agency said. "Traffic should anticipate delays during peak traffic periods."

Parking for aircraft could be limited, particularly at the smaller and uncontrolled airports, the FAA said. Departures could be a challenge for certain aircraft depending on their level of clearance, the agency said.

Pilots could find some restrictions at airports on April 8, FAA says

Pilot training operations at airports will be "extremely limited" and "possibly prohibited" as the eclipse passes, according to the FAA.

Pilots are advised to "carefully" check the Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs), a notice to help prepare for changes in procedure and service and against hazards, the FAA said.

"Specific NOTAM procedures may be revised, and arrivals to some airports possibly restricted so please review NOTAMs frequently to verify you have the current information," according to the agency.

Special security provisions may be in effect during the eclipse, including temporary flight restrictions (TFRs), two-way radio communications and discrete transponder requirements , the FAA said.

TFRs are normally announced through NOTAM about three to five days before the event, the agency said.
