It is the perfect gateway to the lively towns and villages of the ‘Garden of France.’

The hotel is also conveniently located in front of a tourist office and 50 metres from the train station and the Vinci International Convention Centre! We are open all year round.

Our rooms are available since 3:00 PM every day, et we have the pleasure to welcome you at the front desk until 9:00 PM. For any late check-in, please let us know when you make the reservation.

The rooms were clean and were close together as requested since we split family across 2 separate rooms. The weren't super large, but had enough space for what we needed for a 1 night stop on our trip. The bathrooms were good and had what we needed. The hotel had the requested pack and play to use as a bed for our baby which was helpful.

Great welcome. The host was very friendly. He showed us where the nice places in Tours are for dinner. The hotel was very quiet and we slept well. Breakfast was also perfect.

The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hotel was located within a short walk of the high street. We managed to get a free parking space fairly close to the hotel - although this was the only one available when we first arrived. The receptionist was helpful.

Everything was great and comfortable. We love the decoration and style of the hotel. Location was also great and we could park in front of the main entrance for free in that area. Windows were brand new and couldn't hear a thing from the street.

A hodgepodge of original features and contemporary additions, decor can feel disjointed at times, though it's mostly tasteful. Expect a classic, theater-like lobby, where blue frond-motif carpets and a sky mural ceiling combine with gold-topped marble columns and wrought-iron balconies in front of murals of people in old-fashioned period garb. It's sometimes hired out for functions with row seating, but generally it has arrangements of faux-leather sofas and throw pillows in primary colors. This carpet continues into the restaurant, where teal walls and armchairs in various green hues create a bold look. Fortunately, rooms are a bit more subdued and contemporary. The property attracts primarily couples, and the atmosphere is generally relaxed, with most guests spending their days exploring the town and surrounding region.

A big downside is that rooms lack mini-fridges and kettles, but they do have air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs with the Disney channel, electronic safes, and wardrobes. Standard Rooms are a tight 18 square meters (194 square feet), while upgraded rooms add more space, bathrobes and slippers, and Nespresso machines. Modern bathrooms have showers, separate toilets, hairdryers, quality toiletries, and vanity kits. Some have jetted tubs. Suites start at 35 square meters (377 square feet), have cozy living areas, and sleep four to six people. Views are of the tranquil courtyard or street.

Indoor pool and simple spa and well-reviewed French food at restaurant

Added in 2016, a small, heated indoor pool looks upscale and sits next to a black hot tub and an open rainfall shower. An attached glass-roofed terrace is tiny but houses a couple of loungers and woven basket chairs. A steam room is also available. Overlooking the pool, the tiny gym has just a few cardio machines. The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast (at a fee) with options such as eggs, sausage, and standard continental fare, plus great local cheeses and sweet brioche breads. Lunch and dinner at La Touraine are traditional French cuisine such as steak tartare and seafood dishes, but the restaurant is closed on weekends. The bar offers local fine wines and spirits. Parking is at a fee and reservations are recommended for the limited spaces. Wi-Fi is free throughout.

Day 1 Panoramic city tour

Welcome to the glorious capital of Russia, Moscow! You’ll be met by your driver at the airport and taken to your centrally located hotel.

After check-in and rest, meet your private guide at the hotel lobby for a comprehensive tour of Moscow by car. Visit the starkly contrasting Theatre Square to see the stunning Bolshoi Theatre, pass Tverskaya Street, the city’s main boulevard and home to the landmark Yeleseyevskiy Grocery Store.

You’ll enjoy a panoramic drive along the Moskva River, where a huge, controversial state of Peter the Great was erected. Pass by the legendary Gorky Park and the White House before a stop at the architecturally stunning Novodevichy Convent, and the observation platform at Sparrow Hills, for a bird’s eye view over this staggering megalopolis.

Day 2 Red Square and Kremlin

After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will take you on a walking tour of the historical city centre. Stroll through the Red Square, the hub of cultural life in Moscow, with its elaborate ‘stone flower’ fountain and fantasy-like St Basil’s Cathedral – a postcard-perfect symbol of the nation. Admire the grandiose façade of GUM, the city’s most luxurious shopping centre, and visit Alexander’s Garden, with its eternal flame and the chance to watch a changing of the guards.

Day 3 Metro and Arbat Street

Take a stroll along Old Arbat street - the most famous street in Moscow. Through the centuries Arbat used to be one of the most bohemian places in Moscow. Today Arbat is a promenade full of small cozy cafes and street life.

The afternoon is free for you to either enjoy the rest of the day on your own or choose among optional excursions to explore more of Moscow. Visit the Tretyakov Gallery or Pushkin State Museum to admire Russian art. Join locals for a stroll at the Gorky or VDNH park.

Visit beautiful Kolomeskoye Estate or Izmailovo Kremlin, or spend a day exploring the beautiful city of the Golden Ring (Russian province) - Sergiev Posad. In the evening you will be transferred to the airport for your departure to your next destination.

Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you.
