Things To Carry

• Long-sleeved shirt and long trousers.
• Sunglasses, sunhat and scarf. (We don’t recommend that you wear contact lenses as the very fine sand can easily get behind them: please bring your prescription glasses instead.)
• During winter, a warm jacket or shawl for the evening and early morning.
• Toiletries.
• A torch (flashlight)
• For morning departures / late afternoon returns, something to occupy yourself during the long lunch break (books, cards, music etc).
• Camera (be very careful with electronic equipment as the sand can easily enter the mechanism).
• Please bring any medication you think you might need.
• Secure luggage storage and the use of our guesthouse facilities for showering and resting both before and after your safari.
• Free pick-up service from your hotel/transport on the day of your safari: Inform earlier about your hotel name or arrival time and method of transport.
• You will get collect from any hotel inside the city and pick-up time is half an hour before the scheduled start of your safari
• Additional charges apply for pick-ups from hotels located outside Jaisalmer’s city limits.
• This activity can be availed as a private or group tour

Half Day Desert Safari In Jaisalmer: Cancellation Policy

• If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
• Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.

We were picked up in a swift dzire from Pithla Haveli where we stayed. After reaching the desert we did our Jeep Safari (which was not included in our package though) then we did our camel safari. Both of them were more than awesome. Do not miss the jeep safari. If you are there. That cultural night was superb and the buffet dinner was very good. Thanks to Thrillophilia for this awesome trip. Excellent service from Thrillophilia!! Camel safari and zeep safari just for 1250/- (Pickup and drop included). No other vendor would provide an amazing experience for this cost. Cultural Program is good with campfire. We had some issue with the camel rider as he keep on insisting camel race for extra money. Even though it was good, I don't like forcing the people. Also, the desert is not actually Thar desert.It's just a small one lies before Thar, would have been better if we went there. Finally, it's worth the money and U can go for it without any hesitation

It includes only Camel ride and no Desert safari by Jeep. I had to pay 1200 more for 2 people for Desert safari by Jeep. The dinner was OKish. Camel ride was very good, on requesting he took us twice with just 50Rs. tip. There is an option to go for ATV ride also there @600 per person for a small round :P . But it was fun overall and I enjoyed it.

We booked for the half day desert safari in which camel ride was included. Because of rainy weather it was too dusty,thank god we had specs and masks with us to cover. We took jeep safari also by paying extra,finally weather cleared up a little bit & we were able to see the sunset in desert. After that cultural program started,which was nice but it was too cold to sit there in open and watch,we just wanted to have dinner & come back. The dinner was started after the program,& then the cab dropped us to our hotel in jaisalmer. Overall the trip was nice. Thanks Thrillophilia..

Great experience! The trip was very well organised, with delicious food and good adventures. The desert safari was about an hour long, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not only was everything well in budget, but also valuator money. We enjoyed camelback rides by the glorious sunset in the desert, and capped it all off with great Rajasthani cultural dance and music. The Rajasthani food was amazing too! Hope to do it again someday. Thank you, Rajiv.

It was a fine experience. Though the trip was started after 4.30 in the evening, it was too hot. The camel ride made me so happy. The guides were giving a great support. Congrats to the team for arranging such a nice trip. Thank you.

It was a good resort. We got a nice welcome from the staff who were cooperative and nice. Some of the facilities offered to us included lawn access, games( we tried basketball, and cricket). The buffet lunch was good but had limited options.

Once you have taken the jeep into the desert you will be met by camels ready to take you out into the dunes (mine was called Papaya, and he was so gentle). I have never ridden any animal so was a little worried beforehand but it was completely fine. Once on you camels you are out in middle of nowhere, which means you are back to camping basics which was so nice. All though back to basics, the guides work magic on the stove and are able to create great food on the open fire. The most memorable moment for me will be the sleeping under the stars on the second night, the sky was clear, there was no light pollution and it was deathly silent. We celebrated our anniversary with a very nice guide trip, (optional private car) to the abandoned kuldhar village and a stop at the lake for pictures and a little walk around. The luxury tour included a stop at an abandoned village and lake, a desert jeep ride to the campsite, a sunset camel ride to the dunes, and an evening of a Rajasthani cultural experience with traditional dance and music. The dinner was lovely, and accommodation was also great, especially considering we were staying in the middle of the desert. All of the staff were warm, welcoming and clearly loved what they do. After the evening came to a close, my partner and I went to find a darker spot to do some star gazing - it would be amazing if this was also an option in the itinerary as it is so rare to be in a location with such little light pollution. Overall I highly recommend booking this experience. It is great value for money and the perfect opportunity to escape from the business of Rajasthan’s bustling cities for a night or two. We then took a jeep to visit the abandoned village. Some structure here might have been useful (e.g. a guide) so we know what to visit and understand more about the site, but it was still very impressive. We were then driven to our tents which were excellent and very spacious. The camel ride for sunset was magical and led by an experienced and friendly individual who took great photos. The evening dinner and cultural events were excellent. The buffet had many lovely options and the musicians and dancer were so talented. Our only slight gripe was that we never received the complimentary drink so ended up paying for our drinks having thought the first was free! Overall, this is a really fun experience, very different to anything else we have done in India and run by friendly staff. It includes only Camel rides and no Desert safari by Jeep. I had to pay 1200 more for 2 people for Desert Safari by Jeep. The dinner was good. The camel ride was very good, on requesting he took us twice with just 50Rs. tip. There is an option to go for an ATV ride also there @600 per person for a small round :P. But it was fun overall and I enjoyed it.

We booked for the half-day desert safari in which a camel ride was included. Because of rainy weather, it was too dusty, thank god we had specs and masks with us to cover. We took a jeep safari also by paying extra, finally, the weather cleared up a little bit & we were able to see the sunset in the desert. After that cultural program started, which was nice but it was too cold to sit there in the open and watch, we just wanted to have dinner & come back
